Chapter 10 - Beyond the Limits of Human

Okay, the poll is now open as I am done adding stories. So please feel free to vote for the next story that I will be doing. If there is a story that you want to be requested then I will still add it up to the 20th story (as of the moment of writing this there is 17). The poll is up on my profile page.

I sat on the bed staring at my target. The white haired man who was still drunk after almost six hours. How he did this I had no idea but then again I really didn't want to know. "Hey Jiraiya." I saw the drunken ninja turn to me. "You know what Naruto is doing right now?" I saw Jiraiya turn to Naruto and stare at him for a few seconds.

"I don' know. What?" Well at least he was speaking a little more clearer.

"He's talking to the fox." I saw Jiraya nod his head for a few seconds. I watched as his eyes went huge and he made for a lunge for Naruto. I had predicted this reaction and rose a small wall of ice around Naruto. I chuckled as Jiraiya face planted on the near invisible wall. "Don't worry he isn't in any direct danger." I saw Jiraiya rise and look me dead in the eye.

"Lower the wall." The tone of his voice nearly made me flinch but I knew that if I lowered the wall now then all of this would be for not.

"I can't do that Jiraiya." I could feel the tension building up between the two of us. I knew that if it came down to a fight that I would lose in a second flat. Knowing my odds I figured that if I could delay Jiraiya long enough that Naruto could finish up the details of his partnership with the fox and I would leave the room alive. "You honestly think fighting the one person who knows what's going on is a good idea?" I had no idea if this would work but it was my only shot. I saw Jiraiya un-tense a millimeter. Normally this would make someone still on edge but I figured that it was the only tell that my plan was working so I figured I should continue. "Naruto is talking to the fox right now and those two are working out a partnership." I saw Jiraiya tense up again. I figured talking about the fox was only going to dig me deeper so I figured I should talk to the one thing he truly cared about. "When Naruto finishes the partnership he should have control over its power." I hated calling a greater beast an 'it' but I knew saying fox would only set me back. I saw Jiraiya carefully examine the sentence, a skill he must have gotten working for the leaf in whatever he did.

"What do you mean should?" I let my body un-tense. At least he was willing to hear me out now.

"The partnership between a beast and its host are different. For the host they usually want the power that the beast holds. The beast in turn usually wants freedom in someway." I saw Jiraiya nearly attack me but I held my hands up quickly. "The fox wanted the same freedom type as Koori did." I saw Jiraiya stay still. I took this as a sign to continue. "The fox will be able to get a smaller form of its true self when Naruto goes unconscious. However, the host and beasts can add small little bits to the pact. This is what Naruto is doing right now." I saw Jiraiya stay still, I knew better however. His mind was tearing apart every single part of information I had just given him and was probably trying to find some type of lie that I could have put in there.

"Hey pervy sage!" We both turned and looked at the center of the reason we were fighting. Naruto who was still inside the shield of ice. "Um… can anyone tell me why I'm in this thing?" I couldn't help but sigh at Naruto. He had just negotiated with the most powerful tailed beast and he acted like that was his normal schedule for Tuesday.

"So what does your partnership with the fox require of you?" I saw Naruto turn from his normal self to a more serious one. A version of him that I was seeing a lot more lately.

"She just wants the same exact thing that you gave your partner." I couldn't help but give a small sad smile. I hadn't spoken with Koori since the chunin exams and I really missed her.

"Okay, Jiraiya you need to modify the seal so when Naruto goes unconscious the fox can take over." I saw Jiraiya glare at me like I was some type of monster. I knew that I was pushing the limits of his patience. "Look its either you modify it and get it done right or we try it and something could go wrong." I knew that this was a cruel card to play but I needed Jiraiya to do this work so that it was perfect and the fox couldn't escape. I saw the old man glare at me.

"And what makes you think that I'll do that?" I felt Naruto fidget a small amount. If I had to guess the fox was now yelling at Naruto. I shut my eyes and took a deep breath, this was going to either work or kill me.

