Chapter 10: Obtaining New Power! Naruto vs Nine-Tails
Three months had passed since Naruto's battle at the Five Kage Summit occured and the blonde was not thrilled in the least. Upon returning to the Mountain Graveyard the blonde took immediate notice of the fact his team wasn't there. Turning to Madara for answers, the legendary Uchiha had informed the blonde that Jugo and Suigetsu were in the wind and, not having enough time to grab them both, Karin was most likely in the hands of the Hidden Leaf.
That last one had cost Madara half of his hideout and the jinchuriki the last bit of chakra he had left.
It took Naruto a full month to regain HALF of his chakra and then another month to regain the other half. However, Madara had told him that he would be confined to the hideout for the Fourth Great Ninja War had begun just a few days before he recovered.
Now a full three months later and Naruto was trapped in the Mountain Graveyard. He knew he could bust out at any time, but Madara had left a good amount of White Zetsu clones to keep the blonde from leaving. Naruto knew he could mow down at least ten clones at a time, but in the numbers game the blonde knew he would be overwhelmed quickly.
'Madara is a fool if he didn't think I knew what he was really up to. I know when he gets his hands on the Eight-Tails, then he'll knock me out and extract Nine-Tails from me. That's what he really meant by "lending" him the power of the Nine-Tails.' thought Naruto as he sat in his quarters. 'It's time to cut my ties with the Akatsuki, but I need to get out of here. And with so many White Zetsu clones prowling around that's gonna be damn near impossible without the masked bastard getting here first. I don't hold any illiusions about being able to beat him.'
As Naruto pondered on what to do, a stray thought crossed his mind causing him to smirk.
'I'll just have to force my way out, but first.' thought Naruto as he crossed his legs Indian style and closed his eyes. 'I think it's time I settle my little property dispute with the furball once and for all.' With that idea in mind, Naruto dove into his mindscape.
-Mindscape-
Naruto opened his eyes and found himself standing in the sewer-like interior of his mindscape. Looking toward the walls, the blonde found the familar red pipes along the wall that had his tenant's chakra running through them. Attempting to follow them, he quickly unsheathed his katana and turned on his heels.
"Who's there?" Naruto questioned, but it sounded more like a demand. A dark chuckle reverberated throughout the sewer-like mindscape before a figure walked out of the shadows. Upon seeing the figure, Naruto's eyes widened. The figure had sun kissed blonde hair and three whisker marks on both his cheeks. He wore the same outfit as Naruto himself, but the one difference between the two was that, while Naruto had a cerulean blue left eye and Sharingan right eye, this look-alike had black eyes with red irides.
"Yo." said the Naruto doppelganger with a sadistic grin. Naruto's eyebrows furrowed slightly as he gripped the hilt of his katana tightly.
"Who the hell are you? And why the hell do you look like me?" Naruto questioned his look-alike. The other Naruto chuckled.
"Why don't you take a guess." said the other Naruto. The blonde jinchuriki glared at his look-alike for a few moments before sheathing his katana.
"You're my... dark side." said Naruto causing the doppelganger's sadistic grin to widen.
"Bingo." said Dark Naruto. "And I gotta say that putting the Curse Mark on us was the best thing that snake bastard coulda done. I've enjoyed being at the controls so far. Can you imagine what we would've been like if old "pure, uncorrupted" us remained at the helm?" Naruto turned and began walking deeper into his mindscape.
"We probably would've been a lot happier." said Naruto. Dark Naruto scoffed as he followed after his counterpart.
"And dumb as fuck! Though I suppose you've got a point." said Dark Naruto before rubbing his chin. "Though I wonder if Sakura would love us if we were like that instead of now when we're like this." Naruto stopped and looked at his dark counterpart with a slightly arched eyebrow.
"Sakura doesn't love me. She loves Sasuke and as far as I'm concerned I could care less. Hope she enjoys her time with the bastard because when I get back to the Leaf to kill the civilian council I'll cut him down first... just like I promised." said Naruto. Dark Naruto shrugged.
"Though personally, I have to admit she grew up to be a sexy babe. She might be lacking in the breast department, but I think her all around sexiness more than made up for it." said Dark Naruto. "If I had the chance I would definitely bend her over and fuck her brains o-HRGH!" Dark Naruto was cut off when Naruto suddenly appeared in front of him, grabbed him by the throat and slammed him against the wall of the sewer-like mindscape.
