Me: *sighs* Yea, I truly am sorry for my lacks of updates…..There's really no excuse as to why I lack in this department….Maybe it has something to do with writer's block or the dust bunnies that plague my creative writing…..Who knows…..

Hikari: Any who without further ado here is Chapter 8 to The Return of an Angel

Chapter 8: Truth or Lies

Last time

"My Pharaoh, I know that you don't remember much, and I know your dreams are haunted of the past, but there of your memories…ones that were locked away for a purpose".

"PURPOSE!" shouts Yami suddenly. "My sister is locked away, away inside this wrecked thing!" was all Yami could say as he holds up the Millennium Puzzle in anger.

At Yami's sudden outburst everyone who was with Yami could only stair at him in total shock for Yami rarely lost his temper except when his ego was bruised and you were asking for a death wish or something.

"Easy Yami" remarks Malik as he looks to Yami while staying as close to Marik as he could unsure if he should approach the Pharaoh or not.

"Malik's right now is not the time to be losing your temper" admits Bakura to Yami who tries to recompose himself before looking back to Joesaika who looked completely unphased by the Pharaoh's temper.

"Please…allow me to explain" remarks Joesaika once she knew the Pharaoh wouldn't explode like the last time.

"You better" was all that was said as Yami looked at her with piercing ruby hues.

"Please follow me, and I will explain everything that I know to you" was all that Joesaika would say as she motions everyone to a secluded area of the museum one in which she knew no one would distrube them in as she tried her best to explain what happened in the past.

"As your aware, your dreams...no memories are gradually becoming more vivided to you...the reason behind that is because the seal that was placed upon you is weakening" explains Joesaika, still watching Yami in the process before continuing. "5,000 years ago a great evil was brought upon the lands of Egypt... One that was to controll you as well as your thrown and people".

"Your lieing" growls Yami, who wasn't buying anything that Joesaika had to say. "Believe what you wish, but I speak nothing but truth... During the battle to save you, your people, and everything you held dear, Arainaina ended up scarificing everything to give you a chance at happiness at the price of sealing her soul within your Millennium Puzzle" remarks Joesaika as she glances towards the puzzle, eyes filled with regret and pain at knowing she was a part of the reason behind the princesses scarifice.

"But... if this is true...then why don't we remember any of this?" asks Ryou who thought it be wise to ask before Yami could say another word. At hearing Ryou's reply, Joesaika turns to look at him before speaking.

"Ra, decided it would be best if no one ever knew of her exsistance or what had happened.. Ra figured the burden would be to much to bare if the Pharaoh was aware of his sister or of the scarifice she made to save him, Yugi, and everyone else in the process".

"I would have been happier knowing that I had a sister then living a total lie only to be reborn with these horrible dreams or memories or whatever you want to call them... I lived the rest of my life in Egypt thinking I was the only child with no memories of her only the memories of Yugi, Seto, and everyone else whose gathered here right now" replies Yami as he looks down at his Millennium Puzzle, bangs covering his ruby hues.

"But..." at the start of her statement, Yami quickly silences it as ruby hues pierce her bright blue ones. "NO...How do I know what is real or what is fake...what is truth and what is a lie...", "As of right now you have no proof" growls Yami.

At the tone in Yami's voice, Joesaika as well as everyone else stare on in shock as if Yami was growing two heads or something, for as he spoke it seemed as though his aura had completely changed as well.

"You want PROOF" cries Joesaika. " I know what I say to be true because I was there".

At the sudden burst of Joesaika's confession everyone else just stares on in total silence. "What?" whispers Yami who eventually found the words to speak. "I said I was there... I was one of five council members whose job was to serve you... Eventually things got out of hand when you appointed Tayneko head of the council members...that's when things began to go wrong within Egypt".

"Arai saw the way Tayneko was using you and she tried to warn you but you wouldn't listen... It was like you had become a totally different person and at the time I myself wanted nothing more then to see you suffer because Tayneko said if he had total control over you everything would eventually fall into place... but what I wasn't aware of was Tayneko was planning an acient old prophecy one that would destroy both light and darkness unless blinded by events predetermined..." replies Joesaika as she turns her eyes to the ground.

