Chapter 9:

A couple of months had passed and I was hunting with Edward, Kaine, Kalina and Renesmee. We were enjoying our time together as a family. We had moved to Alaska. We were living close to the Denali family. Neither of us started school again, and Carlisle chose not to work at the hospital this time. It wasn't too long ago since they had lived here so we were more hidden. We kept to ourselves but we enjoyed our time together and what we spent with our family. Suddenly I started to feel a slight headache and I told Edward to follow me. We entered a clearing where the snow was stretching as far as we could see. Edward's phone went off.

"Yes, Alice?"

"Get away from there now! If you don't the future for you, your mate and your children will go black!" The click was heard and I met his eyes. I picked up Renesmee while he took our twins and we ran towards our home. Our family including the Denali's sat in the living room.

"Alice, what did you see?" Esme asked.

"The witches! They will ruin the whole continent if we don't meet them in the clearing at the end of this month," she said frantic. "But if they," she pointed towards me and Edward. We were still holding our kids, "had entered today the witches would have appeared and they would have been killed by them." She sobbed quietly into her hands and Jasper tried his best to comfort her.

"Thank you for calling us, Alice," Edward said and went over to hug her.

"I will call Aro," I said and let Renesmee down.

"It might help us, but it is not guaranteed," Carlisle said and looked at me.

"At least the guards got some gifts that might help us, but then again, numbers might not help when it comes to this fight against the witches," I answered Carlisle.

"But it might scare them some," Jasper spoke up.

"And without Bella's powers it would surely help with some extra backup," Rosalie said.

"We'll see then," I answered. I hit the call button and at the second ring, he answered.

"Oh, Bella my dear, what a lovely surprise!" Aro said on the other side.

"I wish it was for other reasons, but something has come up," I answered and looked over to Alice. "The witches wants to see us in a clearing in Alaska by the end of the month, in case you want to send backup I had to call."

"Why of course! We can't afford to lose you again dear. I will contact Carlisle in a week and inform who and how many will come." I looked over to Carlisle to see that he had gotten the information, and he did. I said a quick `bye´ and hung up.

"Now that this is clear we have to figure out what to do. I do have a feeling my powers are gone for good though," I said with a frown.

"Don't think like that Bella. It will come back when the time is right," Esme said and I smiled a smile of gratitude towards her.

"Not to interrupt anything important, but we might need a plan?" Tanya spoke up. And with that we planned.

Weeks had come to pass and we stood by the clearing. Our family, the Denali family and several guards from Volterra. The three sisters stood on the opposite side, a bit further away from us, and they reeked from evil. Black power emanating from them reminding me of snakes and I shook my head in disgust.

"You came," they said in synchronisation.

"Of course, like we had any choice," I spat.

"You always got a choice," they answered tilting their heads to the side. How annoying.

"In this case, no we didn't. You were threatening us to come out here, why though? What makes you so certain of your win?" I asked in a sickly sweet voice.

Before any of us had any time to react one of the guards was in front of them and the darkness surrounded him, suddenly it looked like something was drawn out of him, and when they finished, there was only dust left. It did the trick though; the guard got angry and started to sprint forward, not thinking about that I held the commando here. I shook my head as I realized we might as well join. One and one was turned into dust and as I kept dodging the fire balls sent at me I realized that Edward was about to die.

I hadn't felt this angry and a long time and as my rage grew raw power ripped through me, and my old powers came back in full force. My physical shield shot out and surrounded all our friends and family and then I sent lightning bolts towards the witches. They managed to take the hit without a scratch and suddenly golden dust appeared beside me. Tiny creatures started to chant in my ear, lending me their power to give an extra boost.

I trapped the witches with a smirk, and for the first time in a long time, I could see fear in their eyes. I let my shield slowly suffocate them as I decided to have a little chat.

"You have harmed my family for the last time, pay for your crimes and be gone. If you ever arise again trying to oppose me, I will take you down again." Fairies started to appear everywhere at the clearing now and they were filled with joy, the threat was about to disappear. With the four elements merged together I finished the witches off and fell down to my knees. I had met many magical creatures in such a long time, and I hoped that we could finally live in peace with the last witches out of the picture. At least the evil ones.

Fairies surrounded our family to talk with them as I called upon Aro to give a report on the fight. Many guards were lost, and from a tiny source I understood it like this, the witches ate their souls. I could not save them. Also I told him about my powers return. I heard a tiny disappointed sound in his voice. Stupid father, I thought for a moment and shook my head. It's not like I was going to sit on a throne giving out orders anyway. I had children and mate, and another family. I would stay with them for now.

The fairies said their good byes and disappeared in a golden mist. My family, especially Emmett and Alica overly excited over the discovery. They had touched all our family members, gifting them with heightened senses and promises to visit soon again, but first they were off to celebrate.

I started to giggle as I felt my intense power source die down, and I noticed I could barely feel them.

"So I can only use them when I really need them, eh?" I thought aloud.

"What are you talking about, Bella?" Edward asked as he came over.

"My powers are present, but not much at all. It seems I can mainly use them when there is a threat around. But that's ok," I answered as I pulled him in for a kiss.

Our children came over to us and I looked towards Renesmee. Would it work? I wondered. I closed my eyes as I started to focus all my powers on Renesmee. After what seemed like forever I could hear her tiny fluttering heartbeat and I opened my eyes to see she had changed already, well a tiny bit. My family looked at me confused and I bent down to Renesmee's level.

"I am giving you a chance at a normal life, well as normal as it can be with a vampire full of vampires," I said with amusement as I saw her confused look. "You will start aging now as a hybrid like your brother and sister," I said as I saw realization on her face and it broke into a beautiful smile. Then she frowned.

"I will stay with mom and dad?" she asked.

"Of course!" Edward and I answered at the same time. So she was afraid she had to move? I laughed.

"Don't worry, you will always have a family," Esme said as she came over and picked her up. Renesmee squealed happily and the rest of us laughed. Kaine and Kaliana keeping Emmett and Jasper busy. Bothering them non-stop asking what had happened.

"Let's go home guys!" Alice shouted from the other side of the clearing as she wanted to do shopping for Renesmee. Horror clouded my face. Oh, poor Nessie!

As this is the end for now, it is also a quite short chapter. I figured out based on the last chapter that it could end like this. It's not as I expected, because in my head I imagined a longer story (and better one) but the motivation since I started on it died down. Anyway I hoped you liked it even though it ended like this. So if motivation gets back I am thinking of a rewrite, but I can't promise.