"Don't you fucking dare talk about Sakura like she's a piece of meat! She's more than that! She's a kind and caring young woman who will go to any length to protect the people she loves! Even if that means... killing... them." Naruto trailed off as his eyes widened slightly. Dark Naruto let out a chuckle at Naruto's surprised expression.
"You getting it now, idiot?" asked Dark Naruto drawing the original's attention. "If she really wanted to kill you back then, she would've. However, why do you think she hesitated? She had you. You were vulnerable. All she had to do was drive that poison dipped kunai into your back and that would've been all she wrote for us. But she didn't. Why is that?" Naruto let go of his dark counterpart as he backed away.
"That's ridiculous! She doesn't care about me." said Naruto as he gripped his head. "I still remember the day we did introductions with Kakashi. She liked Sasuke. Her hobby was trying to figure out a way to win Sasuke's heart. She hated me. And her dream was to marry Sasuke and become Mrs. Sakura Uchiha! She never actually said it, but even with how dense I was back then, even I could see that was what she meant!" Dark Naruto gave his original a twisted grin.
"But people can change. We're living proof." said Dark Naruto. "Now that we're a rogue ninja our dream of being Hokage is shot to hell. AS WELL AS OUR CHANCE WITH SAKURA!" Snapping his head up to look at his dark counterpart, Naruto gave him a murderous glare as his right hand became encased in lightning chakra. Running forward, Naruto plunged the Chidori into Dark Naruto's chest.
"SHUT UP!" shouted Naruto as arcing waves of lightning shot out of Dark Naruto's body. It struck the walls and ceiling of the mindscape causing rocks to fly all over the place. Dark Naruto chuckled as he looked at Naruto.
"You can't run from the truth, no matter how hard you try. You still love Sakura..." said Dark Naruto as he slowly faded away. "...And you would return to the Hidden Leaf if it meant being able to hold her in your arms. After all, she is your only light." Naruto took deep breaths as the Chidori faded. Looking at the spot his dark counterpart stood in a few seconds ago, the blonde shook his head before turning and making his way deeper into his mindscape.
-The Cage-
Naruto arrived at the cage containing the Nine-Tailed Fox to find the furball laid down with it's head on it's crossed arms.
"Well, well." said Nine-Tails as he looked at his container. "Why are you here, Naruto? I don't sense the other you. That means you either accepted him, or locked him away to be dealt with later." Naruto glared at his tenant as his right Sharingan eye shifted into it's Mangekyou form. Unzipping his shirt, Naruto pulled his arms out of the sleeves and allowed the shirt to hang around his waist. Immediately, the black swirl-like pattern of the seal on his stomach, which kept the Nine-Tails locked away, appeared as the Uzumaki recalled a conversation he had with Fukasaku.
-Flashback-
Naruto was sitting by the lake near Fukasaku's and Shima's house meditating.
"Naruto-boy." said one Fukasaku as he hopped up on a rock next to Naruto. The blonde Uzumaki opened his eyes and looked at the elder toad.
"What is it, Sage Gramps?" asked Naruto. Fukasaku looked back at the house before looking at Naruto.
"I wanted to give you something which you will need in the foreseeable future." said Fukasaku earning a questioning look from Naruto.
"What is it?" asked Naruto.
"It is..." said Fukasaku as he slapped a hand on the ground and a seal appeared before smoke billowed out.
-Reality-
"Shut up, furball. You and I both know that this has been a long time coming." said Naruto as a sealing array appeared on his right arm and went up to the palm of his hand. Nine-Tails raised his head as Naruto floated up to the paper on the door that had the kanji for "seal" on it. Ripping off the paper, Naruto revealed a swirl-like lock on the door.
"I see. So those toads gave you the key to the seal. You plan to tame my power." said Nine-Tails as he stood up on all fours.
"Hn, not tame." said Naruto as his right hand's fingers began to glow with chakra. Slamming his open palm into his stomach, Naruto twisted the seal until it resembled an open hole like when he sprouted the eighth tail against Itachi. Immediately, the lock began rotating as it unlocked.
"But to take would be the more appropriate response." said Naruto as the lock clicked, signaling it was unlocked. A malicious grin spread across Nine-Tails' face as he pulled a clawed hand back and swung it forward, crashing it into the unlocked cell door and blowing it off it's hinges. Naruto went reeling back from the shockwave before righting himself and landing on the ground.
