Chapter 9: Rudy's Rampage
In other part of the woods, Manny's group is looking for Sid to help him but their quest comes to a halt as they stop in the clearing.
"This is ridiculous… This area is like a maze…" Manny stated in a frustrated tone.
"And a good one too…" Diego added.
"Well, forests can fool you whenever if you have a bad sense of direction." Shira stated.
"Hey, I resent that!" The bull replied defensively at the tigress.
"I'm just saying. Jeez, no wonder Sid has issues with you guys." The tigress remarked at the
"Hey, Sid does not have any problems with us!" The saber replied defensively.
"Really? Because I was wondering why he ran away?!" The tigress retorts at the saber.
"Why should you care? You barely knew him." The saber replied back.
"I sometimes have the tendency to be rough when meeting new faces." She stated.
"Is that how we first met?" He asked with a raised brow.
"Why? You don't mind me tackling you every now and then?" She asked with a smirk.
"Is there somethin' between ya two lovebirds?" Buck asked the couple.
"Uh… Err… …somewhat, yeah." Diego replied sheepishly towards the weasel.
"Eh… Softy's too much of a jerk to admit his feelings to others." Shira teased.
"I am not, kitty!" The saber retorted with a grimace look on his face.
The group heard a roar from a familiar dino which stops their conversation short.
"Looks like ol Snowflake found something." Buck informed the group with a smirk as he readies his knife.
"We better keep moving." Manny urged as he dashes off with the weasel to the source of the roar.
"Sid, please be OK…" Diego muttered to himself as he and Shira follow suit.
Meanwhile in the other part of the woods, Sid and his friends and enemies are fleeing from the murderous dino. Fang stops as he's done running and turns to climb the dino much to the sloth and others' shock.
"What the-? Fang, what are you doing?" Sid called out to the wolf.
The wolf ignored the sloth's cry and claws at the dino's right eye which made Rudy cry out in pain.
"Woah…" Zeke said in awe.
"Talk about hardcore." Squint replied in amusement.
"Guess this mutt isn't any ordinary mutt." Raz replied also.
The wolf jumps off the dino's snout and landed in front the group only to look at the dino who's rubbing his eye while whimpering.
"Not so tough now are ya?" Fang taunted the dino.
Rudy opens his eye and he looks down at the wolf while still tearing up only to roar loudly in anger which spooks the whole island.
"Uh… 'You wretched hound! I'm gonna tear you limb from limb until there's nothing left!'" Sid said as everyone looked at him in shock after he just translated what Rudy said. "That's what the dino's saying. No lie…"
"Great translation. Now, let's go!" The wolf said as he urged the animals to run as they did.
Rudy hunted the mammals in anger as they continue to flee for dear life. The mammal comes up at another fork in the road and the villain took the right path while the sloth's group took the right which Rudy follows.
"He's still on our tail." Sid stated the obvious.
"Is this dino that persistent to kill?" Fang asked the sloth.
"Pretty much. He wants to kill Buck for taking his tooth and now he's added you to his kill list." The sloth replied.
"What number am I?" The wolf asked again.
"Well, I'm gonna say 4 cuz he wants to kill Buck first, then me, then Momma and you." The sloth said pointing out the order.
"I see you kept track of that." The wolf relied with a smirk.
"Hey, No. 4, this is no time to be smiling." The sloth told the wolf.
"Oy! You jongens (boys) are giving me a headache with this ranking onzin (nonsense)!" Syra told the males while running.
"Maybe we should leave you behind and save us the trouble." The wolf remarked at the siren.
"Please…don't joke…" The siren said in a scared tone.
The mammals eventually ran into another dino which happens to be a t-rex from the sloth's story. Momma felt something bump into her foot and looks down at the sloth then looks up to see Rudy charging at them much to her shock. She picked the mammals up by their tails with her mouth and dashes aside to avoid the baryonyx's charge and sees he sees him crash into the tree only to rub his head and walks into the area she's living in.
"Well, at least he stopped chasing us." Syra remarked as the female dropped the mammals from her jaws.
"Ow! What gives Momma?!" Sid retorts a bit at the dino only to receive a growl from her. "OK… I'm sorry about letting Rudy invading your territory since you decided to stay up here for a bit." He apologized to the dino but snorts and walks back to her home where the albino baryonyx is roaming.
"Ya know, accepting someone's apology would've been nice ya know!" Fang yelled angrily at the t-rex who walked away from the mammals.
"My guess: she hates you now for the incident…" Syra stated the obvious.
"Thanks..." The sloth said dejectedly.
"Nice going, blabbermouth…" The wolf remarked as he chops the siren on her head.
"Ow! Damn mormel (mutt)!" The siren cursed at the lupine.
"OK, OK… Let's go before we get into anymore danger." The sloth urged the siren and wolf before walking off.
"Right!" The siren and wolf replied as they followed the sloth.
In the other part of the woods, Manny's group kept walking until they stopped after noticing the ceasing of Rudy's roar.
"Everything's gone silent…" Manny started in a concerned tone.
"Hmm… My guess Rudy stopped chasin' Sid fer a bit but…" Buck trailed off.
"But what?" Diego asked.
"Something or someone stopped him from attackin'." The weasel replied.
"Let's hope so…" The saber while thinking about what he previously said to upset the sloth.
Meanwhile in the other part of the woods, the sloth family travels through the woods together closely after hearing a roar from a dino they've never seen.
"Everyone stay close…" Milton told everyone.
"No need to tell us twice." Fungus said to his brother.
While traveling the sloths are unaware of a mysterious creature behind them who happens to be a saber with a scar on his face.
"Hmm? That's… Wait. No… That's not the sloth from Half Peak…" Damon said as turns away and walks elsewhere. "I know he's here… I didn't come here on an ice flow for nothing…" The evil saber said to himself as goes deeper into the woods hoping to find the sloth.
It looks like an old enemy of Sid's is on the island hunting for him. Momma is now mad at Sid for having her territory invaded by Rudy. Sid's group is safe from the baryonyx and the pirates but what'll happen next?
