Mizu: Sorry for such a short chapter but it is what it is~! Oh man...I cannot wait for the next chapter! Just to give you guys a heads up, this chapter covered the 30th and 31st weeks~! Disclaimer: I don't own Gravitation. I think that I might have gone crazy by now if I had.

Give it a Try- Chp. 10: Soon...

Week 30...

Shuichi groaned in frustration as he hastily scribbled out another name from his extensive list of possible baby names. Even since the incident at the pool, Eiri and himself had been in near constant work at preparing for the arrival of their little stars. Agreeing with his doctor, Shuichi had decided on planning for his cesarean on the twenty-fifth of July. There was no particular reason for the date. It was honestly just convenient for all parties involved. The date had been marked and set. He would go in the night before to prepare and by noon on the twenty-fifth, his little stars would make their grand entrance into the world.

There was still much to do up until that day though. Shuichi had been alternating between looking at various baby magazines to select the furniture he wanted and trying to find names that both he and Eiri agreed on. The blond was searching the internet for a possible home for their new family with little success. It wasn't that money was a problem. It was more the fact that nothing matched up with all they wanted and the writer was far to stubborn to compromise.

"Hm..." Shuichi hummed, tapping his pen against his lip, "...what about Kenta?"

"Uesugi Kenta..." Eiri paused in his searching before shaking his head, "No."

Shuichi sighed, crossing the name off of both copies of boy names he had printed off, "...What about Kioshi and Koichi? I really like how Kioshi means pure and Koichi means light."

"No," Eiri rejected, "Too similar. We'll get tongue tied whenever one of them gets in trouble."

"Mamoru aaaand...," Shuichi quickly flipped through the pages, "Tamotsu? They both mean defender or protector."

"Uesugi Mamoru...Uesugi Tamotsu," the blonde tried out on his tongue before shrugging, "Maybe. Keep those as a possiblilty."

"Finally," Shuichi smiled, "We're making progress."

"I just want to make sure that the names sound good," Eiri defended.

"You do realize that we won't fully decide on their names until we actually get to hold them," Shuichi chuckled, "Hm...What about Yuichi and Shoichi?"

Eiri blinked, looking at his lover, "Why those two?"

Shuichi shrugged, "I dunno. I just like how they sound. Plus, its kind of giving an homage to our names."

"Yuichi?" Eiri repeated.

"...your pen name," Shuichi stuck out his tongue.

"Let's move on to girl names," Eiri stated, groaning as he looked through another page of houses, "None of these are right..."

"Let's see," Shuichi grabbed the other list, "There's Ayaka...Chiasa...Chieko..."

"No...no...no," Eiri responded in time.

"Eri..." Shuichi snickered, crossing the name off, "Definitely not...Fumiko?"

"What does it mean?"

"Child of treasured beauty."

"Maybe."

"Keiko...Kazumi...Kiyoko..."

"No," Eiri sighed, rubbing his hands over his face, "What do you think?"

"Hm...none of those tripped my fancy," Shuichi stated truthfully, eyes going back through the list before widening, "...what about Emi?"

"Emi?" Eiri repeated.

"Yeah. It sounds really cute and it means beautiful blessing," Shuichi smiled.

"Uesugi Emi," Eiri tried, a small smile crossing his lips, "I like it. Keep that one."

Shuichi nodded, adding the name to possible ones for their daughter, "How's the house search going?"

"Terrible," Eiri growled, "Nothing fits..."

"We can compromise," Shuichi stated.

"No," Eiri shook his head, "Everything that we want is reasonable so there is no reason for us to do so."

"Whatever you say," Shuichi stretching a bit, grabbing a catalog of baby things and a red marker.

"Please don't pick any atrocious colors," the writer pleaded.

"No promises," Shuichi mischievously laughed.

"I fear what you are going to paint our childrens' room..." Eiri shuddered, clicking on a link to what he had assumed to be just another large house.

