Hope you all enjoy this chapter. Sorry it took awhile to update.
Chapter 10 Percy POV
Why would Aldora think I was flirting with Ashtyn? Sure she's nice, but really she's not my type. I mean I really don't like Hermes kids, they are kinda anoying when all they do is pull practical jokes. I went to sleep feeling guilty I had 'flirted' with Ashtyn even though I didn't realize it at the time.
I had a good sleep but I got woken up to early. Aldora woke me up by shocking me, "What the heck was that for?"
"What do you mean?" Aldora asked
"What do you mean? You sh-Kicked me," I replied remembering where and 'who' we are and that there are more people than just us here. Gods, if I had said shocked me, Aldora would have taken me out to the forest and fried me, and I mean that quite literally.
"Its time to get up if you want breakfast," Aldora replied.
I quickly got up and got dressed, not risking getting Aldora even more annoyed, gosh when did I suddenly care so much about her anyway? So the entire cabin lined up and of course Aldora and I were in the back, being the newest. Once we got to the dining hall we went and sat at the Hermes table. Our food magically appeared and we went and gave some of our food to our parents. The pancakes and fresh strawberries were really good. At the end of the meal Chiron stood up and started making announcements, "Tomorrow we will play Capture the Flag..." the entire camp burst into cheering. What kind of demi god camp plays capture the flag that's a school game isn't it. Chiron waited till everyone calmed down to continue, " Also be careful if you venture out into the woods, I know you have all been told this but there has been a few attacks in the past couple of days. Would Percy and Aldora meet me at the big house when they are done please. That is all,"
"Why would Chiron need you two?" Ashtyn asked, "You are the newest campers anyway."
"Don't know. Perce we should go find out," Aldora said.
"But I'm not done," I replied which resulted in Aldora ripping me away from my perfectly good breakfast.
"What happened to when we're done?" I asked when we were a good distance away from the dining pavilion.
"When I think Chiron has figured out our secret," Aldora replied
"Oh, that can't be good," I replied as we ran up the stairs and barged in without even knocking.
We walked in to find Chiron in his wheel chair sitting by a table with two chairs.
"Please come and sit," Chiron said.
Aldora quickly took the chair she can kick me from. I'm guessing in case I say something I shouldn't, why would she need to kick me? Couldn't she just shock me anyway? Oh well, might be less painful.
"I have called you hear to ask some questions," Chiron started and Aldora just nodded, "So first thing, Last night there was a hellhound in camp and it jumped straight towards you two. Any ideas how it got here?"
"No sir," We both said at the same time.
"Ok, when it bounded at you two, you both fought it like you have been fighting for years," Chiron stated.
"No clue," I replied.
"I don't even know how to fight," Aldora replied. I decided to stay with quick to the point answers, less chance of being fried that way.
"I figured you would say that. Then why when you defeated it did you run away, into the forest and when you came back everyone was back to how they were before?" Chiron asked.
"I'm not sure what you are talking about. Nothing out of the ordinary happened last night," Aldora replied, I just agreed to what she said.
"Stop lying young ones, tell him the truth," Mr. D told us.
But we got told not to tell anyone.
Well he will only keep pestering you even if he figures it out. I'll take blame if your parents get mad.
"So Chiron we need to tell you something. You might be very shocked. We know who are parents are... Mine are, Poseidon and Artemis," I said stopping to let Chiron process what he heard.
"But that can't be possible, Artemis swore off men," Chiron said with a shocked expression on his face.
"Well I'm here aren't I?" I said while making myself glow like the moon, probably not as cool as what Aldora will do.
"And my parents are, Zeus and Hestia," Aldora said.
Chiron didn't say anything so I'm assuming he was too shocked to respond. Some fire danced over Aldora's palm. It was really cool, especially her facial expression when she looked at Chiron.
"So you two put the mist over all the campers so they wouldn't know who you are?" Chiron asked.
"Yes it was us," Aldora responded.
"Wow you two must be a force to be reckoned with," Chiron said kind of shocked we had put mist over a couple hundred demi-gods.
"Alright I think that is all I need you two can go down to sword practice, remember don't kill anyone, you are in with the beginners," Chiron said.
"Please you can't tell anyone," Aldora said as she walked toward the door.
