Chapter Ten

A/N: Welcome back to my story! Hope you enjoy it :3

"I think he's gonna be pretty upset when he wakes up." I mumbled as I stood up, staring down at the grounder. I felt in my gut that he couldn't be like the rest- he had saved us... Hadn't he?

"He's not gonna wake up." Bellamy said, causing me to look over at him with bewilderment.

"What?" I asked him, just as Octavia did the same.

"Bellamy stop." Octavia said as he picked up the Grounder's weapon.

"Bellamy, I think he's not like the others. He didn't hurt us!"

"What if he isn't?" He asked me. "What if he tries to take you both again?"

"Tasha's right, he didn't hurt us, Let's just go." Octavia begged.

"They started this." Bellamy said as he glanced down at Finn, who was hovering over the grounder. "Finn. Move."

"Foghorn." Finn started. "Apparently he saved us too, with the horn that got all the other grounders to take off."

"See, Bellamy? He isn't bad!" I cried out.

Out of nowhere, in one swift movement, the Grounder moved, stabbing Finn in the gut. "No!" I screamed as Finn fell to the floor.

Even with all my training, I knew that alone wouldn't save his life. I prayed silently, hoping that Raven had figured out a way to contact the Ark. If I could talk to Abby, she could walk me through the steps.

Bellamy and the Grounder began to fight as Octavia and I moved to Finn's side, trying to comfort him. I let out a shaky breath as I saw the grounder was holding a spear to Bellamy's neck. "Please stop!" I screamed out to the grounder.

"Stop! That's my brother!" Octavia yelled.

Out of nowhere, Jasper hit the grounder in the back of the head with something, making him fall to the ground, the spear falling with him.

"Are you ok?" I asked Bellamy as I made my way over to him. He nodded, rubbing the back of his head.

We ran as fast as we could back to camp, Jasper running ahead of us. "Where's Clarke?!" Jasper yelled as I caught up to him.

"Hey, I'm here. What's up?" She asked as Jasper helped Octavia through the gate.

"We need to get in contact with the Ark, Clarke." I said urgently

She looked at me strangely. "What happened?" She asked.

"I'm gonna need your help. And your moms help." I told her as Bellamy and Nova brought a terribly injured Finn through the gates.

"Finn… Finn?" Clarke said pushing past us and rushing over to Finn. I looked over at Raven, who looked so sad. She must've found out about him and Clarke.

"He's alive…" Clarke said after checking his pulse.

"We need to get him into a stable environment." I told her, hoping the doctor in her would snap into gear.

"Bellamy and Tasha wouldn't let me take the knife out." Jasper told her.

"No that was a good call." Clarke said smiling at me. "Get him in the drop ship now. Go!"

"Clarke, Tasha… can you save him?" Raven began to cry. I pulled her into a hug. "Yeah, of course. But we need your help, Raven."

"Tasha, I don't think I can do this.." Clarke began to cry. I looked over at her, shaking my head. "No, Clarke. You can do this. You have to do this." I smiled reassuringly at her, pulling away from Raven.

"There's still no radio, I can't get it working." From her tone of voice, I could tell she was beginning to Panic.

"You both need to calm down. Raven, you're the best mechanic that the Ark ever saw, go fix the radio. Try to focus all your energy on that."

"Clarke, you just gotta take deep breaths and try to think clearly." I said quietly, rubbing her shoulder. "Meet me in the drop ship when you're calm." They both nodded and left.

As I went into the drop ship, I took deep breaths as I looked over at Finn's body. Raven was over by the Radio, trying to get a signal. As I looked down, I noticed my hands visibly shaking. "Damn."

"What is it?" Clarke asked as she walked into the drop ship. I turned around, showing her my visibly shaking hands.

Clarke stared at my hands, grabbing onto them. "Dammit." She let them go, the shaking refusing to stop.

"I guess I'm still shaken up from the whole grounder thing." I mumbled, anger flowing through my body. I leaned back against the wall, hitting my head against it.

"What does that mean?" Raven asked as she looked up from the radio.

"It means Tasha can't help us."

"This is a restricted channel. Who is this? Please identify yourself." We suddenly heard a voice fill the entire drop ship. I turned to Clarke who looked stunned as she walked over to Raven.

"This is Raven Reyes. I'm from Mecha Station. I'm transmitting from the ground." She said as I began to move towards her. "The hundred are alive. Please, you need to get Dr. Abby Griffin. Dr. Abby Griffin. Now." She continued as Clarke turned to look at Finn who was laying there motionless on the bed we had made for him.