"Because if you don't then I'll let everyone know." I saw Jiraiya narrow his eyes at me. Both us knew that the information I was talking about, Jiraiya being Naruto's godfather, could make a nation with strong negative ties, like the rock, would chase after and attempt to capture or kill Naruto. I knew that I wouldn't be willing to do this but I was hoping Jiraiya didn't know that.

"I knew taking you along would be a problem." I saw Jiraiya start to dig in his jacket for something. I was hoping it would be sealing supplies and not a sharp pointy thing to kill me with. When he pulled out a scroll I relaxed. Jiraiya was working with the plan so far and I just had to hope that he did what he was told and not to try sealing the fox up even more. " Naruto, lay down and take off your shirt." I saw Naruto do this without an argument, showing that he really wanted this. "So tell me what exactly needs to happen to the seal." Even though Jiraiya was looking at the seal on Naruto I knew the question was directed at me.

"You need to modify the seal's container lines and create a bridge to a reversal seal that only get energy when Naruto's consciousness reaches zero." I saw Jiraiya turn to me.

"How do you know that much about seals?" I closed my eyes. I really wanted to lie about it but really saw no use in it. "I was taught by someone a while ago in. You should know the person." I looked up right at Jiraiya and took a deep breath. "I learned seals in the land of sound, by the otokage no less." I saw Jiraiya start to get the picture on who I learned seals from.

"Wait! You learned seals in the sound? The place that attacked the Leaf?" I tilted my head slightly and looked right at Naruto.

"Yea, that sound." I saw Naruto try to get up by Jiraiya put a foot on his stomach.

"So you were taught seals by Orochimaru." I nodded, not even having to look at Naruto to know that he was staring at me. "How do we know you aren't working for him?" I sighed, this was the most common reaction that I got when people found out I learned from Orochimaru. At least Jiraiya had a reason to be suspicious of me.

"If I was an agent of that snake what do you think I would be doing in the leaf for almost a full year?" I saw Jiraiya give me a dead stare.

"He has many sleeper agents, some that stay in cover their entire lives. In fact Kabuto, a gifted medic ninja, was actually found to be a spy." I let my shoulders drop.

"Look this is getting us no where. Jiraiya, I'll make a deal with you. If you find me doing the simplest thing that makes you think I'm a spy of Orochimaru then you may kill me on the spot." I opened up my arms just to prove the point. "If you think I'm a spy then kill me right now." I felt the room tense up as the seconds passed by without a single movement.

"This is getting us no where. Kurai." I put my arms to the side and looked at the white haired leader. "After I'm finished with Naruto I'm going to check you over for any curse seals that snake could have put on you." I nodded. There was no reason to disagree with him. In fact if I didn't have Koori then I would actually have a curse mark on my neck. Little did Orochimaru know that if a jinchūriki can only be effected by seals if the two are not working in sync and the seal is directly put on top of the beast's seal if the two are working together. I didn't want Jiraiya to know that weakness in us hosts.

I sighed again. After Jiraiya had modified the seal with Naruto and checked me for any curse seals we took off again. This time without stopping at a single town to rest. This was until we reached a town with a large amount of people running in the opposite direction that we were walking. I saw Jiraiya grab on of the men running away and start to talk to him about something. I let the entire situation fade from my mind as I felt something familiar. "Oh, this is just too fucking funny." I turned to Jiraiya who was stilling questioning the man. "Jiraiya!" I saw the sennin drop the man and turn to me.

"What is it Kurai?" I pointed where I felt a surge of chakra from. That's not what made me so on edge. It was the fact that it was chakra that I had felt before back in the sound. "It's Orochimaru." With that statement I felt Jiraiya tense up. I closed my eyes and focused on the area. "There is also three others. One with a large amount of chakra close to you. The other two are much smaller but still huge compared to average ninja." I opened my eyes and looked to Jiraiya. He knew more about fighting than both Naruto and I put together so I understood that he had lead of this situation.

"Kurai, you and Naruto will follow behind me and if I get into a fight do notinterfere." I nodded. It made sense as neither of us could actually handle the weaker of the group much less the stronger. "Okay come on." The three of us took off toward the area where I felt the chakra surges.

