Hi again, guys!

Let me just start by saying I am so sorry for being so late again!

But, finally, after months of heavy writer's block, here you have chapter 10, so enjoy :)

Chapter 10

"We need everything that can be used as a weapon, that we can get our hands on" you said, as you walked through the dungeon, overseeing the preparations for the ensuing battle.

"Do we have a plan, General (L/N)?" Kristoff asked, and you looked at him.

"We will divide into two groups. One group will focus mostly on distraction and holding off the enemy forces, the other group will focus on taking out Ralph and his son, Cap. Turner"

"Yes General" Kristoff answered.

You turned and looked at Lt. Roger

"Any news about Anziur?" You asked and he coughed.

"Yes General. They are on their way and should be here by dawn, tomorrow morning" He replied, and you nodded.

"Ok, good. Then we have to stand our ground until tomorrow morning" you sighed and looked at Elsa.

"My Queen, how long do you think that Ice wall will hold against King Ralph and his men?" You asked.

"It is sturdy, and I think it will hold through the night" She said, and you nodded.

"Good… now… let's get a little bit of rest so we are well rested till dawn. If they continue to try and break the ice wall they'll be tired and we'll gain the upper hand" You said and the people went to lie down on the beds in the cells they found, to get some rest. Soon, most of them dosed off to the sound of metal tools banging on ice.

You and Elsa went to the cell you had been sleeping in, and the two of you sat down on the bed.

"General (L/N)…." Elsa said and you looked at her.

"My Queen… I…" You managed to say before she placed a hand on your cheek.

"Please… Call me Elsa… at least when we're alone…" She whispered with a slight smile, and you smiled slightly back.

"Elsa…" you whispered back.

"Are you scared?" She asked, and you looked her deep into her eyes.

You looked at her for a few seconds before you answered.

"Elsa… I will do anything for you… ANYTHING… I will die for you…" You whispered as you took her hands in yours before you continued.

"You know I will fight, but… For the first time ever… I might be scared to lose…" You admitted, and it was true. You had never been afraid of defeat. Not until now. But then again, up until now, you hadn't really had anything worth fighting for, other than the anger and built up rage and guilt that had driven you all these years since your parent's death, eating its way into your heart. Now, you had something. You had finally found a purpose in your life.

"General (L/N)…." She whispered and stroked your cheek.

"Please… Call me (F/N)…At least when we're alone… " You said calmly, with a slight smile as you repeated her request from seconds earlier.

She smiled slightly "(F/N)…. I really like that name"

"Really?" You asked, a little surprised.

"Yes. It's a fitting name for you" She said smiling, and you couldn't help but chuckle a little bit at that.

"Wow. That's a first" You admitted.

And what you said was true. No one, except from your parents, had ever given you that sort of compliment before. Actually, after the death of your parents, no one had shown you care in the way Elsa, Anna and even Kristoff, Olaf and Sven had. And you had imprisoned them and been a total bastard to them at first. Now you felt more ashamed than ever.

But you were also completely astonished at how their behavior towards you had changed. They seemed to really trust you now. But then again, given their situation, they didn't really have much choice in the matter. On a second thought, neither had you. You had to trust them as much as they trusted you now, as well. And you had meant every single word you had said to Elsa. You would do anything to protect her, her loved ones and her kingdom. Nothing else mattered to you anymore.

She looked at you with a little smile in her face

"(F/N)..." She whispered.

"Yes?" you replied.

"Kiss me..." She whispered, to your surprise.

But, you didn't have to be asked twice, so you gently placed your amrs around her, and let your lips meet hers in a tender, passionate kiss. She placed her arms around your neck and, while holding the kiss, slowly pulled you down on the bed. Suddenly, buttons were being unbottoned and shirts and blouses being removed. You didn't think twice about it, just let yourself follow your instincts as both of you let your hands roam over the other ones body, and soon you were both in an absolute bliss, and small almost inaudible moans could be heard, but only by the two of you. But during it all you managed to stay fairly quiet, so no one knew what was going on.

THE STEPPES, AT THE SAME TIME

The loud cry of a courier falcon sounded through the night as it flew in circles over the camp, set up at the steppes dividing Anziur and Arendelle.