"Hang on Raven. We're trying to boost your signal. Get her off the Ark-Wide channel." A man said over the speaker.

"Raven. Are you there?" We heard Abby's voice speak to us.

Clarke hesitantly took the mouth piece, sitting down on the chair that Raven had been using moments before. "Mom?"

"Mom, it's me." She said sternly.

"Clarke?" I heard Abby say

"Mom, I need your help." Clarke began to say. "One of our people was stabbed by a grounder."

"Clarke, this is the Chancellor, are you saying there are survivors on the ground?" We heard Jaha's voice.

"Yes. The Earth is survivable." Clarke said taking Raven's attention and mine. "We're not alone."

"Mom, he's dying." Clarke said again. "The knives still in his chest."

"Is Tasha still alive? She should be able to help you." I smiled slightly at the recognition.

"Her hand's aren't steady mom." Clarke explained.

"Clarke, is my son with you?" The entire drop ship fell silent, all eyes landed on Clarke. I instantly felt regret- Wells was dead. I was unsure how Jaha would take that news. As I looked at Clarke, I was unsure if I could see her as a leader... She sure tried to act like one, but I still saw her as a naive little girl at times.

"Wells is dead." She said finally looking up from her hands.

"Clarke needs you." He said to I assumed Abby. "Patch her in to me when they're finished."

"Ok Clarke?" We heard over the radio, her voice was cutting in and out due to the storm. "I'm gonna talk you through it step by step. If you can't hear me or don't understand… Tasha should know what to do, right?"

"Yes, ma'am." I replied, smiling slightly as I looked over at the radio. "Just think positively." I glanced up at Clarke, squeezing her hand tight.

The entire pod shook slightly causing everyone inside to gasp. I looked over at Raven who attempted to steady the radio so nothing would come undone. "Clarke, give five –" Abby began to say as the room filled with radio static. "To medical. Medic-" her voice was cut off by more static as Clarke looked to me.

"What?" Clarke yelled, "Raven, what's wrong?" Clarke yelled to her.

"The storm." I mumbled as Raven nodded. "It's not the radio. It's the storm. Tasha, can't you talk her through this?"

"I... I don't think so." I took a deep breath. "I've never had to deal with a stabbing this close to the heart before- any movement too far and he's gone." I explained.

"Clarke, we need to hurry." Abby's voice said to us loud and clear.

Octavia wondered into the drop ship making her way over to Clarke and I who where now standing together near Finn. "Hey O." I said with a small smile.

"Hey, Tash." She grinned.

Octavia and I had always been close. I was the only one other than my parents to know about her- besides her family of course. When I wasn't spending time with Bellamy, I often spent time with her in their room.

"What does that mean?" Octavia pointed to a picture of two people holding hands, the man on his knees.

"He's proposing to her." I explained, smiling softly as I looked at the caption. "And as he got down on one knee, he saw her for what she truly was- beautiful, not just on the outside, but from within she possessed a beauty he would never have words to explain. He would spend his entire life showing that beauty to her. Forever and always." The book was simple enough, it had beautiful drawings and captions to go along with the photos. At least once a week Octavia would get me to go through pages with her.

"Is that how you and Bell are gonna be?" Octavia asked, looking at me with her eyes glowing.

I laughed, shaking my head as I shut the book. "No, not even close O." I sighed as I set the book on the table.

"You never know."

I looked up at the voice, realizing Bellamy had walked in without us even noticing. "Maybe I'll propose to you right now."

I rolled my eyes, standing up from the couch. "Now that's just crazy talk, Bellamy Blake. Don't get your sisters hopes up like that." I smirked as I turned back to Octavia. "I'll see you tomorrow, O."

"Bye, Tasha!"

As I stepped out of the room with Bellamy, he smiled thoughtfully at me. "Y'know, we're probably gonna have to get married."

I rolled my eyes. "Oh? How'd you figure that?"

"You're the only person I get along with." Bellamy reached forward, twirling a piece of my hair around his finger. "Besides, who else are you gonna want to spend the rest of your life with?"

I shoved his shoulder playfully. "Smart ass."

"Where's you're brother?" I asked quietly.

She shrugged, "I have no idea, last time I saw him, he was with his pals."

I sighed deeply. "I hope they get back soon... Your brother is a real ass sometimes, y'know that?"

"You're the one who's dating him." Octavia shoved my shoulder lightly.

"Who's the one who was pushing me to date him for like 10 years?" I smirked, shoving her shoulder back.
