The soldier coughs in pain, breathing heavily from being winded from a near point blank range shot from a shotgun. He quickly leans up and takes aim for Gaara's head. A single gunshot is heard and the M4 is suddenly forced to the side and a few shots come from it, but part of the Carbine explodes and the soldier yells in shock and releases it. The soldier looks, seeing Naruto holding a gun, aimed at where his M4 Carbine was. "What the fuck did you do?! This psychopath just killed that woman and you just fucking destroyed my weapon!" He yells, quickly grabbing the M4 Carbine and looks at it, seeing a section and could tell the weapon isn't going to be able to fire anymore. He removes the clip and quickly pulls out his side arm, a Beretta 92 and takes aim.

"STOP IT!" Naruto yells in anger, aiming at the soldier's head.

The soldier glance's his way, seemingly irritated. "He is a danger to us all; he nearly killed me and just killed that woman."

The woman in the purple clothes looks at the soldier. "He did more than that...he tried to kill us in there and even killed a couple of us...including a boy..." She says in fear.

Naruto clenches his teeth, seeing Gaara rive in pain and continues screaming. "I don't give a shit! He's my friend!" Naruto yells, keeping the gun locked on the soldier's head.

The soldier clenches his teeth and coughs a little and stands up as quickly as possible. "Fine, but leave the bastard here and get inside the building. I have to get that guy with the hostages!" He yells, running over to the door the person took the two women; he takes a few shots at nearby Walkers and rushes into the building. Naruto quickly gets up, helping his mother up and the two quickly drag Tenten towards the door the soldier told them to go through. The others quickly do the same, but when Naruto passes Gaara, he looks down at him screaming in pain and curses. "Mum! Take Tenten and I'll help Gaara inside.

"But Naruto, he did kill Susana and tried to kill everyone!" Kushina tells him, feeling panicky as the Walkers were closing in on them.

"I know him! I'm not leaving him behind!" Naruto yells and releases Tenten while Kushina curses and starts dragging her away while Naruto grabs the screaming Gaara and drags him towards the door. The two enter and quickly shut the doors and Naruto quickly starts throwing things at the door, trying to block it and make sure it won't bust open by the Walkers. "Fuck..." Naruto says, but a slap on the back of the head by his mother.

"Language!" She yells, she soon starts helping Tenten by dragging her away from the door which soon started having a few banging sounds from it. Naruto panics and starts throwing anything he could find onto the door. After throwing everything he could find and goes to Gaara, seeing him slowly quiet down, passing out now by pain and blood loss.

Naruto starts dragging him down the hallway and steps on something and looks, seeing a fresh corpse of a woman in her early forties. He looks carefully and recognised her as one of those people he passes on a street more than once. He soon spots a couple of bullet wounds and wonders what happened and keeps dragging his friend down the hall. He looks and sees a doorway and that everyone is inside and drags Gaara into it.

Arguments start rising by the sight of Gaara. "Why is that killer here!" The woman with blond hair and purple clothes yells in annoyance, shock and anger.

Naruto sighs, gently dropping Gaara and loads his gun's chamber and points it at the others. "He is my friend!" Naruto yells at them, making the two remaining people panic and duck behind the beds. "He's got this mental condition that causes him to black out!" Naruto tells them, feeling sad for Gaara and once he knows no one is going to act against him, he places the gun on the floor and quickly starts applying pressure to Gaara's bullet wounds. Kushina is shocked by her son's behaviour and feels worried since she remembers what Gaara did when he entered this very room they were staying at. She looks towards the other end of the room, seeing the smashed open door and blood/brain matter splattered across a nearby bed.

Flashback

Gaara smashes the door open, hearing a gasp and he shoots to the right hand side, blowing the head of a fourteen year old boy without even looking. Gaara quickly scans the room, seeing people yell in fear and Strife's people begin shooting at him. Gaara quickly runs forward and ducks, sliding to the bed and manages to shoot another bullet, hearing a woman yelp before he was under the bed. Gaara continues to roll towards them, seeing the bed he's under getting damaged quickly.

