Hannah's Database

Karrie: SHE LIVES!

Me: College life is hard, especially when you're a science major and even more so when you decide to also add on a writing minor.

Sarah: Getting graded on a hobby? Sounds...well...sounds like it could be great but also horrible

Me: It's really fun, but also pure torture at the same time

Nick: how is that possible?

Me: I don't know, it just is.

Hannah: Thought you'd never come back

Me: trust me, I've wanted to for so long but I couldn't because then I'd be procrastinating big time.

Teah: *flips through a file* who's next anyways?

Me: *takes file* Laurie.

Karrie: pokelover0ash owns nothing but her OCs and hopefully will write a lot to make up for lost time.

Me: Don't put that kind of pressure on me, this is supposed to be relaxing for me.

10. Laurie and Todd

An explosion sounded and coughing soon followed. The smoke detector's light blinked as the fire alarms blared in the Ranger Union building in Almia. The sprinkler system was activated and everyone was scrambling to salvage things and minimize damage. Keith ran to the source with his buizel as Kellyn directed foot traffic.

Laurie landed with one of dragonites who worked for the Dragonite Travel Service outside the building. Her shoulders slumped as she noticed the chaos occurring at her workplace and home. Todd was carting around spare parts and robots while Isaac huddled with his computer.

"What happened?" Laurie asked.

"All I know is that it wasn't Luana cooking," Isaac replied.

"The smoke came from one of the tech labs, the one by the kitchen," Todd said. "Someone is going to make it worst by using water, I just know it."

"My money is on Keith to make it worse," Isaac said as he typed.

"I bet it will be Jackie," Todd commented. Laurie moved towards the entrance. "Don't be reckless."

"I can fix it," Laurie replied. "Besides, it will be Murph, no contest." A louder explosion went off. Screams are heard.

"Murph!" Sven shouted. Laurie smiled and Isaac held out a five dollar bill. Laurie snatched it and Todd sighed as he dug out a few crumbled up bills from his pocket. He handed the money to Laurie. Laurie grinned and ran into the building.

"Why does she always have to be right?" Todd asked.

"She's just more familiar with how each ranger is with technology." Isaac replied.

Laurie ran past Kellyn and towards a slightly burnt Keith.

"What are you doing here?" Keith asked.

"To help," Laurie replied. "Fire extinguishers?" Keith held up a large one. "Good." Keith kicked open the door and started to spray. Coughing and spitting started and Keith stopped. Covered in foam was Karrie. "I should have known."

"Kare? What are you doing? Looking like Santa like that?" Keith asked. Karrie glared at him as her emolga struggled out of a foam pile.

"You made me look like this," Karrie replied.

"What happened?" Laurie asked.

"I was using the computer to review things before my next mission," Karrie replied. "It was being slow and froze on me. Next thing I know, it exploded."

"Right, forgot about you and technology," Keith commented as he looked at the destroyed computer in question. Sparks were flying from the system and it was barely recognizable. Laurie examined the computer, from the stray wires in the monitor to the actual computer with the motherboard. Laurie pulled out a burnt cheeto.

"Found what was causing you issues, Karrie," Laurie said.

"Oh, so that's where that one went," Keith commented.

"No eating in the tech room!" Laurie exclaimed.

"How did that make it explode?" Karrie asked.

"You tech gurus do it all the time!" Keith exclaimed.

"They're not supposed to!" Laurie replied. "And Karrie, tech things explode when you try to fix them, no matter what it is or how simple it is."

"Fair enough," Karrie said.

"Karrie! It was you?!" Kellyn exclaimed as he ran into the room. Karrie blushed and rested fists on her hips.

"In my defense, I was left unsupervised," Karrie replied.

"Interesting, as always," Laurie replied. "Soon I'll get my own profile on Hannah's thing."

"Yay! I won't be alone!" Karrie exclaimed. "I was wondering when more of the Ranger isles would get representation."

"If Keith ever finds that database, then you're screwed," Laurie commented.

"If I find out about what now?" Keith asked.

"Nothing!" Karrie exclaimed, her voice almost squeaking. Laurie giggled.

"Hopefully you'll find out one day," Laurie said and Keith blinked. After awhile, Keith shrugged his shoulders and went on doing his own thing.

"Laurie, you like pasta?" Todd asked as he poked his head out of a room.

"I love it," Laurie replied.

"Out of everything profiles talks about, you're most interested in the food part?" Karrie asked.

"Well, there wasn't a robot section or invention section," Todd replied.

"I'm supposed to be the one focused on food," Karrie complained.

"Maybe we should go to the cafeteria," Laurie said. "Food sounds like a good idea right now." Her two best friends nodded and made their way to the cafeteria.

Each member of the trio took a plate full of food to a table. Karrie almost immediately begins to shovel food into her mouth as soon as she sits down. Todd begins to eat the small portion of food in front of him.

"You barely eat anything," Laurie commented.

"This is why you're almost a skeleton," Karrie added.

"Karrie just eats for twelve," Todd replied.

"When you're done, try to go back and grab more food to eat," Laurie said. "You probably missed last meal."

"I actually have been eating breakfast," Todd replied.

"This is why Laurie is the mother of the friend group," Karrie said before munching on food. Todd's jaw clenched.

"I don't need her to be my mother," Todd replied. Laurie's brown eyes glistened a little. Todd swallowed hard before quietly making his next comment: "I liked our shipping name." Laurie's eyes widened as Karrie started to choke. Keith walked up from behind Karrie and gave her a few strong pats on the back to help her out.

"What?" Laurie asked. Keith rested his hands on the table, his body over Karrie's. Keith's frame made Karrie look even smaller as well as feminine. Karrie began to turn bright red.

"The shipping, I like it," Todd replied while blushing.

"Wait, is this how you nerds confess?" Keith asked. Karrie elbowed Keith. "Owie."

"You looked at the shipping part?" Laurie asked, her voice squeaking.

"Of course," Todd replied. "I like to thoroughly look through things." Laurie blushed.

"That's what she said," Keith commented.

"I'm going to murder you," Karrie replied.

"I liked the name of our shipping too," Laurie said and Todd blushed.

"Aw," Keith commented as he rested his hands on top of Karrie's head. "Hey Kare, would you like the shipping of us?" Karrie's face soon matched Keith's hair.

"I like the shipping of Laurie and Todd best," Karrie replied.

"Karrie!" Laurie exclaimed as both her and Todd continued to blush.

"Kare," Keith whined. "That doesn't answer my question."

"That's the best answer you're going to get," Karrie replied.

~end of chapter~

Teah: so, does this mean Todd and Laurie are getting together?

Laurie: Well, this could have been worse

Sakura: you did two for this chapter

Me: decided to combine two so that it was less chapters and so that I could make a longer chapter

Karrie: I was in it!

Todd: You continue to be horrible with technology. How are we even friends?

Karrie: School

Laurie: Would you have her be different?

Todd: No...it wouldn't be the same if I didn't have a dummy to test my inventions

Karrie: Hey! I'm not a dummy!

Todd: Test dummy. Someone who if can operate and not break my invention will let me known that it can be used by the average person with little worries.

Karrie: So mean

Laurie: It's true though

Me: Anyways, please review!

Teah: Remember you can ask any character any question at anytime
