Turn 9 Mao's Game

I wake up the next day and head out. Its 8:05 better start heading to the classroom. I head towards class but I began having a buzzing noise go off in my mind. I stop and run out of the academy to see who's giving me a headache. Well bravo I didn't think anyone could sense me said a man clapping. Who are you I said. Oh i'm sorry my name is Mao and welcome to my game. I have a bomb set to go off in 48 hours and there's clues to get to the bomb and you have to do it all by yourself. Ill give you the first clue for a sporting chance. Here it is its in the form of a riddle to get to the next to clue until eventually you get the clue to the location of the bomb. The game starts in 2 hours you might want to decide to begin deciphering that riddle He said laughing a leaving behind a card which I pick up.

I'm in a quiet place one where loud noise is distracting also i'm stuck in a cramped space so where do you think I am. Ok a quiet place loud noise is distracting and cramped space. There's three libraries in the city two are huge but the third is stuck between two buildings its at that library I know it. I run for the city toward the library that's cramped. While running toward the library I kept thinking I hope i'm right.

I get to the library and start looking for the card its not outside damn its inside. I walk inside and start looking through the books. I finally reach the v section and see a piece of paper in a book called vehicles. I see you found me now you want me to show you the riddle ok then. I'm in a loud place where quiet is rare also i'm free as a bird so where do you think I am. Let me think hmm somewhere loud and free the port of course but that's at the other side of the city. I run at top speed towards the port where the clue is. I get there now where is it damn its going to be out in the water isn't. I look out into the water and see a capsule which must be waterproof I take off my jacket take out my cell phone and wallet and jump in.

I swim toward the capsule for the clue. I get the capsule and start swimming back to shore. I get back and climb back up where I put on my jacket along with putting my wallet and phone in my jacket pockets. I open the capsule to see what it says. I see you succeeded again you might want to throw that capsule. I throw the capsule into the water and run towards cover behind some metal crates 25 feet away. The capsule blows up destroying parts of the port throwing shrapnel and tossing water into the air for it to rain down. Damn that Mao is a crazy bastard.

I look at the clue and read it. I'm at a populated place where I tower over almost all so find me if you can. Damn i'm tired from swimming and running. I tower over almost all a populated place. I walk into the tower and start going to the top of the tower. I look out off the tower and see a card on a eagle statue a mile down the street on a building. Shit I can't get there without equipment damn that Mao I said. I look around the rooftop to find some equipment. I find a bag and I open it to find a white outfit with a helmet and a wingpack. I put on the outfit and the helmet and take the wingpack to the edge and put it on. I'm really going jump.

Where's Rai anyone Milly asked. We don't know he wasn't at class today said Shirley. Suzaku Rivalz Lelouch Kallen Shirley Nina Nunnally and Milly look at each other worried. Well maybe we should turn on the tv said Rivalz turning it on. Today there's been an explosion at the port good thing is no one was hurt said the reporter. What a explosion at the port said Kallen. This just in a man has been spotted on top of Tokyo tower with a helmet and visor covering his face and hair we take you to our reporter on the news chopper. Thank you yes as all of you can see this man is about to jump off Tokyo tower. We don't know who he is due to what he's wearing nor do we know what's on his back wait he just jumped. He did what said the student council.

It's been 10 hours since I began this game. Wait is that a news chopper. Damn Mao is probably watching this now. Well no stopping me now fools. I jump off and spread out my wings. I soar toward the eagle statue all the while the news chopper keeping its eye on me. I land on the eagle statue and grab the clue and put it in my pocket so it won't fly away. I jump from the eagle statue and soar through the city towards the warehouse district. I dodge through the building to lose the chopper. Damn it isn't working maybe one of these smoke grenades. I grab one of five smoke grenades and throw one up. It explodes and spreads the smoke across the sky above.

What's this the man has landed on a eagle statue. He's picking up something and put it in a pocket. Just who is that man said Rivalz. He's seems like a daredevil said Milly. Milly don't say things like that said Shirley. Wait he just jumped off the statue and is soaring through the city. We are on him for all of you viewers out there. The chopper follows the man keeping its camera on him. Wait the man has just thrown a grenade upward we are going to dodge around the grenade so we don't get hit. The chopper dodges the grenade and it explodes releasing smoke. Ladies and gentlemen we dodged the grenade but it turned out to be a smoke grenade. Who is that man flying said Lelouch. Folks we are scanning the area around the smoke but we have lost the man so back to our reporter at the station. Is anyone wanting to know who that person is said Nunnally said. Yeah I think all of us are Nana Shirley said.

