Sorry, no new chapter, just some clarification ;)
I got a Review (from a Guest, otherwise I would've PM'd them) saying it wasn't clear to them why Astin would want to kill Nick. I hope the other readers got it, but in case anyone else had trouble understanding:
When Nick was walking into the diner, one of the shooting victims was still alive. When Astin walked in, too, he realized the victim had identified him as the shooter to Nick. To get rid of any witnesses, he shot Nick, suffocated the victim (because he couldn't shoot him with his police gun) and when he realized Nick was still alive, tried to get him killed in the hospital. He didn't pursue this anymore since Nick was having memory loss and needed to get rid of the guy he sent to murder Nick to get rid of that witness, too.