"Then by all means..." said Nine-Tails as he stepped out of his cell. "TRY AND TAKE IT!" Immediately, Nine-Tails swiped one of his large tails at Naruto. The Uzumaki quickly leapt back to avoid the attack. The area around Naruto's eyes turned orange while his left eye's iris turned gold with the pupil becoming a rectangle. Naruto (Sage Mode) immediately vanished before appearing underneath Nine-Tails and delivered a powerful punch to his stomach causing the Tailed Beast to be launched into the air. Naruto then appeared above Nine-Tails and slammed a kick to the beast's head sending him plummeting back down to the ground.
Nine-Tails growled as he watched Naruto land on the ground.
"I am hatred incarnate. Do you honestly believe you can conquer hatred with more hatred?" asked Nine-Tails. Instead of answering, Naruto's orange Susano'o manifested around the blond in it's final state wielding it's yellow sword and red shield. The eyes of the Susano'o, which were visible beneath the fox mask, turned orange instead of yellow due to the nature chakra coursing through Naruto.
"No. I'm not stupid enough to believe that." said Naruto. "All I need to do is weaken you down enough to where I can take your chakra. Like Sage Gramps told me."
-Flashback-
"So what do I do once I try to claim Nine-Tails' power?" Naruto asked Fukasaku after receiving the key to the seal on his stomach.
"You grab hold of his chakra with your own, but once you do it will be a battle of wills. If he is able to take your chakra, then he will break free." said Fukasaku.
-Reality-
Willing his Susano'o, the chakra construct swung it's blade at Nine-Tails. The Tailed Beast, however, blocked with a couple of his tails. Naruto smirked as he willed his Susano'o to grab the tails with it's free second left hand. Using the strength granted by the nature chakra, the Susano'o lifted Nine-Tails by his two tails and slammed him back into the ground on his back. The Susano'o then twirled it's blade once before impaling it through Nine-Tails' stomach causing the Tailed Beast to cough up blood.
"That should keep you still for a moment." said Naruto. His Susano'o then proceeded to grasp one of Nine-Tails' tails before pulling back, taking a long thread of red chakra with it. Backing away, Naruto willed his Susano'o to keep pulling the chakra.
"Get... out..." said a voice causing Naruto to stop and look around for the source of the voice. Looking toward Nine-Tails, the blond quickly noticed the thread of chakra turning a dark shade of red and watched as it ran up to his Susano'o. Immediately, the chakra construct turned blood red and lost it's shape as it was pulled into the thread of chakra, but still remained attached to Naruto. The blade of the Susano'o faded allowing Nine-Tails to raise up onto his elbows as the stab wound healed instantly. The Tailed Beast smirked as he watched Naruto grip his head and drop to his knees.
"Why is it always him?" asked the voice again. Naruto's left eye's sclera turned black as the iris turned red and the pupil changed back to a circular shape. The orange around his eyes faded as his Mangekyou Sharingan changed back to the three tomoed state.
"Leave us... alone." said the voice. Nine-Tails chuckled menacingly.
"Now do you see? Had you conquered your hatred before attempting to control my power, you may have had a chance. Little as it may have been. However, you were arrogant enough to believe you were strong enough to beat me on your own. You're just a tiny piece of my hatred." growled Nine-Tails.
"Go away... and never come back!" said the voice. Naruto gripped his head tighter as his left eye's pupil began to form into a slit.
'Dammit! I was an idiot. I should've known better than to think I was stronger than the furball in my current state. I should've dealt with that dark version of myself before facing him.' thought Naruto as he felt his chakra ebbing away. 'I...'
"No..." said a feminine voice causing Naruto to look up and find the entire area bathed in a familiar gold light. Looking ahead, he spotted a woman with long red hair that reached to her tailbone and violet eyes. She wore a white t-shirt with a black skirt, a green apron that stopped at her knees and black ninja sandals.
"You stay right there..." said the woman with a warm smile. "...Naruto."
-With Nine-Tails-
The Tailed Beast's smirk fell as he noticed a small particle of light appear and float toward Naruto. The blond suddenly went stock-still as the light entered him. Suddenly, dozens of gold chakra chains erupted from the ground surprising Nine-Tails. The chains immediately wrapped around his limbs and tails as well as his chest and neck before pulling him flat against the ground.
"ARGH! T-this vile chakra. I know it anywhere." said Nine-Tails as he struggled against the chains that bound him to no avail. "Even in death... you're still a pain in the ass. KUSHINA!"
-With Naruto-
Naruto leapt to his feet and unsheathed his katana before pointing the blade at the woman standing before him. To her credit, the woman didn't bat an eye nor lost the smile.