Gaara hears a pause in the gunshots and jumps back onto his feet. He quickly aims, seeing two people run through the other door on the other end. Gaara spots everyone else doing the same thing and two of Strife's gang members were reloading their guns, but one reaches for a shotgun leaning against the wall behind him. Gaara shoots at them, hitting the wall, causing everyone to duck and the guy to not bother with the shotgun anymore.

A bloody woman with brown hair stumbles through the door, trying to escape and followed by the two remaining civilians, leaving the two gang members. Gaara shoots two more times before the chamber locks back, indicating no bullets. Gaara chucks it aside, seeing the one reloading his gun aiming to kill Gaara. Gaara pulls out the revolver Naruto gave him and shoots, making the gangster drop in fear. Gaara soon aims at the other, shooting and missing the gangster, he quickly aims for another part of the wall, firing and a sudden scream comes as the bullet hits the wall. The two gangsters yell in fear, quickly diving through the exit and running, not knowing Gaara's out of ammunition and just leaves him there.

Gaara throws the gun and walks towards the exit. He stops for a moment and reaches to the side, grabbing the shotgun and opens the door, strangely calm. "Mother...more blood shall come your way." He says and walks towards the direction that everyone went.

End flashback

Naruto continues to keep pressure on Gaara's bullet wounds, quickly using the nearby sheets of a bed and tearing them up and applying them to his wounds, trying to slow the bleeding. He's scared since he doesn't know what to do with bullet wounds, other than what he's seen on TV.

Kushina looks at him, knowing he's stressed out and scared and sighs. She walks over to help him, even though Gaara did try to kill them, but Naruto obviously was worried for him and helps him.

Several yards from their location, the soldier is inside the building he saw the two women get pulled into. He slides a broom into the latch to help stop the Walkers from getting through. He takes a few steps, breathing slowly as he scans the area as he slowly walks down the hallway. He notices something on the ground and sees a decapitated body lying on the ground. He looks round carefully and notices movement from the corner of his eye. He quickly aims and sees a Walker with bullet wounds on his check and fires at its head, killing it.

He quickly turns and scans the perimeter, not wanting to get caught by surprise and curses a little since he just gave his position away and the Walkers outside start banging against the door. He pulls out his combat knife and readies himself for combat, he walks down the hallway. He scans the area and listens carefully, he hears something nearby and looks, seeing a door and believing that was where the sound came from. He takes a breath and smashes the handle of the door with his boot and quickly takes aim. His eyes catch sight of two people standing there, well sitting mostly, the two women that the man took. He quickly spins round and ducks as a katana flies for his neck.

The soldier quickly swings his knife, but the man jumps back and swings again. The soldier blocks with the knife and quickly scraps across the katana, having his knife released and grabs the wrist of the man. His Beretta 92 quickly aims it at his head and keeps it there; he feels some pressure though his bullet proof jacket, round his abdomen. He looks down and sees a Glock pressed against his and then glares at the man. "You put the weapon down, or I'll make things worse for you."

"More than putting a bullet through my head?" He questions and looks at his appearance. "You don't look like everyone else from Strife's people."

The soldier lowers his Beretta slightly. "That mean you're part of the attacking group?" He questions, gaining a confirmed nod from him. "Alright, I apologise, I thought you were part of the gang here." The soldier replies and lets go of him. "The name is Private Raiden Darkoff, United States Marine Spec Ops. I am here to take out hostile activity and escort survivors to an outpost." He informs the man.

"...Uh...I'm Ethan Blade...I am part of a surviving group...I'm honestly not sure what happened, but I took the women there because they're part of my group." Ethan tells him, lowering his Glock and katana.

"Some from your group may be in the next building. We need to gather them up and move from this area. More of the Infected are going to be heading this way and I know of a larger group further in that can assist us." Raiden informs him and looks inside the room to see one of the women having a makeshift leg cast. "Damn it...this may increase our time of travelling."

"We'll make it..." Ethan tells him and goes into the room to help Vienna up with Raven. "Just cover us." He tells Raiden and starts moving to find a way to the others.

At the alleyway that Lisa and Yakumo are within, they see the continuous screams and pleas from the gang member. They watch as Walkers start to bang against the fence, all of them hunting for something to eat. "Help me! Please help me!" He cries as he tries to move, but his body wouldn't allow it.

