Sorry that I haven't updated in a while. Just a reminder, this happens after the Heroes of Olympus series. Percy and Annabeth aren't married...yet.

Percy's POV:

"It's a giant bunny," Jason said. The ground shook again.

"You had better be joking, Grace," I warned. Pearl and Nico burst out laughing, again. "And you two had better cool it. I'm not in the mood to listen to this." They tried to stop.

"I'm not joking, Jackson. It's really a giant bunny," Jason said as he landed. We all thought for a moment.

"I could burn it," Leo offered.

"I could zap it," Jason said.

"I could try to charm it." That was Piper.

"I could drown it." Me.

"I could turn into a giant bunny...maybe...probably...no." Frank.

"No burning, zapping, drowning, or turning into another giant bunny," Pearl said. "You could try the charm-speak, Piper."

"You're no fun," Leo grumbled.

"Pretty much," Jason agreed.

"Yep," I said.

"I really wanted to try to turn into a giant bunny." Frank turned into a puppy.

"I don't like Chihuahuas," Pearl said. Frank turned into a Siberian husky and looked up at her.

"Puppy eyes don't work on me." Frank waited. "...Why haven't you changed back yet?...Oh, boy...Um...Crap. You're just too adorable. Fine. You can try to turn into a giant bunny. If you succeed, you turn back immediately. Got it?" Frank turned back into himself and hugged her.

"Thanks!" He sat down and concentrated. Nothing happened. We waited for five minutes. Nothing still happened. Frank sighed and stood up.

"Guess we should try the charm-speak." By now, the bunny was around the building, and it had stopped.

"Oh my gosh. It is so cute!" Piper and Pearl walked over to it.

"Nico, go with them." Nico nodded and ran over to them. Piper talked to it for a while, but the bunny didn't move. She came back without Pearl and Nico. Pearl was talking to and petting it. The bunny seemed to like her. They came back as well.

"Can I keep it, Percy?" she asked.

"No."

"Please?" Pearl looked at me with her big dark green eyes.

"...Um, no." I didn't sound sure, though. She kept looking at me and even allowed tears in her eyes. I was a goner.

"Fine. But it stays here until we come back." She smiled and hugged me.

"I already told it to stay here when I left," she said as she waved to it. We heard a train whistle.

"Just in time." Piper smirked at me and got on the train with everyone else. I shook my head and followed.

Pearl's POV:

I grinned once I sat down in the train. Percy was wrapped around my little finger. While everyone else slept except Nico, I thought about my foster parents. I felt guilty that I hadn't thought about them until now.

"What are you thinking about?" Nico asked.

"Nothing."

"Right. That's why you have a guilty look on your face," Nico said. When I glared at him, he smiled.

"Just go to sleep, Nico. I'm keeping watch first," I told him. He shrugged and closed his eyes. Ten minutes later, Nico was asleep and I could barely keep my eyes open.

"Pearl, I'll take over now," Percy whispered.

"No, I can do it," I mumbled. Percy sighed and was quiet for a while.

"You know, I haven't seen Nico smile in a while, much less laugh," he said quietly. I grunted, too tired to talk. Percy continued.

"I didn't know you before you came to camp, but I feel like I've always known you." Percy paused, waiting for me to signal that I was still awake. When I didn't do anything, Percy leaned over and put a blanket over me. He waited a moment, then kissed my forehead. Percy didn't notice the smile on my face as he sat back down.

I woke up to Nico shaking me.

"Pearl! Wake up already!"

"What time is it?" I mumbled.

"She lives!" Nico told the others. "It's eight in the morning. We have to switch trains in a couple minutes, Pearl." I groaned and stretched. Percy smirked when I wrapped myself back up in the blanket.

"Wake me up when we get there," I said tiredly.

"My turn," I heard Percy whisper. The next thing I know, freezing cold water is thrown on my head. I immediately send the water back to Percy and get up. He deflects it onto Jason. We all start laughing at Jason's face. He shocks Percy so bad that Percy's hair stands up straight. Percy starts to throw more water at Jason but stops when we hear a growl from behind us. I turned around and saw a hellhound along with a Fury. Nico stepped in front of everyone.

"What do you want, Alecto?" he asked. The hellhound growled.

"Out of my way, son of Hades. I have to kill the daughter of Poseidon," Alecto hissed. Percy also stepped forward.

"Over my dead body," Percy told Alecto. The Fury smiled, or at least tried to.

"That works, too." Then, it lunged for Percy.