"Who are you? How are you in my head? And how the hell do you know my name?" asked Naruto. The woman let out a soft chuckle.
"I guess I should start with my name." said the woman. "My name is Kushina. Kushina Uzumaki." Naruto's eyes widened slightly before narrowing.
"Uzumaki? That's impossible. The only Uzumaki left are myself and Karin. Cloud, Mist and Stone wiped the rest of the Uzumaki clan out." said Naruto. The woman, Kushina, scratched her cheek.
"Well, that's true. And you're right when you said that you and that Karin girl were the only Uzumaki left. I'm just a bit of chakra that Minato put into the seal and set it so I would appear when you attempted to gain full control of the Nine-Tails." said Kushina. "As for how I know your name, well, I would think that's obvious. Minato and I picked it out for you." Naruto cocked an eyebrow.
"You mean you and my Dad picked it out? You're talking as if you're..." said Naruto.
"She is, you idiot." said a familiar dark voice. Looking behind him, Naruto spotted his dark self and his uncorrupted younger self. Looking between the two, Naruto looked back at Kushina to see her still smiling that same warm smile. Slowly, his glare morphed into a look of shock as his katana fell to the ground with a clatter. He took a slow step forward with trembling hands.
"That's right." said Kushina. "I am your..." The Uzumaki woman never got to finish as Naruto closed the distance between them and engulfed her in a hug. Surprised, Kushina slowly wrapped her arms around the shaking blond.
"I... I've wanted to meet you... all my life..." said Naruto as he opened his tear filled eyes to reveal that his left eye had returned to normal. "...Mom." Kushina rubbed Naruto's back soothingly as the blond continued to shake due to trying to hold back his tears.
"You poor boy." said Kushina. "It's my fault that you turned out like this." Getting control of himself, Naruto pulled away from Kushina, but kept his hands on her shoulders.
"Don't you dare blame yourself for what has happened to me. I went rogue because I wanted to learn the truth of the Nine-Tails' attack sixteen years ago. Now, not only do I know the truth, but I also intend to make sure that all parties involved pay. Madara, for instigating the attack, and the Leaf for treating me like the dirt the villagers walk on. I'll wipe out the civilian council and destroy that room beneath the Hokage Tower." said Naruto. Kushina shook her head.
"You only know a part of the truth." said Kushina earning a confused look from Naruto. "The reason the Nine-Tails was even in the village at all at the time was because of me."
"What do you mean, Mom?" asked the younger Naruto. Kushina sighed.
"I mean that the jinchuriki before you, Naruto, was... me." said Kushina causing both the younger and the current Naruto's eyes to widen slightly while the dark one's narrowed. "I came to the village from the Village Hidden in the Whirlpools to become the next jinchuriki because Lady Mito, the First Hokage's wife, was dying. She was the first jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails." Kushina blushed a bit.
"That's actually how I met your father, Minato." said Kushina.
"How did you guys fall in love anyway?" asked the younger Naruto. This caused Kushina's blush to darken noticeably as she rubbed the back of her head.
"It's... a bit embarrassing, ya know." said Kushina. The younger Naruto grinned.
"You said "ya know" like we used to!" said younger Naruto. "C'mon! Tell us!" Kushina giggled.
"Well I have a special chakra as I'm sure you're aware of." said Kushina. All three Narutos nodded their heads.
"Those chakra chains." said Naruto. Kushina nodded her head.
"Yeah. Well because of my chakra I was kidnapped by Hidden Cloud ninja." said Kushina. Noticing Naruto's fists clenching in obvious anger, the Uzumaki woman placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't be angry with the Hidden Cloud, Naruto." said Kushina causing Naruto to look at her with a fierce glare.
"Why shouldn't I?! They kidnapped you and were probably gonna put you in some kinda breeding program like Danzo was gonna do to Karin!" said Naruto. Kushina nodded her head.
"Yes, they were." said Kushina. "But your father saved me. While I was being led away I snipped off strands of my hair. Carefully, so the enemy wouldn't notice. The Leaf immediately put together search teams to find me, but had a hard time. When we were near the border, and I thought that I was done for, your father rushed in and saved me. He was the only one to notice the red strands of my hair." Kushina's blush darkened as she smiled widely.
