2 Years Later (3 Years After Fairy Tail's Disappearace)

"Lucy?" Laxus asked as he knocked on the door.

"Yeah?" I replied, finishing my letter to my mother.

"We need to talk." I flinched slightly at Lacus' serious tone.

"Is something wrong?"

"Uhm…" His face started reddening, "W-will you…. M-marry me?"

"Oh my god! Laxus!" I scream in joy and jumped to hug him, "Yes!"

"Thank god." He picked me up and spun me around.

"Oh my god…" I laugh, "Yes… Oh god… Yes."

His face brightened up with a large grin, "I was so worried."

"Well, now that you gave me some good news, I guess it's my turn." I had wanted to tell him tonight with a candle lit dinner, but that could wait.

"What is it?" The way he looked confused made me chuckle at how cute he looked. 'Was he really the one who threatened me?'

"Laxus…" I took a deep breath as he let me down, and looked into his eyes, "…I'm pregnant."

"A-are you joking?" I had to laugh again at the one his face seemed to twist with excitement and hope, "Lucy! This isn't funny."

"I know," I pouted slightly, so happy with life in general, "I'm sorry~."

"So…?" He looked into my eyes, "Are you serious?"

"Yes," I reached up to tangle my fingers into his soft hair and pulled him closer to me, "I'm dead serious."

"Holy…" He grinned and hugged me at my waist. I smiled and so did he, it just felt perfect as he smashed his lips against mine.

"This is…"

"Perfect." We chuckled and giggled. Three years ago, I wouldn't believe that this was really Laxus Dreyar. But now, we are getting married and I forgot all of the stupid little things.

'I have to tell Jellal…' I instantly frowned with worry and gently pushed Laxus away from me.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing," I smiled once more, "We have to tell Jellal." I had told Laxus about everything between Jellal and I.

"Hey…" He cupped my face with his hands, 'They're so warm…' I thought, "It's okay, I'm sure he'll understand." He replied.

"Yeah," I sighed and hugged him, "I'm sure he will."

…

"Jellal? Are you in there?" I asked as I knocked on his door.

After a few moments of waiting, he opened the door. His arm was resting on the doorframe and his head leaning on that arm. I glanced down and realized that he was shirtless with only a towel to cover his lower regions. There were droplets of water slowly running down his toned body, and as I "examined" him, my cheeks were gradually heating up. I looked down while my ears flamed, 'Oh gosh, I keep forgetting how hot he is…' I heard him chuckling and felt his hand on my head to ruffle my hair.

"Hey." He finally said, "You called?" He laughed once more and pulled his hand back.

"Y-yeah," I looked up, hoping that my face wasn't as red, "Laxus p-proposed to me." Jellal was the first person I told of my pregnancy so there was no need for me to inform him of that.

At first, I closed my eyes because I didn't want to see Jellal's reaction to my words. I knew that he liked, maybe even loved, me.

"Oh wow! That's awesome!" He laughed and it was… sincere, "Congratulations! That's great!" His smile made Laxus' seem like nothing.

I was so confused, 'Didn't he like me…?'

"We should celebrate!" He held my shoulders and squeezed them a little, "How about I cook us dinner?" He seemed so excited and so happy for us, "Well, I have to go back and finish that shower now." He chuckled and closed the door.

Jellal's POV

The pain was excruciating, my hands were shaking and I was shivering. I could barely breathe and what remains of my heart was being crushed in a death grip. I slowly made my way to the bathroom and locked the door, the tears were streaming down my cheeks. I bit my lip to stop the sobs from escaping, I didn't want Lucy to hear. She deserves to be happy… And I can't give that to her.

I gripped the edges of the sink like my life depended on it, until my knuckles turned white. My lip was finally bleeding but I couldn't feel any pain from it. I released a shaky sigh and licked my lip, "She deserves to be happy."

My shaking hands reached for the razor that is always placed next to the faucet. I let out another sigh, and placed the blade on my wrist, "And I can't give that to her." I said as the deep hole in my chest deepened and the relief took over my body.

'Just breathe…' I thought as I finally placed the razor back down, 'Just don't let her see how you feel. That way she can be happy.'

Lucy's POV

'Does Jellal still like me?' I thought to myself. As I continued to walk back to the room that Laxus and I shared, I heard voices. One that I recognized immediately and one that was unknown. It was Laxus and…. A woman? 'What are they talking about?' I quietly walked closer to the door and peered through the crack where it was opened. The light blinded me for a split second before I saw…

'What is this… What is this?!' They were kissing… I felt a few droplets of salty water fall from my eyes as I stood there frozen. I slowly walked back from the scene that I witnessed.

"Come on," The woman inside the room said, "I know you like it." I heard a moan and the sound of them falling on the bed… Our bed.

I couldn't hear anymore and ran. I need to go to somewhere, someone, I can trust. But I don't think there was anyone anymore, not after the man that I loved and trusted with my life betrayed me.

No, there was someone.

Jellal…