I crash through the roof of a empty warehouse. Ouch that hurt time to take off this pack. I throw it off the pack and pull out the card. I see you have me now here's the way to find me. I live in a dark place in a low area also I hate Britannia now come find me. The ghettos of course but in a tunnel the ghetto next to the settlement. I take off the outfit and put on my ashford uniform while keeping the other four smoke grenades. I head off to the Shinjuku ghetto to find the clue. I only have 36 hours left until that bomb goes off. I pick up speed and start winding through the city to get to the ghetto. I get to the ghetto in two hours and head into the tunnel.

I search for the clue and its dark which makes it hard to see. I see a lamp and matches. I light the lamp and i'm able to see the tunnel. I walk through the tunnel and run into Mao. You have done well making it to the halfway point Mao said. Halfway point then i'm getting close to the final clue that will lead me to the bomb I said. Yes I set this game up to where you can win he said. So your not just here to tell me i'm halfway there are you I said. No I have a opponent for the next clue now goodbye and have fun he said walking off pressing a button on a truck.

A seven foot tall giant steps out of the truck with a massive mace. Where is puny man that put me in here he said. Are you talking about the person called Mao I said. Another puny man I hate puny men so I smash he said swinging his mace downward. I dodge the mace but the shockwave hits me and sends me flying into the wall. Damn that hurt this isn't going to be easy I said. Puny man think he can defeat me the champion of the hold. I stand up and look at the giant well your going to be my strongest opponent in a long time I said. Then lets dance Puny man the giant said. I run at him and jump against the wall while he swings his mace toward me and I jump over the swing to his shoulders. Now then time for some pain Giant I said. Punching the giant in the head. He smashes me into a wall by walking backward. My grip starts to loosen and I fall slamming into the ground.

I look around the place looking for a weapon. I see a spear like weapon and dagger like weapon. I run for the weapons and grab them putting the dagger on my belt and the spear in my hands. I throw a grenade at him and it explodes halfway between us. I charge towards him and I sense him swinging down. I slide and stab the giant in the chest. His swing crashes into the ground missing me entirely. I jump on the wall and then on him pulling out the dagger. I stab my opponent about 10 times before slitting his throat and finally stabbing my weapon into his skull. He falls down and I walk toward the truck. I grab the clue and exited the tunnel into the ghetto. I sit down against a wall and looked at the clue.

I live in ruin from your past you the one in pursuit better find me fast times running out. How long do I have 28 hours. I was down there for eight hours I can't rest now. I get up and head out toward the city while thinking of the clue. I think its that hotel that's nothing but rubble. I start running toward the rubble hotel. My body can't take much more abuse. I arrive at what used to be a hotel. I start looking around and see the clue at the other side of the rubble. I walk carefully through the rubble and grab the clue. I then went to the park nearby. I looked down at the clue to see what it says.

Where can that be hmm casinos there's two that aren't fancy that leaves the one 4 miles away from ashford. I get up and run toward the casino to get the clue. Damn if I get into another fight I don't think my body will hold up. I arrive at the casino and go inside. I walk around trying to find the clue when. Sir come with me we have been waiting for you the casino man said. He motions me toward a elevator and the both of us enter. He presses the top floor button.

So what is this about I asked. A man said you would be arriving in 48 hours yesterday and paid my boss in the hundreds of thousands He said. Ok did the man leave a card behind I asked. Yes he did and my boss hasn't opened it he said. The elevator stops and the doors open. My guide walks forward and I follow. Well I thought that man just gave me money for nothing. So your the boss of this casino I asked. Yes I am kid now how about a game of chess with a 30 second timer he said. Sure then I get the card correct I said. Yes that you do and you get to walk out of the door without any trouble. I heard that noblemen weren't very honorable when it comes to people beating them in any game I said. Well its true but i'm different I have honor. Do you know the way of bushido bossman I said.

Yes bushido the way of the samurai I follow it alittle and the name is Victor he said. Well Victor how about we play a game of chess now I said. Sure kid do you want anything to drink I have some soda water and tea Victor said. Ill take a soda Victor I said sitting down in a chair with the black pieces. Victor opens a fridge and grabs two cans then walks over and hands me a soda and sits down across from me. Thanks Victor i've been parched for a few hours now I said opening the soda and take a drink from it and its a coke. Your welcome kid wait before we start what's your name he said. I put down the soda and say sorry my names Rai Victor I said. Rai now that's not a kind a name I thought I was going to hear Victor said. Do you hate the Japanese Victor I asked. No I don't they are Japanese no matter what we do he said. Well that's something rare but lets get to the game of chess I said. Yeah its Rai and lets begin.

