At the last second Takano twisted his body around so that his back hit the tub instead of Ritsu hitting the water full on. Takano winced as he hit his head at the edge of the tub earning a small groan from the tall man. Water splashed over both he and Ritsu soaking them instantly.
"Damn it." He cursed softly. He lifted his left hand to rub the back of his head while the other held Ritsu tightly to his chest. "Ritsu? Are you alright?"
Takano looked down at the frightened cat. Ritsu had his claws curling around his shirt, his tail and ears were up in fear and his eyes were dilated. The water reached to Takano's chest and Ritsu's waist. Takano lifted his left hand to caress Ritsu's ears in hopes it would calm him down.
"Ritsu?"
Ritsu didn't respond. His frightened eyes met his and for a second Takano couldn't breathe. He never seen a person look so vulnerable in his life and seeing Ritsu's feared eyes brought out some unknown emotion bubbling up inside him.
Takano slowly pulled Ritsu closer to him making Ritsu jump at the sudden movement. "Ritsu? Hey it's ok, I got you." Takano caressed his cheek in hopes that it would bring him out of his daze.
Ritsu cocked his head a bit, his body still frozen, the water caressing his body. After a while Ritsu spoke up, his voice much calmer, "Um...Masamune?" Slowly Ritsu attempted to climb on top of Takano, trying to get away from the water.
Takano stiffen as Ritsu's claws dug into his skin in his attempt to climb on top of him. Takano tighten his arms around Ritsu so that he wouldn't go anywhere.
"What are you doing?" Ritsu asked breathlessly, his fears of the water momentarily forgotten.
Takano chuckled. "I don't know."
Ritsu pouted. "You're so weird."
Takano attempted a shrug. "Let's get out of here." He moved a bit to the left earning a cute squeak from Ritsu.
"Don't move! You might drop me into the water!" Ritsu clung to his shirt, his fear coming back.
"Ritsu relax, I got you." Takano attempted to move again but stopped when Ritsu screamed at him to stop. "Ritsu. Easy. I'm going to get out." Takano attempted again but almost slipped to the side causing a loud shriek from Ritsu.
Ritsu shook his head. "You're going to drop me." Ritsu looked to his left, his eyes fearful of the water.
Takano tightened his arm around Ritsu. "I'm not going to drop you. I promise."
Ritsu's fearful eyes locked on to Takano's determine ones. After a moment Ritsu nodded. Slowly, Takano got up from the tub; Ritsu clung to him, his face buried in Takano's shirt.
"There we're out, see?"
Ritsu didn't answer; he kept his face hidden from Takano's view. Takano grabbed two towels and made his way over to his room. He put Ritsu down on the bed and dried himself off. Takano looked back to the bathroom and sighed at the mess he made. He'll clean that up later.
Takano turned back to Ritsu to see sad emerald eyes. He had his head down as if in shame and he was slowly drying his wet hair with the towel.
Takano crouched down in front of Ritsu. "Ritsu...why are you afraid of water?"
Without looking at him Ritsu answered, "...It's none of your business."
Takano was taken aback by the cold bite in Ritsu's tone. "You don't have to be mean about it."
Ritsu looked away. "It doesn't concern you Masamune."
Takano smirked. "You finally said my name."
Ritsu blinked, his eyes finally meeting his. "You're crazy."
Takano shrugged. He grabbed the towel out of Ritsu's hands and dried Ritsu's hair. Once done he went to get his night clothes from the closet.
"...Hey Masamune." Ritsu called out softly.
"Hmm?" Takano went over to Ritsu and put on his clothes.
"...Why are you so nice to me?"
Takano could hear his confusion, his wonderment. "Nice? Me?" Takano grinned. "What are you talking about? I'm the worst."
Ritsu didn't react to Takano's teasing as he expected. Instead he looked away with a frown. "You're so...odd."
"And you're such a brat."
Again Ritsu was quiet. He turned his back to him, lifted the covers, and climbed into bed. "Good night Masamune."
Takano frowned. What's with Ritsu's behavior? He expected haughty retorts and cute pouts but Ritsu seemed depressed today.
Was it something I said?
Takano grabbed his own clothes and changed. Once done he climbed in bed. "Good night Ritsu."

Ritsu climbed out of bed as soon as he knew Takano was sound asleep. He whispered a small spell so that no matter how much noise he makes he wouldn't wake Takano up.
He went into the living room to retrieve his own clothes. Using his Magic, he enlarged his clothes, making them fit perfectly again.
Putting on his golden vest and long green coat, Ritsu reenters the bedroom. He takes out a pouch full of gold coins from his waist coat. To humans they were worth thousands of dollars, this would be enough to pay for all the troubles he caused for Takano. He placed it on the nightstand.
Taking one last look at Takano Ritsu slowly slipped from the room and out into the night.
I was hoping to upload more but my family bombarded me XD I will upload Light to my world in a few though! Todays my Birthday and I wanted to give you guys presents instead XD