"You used me...just to gain power over Egypt" asks a disbelief Yami who couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Yes...and because of it Ra sent Yugi from the heavens, one of Ra's most precious creatures to try and free you from our grasp...in the process of trying to save you, Yugi befriended Arai and together they came close to saving you..." answers Joesaika.

"What do you mean close?" asks Marik this time who knew everyone was thinking the same thing. "Tayneko began to thrive on his hatred, his anger, his lust for the princess and in the mist of trying to rule Egypt threw you he almost succeeded in breaking the princess...", "He even went threw great lengths as to kidnap her from the palace because Tayneko knew that if he couldn't control the Pharaoh one hundred percent then he would do so using the princess and of the special bond you both hold".

"Special Bond?" asks Heila this time, curious as to what this bond was.

"...It's an old legend but it says that before the land of Egypt a Kingdom would rise...within this Kingdom a son would be born, upon the arrival of the son would he be born without a light side to him only born of darkness...upon the arrival of this child an Angel would be born to counter balance his dark side along with another...", "The second child that was to be born would hold a magical bond between it and the son of Egypt..Thus balancing the son until the arrival of the Angel... The Angel itself would be born to image it's counter partner except no one would know of the Angel except the child who held the magical bond of the first born child..." explains Joesaika who all but whispered it.

"WOW" whispers Heila who was in total awe, unaware that she too was an angel and that her counter partner was Yami Heila, Queen of Egypt.

"ENOUGH" shouts Yami who was losing his patience now. "I didn't come here for a history lesson... I came here to find answers on my sister!".

Lost for words at the current moment due to Yami's out burst, Joesaika was just about to speak once more before Yami beat her to the punch line. "Save it...as far as I know these are all lies... how do I know I can even trust you..."

"I know your angry my Pharaoh, and you have every right to be...but please I speak nothing but truth" answers Joesaika just as Yami began to turn his back on her, having heard enough of her stories with still no answers about his sister Arai.

"I'm done" was all Yami could say just as he was about to walk completely away only to halt when a voice reached out to him. /YAMI...What she says is all truth...I'm sorry I let RA lock your memories away...I thought it would be best/ comes the teary response of Yami's sister, Arai.

/ARAI?/ calls Yami, halting in mid step as his mind tries to make contact with his sister. /Yami... my link with you is weak... I used most of my magic awakening...Yugi's...Memories.../ comes the faint reply of Arai as if she was fading from view.

"ARAI" cries Yami as he tries to keep her talking unaware that Arai had been behind Yami this whole time, leaning against his back for support as she tries to mustar up the last bit of her magic to make one solid appearance before she had to retreat to the puzzle.

"YAMI..." whispers Arai, this time loud enough to catch Yami's attention, causing him to turn around quickly only to come face to face with hazel green eyes and brown hair. "Arai?" gasps Yami as he tries to hold his sister only to phase right threw her with his arms.

"Yami... I... Need to retreat..." gasps Arai who was struggling with her magic to hold onto a physical form, a form she never attempted to do because Yami was never able to hear her, but with the seal to everyone's memories slipping and the prision to Tayneko and the others breaking Arai had to risk trying...if only for a split moment so she could actually see her brother.

"Arai...Please...stay...I promise we can free you from the puzzles hold" replies Yami as he tries to grab his sister. At hearing Yami's words, Arai can't help but put on a tried smile before saying one last word to Yami before vanishing back to the puzzle to rest. "I miss you...I know you'll save me".

And just like that she was gone from site, as if she wasn't even there. "GRRR...ARRR" yells Yami in total anger as he falls to the ground on his knees, pain and saddness flooding his body at not being able to help his sister.

As Yami struggles to compose himself, everyone else in the room can only watch in silence as they witnessed what had just happened before them, for there standing in front of them if only for a split second was Arainaina. A young girl maybe no older then 16 dressed in Ancient Egyptian Clothes and jewels, skin as pale as ivory hues and rose tinted lips.

Well, as you can see...Things are getting pretty interesting if I must say so...Totally have to revamp a few chapters because I did a lot of revealing in this chapter so for the next 3 chapters will be totally different since they weren't suppose to come around until Chapter 10ish.
