The next morning Dean woke up face to face with Roman , the Samoan was fast asleep gently snoring making him smile, he felt at peace lying with him and didn't want to get out of bed to face his problems. He still didn't know what him and roman were , everything between them was so natural it was weird , he'd never felt so at home and safe with someone. He placed a hand on Romans head and gently stroked his face causing Roman to give a content smile yet he still didn't wake up. After yesterday Dean wanted to just run away and never face anything ever again but he knew it wasn't possible , he didn't want to go see his dad because he didn't deserve it but he needed answers and this was the only time he could ever get them if what Wade said was true , he decided to go see his dad tomorrow so he had time to figure out what he was going to say. He wanted Roman to come with him but he was scared he was putting to much pressure on him , he's already put him through hell , he even got shot for him. They'd only know each other for 2 months he didn't want Roman to leave him when he realised how much baggage dean had , saying that it was probably a bit too late. Everything over the past 2 months he wouldn't of been able to handle without roman being there , hell he'd probably be dead if it wasn't for him.
"Don't think to hard you'll get a headache" Romans spoke as he slowly opened his eyes.
"there's too much going on up here " dean replied tapping his own head before roman took hold of both his hands placing a chaste kiss on them both.
"You can always talk to me you know that right?"
"of course I do , I just don't want to put too much pressure on you , we haven't known each other that long and I've put you through more than some people go through their entire life" dean confessed avoiding romans eyes.
"hey look at me" roman hooked his finger under his chin making dean look at him. " we may not have known each other for a long time but it feels like years , we spend every day together and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm pretty sure I'm not a bundle of joy to live with but I promise I will try and be the best boyfriend I could be".
"Boyfriend?"
"Well that's if you say yes?" Deans response was to pull roman closer and giving him a deep kiss. As they pulled away they had matching smiles.
"I'm going to take that as a yes" roman chuckled , before he looked at the clock next to him and realised it was time to get up. Today was the day for his interview and as much as he dreaded it he knew he'd get through it as long as he had dean.
"Come on sexy , lets get up for breakfast we've got a busy day ahead of us" dean groaned sticking out his bottom lip.
" Do we have to? , I don't feel like getting out of bed"
" I'll go make breakfast and bring it in here for you , but we have 45mins max to get ready and be at headquarters so you got to eat fast" dean gave roman a smile.
"Deal!". 45 minuets had passed faster than they would of liked and before long they were walking to Stephanies office.
" Fuck ! Dean what am I going to say" Roman said squeezing his hand tightly
"just calm down and tell the truth. Some people might be dicks about it but fuck 'em if they want to judge you on your sexuality instead of your personality then they're fucking stupid and you don't need them. However I know you'll get support from a lot of people times are changing Rome and you telling people you prefer to bed a man isn't going to end your career all that matters is your good in the ring" Roman nodded and smiled.
" You know I don't know what I'd do without you"
"and your not going to find out big man , now come on you've got an interview to do" roman took a deep breathe before knocking on Stephanies door.
"come in" she shouted. Roman opened the door and dean gave his hand an encouraging squeeze before gently letting go and walking with him to sit in the chairs in front of Stephs desk.
" hello roman , I've decided your interview will be live on raw tonight with Michael Cole however I need to know what you plan on saying" Steph asked bluntly.
" well I plan on telling people the truth , I'm gay and I'm not afraid to say it anymore"
" hmm , are you sure you want to go down the truth road because trust me it could get really messy.
" he knows what he getting into" dean defended , he didn't build romans confidence for Steph to knock it all back down.
" yes I'm sure it does , however we've only ever had one openly gay wrestler and lets just say even though people backstage and some fans were ok with it there was still a lot of backlash from some other fans"
"I know I've been through this wi-" Dean stopped as Roman put his hand on top on his.
"listen I know this is a risk , but its one I'm willing to make. I've realise that not everyone is going to like me anyway , but I'd rather fans like me for me than fickle fans who like me for someone I'm pretending to be" Steph let out a sigh .
" okay but this is on your back not mine if this goes wrong there's nothing I can do to change it , however I will make the interview backstage instead of on stage just in case" Steph stated.