"Don't worry your secrets safe," Chiron said.
Aldora and I walked to the arena in silence. When we were almost there I took out Ripetide to uncape it.
"Wait you are not seriously going to use that with a bunch of beginners?" Aldora asked.
"Well why not. Not like I will hurt anybody," I replied.
"Yes but you learned your first attacks with that. Even if you are trying not to be any good, you still will seem better then everyone else. You are better off using one of their swords so you don't seem as much of a seasoned fighter then you really are," Aldora said.
"I guess, I really hate using any other weapons," I said as I put the cap back on.
We walked in and guess who met us, Connor.
"Hey I suppose you too are here for the beginners lesson?" Connor asked while checking out Aldora.
"Ya but we need swords," I replied.
"No problemo follow me," Connor replied.
We walked past a bunch of beginners sword fighting. I saw a bunch of boys eye up Aldora, gods it annoyed me so much I mean sure gods/goddesses tend to be better looking it still hit me hard.
We walked to an old looking shed, I could see Aldora's disgusted face as we got closer and all the cob webs grew bigger.
How do you get any Athena campers in there?
Maybe the weapons draw them to it.
Connor opened the door and stood to the side. Connor let Aldora go in but before I could get in he stepped infront of me and whispered, "She's mine."
I could not believe what I just heard, Aldora is mine and nobody can take her away from me. Wait what?
I turned around to face the ocean so I could cool down, I also morphed my finger into a dragon talon (I can morph into any thing I want but I don't tend to) It helped calm me down so I wouldn't do anything I will regret later on.
"OK so what weapon would you like to start off with?" Connor asked while looking at Aldora
"Uh can I try a sword?" I asked breaking Connor from his staring fest.
"Ok, umm try this one," Connor said handing me a sword that would be short for a grade oner.
"How about you Aldora?" Connor asked kind of dreamily.
"Well I think I'll have a sword to," Aldora said while staring at me for help.
Well what am I supposed to do?
You could sishkobob him.
Ya then I would probably be sent to Tartus.
Ya then you could do something else to him.
Ya soak him, you could set him on fire or shock him. Wait I know you could reach out touch him and 'accidently' shock him. But not too hard.
The next thing that happened was when Aldora reached out to grab her perfect length sword and just brushed Connors hand but sent a shock into him.
"oww," Connor said.
"What happened?" I asked laughing inside.
"Umm I think Aldora shocked me," he replied.
"Oh uh sorry 'bout that," Aldora said but I could tell she was holding back a laugh.
Anyway when Connor wasn't looking I quickly replaced my too small sword for a sword that is about as long as Ripetide but it was not balanced right at all. Oh well I may look like a fool but what ever, anything to please Aldora. Wait, what, noooo! Scratch that.
Once we had our swords we walked out towards the arena, there were a bunch more people here fighting than before, (we still could have beat them blindfolded). Gods I wished I could go over there and show them some real fighting. I saw Aldora look over there with a look of longing as well.
"Those are the experts, you won't want to fight them anytime soon," Connor said as we got closer to some straw dummies.
"So first thing you will need to learn is how to hold your sword, you don't want to be strangling it but..." Connor instructed us but I kind of ignored him, I already know how to hold a sword anyway, and if he corrects me I might end up saying something I shouldn't. Gods this class is going to be so easy why does Connor have to teach us anyway. We could be teaching him how to fight. Hmmm that might be fun.
Connor also taught us the fighting stance, basic attacks and basic defenses. I hate this sword though, it feels so awkward in my hand, I could see Aldora rubbing her wrist, I bet she wants a decent weapon too.
The rest of the day went by real slow. We mostly worked on swordmanship. Aldora talked Connor into getting someone to teach us how to fight with a knife. Gods I was going to die if I didn't have a balanced knife. Plus the teacher, Annabeth was kinda hot. Sure she's a daughter of Athena and she has huge problems with my dad she has nothing against my mom. I guess I look more like dad then mom with my brown hair and sea green eyes.
"Wow you two seem to know a bit about fighting," Annabeth noticed after we had started practicing basic attacks.
"Ya we took fencing when we were little," Aldora said.
"That was a long time ago," I said jokingly knowing that in a thousand years we might be saying that.
