Ten

Blake's POV

We heard Jessie shout no. Tyler, Tee, Charlie and I all looked at each other. We shrugged and headed up the stairs meeting Carmen, Johnny and Harry on the way. Floss was already there.

When we got there Charlie froze. "Aunt..." he said. "You have nerve showing up here," he said. Tee, Carmen and I all looked at each other. This was Jessie and Josh's mum. The person who had abused them.

"Shut up Charlie," Josh said.

"please Josh, just ask her to speak to me. Please. And then I'll leave and never come back," their mum said. She turned to Charlie. "You've grown up Charlie Thomas. Where are your sisters?" she asked.

We all pulled faces as we were pretty sure Charlie didn't want to talk about it. "Charlie, take Aunt to the quiet room. I'll go get Jessie. Then everything can be explained," Josh said. Charlie nodded and led her to the quiet room.

"that was your mum?" I asked.

"what's she doing here?" Tee asked. Josh motioned to be silent so we did.

"Later," he said heading upstairs. When Jessie and Josh came back down we all just watched them. I could tell Rick was anxious.

I heard a voice down the corridor. It was Megan. "Ha. You have no idea how easy it is to fool them," she said. I frowned and walked towards her, who was heading to the kitchen. "Rick," she said next. Alarm bells rang and I grabbed Rick's arm as he walked past and dragged him towards the kitchen.

"What's going on?" he asked.

I put my fingers on my lips and listened closely. "they have no idea what's hit them. This plan is going to work," Megan said. I frowned. Megan walked out the kitchen and I looked at Rick.

"I have no idea but we need to be on our guard," I said. He nodded and we headed outside. "She said something about you and a plan so Rick you just need to be on your guard." I added. He looked towards the house and then back at me. "she'll be fine," I said knowing he was concerned about Jessie. He looked at me suspiciously and I nodded. "Seriously. Charlie and Josh are in there and they will not let anything happen to her." Rick nodded.

"you better be right," he said. I smiled hoping I was. I was worried as well but less so as it wasn't my girlfriend.

'And speaking of the devil and they will appear,' I thought as Elektra appeared in front of me. "Hi," I said. She smiled and sat down next to me.

"What's going on? I've missed loads haven't I?" she asked. We shrugged and nodded.

"yeah," Rick said. "Although we are all not 100% clear on everything" he explained. We quickly ran through what we knew and Elektra just sat there in silence.

"that's awful," she said. We nodded. Holly and her sister Lily came out the house.

"they've just come out the quiet room," Lily said. We all jumped up and hurtled inside. We all stood in the doorway as their mum left. Once the front door closed we threw questions at them.

"What happened? Is she coming back?" I asked. Jessie just rolled her eyes.

"Shut up!" she said quietly. We all did. "We'll explain just go into the living room," she said. We all hurried in. I sat on the sofa next to Jody and Elektra with Holly perched on the arm. Jessie, Josh and Charlie all sat at the table looking at us.

"Well our mum is out of prison if you hadn't already guessed," Josh said. "So we explained about Charlie's... situation. And mum told us she was sorry and the reasoning behind it which we are not going to repeat. She has said if we want to see her we can but she won't push us or come back here unless we want it," Josh finished. Jessie nodded.

"And I don't want to see her so I never will," Jessie and Charlie said at the same time. They looked at each other and smile.

"and Josh?" I asked.

He shrugged. "I don't know," he said. "I really don't know." Everyone dispersed after that and Jessie, Josh and Charlie followed me and Rick to our room.

"So what is the reason?" Rick asked.

"She was depressed and couldn't control her mood swings," Jessie said bitterly and in a tone which suggests she doesn't believe it. Josh rolled his eyes.

"Come on Jessie, you saw the doctors note," Josh said. Jessie's eyes flashed angrily.

"then why didn't they claim depression when on trial. Because she wasn't. That doctors note said she had depression. That could have been when she was in prison and she's using it to con us," Jessie said. I watched as Rick wrapped his arms around her. Charlie was nodding in agreement. Josh just didn't speak up.

"you just don't like her Jess," he finally said.

Jessie glared at him. "would you?" she said quickly pulling her shirt off and showing us the marks on her back and front.

A/N: oh dear there is trouble ahead for the twins. Is there mum's appearance going to cause a split in opinion? My new years resolution was to finish this story and I've just finished writing it so I'm going to upload the other chapters. Indie :)