A man, about 6 feet tall and well built, with black hair and dark brown eyes came out from his tent. His name was Ken, and he was the the Anziurian General and the highest in command of the troops that had been sent to assist the troops in Arendelle, against the invading nation of Mireania.

He held out his arm and the falcon landed on it, gripping his arm gently with his claws as he handed over the letter he had in his beak. He read it carefully before he looked over at his second in command.

"We have to get moving soon" He said "General (L/N) I injured and not well. He is weak"

"Yes Sir, I understand" his second in command, Cap. Haruo, said.

"Good. We'll leave in an hour. Arendelle is not far away now, so we'll reach it in within a couple of hours" General Ken thought a bit.

"I just hope we can reach them in time, and that King Ralph has not decided to attack sooner than expected" he mumbled to himself before he went back to his tent.

The orders were given and an hour later the anziurian soldiers were ready for departure.

"Listen up, soldiers!" Ken said in a loud, stern voice.

"We are two hours away from the border of Arendelle! The Arendellian people need our help, and we will assist them. Now, let's go!"

With those words the Anziurian troops set course towards Arendelle.

"When we arrive, we have to drive the Kings forces away from the city gate so we can get into the city. I have to speak to General (L/N)" Ken said and Haruo nodded.

BACK IN ARENDELLE

You and Elsa had been woken up by Lt. Roger, telling you that everyone and everything was ready. Now you stood amongst them and, to the sound of banging on ice, addressed them one last time before the battle began.

"People of Arendelle. This is the moment we've all been waiting for, for the past few days. And now it's about to happen. This is what we've been preparing for. Now, I know that you are all willing to give it your all in this battle that will decide the fate of Arendelle, but I am also afraid that I have to prepare you properly for something that might be inevitable. I am sorry to tell you that some of you might not come back from this battle alive. Of course, I hope that we all make it, but this is a war, and trust me. War is not a pleasant business. But, with that said, you've shown great courage just to stand here where we are standing right now, and I have to say, it's been an honour to serve alongside you. Now, let's show them who runs this kingdom!"

With that, the people erupted into loud screams and you knew they were ready.

"My Queen, your people are ready. Let's face our enemy"

Elsa nodded and led the people over to the ice wall. There she made one small gesture with her hand, and a few seconds later, you could see the ice melting.

You drew your sword and made yourself ready.

Within a minute, you could see the faces of Mireanian soldiers and they immediately stopped what they were doing as they realized the ice was melting. They too drew their weapons and made themselves ready.

"Seek cover, My Queen. Now" You said calmly and she nodded.

"Yes, General (L/N). Good luck, and….Stay safe" She said and looked at Anna who followed her, together with Olaf and Sven deeper into the dungeon to take shelter.

"Lt. Roger… Now" You said as the path was clear.

"FORWARD!" Lt. Roger yelled and you, together with Roger, Cap Isaacs, Lt. Rex, Kristoff and the crowd mixed of Arendelle citizens and professional soldiers leaped forward and clashed together with the Mireanian soldiers.

AT THE STEPPES

The Anziurian army moved forward at a steady pace with General Ken and Cap. Haruo leading the way, unaware that the war had already broken out in Arendelle. But soon they could see a small group of people getting closer.

"Halt! Who's there?" Cap. Haruo said and the group stopped.

"Please, help us!" A voice called and a woman from the group came forward.

General Ken and Cap. Haruo dismounted their horses and walked up to the group. They looked exhausted and hungry, weren't properly dressed and had nothing expect the clothes on their back.

"Are you from Arendelle?" General Ken asked the woman and she nodded.

"We hid in one of the basements close to the city gate and managed to escape when king Ralph attacked the dungeon…" She said, her voice meek.

"What? King Ralph has already attacked?" General Ken said and people in the group just gave him a small nod. He sighed and looked at one of his men.

"You, Lt Taki, you and your troop, set up a camp here. It will be used as a refugee camp. Take care of these citizens. Give them food and water. They must be exhausted. Cap. Haruo and myself will continue to Arendelle. Understood?"