Yakumo feels the panic of the situation and grabs hold of Lisa, wanting to flee before the Walkers get through. Lisa gets a few tears in her eyes and starts running. "I'm sorry!" She yells, saying it several times as she leaves the injured gang member behind.

"NO! DON'T LEAVE ME! PLEASE!" He screams as they run further away and soon get out of sight, leaving him to his fate.

Several miles away, two trucks are parked on the main road out of the town. Bloodstains the sides and front of the trucks, dented from several collisions. Both trucks have their backs open and several people stand on the road. "Strife!" One of them yells, obviously angry. "You fucking let our street be taken by a bunch of cunts!"

Strife sits in the truck, looking at them, appearing not to be phased. "And?" He asks, not sounding bothered.

"We fucking lost over half our numbers! Not to mention some of our stashes!" Another yells, pulling out a knife.

Strife chuckles and looks back, seeing a half full truck of food, drinks, bags and Max tending to a slightly beaten Tamara. "We've got enough food to last half a year with our numbers. We took care of those who would drag us down, we still got drugs and not to mention entertainment." Strife tells them, looking at Richy who chuckles darkly for a second. "No, I say we store what there is into one truck, that way we don't waste too much food. And once we're ready, we'll check on that Forty-Second Blockade that Atticus fellow mentioned he was heading to." Strife tells them and loads the chamber of his gun. "Any objections?" Strife's people look at each other, nodding and doing as ordered, removing the other truck of anything useful.

A couple of hours pass and Naruto's group were still within the bed area of the building. Naruto had Tenten and Gaara on beds now and kept the bandages tight to try and stop any bleeding. They all introduced each other, but some were more hostile than others, Ino Yamanaka is the blond and the other is a man with short brown hair called Atticus Markson. Ino did have medical training, but did little towards Gaara's medical needs, only keeping the bandages on and telling him that two out of three bullets went straight through and needed medical attention on the one that didn't pass through. Atticus on the other hand was shyer and kept to himself, not wanting to get too involved. He did however inform the others about a Blockade in the East that was meant to still be holding while the ones in the south were overrun before radio signals went dead.

Kushina told Naruto what happened when the outbreak occurred, she was shopping for the week, but she found the Infected attacking at the mall she was at during the time. She tried to get to her car, but too many Infected blocked her path and she had been running and hiding most of the week with others. There were several dozen at one point, but someone was bitten and nearly wiped out the entire group still Strife's people arrived. Naruto nods, knowing that Strife was bad, but felt grateful that he saved his mother.

Something made noise outside the door on the opposite end of the room. Everyone's eyes widen in surprise and shock, but mostly fear. Naruto points the Glock he has at the door, knowing it only had a few rounds left while Atticus grabs a baseball bat and readies it, even though it's several feet away. The door swings open and they see a man carrying a young woman with a makeshift cast round her leg and a teenage girl quickly following. Naruto lowers the gun, slightly surprised to see Ethan, glad at the same time and the two girls he saved. A second later, the soldier they met before appears at door, stabbing his knife into the skull of a Walker before kicking it away and slamming the door shut and leans against it. "Would someone mind blocking the doorway with something!?" He yells, pressing against it harder as a few bangs were heard from the other side.

Naruto and Atticus run towards the door, quickly grabbing a bed and dragging it quickly towards the door and they manage to reach it. Ethan has put Vienna down on a nearby bed and quickly grabs the bed with them as the two flip the bed to push against the door. The soldier quickly moves out of the way and presses against the bed against the door. "We need more!" Ethan yells and runs over to drag another bed to the door. They continue this routine and leave four beds against the door.

The soldier nods at this, satisfied with the blockade. "Right, we've got to move now. If we stay any longer, we won't be able to escape and we'll starve if we don't leave now. I've brought their attention to this side of the door and street, so we should find it easier to move on the other side." He tells them and looks round, soon spotting the unconscious Gaara and narrows his eyes. "Did I not suggest leaving that man behind?" He questions, glaring at the red haired man.