Arriving I saw something that I never would have imagined. A whole wall of the once famous Tanzaku Castle was shattered. I paused for a moment. Where was the entire castle!? I looked around for anything that looked castle-ly but saw nothing. I was about to say something but how tense the air was around Jiraiya I figured it was better left unsaid. "Come on. Let's go find a hotel." Naruto and I could only nod to Jiraiya.

After finding a hotel Jiraiya took Naruto off alone to do something. This didn't worry me too much as Jiraiya did this a few towns back saying something about a jutsu made just for Naruto. I figured it was a birthright and let it slide. Naruto needed time alone with his godfather, even if he didn't know it. I sat in the bed and started to focus on making a small cube of ice, something that I was finding to be harder and harder everyday that passed. I knew exactly why to. Koori was getting so weak that the ice was now using just my chakra to form it. I figured that this would happen and that was why I was trying to constantly work on some form of control to use ice better. Without Koori to work as a catalyst the ice was being controlled purely by me and I needed to be exact in my control, much more than before as Koori always correctly my minor mistakes. I wanted to scream out in frustration as the ice crumbled away as I let too little chakra into the cube. I knew why Koori did this too. This was a test of her's to prove something to me. She loved giving me these as a child to make me think of things out of the box. This however I felt had a more direct meaning. One of 'If you get this then you are a true wielder of ice'. I settled back into a comfortable position and focused on the cube again. I got a solid form and was happy but that was simple control exercise. What I needed to do was spin the cube at blurring speeds and have it keep perfect form and not shatter do to the air pressure. I slowly started to turn the air under the cube and floated it above my palm. I started to twist the air under it to make the cube spin clockwise. As it started to pick up a small amount of speed I felt one of the faces crack. I stopped the cube and cut the chakra that was holding it up. I turned the cube and looked at the broken side and saw a deep gash in the side. I waved my hand over the cube and saw the surface was now perfect again. I started up my chakra again to spin the cube.

"Hey Kurai!" I looked up from my cube that was spinning at a decently fast speed. Nothing to marvel about but good none the less.

"What is it Naruto?" I looked up and saw Naruto's dark orange jumpsuit was very dirty. I wanted to ask him what he was doing but I put it down to the training he was doing with Jiraiya.

"Pervy Sage is taking us out to get some food!" I let the cube drift out of existence. Something didn't seem right here. The old man never spent any money on anything so far on this trip. I went over to my equipment pouch and felt around. I then noticed a lack of my wallet inside of the pouch.

"Oh that perverted son of a." I took a deep breath and thought about how much money I had in there and started to laugh. I remembered that I had used all my free money and the only thing that was left in the wallet was a card that is linked directly to the Hyuuga. This being the land of fire meant that if you were not a Hyuuga then you could not buy a single thing with the card. I saw Naruto just staring at me like I was crazy. "I just thought of something funny." I saw Naruto smile and go off to change his clothes from the dirty to clean ones. I still had no idea where he kept them all. After he was done we left and I followed Naruto to the restaurant.

"A bar." I stood outside the building that Naruto lead me to. By the look on his face I'd say that he was in the same boat that I was in. I took a deep breath and waved for Naruto to follow me, we weren't going to do anything efficient outside. As I walked through the door I saw a large group of people look right at us. I looked around for a large mound of white hair and saw it quite quickly. I tapped Naruto on the shoulder. "Come on Naruto this way." As we grew closer I saw the old man sitting next to two people, both young looking females. One was blond and the other was brunette. I walked right up to Jiraiya and sat right next to him. I was about to say something but Naruto shoved me over and squeezed me between the both of them. I was instantly done with it and let ice chakra flow through me. This made Naruto jump away out of the booth and Jiraiya being pinned to the wall jumped upward and landed face first on the seat. This left me staring at the two unknown females.

"Brat, just who the hell are you?" I looked at the speaker. The blond woman. Something seemed off about here. Normally I wouldn't have noticed but spending a lot of time around Hanabi made me more chakra sensitive.

