CHAPTER TEN
Keiichi jumped when his phone went off. When realization hit a grin came to his face and he walked away so Tsuyoshi could not hear. Tsuyoshi tried hard to eavesdrop but it was no good. He resigned to convincing himself to believe Kyoya's promise. Would daddy really save him? He had no evidence to prove it. However his mind recalled the incident at the amusement park. He hugged his knees and hoped his daddy would keep his promise. Keiichi answered the phone with a giggle and put his plan into motion. When he returned to Tsuyoshi he was grinning big. Tsuyoshi didn't like that look. Keiichi shoved the gun into his pants and sat on the edge of the cot.
"Well you're a liar. Daddy is willing to buy you. How lucky I am."
"Th-then can we go see daddy?"
"Oh no no no. Who said I was handing you over so early?"
"But-"
"The police were tracking my call. So I sent them to another location. If daddy wants little Tsuyoshi back he'll have to play my game."
"G-game?"
"No police. Just me and your daddy. It will be one interesting game." Keiichi's phone went off again causing him to blink. "Boss why the sudden call?"
"Besides the money what do you want?"
"I told you what I wanted Kyoya."
"You know we traced your call. We know you set a trap; the police will not find you where they tracked this phone."
"You deduced that already? You really are smart. I suppose no one is around you?"
"You are correct."
"Good," Keiichi purred, "I want to play a game with you. You have twenty-four hours to find me. If you win, our deal will go through, but if you lose you'll never see your son again."
"Where is the first clue? You owe me that."
"Very true boss. A hint is called for. Your first clue is where we first met." He hung up before Kyoya could say anything else. "You are one lucky boy. I wonder how far your father will go to get you back. Maybe he'll become a criminal."
"Criminal?"
"Like me."
"Daddy won't!"
"The love of a child can make people do unbelievable things."
Kyoya violently slammed his phone shut. He took a second to remember where Keiichi meant for him to go. Detective Onodera made search he was in touch with his partner who went to the destination of Keiichi's "location." Kyoya's ears soon picked up what he had known from the start; there was only a phone. It had been in the trash can since yesterday and was somehow wired to Keiichi's real phone. They had a dead end. Kyoya made sure no one was watching when he ordered Tachibana to drive him to Rosemarie hotel. Tachibana also drove away when no one was paying attention. When They arrived at the Hotel Kyoya was greeted by the staff; originally planning to ignore them was erased when he had a thought. Kyoya was now looking over the video footage hoping to see if Keiichi could be spotted. Keiichi made sure he was on camera; a huge grin on his face and waving like an idiot. Later in the tape he was with a staff member walking somewhere. Kyoya quickly tracked down the other man. Kyoya was soon being escorted to the breaker room with the staff man apologizing the entire way. Keiichi was good at forging police badges. Once inside the breaker room both began searching for any clue that could be found.
"I should have come in with him."
"That will get us nowhere Souhei. Just continue searching."
"I'm so sorry Mr. Ootori," Souhei said again. Kyoya ignored him. Souhei gave up searching where he started and decided to look in the breaker itself. When he opened the hatch a beeping noise went off and the room's door slammed shut; they were now locked inside. Kyoya rushed over to Souhei and saw the countdown. "Is this a bomb?!"
"Hello Kyoya. You really are something else," Keiichi's face showed up on a small phone screen attached to the timer. "As you can see you only have ten minutes to escape this room before your life is over."
"I-If you escape then y-your next h-hint is," Tsuyoshi said when he came on screen.
"Say it!" Keiichi screams shoving a gun onto the side of Tsuyoshi's head.
"The h-hint is Twisted maiden," Tsuyoshi cries.
"Good luck daddy dearest." The screen went blank and Kyoya punched the breaker. Souhei and Kyoya dared glance at the clock; they only had eight minutes left.
mutemuia I know you said you don't care if it's longer but... This is sooo short! Kind of feel bad that it's not longer