We move our pieces in 20 seconds and taking piece for piece until I started cornering him into one corner of the board. He only has one rook his king a knight and a bishop. I take his rook and he surrenders. Nice game Rai you are a chess master Victor said. Well thanks Victor now can I have the card I asked. Yes here you go he said handing me a card. Thanks Victor you were a great opponent I said. Same to you Rai now go forth and do what you have to do Victor said. Thanks for the everything Victor I said taking another soda he offered. I went out of the casino and sat on a bench to look at the clue.

I see that you have me the clue to find the last clue. I am in green fields with blue skies also I can only be reached by using a vehicle. I need to go outside Tokyo but first I need to head to base. I finish my soda and throw the can away then started running to the base. I reach the base and enter to head to get my motorcycle. I put on my helmet and visor then got on my bike and drove out of the base. I started driving southward to where green fields and hills are. I pass through traffic by dodging and weaving. I punch my nitro and reach 160mhp to get out of the city faster. I get out of the city and continue southward to get the last clue. I drive south for 6 hours and arrive at shack. I pull over and get off my bike. I go into the shack and find the clue.

I am the bomb clue to find it figure out what this means. I lay underground where I await the fate dealt by the universe. I'm under where you finished but began. I only have 18 hours to get rid of this bomb. I hop on my motorcycle and drive back to the city. I'm not gonna have enough time so I punch my double nitro button which pushes my bikes speed to 200mhp. I arrive at the base in 4 hours and put my motorcycle back along with my helmet and visor. I run out of the base and back to ashford. I head to the elevator in the clubhouse and head down into the sewers. I look at my watch 12 hours left before it goes off.

I run through the sewers and turn right and see the bomb. I'm directly under ashford academy damn that Mao. I run toward the bomb to see what I need to do. Goddamn he's set up the elements of the planet as the key. I need to put each element that is the opposite of it. There's fire water earth air light and darkness its going to be tough since this is only the first step. I place water first second is fire third is earth the fourth is air then light and finally darkness unlocking the first lock.

Next is history of blood so its about war. The war that was bloody for Britannia and Japan a few decades ago what was it called. 12 year war 11 year war 13 year war 10 year war. Its the 11 year war that was bloody for both of those countries. I unlocked the second plate and move onto the third. Ok what's the third about. mechanical stuff now lets put this to the test. There's metal parts for me to use. I look at the insert point to figure out what I need to build. I start building what I need and in 1 hour I have it ready. I look at my watch to see how much time I have. I only have 9 hours to get rid of this bomb. I put my key into the bomb and it unlocks some wheels on the bomb. I start to move it while looking at the fourth plate to unlock.

I need to punch in a number from game that's famous and evil. Okay I need to keep taking this bomb out of the city. Ok a game that is famous and evil at the same time. There's only a few games I can think of that can have the number I need. Its a casino game so evil very evil devilishly evil. That's it its roulette or its more famous and evil name the devil's game. The number I need to punch in is 666. I punch it in and the fourth plate is unlocked and the fifth and last plate.

I have seven and a half hours to get rid of the bomb. I push the bomb out into the open at the port. I look around for a fishing boat and find one. I push the bomb to the boat. I put on a hat and sunglasses to hid my identity. I get on the boat with the bomb and turn on the engine and punched the throttle forward. I turn my attention to the bomb to get rid of the last plate. I have 6 1/2 hours before goes off. It takes putting together several keys to unlock it. I start building keys to put them into the 5 keyholes. After I get done with the fourth one when I look at the time have 30 minutes. The engine dies as I look at my watch. I jump off the boat and start swimming away towards land. I'm several miles away from shore when the bomb goes off. I see a metal island that is just a metal strut holding up a piece of metal for me to get on. I hop up on the island and watch the sun.

Damn that was close man I said. I wait a few hours for a news chopper to show up. What's taking so long for the news chopper to get here. I wait until 5:00pm watching the sun. I finally hear chopper blades in the distance. It took them long enough to get here for the news I said. The chopper goes over the boat wreckage and circled around the wreckage.

Is everyone here Milly asked. Everyone except for Rai who's been gone for nearly 3 days now Kallen said. Where is that member of ours Milly said. We don't know but since strange things have been happening why don't we turn on the tv Rivalz said turning on the tv. Today we have another set of reports of the strange occurrences. First is the giant body that the police found in Shinjuku ghetto's tunnel. He had multiple fatal wounds and a piece of metal stabbed into ok cover the younger audience's ears this part is disgusting. I'm on it said Lelouch walking over to Nunnally and covering her ears. Now since you have had 2 minutes to do that the piece of metal was stabbed into the giant's skull puncturing the brain. All of you that just threw up sorry its the truth.