"I'm Kurai. However, this is a better question. What did the old pervert lie to you two about?" I saw the blond sigh and pick up a sake bottle.

"Jiraiya. He's harmless." I looked at the blond and then the brunette. I focused a bit more on them and noticed that their chakra was the same earlier today.

"You two are the one's that were at the castle earlier today." I saw the both of them tense slightly. I saw Jiraiya and Naruto get back into the booth, I gave them little attention though. What got my attention was that this was the two people we were looking for. "What did he want with you?" I saw the two tense up even more.

"I have no idea what you are talking about brat." I glanced at Jiraiya, hoping that he would pick up what I was talking about. I saw him lower his palm slightly. Something that told me that he wanted to leave that topic alone for now.

"Tsunade, as I'm sure you heard that the sound attack the leaf." I saw Tsunade nod her head and take another gulp of sake. "Then I'm sure that you heard about sensei." I felt the room get a lot denser. I saw the now dubbed Tsunade take a huge drink of sake. The brunette hadn't said a thing which not me suspicious. I started to form a small kunai of ice under the table. "The village elders have requested that you come back to the village to become the fifth hokage." I felt the room get a whole lot tenser.

"No. The hokage is a sure loss bet. Only fools would take that bet." I stopped listening as I started to try to keep Naruto from attempting to bash the woman's head in, something that he could not do. However when he elbowed me in the stomach I let go of him for one second and by the time I recovered he was already in Tsunade's face.

"Who do you think you are!?" I heard the entire room go silent. This was going to get bad, very very fast.

"Who are you brat?" I really started to hate where this was going but Naruto dug himself into this mess and I wasn't going to get him out until he was going to die, which was very likely.

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki and I'm going to be Hokage!" I shook my head at how Naruto was acting. When he was alone around people who truly knew him he was a calm-ish person. However, once you insulted his dream, well, clear the area.

"Jiraiya, is this your apprentice? He looks stupider than the last one." I could only sit there and watch in this strange fascination on how this Tsunade was like a older female version of Naruto. I shook my head at that thought as I thought back on the history of the leaf. Who was Jiraiya's last apprentice, it might give me a clue who Naruto's father or mother was.

"Who was your last apprentice Jiraiya?" I saw the white haired man give me a very dark glare that told me to not say too much. I knew I was on the right track.

"His last apprentice was just a fool like sensei. He was the fourth Hokage." I closed my eyes and tried to think of what the fourth looked like. I knew a lot of facts about man but I realized that I never saw what he looked like. I made a note to look this up when we got back to the leaf.

"Listen lady, you don't deserve to be the Hokage! The hokage is kind, nice, and not some drunken old hag!" I felt the air grow very very dense. I looked at the blond and saw that she had pure hate in her eyes.

"Come on brat let's take this outside." I saw Tsunade stand up and the other woman chased after saying something about not fighting a kid.

"Naruto you can't fight her." The two of us looked over to Jiraiya. "She is as strong as I am, if not stronger." I saw Naruto smile and just walked out of the door. The two of us chased after Naruto but ignored us.

"All I need is one finger." I saw Tsunade hold up her pointer finger right at Naruto. I saw Naruto get a serious face meaning one thing. He planned on winning no matter what. This made me a bit nervous as Naruto now had the power of the nine tails under his control or at least to a degree. I saw Naruto start to make a ball of chakra in his hand, something familiar to my cube spinning. I saw Naruto run straight at Tsunade with the ball of chakra. I wanted to yell at him since I thought I had beaten it into this head long ago that rushing a enemy that was stronger than you is useless. I saw Tsunade raise her hand and flick Naruto directly in his forehead and sent him flying into the wall of the building next to us. I stared wide eyed at the power that women just used to hit Naruto with. I looked over to the bent in the building and was about to help Naruto but then I noticed that he wasn't there. I looked over and saw Naruto coming out of the ground with the same exact ball of chakra in his hand.