Golden eyes widened as he looked through the images provided. It wasn't just another large house. It was almost a whole freaking mansion! It had twenty-eight different rooms, four of which were full bathrooms. The was a master bedroom was situated on the top floor of the three story building. Whoever lived in the building could easily decide for themselves exactly how many bedrooms there would be. Given there current needs, they could easily set at least five or six of those rooms to be bedrooms for their children and guests. It came with an enormous and complete modern kitchen that led directly into the dining room. There was a large room with a fireplace that would be perfect as a reading room. A wrap around balcony surrounded the second floor as well as a completely separate balcony attached to the master bedroom on the third floor.

The best part about the house? It was no where near the major metropolitan areas of the city. Hell, given how massive both the front yard and the back yard were, he wouldn't be surprised if it was out in a rural area with little to no people near them. It was perfect~!

Eiri quickly checked the price and inwardly winced. No matter how he looked at it, 88,000,000 yen was a lot of money (A/N: about $750,000 if google is to be trusted). True, with how frugal Shuichi had been with all the money he had ever earned from his various concerts and album sells and just how much he had earned over the years being one of the most popular authors in Japan, the couple had more than enough to purchase the property. It was still a serious amount though. One that Shuichi would not ignore disappearing from their now joint bank account. Hell, the brat threw a major fit when he saw that Eiri went and had his favorite car completely taken care of and replaced all old pieces in one go.

The blonde bit his lip as he looked at the content pinkette at his side. Did he bring this up to Shuichi now? With such a large amount of money riding on this purchase, Shuichi would demand that they go and inspect every nook and cranny of the house before even remotely considering purchasing it. Then he would figure just how much they would spend a year on keeping a house of that size up and running. Again, money still would not be that much of an issue there. But Shuichi wouldn't care. He would only agree to purchase the place after he picked everything apart and by then it might honestly be too late. Buildings didn't go up for sale very often.

'But do I risk buying it and only telling the brat after our brats arrive?' Eiri thought to himself, '...I should at least go and check it out...'

"Oi, brat," Eiri sounded after a few more moments of arguing with himself over what to do.

"Hm?" Shuichi sounded.

Quickly deleting his history and shutting his laptop down, "I'm going to go run some errands. Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."

Shuichi rolled his eyes, "I won't. Just don't take long."

"Do you need anything before I go?" Eiri asked as he stood from the couch.

"Something to drink and maybe a snack," Shuichi stated, circling a pink car seat from the catalog.

"Water or..."

"My herbal tea should be just inside the door," the rock star said without looking up, "Also, my watermelon chunks should be in there next to it."

"Got it," the blonde said, quickly retrieving them.

"Oh, Eiri?" Shuichi sounded, finally looking at the blond as he sat the requested items beside the pinkette.

"What?"

The vocalist quickly jotted several things down on a piece of paper, "Since you're already going to be out, can you see about picking up some of these things?"

"Diapers...animal print onesees...cute hats?" Eiri read, "...really?"

"Yes," the rock star beamed, "I can't go with you yet so don't get too many since I want to go shopping for their clothes too~!"

"Why not just wait?" Eiri questioned, tucking the list in his pocket nevertheless.

"Who knows when I'll be let out to actually go into public!?" Shuichi gasped dramatically, "I will not have my babies cold with nothing to wear!"

"Alright," the blonde shook his head, grabbing his keys before heading to the door, "See when I get back, brat."

"K~!"

Hiro froze when he stepped out his door to once again see Yuki's vehicle outside, "Oh hell no! I am so not going through that torture again with you!"

"Get in," the writer said flatly.

"No!" Hiro protested, "For all I know, that stupid lady is going to be showing us around again."

"We're only going to one place," Eiri sighed as his passenger side window rolled down.

"Hello Nakano-san," another familiar blond greeted the guitarist.

"S-Seguchi-san?" Hiro blinked.

"Eiri-san asked me to accompany the two of you to look over a house he found," Tohma stated, "Since out of the three of us, you know Shindou-kun the best, we figured that it would be best to bring you along."

"...fuck..." Hiro groaned, getting into the overly expensive car, "This is the last time, though!"

