10. Swear

I gagged as the water burned my throat. The faceless guards poured another bucket of ice water over my mouth while the rest held me down.

"Where do your allegiances lie?" They demanded, only giving me a second to catch my breath before dumping another bucket.

"Olympus!" I cried out. "Only Olympus." I cried, begging them to stop. They poured another bucket.

"Swear to the Styx. Swear you are loyal to us!"

"I swear on the Styx, I am loyal to my family! Please stop!" I begged. Their grip loosened as I felt a needle in my neck. I felt myself slip into my mind.
