Chapter 10-Me Versus Ken

Merry Christmas and Happy New year everyone. Here is new posting story about Zangeif and plus rest of the street fighters characters. There is some grammar mistake here and there. I would like the reader to point out and make it better for other to read.

Best thing for me to branded as a villain was the time off offered by the game system. If you should noticed as you played the game and fight up of the gruesome trails and not every characters were selected into your game progress. Of course except you picked some villain to play with and I am not always into the picture on it.

With the credits that I save of recent years which I gathered up by involvement of several match line per day. The pay was low and if I got selected. The pay would be higher than involvement slot. After years without any days off, my saving were decent sum and I decided it was about time that I called a day off. Well, not one day but almost a week vacation. The reason was I am hiding my surprise to my fond gamer girl. She would thrilled to see my improvement. Thanks to my pal, Robotnik did some adjustment to my pair of boots after the visit to his place and begging for help.

I was in my room in silently and staring the ceiling with my back lying relax on my bed. It was first to me not doing anything for days except I had few spare time myself to tappers when the arcade closing time. Just clear some thing in my head before I would go bonkers as too long trapping alone.

Because I caved myself in my room, my teammates started to show the sign of worry about me on third day of my absent of work. Fur ball Blanka growled and banging my steel door at few times.

"Growl. Growl Arrgg." (Come out and play.) Blanka communicated with me which I didn't had a clue for his word or tried to understanding. Plainly I ignored the fuzz ball

Ken came to my place after few hours later that Blanka left me alone. Ken had a gut to ask me which sounded like a challenge to me than rather caring about me. Ken banged my door with all his brute force

"Come out you big brute, Are you hiding there like old sand bag? Come out and face me like a man, Let me whoop you straight up like new fresh punch bag." I was plainly ignored him.

Then Ryu the master guru came much later with his word of wisdom to open my mind.

"Winning and titles is not important. The fight is all in you need." He sounded like a bit of corny

I knew Ryu had beat the game many times and the ratio been selected was much higher than the rest of us. I buried my head with some pillow and ignored him like the rest.

Until the sweet gal, Chun Li came over to my place and knocked my door. "hey big guy. You Ok? " She asked with her concerning voice. She is the type of caring person and ensure everyone is ok in or off the game time. I could not resist to ignore her or being a rude person in the Chun Li perceptive look on me.

I opened the door ajar a little to see her face and exposed my a little. " I am ok. I just need a break for a while." I said.
"Cooped inside your room for few days? The guys is worry about you." Chun Li asked

"I will be just fine. No worry. bye" I closed the door

"You need any advise or trouble trapped in your mind. You can find me at China Town. Ok big guy?"

Chun Li stood there for awhile and left .

I sat on my bed again and staring my red boot which placed on the shelves facing directly on me. I kept wondered and waited for the gamer girl return to me. Both of us will take the road to the blaze of glory to win the game together.

The wait was over after few more days, she came and selected me.

The announcement echoing loud on my place and I was selected and my name prompted by loud speakers. My mind sprung alive and ready for action as I had already knew who the person selected me. I was hype and snatched my boot and wore it. It felt smooth as my feet slides in. I was thought there would some discomfort to wear as what Robotnik did some tweaking on my boot.

I was skeptic at first when I saw so called my modified boot. I saw nothing change on it. No attachment rocket on the side or metal plating on the sole of it. It is just my red boots.

"Just tap you feet like this." Robotnik showed his secret activation of my boot which he did some weird some ritual rain dance. He was clumsy and jingling to kept balance. Sonic and I could not kept our giggle revealed. "You got it the move." Robotnik was fumed to know that his work was not appreciated. "Sorry professor, I got the move remembered." I was thankful enough.

"Whatever. Let me know later when you use it." Robotnik walked to his lab and the metal door shut tight behind him, leaving me and sonic behind.

When I reached the empty platform first, I waited my opponent and the change of the fight scene. I got the glimpse of her from the outside of the screen glass. There she was, her face filled with eager determination and the same time mixed with her cheerful emotion as always.

Seeing her, I was pushed to eager to do whatever it take to win her smile or happy which I had resolve thing should not be legal to use if I have to.

I was pray that should not be happen any sooner.

The guys back there was kind enough, knew that I was cooped from action for few days and decided to threw some easy match. Blanka, Honda, Dhalsim and unexpected guile which hated me without a reason when we turned on the first time.

Even Ryu was not in the rooster for this time. It was a smooth journey and probably the longest I spent time with her together until my nemesis awaited me to decided to cut off me. Ken.

The scene changed to the pier where the boats parked along side the stone pathway pier. The fishermen and other visitor cheered Ken. It was one sided cheer and kinda ruining my hype to win. I took any glimpse on her behind the control. She looked intense and not her regular look anymore. It was a bad sign for us.

"Let see what you got for me. Hiding in your room like little bear you are." Ken smirked and walked to his fighting position.

"I got news for you. I ain't going to lose this time." I roared and charged toward him. The first round was tough climb for me to win as Ken got the answer for all my blow and counter my move. So I am too did my best to reduce the damage inflict on me. This is where I didn't noticed that she had improved her game. Ken was surprised that I was not an easy turkey to chew on and so I did too. The life bar was not depleted as fast as the previous game that I had in my life.