Naruto curses under his breath and punches the back of the soldier's head. "I'M NOT LEAVING HIM BEHIND!" Naruto roars in anger, already tired of arguing for Gaara's life. He then walks over to Gaara, picking him up as best as he could. Kushina does the same for Tenten, showing she's surprisingly stronger than she looks.

Atticus looks at the soldier and shrugs before following with the bat. Ethan looks at the soldier and goes to pick up Vienna. "I think its settled Private Darkoff...we've got a means of transport a few streets away...might want to hurry." He says and hurries over to the door.

Raiden is left looking in slight shock and looks at Ino and Raven who also follow, wanting to go with the majority of the group. "Damn it..." He whispers and follows.

Several seconds pass and everyone is at the place they entered from. Raiden readies his knife and gun and nods at Ethan to open the door. Ethan opens said door and the two quickly rush out, blades swinging and a few Walkers hit the ground. Naruto and Kushina hurry out with Tenten and Gaara in their arms, Raven and Ino were helping Vienna walk and Atticus taking up the rear and swinging at a nearby walker.

Raiden looks round carefully, seeing several gaps in the horde on the street, but filled further down the streets. "We're going to have to go round!" Raiden yells, stabbing a Walker nearby and kicking it away.

Naruto looks at the buildings they were in previously. "What about the others?" Naruto questions, remembering that there were a few in the building opposite the building he was in. "Shouldn't we check if they're alive!?" Naruto questions and adjusts his arms.

"Too risky." Raiden tells him and starts moving away as more Walkers notice their presence and the group start following. "If they're still alive, we'll have to come for them later!" He tells them.

Ethan curses and thinks, trying to think on what the others would do. "If they're alive and not trapped, they may of tried for the cars or back to the place we began." Ethan tells them.

Raiden nods and starts moving further down the street. "Alright, we head round, get to the cars and see if they're alive in either place, if not, assume they're dead and head to the safe zone." Raiden tells them, knowing they'll lose more if they try to save others at this point in time. The group start hacking and pushing their way through the few Walkers in their way.

Several feet from them, a person stands amongst the Walkers, covered in old blood, body parts and intestines. The remaining clothes that can be seen are those of Strife's people and the person just stands there, smirking a little. "Damn it Strife...left me here to die...might as well prove them I'm a survivor." He says and follows them slowly, following the horde since he smells like them and they don't seem focused on anything else but them.

Several minutes pass and the group has been moving as fast as they could, but many running out of breath by carrying people. They reach an alleyway and look, seeing a van and a parked car waiting there, half knowing that it's their cars. Ethan starts heading towards the cars, but soon sees a few Walkers feasting on a corpse. Ethan curses under his breath and quickly moves towards the Walkers and starts slicing through them, decapitating them quickly before they could react and looks at the corpse. He stops himself from throwing up and walks away from it. "It's just some person...not our group." He tells them and looks round, sighing in disappointment. "No sign of them..." He says and leans against the car.

Raiden takes a few breaths and looks down both side of the street before motioning the others to get into the alleyway. "How many were there?" He questions, keeping an eye out for any movement since he could see Walkers in the streets further ahead, but there could be others closer.

"Four...Ted, Lisa, Yakumo and Ruth...they were in the opposite building I ran into...I should've gone to make sure they were okay..." Ethan curses, wondering if they made it or if they're even alive. "We can rest here and go back-"

Raiden looks back at the group. "Negative, we need to move now. More of the Infected will come this way and the safe zone may end up getting harder to get into. If we are all secure, I can go back out to investigate what happened to them...but right now, I need to make sure everyone gets to safety." He tells them, making everyone look anxious.

Ethan curses under his breath. "I'll stay behind to check on them. I know what they look lik-" Ethan began, but Raiden raises his hand.

"I'm not leaving you in this place; it's too dangerous for anyone to stay. We all leave now, and you don't get left behind to die for nothing." Raiden tells him, pointing at the van. "Now get them in and I'll tell you where to go!"