"Rasengan!" I saw the ball was about to connect with Tsunade until she whipped out her fist and impacted Naruto in the gut. I saw Naruto about to crash into the same building but a much greater speed. I sent a large amount of chakra into the air and formed some hand signs.

"Crystal Ice Style: Wall of Ice!" I saw a wall of ice form out of the thin air in Naruto's path. It was a very thin piece of ice only meant to slow Naruto down so when he impacted the wall I saw it shatter and felt a small quiver in my chakra. My jutsu was a success though as Naruto impacted the wall at a much slower speed. Once I checked Naruto over and saw that he was okay but asleep I looked at the the target. Tsunade now officially pissed me off. She fought Naruto and could beat him down and I would be fine with that as I knew he would wake up refreshed. However, that ends when someone tries to kill him. "Who the fuck do you think you are?" I looked up from Naruto directly at Tsunade. I felt the shards of ice around me start to be pulled toward me. "Why the fuck would you try to kill him?" I felt the dragon spirit in me start to awaken but I felt that this was a good time to use it. Prove to that bitch that she was a mere human. "You want a real fight then let's fight!" I let the power flow through me and felt the ice form into my first form.

"Jiraiya, what the hell is this.. thing?" I saw Tsunade stare at me with wide eyes. This only made me more happy as she was in fear of me.

"Kurai! Calm down! Naruto is alive right?" I looked over to Jiraiya. I had to agree Naruto was fine but something in the back of my head was telling me that Tsunade still tried to kill Naruto. The voice in the back of my head won and I glared right at Tsunade. I felt my tail start to whip around and gash into the buildings around us. I knew Jiraiya would probably try to seal me. Too bad that my stomach was covered by ice.

"What's wrong bitch? When someone can give you a proper fight then you back off?" I saw Tsunade take a step back. She was just making me want to chase her down. I was about to leap after her but I heard something behind me. I turned my head to listen to the sound.

"Do… n't do.. it.." I looked down to Naruto and let my figure droop. I let the ice melt off my body. If Naruto felt that I shouldn't do anything then who am I to argue with him? Once the ice was off my body I went over to Naruto and picked him up.

"Jiraiya, I'm going back to the hotel with Naruto. Afterward we have to talk." I didn't wait for an a answer before I took off.

I woke up when I heard a grunt from the only other person in the room. I turned in my bed and looked over to the person. "How are you feeling you idiot?" I saw Naruto just stare at the his hands. I knew something was wrong but decided to ignore it. "So what's this new jutsu you had? Rasengan was it?" I saw Naruto nod his head numbly. Something was seriously wrong. "Okay Naruto what's up with you?" I saw Naruto look up and start to give a fake smile. He stopped half way though and looked to the ceiling.

"The fox is yelling at me for something like 'the pact is not being fulfilled' or something like that." That made me pause. If the pact wasn't being fulfilled then the fox could take back all deal they had.

"What did the fox say isn't being fulfilled? I saw Naruto sigh and close his eyes.

"He said that he was suppose to come out when that old hag knocked me out but couldn't." I stopped for a second and thought about last night. My mind went a little foggy when first form took over but remembered that Naruto spoke to me.

"Naruto, you were still awake." I saw Naruto give me a curious look. "You told me not to kill Tsunade." I saw Naruto shrug but then close his eyes. I figured he was talking to the fox.

"Nine agrees with you and said that he was sorry." I paused for a moment. Nine? Is that what the fox wanted to be called? I just agreed with the name as I had no way to have any direct contact with the fox without a lot of hassle. Plus it was odd that a demon was apologizing so quickly

"Okay well I guess you'll going out to train right?" I saw Naruto nod and put on his jumpsuit. I sat lotus style on the bed and focused on making a cube of ice again. My mind still wondering what was making Naruto so charka weak.

The week went by relatively quiet for me afterwards. Minus the fact that Naruto made a bet with Tsunade one day that he could finish the rasengan by the end of the week. Being him he spent nearly every night outside exhausted from training as I was told by Shizune, Tsunade's brunette apprentice. I meet her when Jiraiya was out and Tsunade somehow ditched her. Afterward the two of us talked about chakra control exercises which was very good for me as I needed to refine my control even more.

