Woah, you guys are absolutely wonderful! I've actually decided to start doing thanks at the bottom of every other chapter, so it can be skipped if necessary.
But beyond that, thank you all so much for reading, and I hope you enjoy these next two short bits! (:
10. Shampoo
Chelsea always smelled like strawberries and cream.
Her husband always thought it was the most bizarre thing at first; it was almost as though she was doing it without trying, like breathing—she just pure and precious, two things that Vaughn associated very well with both strawberries and cream, which made sense to him. Chelsea was beauty and purity in his eyes, after all. It made sense that she smell like that, too.
When he held the farmer close at night, his nose pressed to her hair, the scent of cream caught heavy in his nose, it brought pleasant memories to his thoughts, leaving him with a warm wife in his arms and enjoyable dreams throughout the star cycle.
When he found the strawberries and cream shampoo behind the shower curtain one morning, he wasn't the least bit surprised.
Massive thanks to...
umbreonix: I'm glad you liked the twist! I think that Chelsea being afraid of everything is really cliche so I wanted to mix it up a bit; besides, Vaughn being afraid of thunder was just too adorable to resist!
MoonSword1994: Thank you! There's actually a back-story to Vaughn's fear of thunder, but that's a story for a different theme... ;)
Kouhaixsempai: Thank you so much! :)