Ethan looks at him and curses under his breath and goes to help everyone get into the two separate vehicles. Ethan looks round and notes that there is a pencil and a few pieces of paper. He quickly grabs it and starts writing on it and quickly goes to a dustbin. He quickly lifts the lid and closes it, keeping the piece of paper in between it, leaving it in its place. The group were all but in the two vehicles and Ethan enters the car. Raiden takes the driver's side on the van and takes off, the car soon following.

A minute passes and a man covered in blood and gore walks into the alleyway, cursing a little and wonders into the alleyway. He scans the area, coughing a little from the smell and curses, wondering where they went. He catches something in the corner of his eye and looks, seeing a piece of paper. He walks over to it and smirks, chuckling a little before walking off. "Where the fuck are they then?" He questions and keeps on walking.

The paper attached to the dustbin reads 'Ted, Ruth, Lisa and Yakumo, if you read this, we left you behind. We will be back, stay somewhere safe, we will be back.'

Less than an hour passes, near Strife's street, Ruth laid on the roof, the same place as he had fallen and lying in a puddle of his own blood. A gasping breath comes from him and a coughing soon follows. The old man takes deep breaths and starts pushing himself up, coughing in pain as tears run down his cheeks and nose as he looks at the amount of blood he's lost. His attention soon scans round the area, noticing it's now getting dark, indicating the sun setting. He weakly pushes himself up, so he's sitting up and feels woozy in doing so. He coughs a little more and drags himself towards the edge of the roof and pulls himself up to look at the street. His eyes go wide and shock soon sets in, seeing Walkers all over the street, not even five feet of space between them as a few Walkers eat some corpses, but he even spotted a few gang members are now Walkers. He coughs a little and slides down, laying on his side and his body shivering and remains there, looking into nothing as his two rifles nearby.

Several miles away, near a shopping mall, a figure is seen sitting on the edge of the roof. It watches the roads outside and soon catches movement and spots a van and a car, smashing its way through a few Walkers and heading towards the back. The figure starts moving quickly and appears to be talking on a radio as it vanishes into a nearby doorway.

In the parking lot, several Walkers are knocked down by the cars and they round the mall and stop suddenly. The car doors swing open and people start running out, swinging what weapons they have and look at the mall. "This is the safe zone!?" Ino yells, slightly surprised since she'd of thought it would be overrun by now.

Kushina looks at the mall as she goes to carry Tenten. "It can't be...I was here and the mall was getting swarmed."

Raiden stabs a Walker in the head and scans the area, knowing that they've got a few minutes before they were swarmed or forced back into the cars. "It's been secured. A few members of the police force have taken hold of a space in there with several others. I only managed to find them on a weak radio frequency." He tells them and quickly moves towards the mall and the group soon notice metal shutters that are designed for trucks to unload. He starts banging on the shutters for a few seconds and moves away and gets ready to defend the others.

Naruto starts dragging Gaara towards the shutters and notices what he did. "Wait...aren't they suppose to open up!?" Naruto yells, dragging Gaara closer to the shutters.

"They don't have complete control of the mall! They know we're down here, we just got to hold here for a minute or so before they get the shutters up!" Raiden yells and kicks a Walker away.

Kushina carries Tenten and follows Naruto while the others make up a line. Raven helps Vienna walk out of the van and quickly stagger towards the shutters. Ethan quickly slices off a head of a nearby Walker which were near the vehicles. Seconds pass, almost felt like minutes as Walkers start moving their way, slowly removing the gaps to escape easily by car. Atticus starts sweating a little, watching Raiden and Ethan kill the few Walkers that were closer, Ino and Kushina were near the unconscious and wounded, ready to pick them to either flee or get inside, Naruto is getting nervous as he waits, unsure to attack or help the wounded.

They hear a metallic clank and they all look at the shutters, feeling excited and relieved. Naruto quickly starts dragging Gaara to the shutters, but his eyes go wide when he hears something else. He and soon those near the shutters hear a purposeless yet gargling gasping sound as more metallic clanks came from the other side. "Fuck!" Naruto yells, nearly dropping Gaara.

"What!?" Ethan yells, hearing Naruto's swear.

"There's a Walker on the other side of the shutters!" Naruto calls back and looks at Raiden. "You said they had the place secured!?"