"He told me that the reason he noticed them right away was because of how pretty my hair was." said Kushina. "It was then that I knew that Minato could make all my dreams come true. I stopped hating my hair and started thinking of it as my "Red Thread of Destiny."" Naruto's glare changed into a neutral expression as he reached up and grabbed a lock of his mother's hair. For it, and the rest of his mother being nothing more than a bit of her chakra, Naruto had to admit that it was rather silky and soft.
"Dad was right. Your hair is really pretty, Mom." said Naruto causing Kushina to smile.
"Well thank you, son!" said Kushina as she wrapped her arms around Naruto in a bone crushing hug. Dark Naruto and the young Naruto both cringed as they could've sworn they heard a few ribs cracking.
'She's about as strong as granny./She's about as strong as granny.' thought the two as they disappeared. Letting her son go, Kushina gave Naruto a motherly smile.
"There are certain words I bestow to men who compliment my hair." said Kushina. "Will you accept them?" Naruto nodded his head.
"Of course, Mom." said Naruto. Kushina giggled as she grabbed Naruto's hands and poured some of her chakra into him.
"I love you." said Kushina causing Naruto's eyes to widen.
-Back with Nine-Tails-
Naruto, whom was still on his knees with his and the Nine-Tails chakra still connected, slowly stood up as the connection broke.
'I feel so... calm.' thought Naruto. Nine-Tails' eyes widened slightly as he saw flickers of orange chakra seep out of Naruto.
'So... happy.' thought Naruto as he opened his eyes to reveal that his Sharingan had shifted into the Mangekyou. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Instantly, Naruto's Susano'o reformed around him, but this time with legs. Naruto, whom was floating in the Susano'o's chest, glared at Nine-Tails.
"Let's go, furball! Time to settle things once and for all!" said Naruto. Struggling into a seated position, Nine-Tails growled.
"You have infuriated me... NARUTO!" roared Nine-Tails causing the confines of Naruto's mindscape to shake violently. Looking toward the ceiling, Nine-Tails opened his maw as a large black ball of chakra formed. Looking at Naruto, the Tailed Beast fired his Tailed Beast Bomb. Willing his Susano'o to charge forward, Naruto made the chakra construct swing it's yellow blade in an upward slash, cleaving the Tailed Beast Bomb in two. Leaping up into the air, the Susano'o formed a lightning Rasenshuriken in it's lower right hand.
"No you don't!" said Nine-Tails as he attempted to leap after Naruto, but the chains began to glow before he found himself pinned to the ground on his back again. Naruto's Susano'o pulled back it's lower right arm.
"COMBINATION JUTSU: GIANT LIGHTNING RASENSHURIKEN!" shouted Naruto as his Susano'o tossed the jutsu at Nine-Tails. The jutsu traveled at high speed before connecting with the Tailed Beast's gut. The jutsu immediately expanded to nearly the same size as Nine-Tails as it tore at the fox's torso while painfully shocking him.
"AAARGH!" Nine-Tails howled in pain. Landing on ground, Naruto dispelled his Susano'o as he summoned thousands of shadow clones.
"DO IT!" ordered Naruto. Getting a chorus of "yes sirs," Naruto watched as his clones grabbed hold of Nine-Tails' tails and began pulling several long threads of red chakra. As the jutsu finally dissipated, Nine-Tails painfully shifted into a seated position as he tore off Kushina's chakra chains. Making a couple more shadow clones, Naruto and his shadow clones each made a Rasenshuriken and charged at the Tailed Beast.
"This ends here. All of it!" said Naruto as he and his clones leapt at Nine-Tails. Cocking back their right arms, Naruto and his clones thrusted the Rasenshurikens into Nine-Tails' chest. Immediately, the jutsus expanded to nearly the same size as the Tailed Beast.
"I... r-refuse to be b-beaten... by a mere human!" said Nine-Tails as he was pushed back by the jutsu.
'Nine-Tails... perhaps someday... you and I...' thought Naruto as images of each time he utilized Nine-Tails chakra floated through his mind. With one final shove, Nine-Tails was sent flying back by the force of the Rasenshurikens leaving behind a red chakra version of himself. Landing on the ground, Naruto grabbed a line of red chakra and immediately attached it to his stomach as the other clones dispelled. The chakra version of Nine-Tails sank into the thread as it was absorbed into Naruto. Instantly, Naruto was covered from head to toe in purple chakra that had black markings on it that ran all over his body including a swirl pattern on his stomach and six tomoe along the collar. His left eye's iris changed from blue to red, but otherwise stayed the same.