"Sir, yes Sir!" Lt. Taki said and they immediately got to work.

General Ken and Cap. Haruo mounted their horses again and General Ken signaled to the rest of the army and, with him and Cap. Haruo in front, they continued marching towards Arendelle. But this time they moved faster. As fast as their soldier's feet allowed them to.

BACK IN ARENDELLE

You had managed to drive the battle out of the dungeon and out in the courtyard. You fought off 2 Mireanian soldiers and looked around for a few seconds. You could see that the Arendelle soldiers as well as the few citizens fought hard, but you knew that the Mireanian soldiers were highly skilled and absolutely ruthless. You knew that all too well.

"YOU!" You spun around when you heard something. And there stood a familiar face. It was one of the soldiers you had trained back in Mireania.

"Alexandre" You said, but he came towards you, his sword drawn.

"You betrayed us!" He screamed, picking up his pace "No one betrays Mireania! Now you'll pay for what you did! With your life!"

You quickly blocked his attack and you started circling one another. This young man had been trained by you since he was just 11 years old. And he had been very talented. One of your best. But now you saw that his lust for blood surpassed even yourself.

"Alexandre, listen…" You tried to say, but your words were quickly cut off.

"No, you listen! No one betrays Mireania! No one leaves Mireania! Traitors pay for their treachery with their lives!" he screamed before he charged at you.

He was fast. Really fast. But you were faster. Even when wounded. You blocked his attack again, grabbed him, and before he had the opportunity to do anything, you managed to rip off his armor plate and drew your sword right through his heart, killing him in a second. He sunk to the ground without a sound.

"Sorry, Alexandre, but my heart lies here in Arendelle" You said in a quiet tone.

Then, in the corner of your eye, you saw another very familiar figure just a few meters away from you.

You looked at King Ralph as he quickly grabbed an Arendelle citizen. The poor man looked at you, his eyes begging for help, and your eyes locked with his bright ones for a second just as King Ralph snapped his neck before you could stop him. It all happened so fast, and you could only watch the light of hope fade from the man's eyes as he died. The sight of it made your blood boil and you could feel the rage building up inside of you.

"RALPH!" You bellowed as you walked towards him while swinging your blood dripping sword. You wanted him to pay for what he had done. And you would make sure he paid.

King Ralph looked at you as he quickly retreated to one of the stairs that led up to one of the defense towers. You started following him, but was suddenly cut off by a small blade that came flying through the air and landed right at your feet. You looked in the direction the blade came from and you immediately recognized the man.

"Not so fast General (L/N)" Cap. Turner said, with the same unrecognizable facial expression as he had when you saw him in the dungeon.

"You want to get to my father? Well, then you'll have to go through me"

He then charged at you, and you prepared yourself for what was coming. He swung his sword but you blocked his attack and pushed him back easily. He charged at you again with the same intensity as before.

"Stop!" A voice screamed, soon followed by a cool blast of ice that went straight past you and hit Cap. Turners legs, instantly freezing him solid to the ground.

You turned around and there came Elsa, Anna and Kristoff running. Kristoff quickly ran up to Cap. Turner and, with a swift move, knocked the guy's light right out.

"Go" Elsa said to you "Go, you have to stop Ralph"

You nodded "Stay safe" you said and ran towards the stairs where Ralph had been seen last. When you reached it, you could see him halfway up the stair.

"RALPH!" You roared as you followed him.

"Try to stop me, (L/N)!" He shouted back.

As you reached the top you barely avoided his foot from kicking you right in the chest. After the failed attempt at kicking you down the stairs, he backed up a little.

"Why (L/N)?!" he asked, his tone not even trying to mask his anger "Why did you betray me?!" he demanded to know as you stepped onto the platform of the defense tower.

"You were my best soldier, (L/N)!" Ralph said "You could've come far!"

"Maybe, but you know what?" You said calmly. Ralph didn't reply.

"I've come way further here" you said.

"Liar! You're my soldier! You're mine!" Ralph shouted

"Ralph, I do not belong to anyone!" you replied, your tone starting to get angry. You were tired. Tired of being treated as property. Tired of being treated as an object. Tired of being treated like you only had one, and only one purpose in life, now that you had learned that life had so much more to offer.