Raiden quickly breaks the leg of a Walker and stabs it in the side of its head. He then looks over at Naruto and then the shutters and shrugs. "They're in there, maybe they haven't secured it all!" Raiden yells at them, looking round and seeing more Walkers start getting closer.

Ethan and Raiden continue killing off the Walkers, Atticus and Raven were defending one part, but both were still amateur and killing the few Walkers poorly. Those with guns were now starting to use them since the Walkers were becoming a horde. Naruto starts banging against the metal shutters, panicking as the Walkers are getting closer and everyone is running out of ammunition. "I thought you said they would save us!" Naruto yells, smashing his foot against the shutters, trying to get attention on the other side, but only hearing more banging on the other side.

Raiden sighs in annoyance. "I told you they don't have full control of the building! We're to wait here until they manage to open it!"

"We're going to die before they get here!" Ino screams, clearly panicking and starts banging against the shutters. Atticus and Raven start pulling back as Ethan starts covering their side while Raiden starts backing up to them as well. Kushina and is currently the one looking after those incapable of moving by themselves. Raiden and Ethan the only ones on defence and are panicking as well.

Everyone starts seeing more coming and if they didn't move now, they'll be killed because all escape routes will. Naruto starts getting annoyed and quickly grabs Atticus's bat and starts swinging at the shutters. A few seconds later, the shutters open quickly and Naruto, along with everyone catches sight of a few people in police uniform, armed with shotguns and side arms and a few corpses inside the building. They rush out and start firing at the Walkers. "Get inside! Now!" One of them yells, determined not to get anyone killed.

Everyone does as instructed, but a few ran to help those incapable of moving and drag them inside as quickly as possible. The police unleash a few rounds into the horde before running back and shutting them, once everyone is through.

Naruto breathes heavily and quickly grabs his mum and hugs her, happy that they managed to get to safety. The two quickly put their attention on Gaara and Tenten, both still unconscious and quickly check to make sure they're not worse off. "Naruto?" A male voice comes, making Naruto look up, finding the voice familiar. He and Kushina look round and see a police officer that they knew was Taylor.

"Oh my god...Taylor, I'm glad you're still alive." Kushina says and walks over to hug him. He hugs her and looks at Naruto and Kushina for a few seconds before looking down and seeing Tenten, his eyes going wide from shock. He pushes Kushina away and dives to his daughter's side. "Tenten! Tenten! God, what happened to you!?" He yells, looking at Naruto with serious and scared eyes. "What the hell happened to my daughter!?"

Naruto raises both of his hands to try to calm him. "We were saved by these people and they did this to her later." Naruto tells him, leaving out a few details. "My group fought back to save her...but Mrs Tamara...she...she was taken by the group and we couldn't get to her...she was still alive from what I saw...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..." Naruto whispers and lowers his head and feeling depressed. "I should've done something...I should've saved them both..."

Taylor clenches his teeth and picks up his daughter and starts moving. "We've got to move, our ammunition is low and we've probably attracted more of the Infected." Taylor tells them and starts walking, the others start following. Naruto looks down in shame and sees Kushina look sad as she helps pick up Gaara, Naruto soon following in helping her. The group starts heading into the mall, being slow and cautious since they were unsure what to expect. They walk deeper into the building, seeing a lot of darkness from lights being switched off and they slowly make their way to a door. Taylor takes a breath and motions to the door. A second later, one of the police officers walks to the front. The group finally look at their saviours, one obviously being Taylor, a rather masculine, bald, black man with a shotgun and a police uniform. The other appears to be a security guard that is only just out of high school, looking nervous as the black officer.

He takes a deep breath and readies himself and quickly swings the door open. A second later, a shotgun blast is heard, nearly deafening everyone as they see a Walker fly back without its head. Everyone starts flooding out from the dark corridor and find the brightly lit halls of the mall. Everyone looks round, their eyes becoming fearful as they see several Walkers heading their way. Raiden scans and starts shooting at the Walkers, almost getting all the shots being headshots, however; the clip ran empty before they were all dead. More Walkers start appearing from shops and out of eyesight places, thus making everyone panic more.