This peace however didn't make me too happy because we found the target and she refused to come with us. This meant we should have gone back to the leaf but Jiraiya kept on saying we couldn't go until we got her to agree. I looked up from the two spinning cubes floating above my hand when I heard a knock at the window. I saw Jiraiya in the window looking very woozy. I opened the window and heard Jiraiya speak in a very heavy tone.

"Tsunade she's meeting with Orochimaru right now. Wake up Shizune and let's go." I wanted to ask him what he meant but Shizune but looked back and saw the woman was asleep on the floor of out room for some reason. I shook off the questions and shook her awake. I saw her blink her eyes a few times before going wide eyed.

"Tsunade she!" I cut her off by standing up.

"We know come on let's go." I saw her stand up and we made off with Jiraiya where we felt Tsunade's chakra coming from. I wanted to wake up Naruto but Jiraiya said it was better to leave him as he was weak from training.

We came to a field full of grass and three figures. One of them Tsunade, another was Orochimaru, the third was a older kid with thick glasses. I saw Tsunade frozen in fear of something. I looked over and saw the one kid's finger was bleeding. "You are kidding me. She freezes up when she see blood?" I shook my head at her and looked over at the snake sannin. "You are a disgusting man. To use a fear like that." I started to gather up chakra. As much as I hated the woman it was my mission to protect her.

"Oh? Who are you?" I saw the freak try to pick me out of his memories. "Wait, Kurai?" I saw him grow a huge unnatural smile. "How have you been Kurai? Last time I heard you were in the leaf with that one little Hyuuga. What was her name now?" A could feel anger rushing through my system. "Ah, yes, Hanabi. A wonderful girl. I wonder how much I could get for her if I sold her to the cloud?" I felt the dragon in me roar at his threat. I really wanted to tear out his throat but I had to keep calm unless I play right into this hands.

"I highly doubt you could get even close to the Compound much less get to Hanabi." I really wanted to believe this was true. I heard a cold laugh come from Orochimaru.

"That may be true. However, that's why I wouldn't have to get near the Compound." I didn't want to believe what he was saying. "I could easily have that little brat out of the leaf by the end of today." I really didn't want to believe him but I kept on remembering the one council member which did not like me at all. "Enough of this. Kabuto let's end this." I saw the glassed kid nod and saw him start to run at us.

"Shizune, you take Kabuto. I'll take Orochimaru." I saw Jiraiya to start to form hand signs but nothing happend.

"Jiraiya." I saw the white haired man look over to me out of the corner of his eye. "Let me take him. You're in no condition to fight." I saw Jiraiya about to argue but I shook my head. "Just get Tsunade back in." I saw him nod his head and I step forward and took his place. "Okay you snake freak. Let's see how you deal with me." I saw Orochimaru get into an odd stance. I wanted to rush in and hit him with large ice attacks but I knew that wouldn't get me anywhere. I let chakra into the air and formed spikes in the air. "Crystal Ice Style: Crystal Rain!" I sent the ice into his position as fast as possible but saw him simply move out of the way of the shards. "Okay, how's this? Crystal Ice Style: Frozen Tundra!" I saw icec flood over the grass and freeze a small portion of the area solid. "Now take this! Crystal Ice Style: Subzero Coffin!" I focused on all the ice and make it swirl around the snake. I saw him look at the ice with an odd fascination. I smiled as I compacted all the ice on him and froze him solid. I really wanted to believe that I got him but I felt something wrong.

"Looking for me?" I spun around and saw the snake sannin right behind me. Before I could do a thing I felt his foot impact my stomach. I couldn't do a thing as pain overloaded my body. I felt another hit impact my body and crash me into the ground. "Is that all you have? That is really pathetic. Maybe I could get more worth selling Hanabi to be a whore for the cloud?" I lost all true thought as I knew Orochimaru was actually thinking of doing it. I felt more and more ice flow on me. I went quickly from first form to second form. However I didn't stop. I kept on ascending from second to third to fifth then I hit the pinnacle form. I felt my wings expand in the air. It felt great to let out of this energy that I always kept pent up. I looked down from my now massive height to the thing that caused me all this distress.

