Trunks POV

I relished in seeing my father laughing and smiling. My father has had so much pain in his life already and just seeing him happy made me. I didn't get to meet him and spend time with him when I was a child so it made me happy to be in his presence. Before I knew it a tear fell down my cheek. a small hand caught it.

" What's the matter Trunks?"

My father asked me in such an innocent voice. I said nothing and rubbed his hair. He giggled before yanking my hand, I knew he wanted to go somewhere. He told mom we would be out for a bit so don't worry. Once we were outside we took flight.

" I want to show you something Trunks! It's really awesome."

" Ha! Okay dad lets go!"

His merry laugh rang through the winds and we finally stopped flying. It was a small oasis, far from civilization. Vegeta proceeded to walk around before he waved me over. It was a huge lake, with crystal clear water. He wanted to swim.

" Come one Trunks! Don't tell me you don't like water?" He teased.

As he was taking off shirt and pants I pushed him into the water. He fell in with loud splash. I cracked up in laughter and he resurfaced with a growl. It was war between father and son. A small hand yanked my ankle and I fell into the water while Vegeta smirked at me.

" Now what trunks! Can't swim?"

I swam beneath him and pushed him high into the air. His scream echoed and scared a few birds away before he landed with a hard slap. I knew that had to hurt. His body sank into the water slowly and then he popped back up. His chest was red and sore looking.

I only had a second before he tackled me into the water and we wrestled for quite a bit. We were having fun, until my phone rang. I answered it and heard Gotens worried voice. Someone came to earth and they weren't friendly.

" What's wrong trunks? "

Vegeta was a bit scared. I've never been so serious and I just grabbed his wrist and wrapped my jacket around him before we flew away, I left his clothes. He squirmed in my arms before pushing out of them and flying beside me.

" W-what's wrong! Tell me I'm scared!" He shouted.

A few tears gathered in his eyes. I sighed and grabbed his hand. He looked at me with watery eyes.

" A villain is here on Earth. Goku and everyone is there now we must hurry!"

He nodded fearfully and we found them in no time. The person was tall, bulky and had the most evil grin on his face. His red hair framed his face to give it a mysterious look. Goku and Gohan were the protectors as of now seeing as piccolo wasn't here yet. My mother was hidden behind a huge rock. Vegeta trembled behind me.

" G-Gohan! I'm scared!"

Vegeta stepped towards him and then took off into a sprint. He ran into Gohan and hugged his waist. Goten came up to stand next to me and he was already in super saiyan. Gohan looked at Vegeta and then at me with anger. I was confused.

" Trunks! Why would you bring Vegeta?! He's not ready!"

The villain looked at Gohan and at the little figure behind him. Quickly he disappeared and reappeared. Next to Vegeta. He smirked and tapped his shoulder, smiling when Vegeta backed away.

" Now...who's this little guy? By the way instead of staring at me ask my name. It's Dan."

Vegeta held my jacket closer to him as Dan looked him up and down. A blush grew on his face.

" S-stop staring at me!"

Vegeta angrily shouted. Dan took a step closer to him and Goku IT in front of Vegeta. He growled in anger.

" Listen, can you quit it staring at MY son?!"

Vegeta smiled. It always felt great to be called his son. That feeling snaked as a warm fuzzy feeling came over his body. It felt looked like he was growing. A shout rang from his mouth and he dropped to a knee. Nobody noticed the pink hue around Dan's eyes or his thirty smirk.

" Oh my kami! Vegeta are you okay? What's wrong?"

He was growing. A bright light over came his body and he stopped yelling. He was older around eighteen. He was still in my jacket and his clothes grew with him. A monstrous blush grew on his face as he looked down.

" Holy mother of-"

" Such naughty words for a pretty face."

Vegeta growled and tied my jacket around his waist before stomping up to Dan with bravery. He's not as strong as he was before but we all knew how a teenager could be. Vegeta was a lot shorter than Dan but he still stepped up.

" Listen here, DAN. I don't know what type of sick fuck you are but perving on me is not the way to go."

Vegeta poked him in the chest before turning around and wrapping his tail around his waist. I thought he would've been killed by Dan or something. Gohan looked completely dumbfounded. Vegeta huffed and flashed Dan the finger.

" Vegeta is it? Why the harsh words? Here I am talking kindly and you are yelling."

Again a pink hue swirled in his irises and Vegeta felt a pull. Just as he made a step Gohan grabbed his hand. He pushed Vegeta behind him.

" So you mind control huh? Not original I must say. Goten keep an eye out for Vegeta, we have a little situation."

Gohan flailed into super saiyan and charged at Dan with ferociousness. Dan dodged about every attack while adding in his own. I decided to help my mentor and dove in with him. Using my sword we worked together but nothing worked. A kick to the head ended my on the ground and my blade in half. While Gohan used many combinations of punches and kicks.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Vegeta struggling against Goten.

" Trunks, look out! No!"

Vegetas warning came too late and my face was slammed into the ground. I've been hit only a few times but that Dan was super strong. Darkness clouded my vision.

Vegeta POV

I saw Trunks faint and tears flooded my eyes. I yelled for Goten to let me go as I saw Gohan flying into Dads( remember he didn't get his memory!) arms from a kick. He dropped out of super saiyan. I froze my power level and forced myself out of Gotens arms.

" Gohan! Please stop fighting!"

I saw Dan flying towards Gohan and I shielded his body with my own once I saw dad flying out to get him. I held in my shout when I felt his fist in my back. A few tears slid down my face from the pain and when I saw Gohans bruised body. I landed on my knees and sat him up on a rock. He groaned in pain.

" No gohan you're ok. Ill fix you right up just stay awake."

My hands trembled as I ripped trunks jacket and wrapped Gohans wounds. His face was in a grimace before he opened his eyes. I hugged him tightly, careful of his wounds though, and chuckled a bit in happiness.

" V-Vegeta? You n-need to get o-out of here!"

I shook my head no. While Dan was busy with dad I lifted Gohan onto my back and tried to find a hiding place. He was very heavy and I struggled to carry him. I saw Mom waving her hands toward me and I quickly flew over to her. She looked frightened.

" Oh Gohan! Vegeta you shouldn't see this. I know what to do. I have a sensu bean."

Mom gave Gohan the tiny bean and his wounds instantly disappeared. My eyes flooded with relief. He wasn't going to die and he was going to be okay. But then I thought of Dan. He was going to pay, and ill make sure of it.

I ripped the sleeved off of Trunks jacket and charged my power up. Mom laid a hand on my shoulder. I could tell she was worried.

" Vegeta don't go out there. You'll get killed!"

I didn't heed her warning and gave her a smirk.

" If dad taught me anything it was to help others even if you risk your own life. Trunks fainted, Gohan you're tired and dad and Goten need help! I'm helping whether you want me to or not."

With that I took off to my first fight of my life.