"That's what I'm hoping," Eiri smirked before speeding off with his two prisoners for the day.

Hiro's mouth dropped when he saw the gigantic building before him. This was the house Eiri was looking at?! Oh man, now he understood why he wanted him there. Shuichi would throw a total fit if the man spent whatever absurd amount of money without his consent. Hiro was supposed to act as Shuichi's voice. Tohma was the middle man that would look at everything in a very professional way. Eiri was going to be looking at it as a soon-to-be father.

'Still though...' Hiro thought as they entered the massive building, 'This is a really gorgeous building. There is so much that Shu could do to keep him busy and make this place absolutely perfect...'

"Ah, you must be Uesugi-san~!" an overly happy older gentleman beamed at the three as he descended the spiral staircase in front of the entryway, "I must say that I was surprised to get your call earlier about wanting to come see my beloved home. Most don't particularly care for it do to the price tag."

"Well, my partner is expecting triplets any day now so we're going to need a lot of space," Eiri flashed his public smile causing Hiro to flinch, "Money isn't really a problem seeing as the two of us have been saving for a very long time now."

"I see, I see," the man smiled right back, "But, if you'd excuse this old man his curiousity, why such a large home? Yes, three children will need much space to run around but surely not this much."

Hiro couldn't help but snort, "I-I'm sorry sir. B-But his partner is my best friend and I can tell you that if their children have their mother's energy, this big of a home might not be enough."

"It doesn't help that Shindou-san has a very eccentric taste in almost everything in life," Tohma shook his head.

The man blinked before laughing loudly, "It certainly does sound like you're going to have your hands full, Uesugi-san~!"

"The only problem is that my partner couldn't come along with us," Eiri sighed heavily before jabbing his thumb in Hiro's direction, "Hence why I had to kidnap this one."

"Thank you for using the correct term," Hiro snickered, "But being pregnant with triplets and nearing your due date does that to people."

"Ah, so I take it that your misses doesn't know that you are here?" the man teased.

Eiri stifled a laugh, "N-No..."

"Well, let's not keep her waiting for you very long," the man beamed, starting to walk toward the first room, "Hopefully, you'll find this to be acceptable to raise your family, Uesugi-san."

An hour later found Eiri happily signing for the gigantic home with a equally giddy Tohma and Hiro standing off to his side. The man who had shown them the home had been very generous, dropping the price down about ten million yen so long as the writer paid him in full that day. After seeing just how perfect the house was for him and his lover, he jumped on the chance, sending Tohma out to collect it. The writer felt excitement course through him as he finished the paperwork. It was theirs~! They finally had a home! Now all he had to do was fill it with everything for his children without Shuichi knowing...

Week 31...

"What?!" Eiri roared into the phone causing his resting brat to wince at the volume, "Like hell I'm going to that!"

"Eiri..." Shuichi groaned, readjusting the heating pad resting on his lower back, "What's going on?"

"It's my editor..." Eiri growled, not caring to cover the mouthpiece, "They want me to come out and do a book signing today."

"How come?" Shuichi yawned.

"Apparently they're worried about my popularity falling too much," Eiri rolled his eyes, "It's not like I haven't sent you a new manuscript last week!"

Shuichi absentmindedly rubbed his large baby bump, "Why don't you go?"

"Huh?" Eiri blinked.

"It'll be good for you to get out of the apartment for a bit," Shuichi shrugged, "Plus once our little stars get here you probably won't be able to do a signing for a while."

"But what about you?" Eiri asked, uncharacteristically gently.

"I'll be fine," Shuichi assured, "It shouldn't take you very long, right? Just a couple of hours. So long as I don't push myself, I'll be able to take care of myself for that long."

Eiri was silent for a moment, eying the heating pad his brat was resting against.

"I think I just pulled a muscle last night, Eiri," Shuichi smiled at his concern, "You go and see your fans. They probably won't see a lot of you for a while anyway."

The blonde remained quiet for a few more moments before sighing heavily, "Fine...I'll go..."