"Kabuto! Summon Manda now!" I saw the ant sized kid run over to his master and do something. Suddenly there was three puffs of smoke around me. I looked forward and saw a large purple snake. I looked to my left and saw a large red toad that I saw during the one tail fight. I twisted my long neck to the right and saw a giant white slug. I looked over to the snake that was only slightly taller than me and started to flap my wings. I filled my lungs with air and let out a roar of frosted air.

"Orochimaru what are you doing summoning me against three enemies? One of which is letting off air that could freeze ice?" I smiled as I saw the snake not listen to the summoner. However, I knew I didn't have much time in this form and took to the sky.

"Let us freeze the sky!" I didn't really know who I was saying that to but it felt right. I went straight for the neck area of Manda. The snake however dodged and tried to bury it's fangs into my body. The ice armor on my new body however stopped the attack dead. I saw a deep purple liquid spill out onto my armor. "Poison?" I looked the snake and drew in a deep breath. I let out the air with added chakra making it air that would freeze fire solid. I saw the snake quickly dug underground to dodge the attack. I took to the air again and started to circle around the area waiting for the snake to come out. I started to worry as I felt jolts of pain in my wing joints meaning that I had to get out of full form quickly or I would die. However I should have had much more time but put it to that Koori was dying and this form used her as a source of what to build the body off of. I landed on the ground and waited for the snake to attack. I heard a rupture from behind me and I hit the thing behind me with my spiked tail. When I glanced back I saw that I hit Manda's tail, which was now sporting a large gash. I heard a new rupture in front and turned my head only for the snake to grab my long neck as it was vulnerable. I felt the snake's fangs starting to puncture the armor on my neck but as it was about to crush my neck I felt the snake let go. I looked up, painfully, and saw the toad just attempted to cut the snake in half. I attempted to stand only for my body to not respond. I knew that I had to descend or I would die. Slowly I felt the dragon in me calm down as my body returned to normal and the ice peeled off of me. When I was back in my human form I had to lie down on the battlefield and attempt to make sense of everything.

"Kurai! Are you okay?" I slowly turned my head and looked at Shizune how was running toward me. I tried to nod my head but the pain hurt to much. Guess I wasn't as alright as I thought I was. "Here let me help you." I felt a soothing feeling start to flood my body and I closed my eyes. I felt my neck start to hurt less and less but felt something wet hit my face. I opened my eyes to see Shizune was sweating and looked to be in pain. I shuffled upward even though it still hurt.

"Don't over do it Shizune." I saw her nod and sit down. The two of us looked at the three towering giants doing battle still in the distance. "I lost it a little back there." I saw Shizune give me a deadpan stare.

"A little? You turned into a giant dragon!" I saw her wave her hands slightly. I started to chuckle a little as it reminded me a little of Hanabi. I looked over to the slug and started to think of a way to get Tsunade of coming to the leaf. I was sick of being away from Hanabi for almost three weeks by the time we get back. I sighed and closed my eyes to focus on regaining my chakra. Suddenly I felt the ground shake. I opened my eyes to see that the snake had it's mouth slammed shut by the toad's knife. Suddenly all three summonings when up in smoke. I looked over and saw Shizune was asleep. I shook her awake and motioned her to follow.

When we arrived I saw Tsunade trying to heal Naruto who was lying on the ground not moving. I slowed down as we got closer. "He's gone Kurai." I looked over and saw Jiraiya holding his ribs. I looked back over to Naruto and Tsunade who was trying to heal him. I walked up to the other side of Tsunade and put a hand over hers.

"Use my chakra. It will be more effective." I saw her nod and felt a pull on my chakra. I saw the green light gain a white tint to it. After a few seconds I was about half full on my chakra then Tsunade stopped. I looked down and saw Naruto's hand around the necklace around her neck.

"I won the bet." Naruto then slipped back to sleep. I couldn't help but smile at my crazy friend.