The bell signaling us to meet at the dining pavilion for super rang after we started attacking each other.
"That's it for today, you two did really well for your first time and keep up the effort," Annabeth said as we started jogging back to the mess hall. I couldn't help noticing how Annabeth kept checking me out. It was kind of awkward. Sure it's happened at school but she's a daughter of Athena her mom would, lets just put this, hate my guts.
Supper was amazing, ribs, pork chops basically any kind of barbecued meat was available.
"I hope you all had a good fun filled day, campfire will be starting early so after super can you all make your way to the amphitheater," Chiron informed us all.
Aldora yanked me away from my not yet finished super.
"Why do you always yank me away from my food?" I asked.
"Because I need to be in the front right by the fire. I haven't been able to play with it for longer than I want and it seems to be drawing me closer, wanting me to come to it since I gave Chiron that demonstration this morning," Aldora replied.
"Well you still can't go poff, the fires on without people noticing somethings odd," I replied.
"I know I'll make sure nobody knows it's me," Aldora stated.
We walked into the amphitheater to find only Chiron here putting wood into the magical fire pit. I saw Aldora stare longingly at Chiron.
"Do you want to light it?" Chiron asked.
"Could I?" She asked. Chiron nodded as Aldora walked towards the fire pit, looking around to make sure no demigods were watching.
She looked at the fire pit, let some flames dance across her fingertips, then there was a huge 10 foot tall fire that gradually calmed down to one foot tall. "Wow I haven't done that for awhile," Aldora said.
"What do you mean?" Chiron asked.
"When we lived with Sally we would have campfires once a week but before we left Sally got busy and we couldn't have any fires," Aldora explained.
Before anyone came and sat in the very front Aldora walked over and sat right in front of the fire, in the middle of the row before anyone else could try and get it.
"Wow you really want to be in front of the fire," I said teasingly.
"Yes I do," Aldora replied while staring into the flames.
I went and sat beside Aldora, gods know why I wanted to (probably Aphrodite playing with me again).
"So if I were to soak the fire I would assume you would most likely fry my hide" I asked.
"You know me to well," Aldora said as a playful grin stretched across her face.
Next thing I knew there was images of our childhood, most having Sally somewhere in them, there was the first time our parents taught us how to teleport when we were 8 then the last time Aldora saw Thalia before she got turned into a tree, just to name a few.
"I see most of those images have a women in them whom I assume is Sally," Chiron said.
"Yes. I don't know what we would've done if Sally hadn't taken us in. There aren't very, many clear sighted mortals around New York," Aldora replied.
Within five minutes the first few demi-gods walked into the amphitheater and sat on the other side of the bench.
"So it looks like some people are being a bit slower then they should be, I'll go get them to hurry up a little," Chiron said as he galloped towards the dining-hall.
I don't know who the other ten demi-gods are but I bet the girl at the end of our row is a daughter of Athena and the girl sitting beside her, daughter of Dementer. Annabeth walked in came to and sat beside us, "You know nobody bits you could sit beside anyone," Annabeth said.
"I know but we got here first so ya," Aldora replied.
"Ok, I just don't want you guys becoming loners," Annabeth replied.
The rest of the campers came fairly soon after that conversation and that's when Aldora's fire started getting taller and changing colours, every so often I could see some images that I hope Annabeth couldn't see. But I guess she was to busy trying to get clues on who my parent is, boy she's gonna have a surprise when she finds out I'm a god. It was getting kind of weird so sometimes I would throw in an answer that sent the gears in her head spinning a bit more. I think Aldora was getting a kick out of this. After s'mores got passed around Aldora started really staring into the flames. I wonder if she can see the future or something in the flames. That's when I thought I saw some fire dancing from her fingertips. I gave her a good kick and nothing changed.
Hay Aldora there's fire coming from your fingers.
What oh sorry I should be more careful l shouldn't i.
Yes you should. I know it pulls and it's hard to withstand but you have to fight it.
Look whose giving me advice, never thought that was possible.
A smile spread across both of our faces and Aldora stayed until We had to go to our cabins for lights out.
There's chapter 10. Still wondering who should date Percy (open to any suggestions) and who should date Aldora. I thank all of the people who have reviewed and everyone who has favorites/alerted my story.