Now on to the next report from our reporter in the field. I'm over a wreckage of a boat. Where we have found no one alive or dead so we don't know how the boat blew up. Wait was this I think see a man on one of the metal islands. Yes its a man and he's waving his hand at us. We can't see his face do to it being covered by sunglasses and a hat. Now that I look closer he's wearing a ashford academy uniform. We are going to land and talk to him to see what happened. The chopper lands on the island and turns off. Sir do you know what happened.

I look upward at the chopper as it head towards me. I pull out my voice modifier and put it around my neck. I set it to have a slightly lower tone of voice. The chopper landed and the reporter and the cameraman run toward me. Sir do you know what happened asked the reporter. Yes I do know what happened here you see for the past few days i've been trying to get the codes to a bomb and no i'm not a terrorist. I got the codes 16 hours ago and headed for the location of the bomb that I got with the codes got out in some fields south of Tokyo. I arrived at the bombs area with 12 hours to get rid of it. You and your entire audience is wondering where was the bomb am I correct well it was right below ashford academy.

What did he just say a bomb was right beneath us said the council. The bomb would have taken out the entire academy and about 3 blocks also. That's horrifying do you know who set the bomb. Yes I do it's a Chinese madman named Mao but he set up a game with clues to the bomb's codes location. I've been getting those clues all around Tokyo the past few days. I was the man that jumped off the Tokyo tower to grab one of those clues. After putting in 3 of 5 codes to defuse the bomb I started moving the bomb out towards the port. I put in the fourth code and finally arrived at the port. I put the bomb on the boat and got on and put it in full throttle.

I didn't put in the last code fast enough so I jumped off the boat and swam away. It blew up and I ended up on this island. So you saved many lives from this madman Mao. No I didn't all I did was saving my fellow students I finished. Do I need to say it you heard it here folks this man is a hero. Great i've become a hero not what I wanted. Now we go back to the home reporter.

Who was that man was all that true of what he said Shirley said. Most likely Shirley most likely Lelouch said. How do you know Lelouch asked Milly. I don't know just from how he said it its most likely true Lelouch said. If so that man saved us all said Suzaku. Its strange how that man was the one that jumped off Tokyo tower. I don't know how anyone could take it into their hands to do something insane said Nina. True but thanks to him we didn't blow up said Rivalz.

Can I get on the chopper with you I asked. Of course you can said the reporter. I get on the chopper and we fly back to Tokyo. I get off and head towards home. I need to take off these accessories. I run into a alley near ashford and take off my hat and sunglasses. I head back out of the alley and meet Mao. I see you succeeded in beating my game my good sir but you said my name on tv. Well I didn't give them a description of you so you don't have to worry I said. True you didn't but your body is pushed to its limits he said walking away.

My vision starts going out. No I need to get back to ashford. I walk to the academy while my body is in major pain. I get there and it starts raining. I walk toward the clubhouse with my body breaking down my vision coming in and out. I reach the clubhouse and open the door. My body gives out and I fall to the floor with a bang. My vision is coming in and out.

What was that said Kallen. Sayoko comes into the council room. Everyone come quick its terrible Sayoko said. What's terrible Sayoko asked Milly. Just follow me everyone please Sayoko said running toward the entrance. Everyone lets go that's an order from your council president Milly said. All of them ran out of the room toward the entrance where Sayoko went. They all get to the entrance hall and see a man at the door. Is that Rai Kallen said running forward.

My vision is still coming in and out. My hearing fine but I can't move. I hear a thunder of footsteps coming down the stairs. Is that Rai said Kallen. I look upward and see everyone standing there. Kallen runs forward and drops to the floor and picking me up. Rai are you okay Rai Kallen said hugging me. Kallen i'm kinda okay I said before losing conscience. Rai Rai stay with me Kallen said starting to cry. All the others come over to see how Rai is doing. Lelouch kneels down and checks for a pulse. Rai's alive but needs rest Lelouch said. Suzaku kneels down and says Kallen can I take Rai to the infirmary here in the clubhouse. Kallen nods letting go of Rai and Lelouch helps Suzaku with getting Rai to the infirmary.

How did Rai get so roughed up Lelouch Suzaku asked. I don't know but he looks really tired like he hasn't slept in days Lelouch said. Why hasn't he slept in days Lelouch. I don't know but it could be related to the person that saved us from the bomb Lelouch said. So your saying that guy that saved us had Rai's help for these past few days Suzaku said. Just a possibility Suzaku you noticed it too right that man was beyond tired when he was interviewed by the news so both Rai and the one that saved us hadn't gotten a single wink of sleep while the threat of the bomb was around Lelouch said. That's crazy for them to beat a madman without any sleep Suzaku said. Yeah isn't but we only are speculating Lelouch said. Oh right here's the infirmary said Suzaku as he opened the door. Suzaku puts Rai down on a bed and leaves the room with Lelouch.