"thanks , I know this is all on me but I'm finally ready to take the responsibility"
" okay ,and dean I'm glad your here don't forget you've got NXT today , you'll be facing Rollins for the title" Dean had a big smile on his face.
"thanks Mrs McMahon"
"please that's my mothers name , call me Steph" dean nodded and as they were leaving Steph called for Roman making him turn around.
"I forgot to say I'm proud of you" she said with a smile.
" Thank you " roman said sincerely.
"now go, you two are making me go soft" she chuckled. When they both left the room , they didn't know what to say.
"I think we have the best boss ever"
" yeah , well wait till you meet hunter see if your still saying that then" Roman laughed. hunter wasn't all bad but he was a man on a mission trying to prove to his father in law he was worthy of his daughter and business.
"please , didn't I ever tell you I was a people person"
"no ,because it's not true" roman snorted causing dean to stare at him for a while.
" yeah I think your right" dean replied making them both laugh decided to hand out at home all day playing computer games until it was time to get ready and go to NXT for deans match. Once they got there they bumped into Seth Rollins.
"whoops sorry man , for a wrestler I'm a clumsy fuck" Seth said before looking up.
"hey your Roman Reigns , your a great wrestler man"
"thanks , I've got to say your pretty great too I've watched most of your matches no wonder your champion" Roman replied truthfully , he had seen Seths matches the guy was an awesome wrestler he'd love to be in the ring with him one day.
"Means a lot coming from you dude , hopefully I'll be joining you in the main roster soon".
"I hope so too , can do with some new talent" roman smiled. Dean gave out a cough reminding them they were their making roman chuckle.
" you must be dean , heard a lot about you" Seth said.
"likewise , cant wait for the match"
"yeah me either , I'd like to see what your made of but trust me your not going to beat me"
"oh really ?" Dean asked this kid was confident.
" yeah like he said I'm pretty great" Seth said before walking away. Dean scoffed before facing roman.
"that kid really does think he's the dogs bollocks"
" oh come one dean a bit of friendly competition trust me he ain't as much of an asshole as most of the others here. now come on babe you got a match to win" Roman said giving him a quick kiss before leaving to get ready while he sat in another room watching the show. It wasn't long before the match started and when Dean came out to his music Roman had a huge smile on his face,this was what dean was supposed to do and he couldn't wait to watch his man in action. Dean got the upper hand early on in the match however Seth soon evened it out with his athletic ability the match lasted about 25 minuets and unfortunately for Dean ,Seth ended up winning. Roman could tell by the look on deans face that he wasn't happy so when Dean came backstage cursing under his breathe he wasn't surprised.
"You did amazing out their babe"
"yeah , well then why didn't I fucking win"
"he's a champion you cant expect to win him just like that"
"what the fucks with that guy 'I've watched most of your matches no wonder your champion' do you want him or something" Dean mimicked showing roman the real reason he was pissed.
"are you kidding me? That's why you don't like him , cause you think I want to fuck him?"
"well don't you" dean asked.
" of course not why would I when I've got you , your everything I need what I said to him was purely business , I do think he's a great wrestler and as much as you don't want to admit it you do to"
" I never said he wasn't , he must be if he beat me" dean said finally showing a smile.
"exactly he's been in this company for a long time , you cant just expect to win the championship straight away but trust me you have more matches like that you'll join me in the main roster in no time" Deans smile widened showing his dimples.
"oh for fuck sake , why cant you just let me brood. Stephs not the only one you're turning soft and I don't like it"
"you may not like it , but you'll have to deal with it" roman chuckled. "now come on I want you to come to raw with me , you may not be able to be on camera but I need you there" he said giving him a kiss.
" Yes sir" dean said with a mock salute
" hmm I like that"
"well don't get used to it , now hurry up before your late don't want to piss the bosses off" dean grabbed all of his things before walking off to the car park roman following nervously behind.
A/N so sorry for the late update guys , I've just been really busy. last month I turned 18 , got a new job and my sister got engaged so a great start to the year. Also the Ambreigns moments have been killing since the last time I updated I literally squealed like a little girl at the royal rumble when Roman and Dean joined together at the end. Anyway back to the story I know it was a longer wait than usual I am trying to keep the updates coming I promise. This one is a little longer than usual let me know what you guys think !