My life bar level was almost the same as Ken. Ken was relentless assault on me seem fruitless effort until I saw the opening. I could not just punch thru the spot because I was controlled. "Come on. How long you can block it?" Ken fumed. "Not for long." I said in my mind.

Then my punch went thru his defense and hit on Ken's rib. Then connecting the rest of combo step. She managed to figured out. Ken was stunned in pain as the punches flying toward him.

The rest of the team was cheering for me in another room, watching the match between me and Ken. Blanka was roaring in excitement, following up with Dhalsim with a smile on his face.

"He is doing great. Way to go big guy, Chun Li slapped on Ryu back. Ryu. He stood there and watched in silent for awhile before he left the group alone.

"Where are you going?" Chun Li asked
"Training." Ryu kept his word short.

"Come on. Ryu." Chun Li left Ryu alone as she continued cheer for me.

Ken back off and keep the distance from me. I continued barrage him with all my might until the timer ran out. I won the first match by life count.

"Hah. Not bad for me. Ken. You need more training than I do now." I sneered at him which it was wrong mistake for me. Ken stood up with angry look on his face. "Then let get serious. Play time is over." Ken snapped his finger to call in the games system. The games system interface popped out in front of him.

The other gasped in surprise. It was very rarely for someone use the system to modify the stat and much more a special case doing in the in game. The reason was that person was a sore loser or spotted something amiss

"Raise up the level by 2." Ken ordered and the system comply the request without any doubt of it.

"Your credit will be deduct from your account. Are you sure" The system notified Ken
"Go ahead. This is much more enjoyable for a time being." Ken charged at me with unusual pace.

The second match, Ken won me within 10 second. I was lying on the hot wet stone. Oh boy, that was hurt bad on me like a sledgehammer repeated buried on my body. I stood up slowly and took a glimpse on her again.

She was looking worry and confused. She never felt the match was hard compared the first one. I turned to Ken.

"Not so tough, Are you?" Ken sneered me in return for the first match.
"This is ain't a fair fight. Ken" I said

"It is. I use the credit which I had saving a lot. Compare to you. You are nothing but booze at tapper a lot. One time you had already know. Good guys like me always earn a lot credits than the bad guys."

"If you have decent of credit. Nobody choose you except hers. That is only way get your pay and random selected rooster." Ken pointed his finger to my girl.

"That is it!" I had to use the boot. I need the power to beat him off. I mesmerized the move to activate the boot power. Ken laughed at me which I don't care.

Back behind the scene, the guys was clueless and begin asking questions among themselves. "I just don't know." Chun Li replied.

"Brace yourself my girl. We are heading the next level of fighting styles." I whispered and the announcement of round 3. I knew there would never a fair fight. The boot was glowing in blue.

I was charging at Ken with the twice the speed like a raging bull. Then I noticed the problem as I tried to land a punch on Ken. The intend of build up speed was my movement of entire body. I mean I can punch or block faster but seem I had interpreted wrong to them about walk faster only.

Ken landed some punched on me and back off again. He seemed to confused with my sudden fast movement.

"What in heck is going on here." The gamer confused too. She move the joystick back and forward. She saw Zangief move so fast than the usual speed. She pressed the kick button and Zangief kick up in multiple times with a single press on it like a rabbit been shocked by electricity current.

She advance Zangief to attack position and kept hitting the kicking button. It was logical think if the kick is faster than the punches, why not?

She tried drop kick on Ken but turned out Zangief was sliding the ground like a soccer player to end of the screen and stuck for few second before I backed up again to my feet . She was stunned and then covered her mouth to prevent herself laughing. She left the controller untended before returning to control the fight. She never felt so wrong about the game went haywire because nobody had played it before except her. She guessed nobody seemed that coming.

She was not only person to see that. The football machine where the coach saw that what Zangief could do with the sliding tackle. The coaches was fighting among them to recruit him in their team.

Then she went curious to see what would happen if Zangief spinning move with the kind of speed that Zangief possess

"You cheat! Now you stood so low of yourself." Ken blocked my kick.
"You say it yourself. You treated me like a dirt and low blow on me" I back away into the center

"What do you mean? I was joking." Ken blinked his eyes and remembered the stunt that he pulled.

I raised my both arm and began to spin. That was big problem began to emerge from blasted boots. I began to spin and spin like an old plane propelled engine "Oh shit" I said to myself. Same as Ken. He moved to the corner edge of the screen and ducked. Slowly he began suck into the vortex that I created.

The fisherman jumped to the sea and some of them held the lives on the boat rail as the gust of wind kicking. The boat rocked violently and sea waves began to form. It was havoc on the pier stage.

The group stood safely from another room was panic. Blanka roared in panic and other stood clueless as what to do with the situation. "Somebody do something." Vega asked. Then room vibrated as the gust of wind creating some surge of power to fry the game along together.

"Reboot." Chun Li thought it and she ran to the system board mainframe.

"I got this problem solve. M. Bison walked casually as if he had a plan of his own.

This is new concept from me, credit is where the characters from the game will gain some sort of cash term to spend on. they earned credit by appearing in game progress. Here no free drink from the tapper.