Ralph charged at you and you exchanged blow after blow, the sound of your sword, ringing through the air. Metal against metal. A sound you were familiar with.

Suddenly you could hear a scream and you looked down towards the courtyard to see what was going on. The only thing you saw was Anna running away from a Mireanian soldier and falling to the ground but Kristoff was quick to grab the Mireanian soldier and throw him away from her.

That distraction proved to be dangerous as you spotted something in the corner of your eye and you barely avoided Ralphs blade from cutting your throat. Instead, the blade tore through your left forearm as you raised it to protect yourself.

Ralph had seen the distraction as an opportunity and now he had managed to wound you, even thou it wasn't that serious, compared to other injuries you had before.

"Give it up, (L/N)" Ralph said and you look up at him.

"Ralph… if you even know me as a person, you should know by now that I am a person who NEVER gives up, no matter what" You said in a defiant tone.

"Just remember… It was you who made me like this"

With those words you got to your feet when suddenly the sound of a war trumpet could be heard. Both you and Ralph stopped in your tracks and you looked over to where the sound came from.

There, right across the open place outside the city gates, stood the Anziurian army, with their recognizable brown and dark red armor and combat helmets, their banners wavering in the wind.

"They really came" you said to yourself as a small smirk made its way across your face.

They sounded the trumpets again and General Ken drew his sword.

"Forward!" he commanded and the Anziurian army stormed forward, towards the Mireanian camp set up at the open place in front of the gate, and proceeded to wreak havoc on the camp, efficiently driving the Mireanian soldiers in the camp back.

Ralph was furious by the sight.

"Give It up Ralph" You demanded.

"How dare they?!" He roared as he spun around and attacked you once again.

You stepped back a bit, defending yourself, but soon your heel felt the edge of the stairs. You had to do something or he would gain the upper hand.

You pushed him back, but he was a pretty big guy and you were wounded. He grabbed ahold of your hand that held your sword, striking your hand with such force you could actually hear the bones cracking, forcing you to drop your sword. He swung his sword again but you managed to avoid it, resulting in his sword getting stuck in the railing of the stairs.

You then saw a point of the tower that appeared to have been weakened, as you could see small cracks in the wall, and you knew what you had to do. It was the only thing you could do as you knew Ralph would never give in. You resembled him in that way.

Just as he was about to reach down to his booth to pick up his knife, you leaped forward grabbed him and actually managed to push him backwards. You held him, and as his back hit the weakened spot in the wall, the bricks gave in, and the two of you, to everyone's great shock, tumbled towards the ground beneath the tower.

"IT'S OVER RALPH!" you roared but he still struggled in your grip. ¨

In the fall you grabbed his knife from his booth.

"I'M SETTING MYSELF FREE NOW!" you declared, and without a second thought, you drove the knife straight through his unprotected neck, severing his artery.

But then, just as soon as you had thrown yourself and Ralph from the tower, you hit the ground. You could feel your body pressing into Ralph's, as you landed on top of him, but it didn't soften the landing much. You could both hear and feel some of your bones crushing, followed by excruciating pain. The pain was so severe you couldn't ever utter a sound. The ringing in your head also wouldn't stop after it hit parts of Ralphs enhanced steel armor plates.

All around you people had stopped to witness everything, and they were now looking at the two of you, their eyes wide with shock and disbelief. You had just made the ultimate sacrifice, and even the Mireanian soldiers had a hard time believing what they had just seen.

"Oh no…" Kristoff mumbled, and he looked at Anna who had the same shocked and worried expression on her face.

Ralph didn't move at all, but neither were you.

"(F/N)!" Elsa's panicked scream tore through the courtyard, and the last thing you saw was her coming running towards you, tears streaming down her cheeks, her face ravaged by the most painful look you had ever seen anyone have, as she was heartbroken and overcome with fear, worry and agony by what she had just witnessed and by the thought of losing you completely.

'I am... sorry... Elsa...' You thought.

'But I hope that now... I have redeemed myself...'

Then, everything went black.

That's it!