Shuichi smiled at the cheering he heard echo through the ear piece. The room was returned to its former silence as the writer grouchily hung up the phone before grabbing his keys.

"I will only be gone for an hour and a half brat. I won't let them keep me for longer than that," Eiri assured, slipping his jacket on, "I'm only doing this because you want me to as well."

"I know," Shuichi smiled, shaking his head, "Now get going you."

"Call if you need anything," Eiri said as he headed out the door, "And I mean anything!"

"Hai~!" Shuichi chuckled, sitting up with a groan as he heard the door close, "Now...I guess I should probably get some things packed, huh..."

In all truth, as much as he was excited to meet his darling little stars, he was terrified of what the end of the next week would bring. He hadn't had a surgery since he had his appendix removed when he was ten. He didn't even know the procedure that the doctors would be going through to bring his children into the world. That was a whole other thing. For the last several months, he carried all three safely inside of him. In his womb, which was still a strange thing to wrap his mind around, nothing the world tried to throw at them could harm them without going through him first. And whatever wanted to harm him had to go through a pissed Eiri. But once they came into their world, they would be so vulnerable. He wouldn't always to protect him. The thought of not being there to save his children made his blood run cold.

"Stop it," Shuichi told himself, shaking his head as he scooted to the edge of the couch, "Don't you dare start thinking like that. They'll...we'll have Eiri right beside us to keep us safe. I just know that he's going to be the most overprotective daddy that the world's ever seen."

With a deep groan and a strong shove, Shuichi forced him onto his feet. He slowly waddled to the bedroom, deciding to at least pull out what clothes he wanted to wear after his little stars were born. A grin broke out on his face as he thought of all his favorite outfits he would be able to wear again soon...

Fifteen minutes later in the apartment next door to the Uesugi/Shindou residence...

"Thanks for letting me crash here last night bro~!" Tagumi Michio chuckled as he stepped out of the spacious apartment.

"No problem," his older brother yawned, "Make sure ya apologize to ya girlfriend doh..."

"Yeah...I guess I really ticked her off," Michio sighed heavily before looking around, "Still, this is a pretty nice place."

"Yeah, once ya get used ta havin' rabbits as neighbors," his brother snorted, pointing to the apartment down the hall, "I swear, dat missus has a dude dat ain't never satisfied."

"What do you mean?" Michio grimaced at his brother's pronounciations.

"Well, da lady in dere is prego as all fuck and da guy seems ta pounce on her every night," he snickered, "Gotta say I is jealous."

"Yeah..." Michio sweatdropped just as the sound of breaking glass echoed out from the apartment in question, "...you said she was pregnant?"

"Oh yeah," his brother made a motion to show just how large the "woman's" belly was, "Probly gonna bop anyday now."

"...should we go check up on her?" Michio asked, "I heard some glass breaking."

"Nah, da lady is a clutz," his brother shrugged just as a loud thud was heard from the very same apartment.

"It doesn't matter if she is," Michio scolded, stalking over to the door, "If she hurts herself, her kids would be in trouble."

"You's too kind, Michi," his brother yawned again, following slowly.

"I'm a nurse," Michio sighed, "I can't help but be worried about the health of others."

The young nurse knocked loudly on the door. When no one answered, he tried again. This time he was answered by a low pained groan from on the opposite side of the door.

"Ma'am? Are you alright?" Michio questioned, worry increasing every moment.

There was silence for several seconds before, "...I-I d-don't thinnk so..."

Michio's heart pounded in his chest, "I'm a nurse ma'am. Would you like me to come in and see if I can help?"

"...y-yes..."

Michio let out a relieved sigh, trying the door only to find it firmly locked, "Can you unlock the door?"

"N-No..." the "woman" whimpered just before a pained scream erupted out of her.

"Shit!" Michio cursed, jumping back far enough to kick at the door.

"What're ya doing!?" his brother shouted.

"Trying to get to her!" Michio snapped, foot landing firmly on the door, causing it to buckle slightly.