Taylor quickly looks round, quickly backing to the side and presses a button. A pinging sound comes nearby and they spot an elevator nearby and Taylor quickly goes to rush in. "Get in!" He yells, but soon stopping, his eyes going wide and quickly backs away. A Walker stumbles out of the elevator; it's partly gnawed on hand reaching out to Taylor. Taylor quickly kicks the Walker away, but it only caused it to stumble and Taylor nearly falls back since Tenten's weight is making it too awkward. The Walker began trying to grab Taylor again, the black officer noticing there is a Walker and curses. He aims to shot the Walker, but Naruto appears and tackles the Walker, purely out of instinct to save Taylor and Tenten. The officer quickly rushes over and grabs Naruto by the collar and pulls him up as he pins his foot against the Walker and aims the shotgun and presses it against the Walker's head and fires. The ground is soon damaged and covered in blood and gore before throwing Naruto into the elevator. "Move it or lose it!" He yells and aims at the Walkers, but not firing.

Kushina quickly and awkwardly drags Gaara into the elevator, soon having Ethan help her. Taylor quickly rushes in and Atticus, along with Raven help Vienna. Ino soon follows with the security guard follow and Raiden and the black officer quickly enter and the black officer presses the elevator button. They wait and watch as Walkers start getting closer, but the doors shut before they even got within two dozen feet. Everyone breaths in some relief, glad on finally managing to get to a safe zone without losing anyone, hoping to get a decent night sleep with the police watching over them.

A couple of hours pass and everyone was resting. Gaara, Tenten and Vienna however were being tended to by the nurse and doctor that happen to be inside the building. The survivors in the building were complaining that they're going to have less room and the food supply is going to run out faster.

Inside the security room, two security guards were watching the screens, seeing the Walkers roaming and people doing what they do. They watch and occasionally look at the cameras station outside, but seeing nothing but more Walkers. "So this is where the cameras show what they're showing..." A young voice comes from behind them.

The two men yell in shock and quickly look, soon spotting a teenage girl with black hair and purple highlights. "Where did you come from!?" One of them yells in shock.

Raven tilts her head and points at the door behind her which is the only way to get in. "I'm Raven." She tells them and looks at the screens. "What did it use to be like before the dead started walking again?"

"...Boring...dull...the occasional shoplifter." One of them tells her and looks at the screens. "Looks like a live on at the fire exit." He says and lights a cigarette.

Raven looks round and soon spots a screen that had a man trying to smash his way through a fire exit. Her eyes soon go wide, seeing that he is panicked and trying to get in, but failing badly and the two men weren't doing anything. "Aren't you going to help him!?" She yells, a little shocked by this.

"What's the point? We're up here, the Infected are heading his way and by the time we get there, he'll either be dead or ran away and we risk getting bit because of it." The lead security guard tells him, taking a puff while the other one looks at him, but nods nervously.

"But he's still alive! He needs help!" She yells at them, looking at him. "What made you save us!?"

"You had a group and we knew you were coming." He tells her, taking another drag while she continued to yell, but starting to feel annoyed and guilty.

Meanwhile, Naruto is sitting in the meeting room that use to be the electronics store. He kept apologising to Taylor as he discusses with the leading groups about what they should do now, but Taylor kept ignoring him, too angry and focused on the job in hand.

Taylor appears to be the leader of them all, suggesting on securing the mall once and for all since they've got more numbers, but running low on ammunition. Raiden is suggesting in trying to round more people up from the area, believing there are more out there that need to be saved. Ethan is agreeing to this, but he wants them to check on the street which they left four people behind, still unsure if they're still alive or there. The Doctor known as Ryan who really didn't look like a doctor since he was 6'2 and muscular, he suggested in getting medical supplies from a local surgery that he knows, in order to help the three they brought in and the elderly woman that was getting sicker by being overdue for a blood transfusion that should have it. The black officer known as Officer Hall suggests just checking the underground parking lot to obtain transport to take everyone to the docks where he believes there are everything they need and soldiers, but Raiden informs him that there isn't anymore and Naruto tells that Atticus mentioned that the blockade to the east was still holding before the radio went out.

They look at each other, trying to plan out what they should do.