"Whoa." said an amazed Naruto (Corrupted Nine-Tails Chakra Mode) as he looked himself over. A beastly howl drew the blond's attention as he looked toward Nine-Tails to find the beast on all fours charging a Tailed Beast Bomb that was twice the size of the beast himself. Nine-Tails, now stripped of over half it's chakra, looked skinner as his ribcage could be seen through the skin and fur.
"Still packing that much power, huh?" asked Naruto as he placed a hand on his stomach. Twisting it, purple chains burst from the ground and immediately wrapped around Nine-Tails. The Tailed Beast immediately found himself pinned to the ground as the chakra ball broke apart.
'These chains. They're not like Kushina's. The chakra flowing through these chains is dark. Even darker than my own. It almost feels like...' thought Nine-Tails as the cell and it's doors repaired themselves and locked once more.
"Sorry Nine-Tails. Maybe someday... someone will finally free us both from this cycle of hatred that we're trapped in." said Naruto. The purple chakra disappeared, returning Naruto to normal before he disappeared.
-With Kushina-
Naruto opened his eyes to find that he was back in the bright area of his mindscape. Looking at his mother, the blond saw that she was smiling.
"You did it, Naruto!" said Kushina as she made to grab his hand, but both were surprised when her hand passed through his. "Looks like I'm out of time. I'll be reuniting with your father soon." Realizing his mother could disappear at any second, Naruto knew he needed to ask the one question that had been plaguing his mind since his mother revealed to him that she had been Nine-Tails' jinchuriki before him.
"Mom, Dad told me that he believed the masked man who instigated the Nine-Tails' attack sixteen years ago was Madara Uchiha, but how did he manage to get Nine-Tails out of you?" asked Naruto. Kushina sighed.
"I don't know in all honesty. I mean, I know that he reversed the sealing process, but somehow he knew that when a female jinchuriki goes through childbirth, the seal is at it's weakest because the mother's chakra is diverted from the seal to the growing child. He managed to slip through all the ANBU and protection barriers your father and Lord Third set up." explained Kushina. Naruto glared, his rage at Madara increasing tenfold, and made a silent vow that one day he would take the legendary Uchiha's head. He was brought out of his thoughts as he noticed his mother's form beginning to fade.
"I'm so sorry, Naruto." said Kushina. "I'm so sorry for making you Nine-Tails' Jinchuriki and making you bear our burden. I'm sorry for not being able to be at your side as you grew up... and not giving you the love you needed." Naruto stared at his mother for a moment before shaking his head.
"Don't apologize." said Naruto causing Kushina to look at him in surprise. "Okay, sure, I went through a lot as a kid because I was a jinchuriki... but I would NEVER blame you, or Dad for that. If anyone should be apologizing, it's me. I let my anger and hatred toward the village rule my actions after I finally snapped... and everything I've learned since then has only driven me further into the darkness. I don't know if I'll ever be able to free myself from it, but I know that I have a couple of friends left who haven't given up on me no matter how much I've pushed them away." Naruto gave his mother a small smile of reassurance.
"Whether I like it, or not, I'm in good hands. So you don't need to worry." said Naruto. Kushina stared at her son with tears streaking down her face before moving to hug him.
"Naruto. no matter where you go, or what you do..." said Kushina as her form faded. "...remember that your father and I will always love you."
-Mindscape-
Naruto opened his eyes to find himself back in his sewer-like mindscape. Looking around, he figured he was back where he had first entered. Placing a hand over his heart, the Uzumaki felt tears running down his face.
'I'm such a fool. Everything I ever wanted I already had, but I gave it all up because I couldn't see through the darkness. I deserve to be alone for what I've done.' thought Naruto. "I need to go back. I need to get the answers. The whole truth."
-Reality-
Naruto opened his eyes, his Sharingan right eye shifting into it's Mangekyou form as he activated his corrupted Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.
"Time to go." said Naruto as he stood up and unsheathed his katana.

UltimaShishigawa: Hope you enjoyed. Sorry it took so long to finish this chapter, but I got serious writer's block with this one so I decided to take a break from it and then when I finally figured it out I couldn't get up to doing it. It was pretty much the snowball effect. Also, to any of you who may, or may not comment on why Naruto's Nine-Tails' Chakra Mode is purple instead of an orange/gold it's partly because of the Curse Mark's residual chakra still in the blond's body. It ended up powering up the form, but also corrupted the form, too. And to any of you who hate it, or stop reading because of it, that's your choice and I respect that, but it's my story and I'm writing it how I see fit. Please read, review, comment, but don't flame!