"Why?"

"Because she might be going into labor, baka!" Michio shouted just as he managed to get the door to snap off its hinges, "Ma'am!? Where are you?!"

A loud cry from the bedroom hallway filtered through the empty apartment, leading the frantic nurse to where the sweating, crying body of what he assumed to be a heavily pregnant woman laid. Beside her was glass of what he assumed to have been a tea of some sort, shattered along the wood floor. Cursing under his breath, Michio knelt next to the woman.

"Nii-san! Call an ambulance!" Michio ordered.

"R-Right!" the older man gasped, rushing out of the apartment.

"Don't worry ma'am," Michio reassured, grunting as he lifted the woman's head onto his lap, "Help's coming."

"H-Hurts," the woman deeply groaned, hands shakily grasping at her large stomach.

Gulping, the nurse carefully lifted her shirt to ensure that no glass had dug into her giant mound. All colored drained from his face as he watched a dark blackish red splot growing slowly underneath her skin. He was no expert on childbirth or pregnancies but even he knew that it didn't mean anything good.

"Sh-Shit," he cursed softly, licking his lips as he forced him to continue examining the obviously pained body.

Another scream escaped the soon-to-be mother, making the young man feel completely helpless. Dammit, what was he supposed to do? He wasn't trained to help a woman give birth! He sure as hell didn't want to attempt it without a doctor there to ensure everything would be alright either!

Fighting down his own fears, Michio shakily took one of the hands gripping the large baby bump, feeling it desperately cling to his own, "M-Ma'am...I-I need you to tell me everything you can a-about y-your child."

"N-Not ch-child," the "woman" fought to get out, eyes squeezed shut in pain, "T-Triplets..."

"Triplets!?" Michio gasped, fear skyrocketing.

If it was triplets, then they were most likely premature. There was absolutely no way that he could deliver them without the proper equipment.

'B-But what choice do I have?!' Michio yelled at himself.

"M-Ma'am, d-don't worry," Michio tried to comfort, "I-If th-the EMTs don't get here f-fast enough, I-I'll help you deliver your babies."

The woman frantically shook her head no, "C-Can't..."

"Can't? Why not?" Michio gaped, remember hearing about how some woman would become so terrified that they lost confidence of themselves.

"J-Just...c-can't," another scream interrupted the mother as the hand clinging to Michio's gripped his tightly.

Fear gripping his heart, Michio switched to trying to keep the woman calm. Gently, he brushed the bizarre pink locks that stuck to his patient's face aside. The woman flinched before finally opening her amethyst eyes. Michio's breath caught in his throat. He had seen those eyes before.

"Sh-Shindou?!" he gasped, "I-I thought y-you were a dude!"

Shuichi gasped in pain, barely recognizing the voice. It wasn't one that he was familiar with any more but back in high school, it belonged to one of the very few males that didn't tease or bully him. They weren't friends in any stretch of the word but they were at least on somewhat friendly terms. When Bad Luck performed at their class reunion many months back, Michio had congratulated both himself and Hiro on reaching their dreams. It was one of the few people he had been happy he had seen there.

"T-Tagumi-san..." Shuichi whimpered, tears in his eyes, "H-Help..."

"I-I will, Shindou-san," Michio promised, squeezing the hand he held, "D-Don't worry! I-I'll make sure that everything w-will be okay!"

"P-Please...c-call m-my d-doctor..." Shuichi managed to get out before pain surge through him once again resulting in another pained scream, "A-And...E-Eiri..."

"Right!" Michio nodded, looking around desperately for the rock star's phone.

Just as soon as the nurse found the device laying off to the side of the downed vocalist, a much louder scream was ripped from the singer before he passed out. Michio stared at the man, frozen in shock and fear before he realized what happened.

"O-Oi! Shindou! W-Wake up!" he shouted at his former classmate, eyes catching just how large the dark red the spot on his stomach had grown, "Sh-Shindou! Shindou! SHINDOU!"

Mizu: Oh no~! Poor Shuichi~!
