Chapter 10: Epilogue
*June 6th, 2036*
"Shh, here she comes," Jessie whispered, ducking behind a table. Mark and Adrian were finally coming home with their newborn son, Adam. Just born last week, he is the most adorable little Cyndaquil you would ever lay eyes on. "Everyone in place?"
"Yeah," we all responded.
"Great." The front door opened and we all jumped up.
"Welcome home!"
"Oh, wow!" Adrian exclaimed. "Thanks, guys!" Taylor ran up to her.
"Can I hold him?" She asked.
"Sure, but be careful. We don't want him to get hurt." She handed Adam to my older daughter, making sure he was in a comfortable position.
"So, Mark," Vincent said. "How does it feel to be a father?"
"It feels great, Vince," the Typhlosion responded. "It feels great." While everyone was playing with Adam and having a good time, I glanced out the window and saw a Pikachu looking in, smiling faintly. I stepped outside to find her, but she wasn't anywhere in sight. I scoffed and shook my head.
"CJ?" A voice asked. I turned around and saw her.
"What are you doing out here?" I asked her. "Come inside, stay with us. I'm sure my parents would love it if you came." She looked down at the ground and smiled.
"Thank you," she whispered. "This would be my first home."
"And it will be your only home." I led her inside. "I'm sure Hanna would love to see you again."
"CJ?"
"Hmm?"
"Thanks. For everything."
"Anytime, Taylor." We walked inside. I closed the door behind us.
