Chapter 10: Looking for Lucy

The group must have checked the entire town and even more than that but unfortunately they couldn't find Lucy. Not for a second did one of them want believe that she would just leave like this, without a proper goodbye or a word (other than the pathetic note). It didn't seem right. They decided to return to her house and search for any clues there, maybe something they've missed out on in the heat of the moment.
''She likes to write so see if she left her notebooks here, letters, anything'' Happy ordered, while he got his cell out and started calling his acquaintances and anyone else he thought of that would be around to know where his blonde friend could have been. The handwriting on the note matched hers, but that meant nothing. It did not confirm she was safe at all.
''I can't find her keys, Happy'' Natsu said seemingly very worried ''why would she take them?''
That question, the boy with the cat ears, couldn't answer. He just dropped on the couch and started thinking. He wondered whether he should tell the others the truth, and decided that if they don't find any clues within an hour he'll spill the Lucy tea.
''She left a ton of notebooks here, seems like she's actually writing a story or something'' Gray told the rest of the group as he took out a lot of different shape and size notebooks from Lucy's underwear drawer.
Without a word, Natsu grabbed them all and sat on Lucy's bed, clutching them tightly.
Happy raised his eyebrow ''what the f?''
Natsu didn't lift his head up to look at his friend ''she wouldn't leave these behind so it's alright, she'll be back.''
Alright that was enough. None of them clearly understood the seriousness of the situation and were only worried that L-dog might have 'run away' because she felt upset or whatever.
''Yo white boy-'' Happy started but was immediately cut off by Natsu himself.
''-Quit calling me that, I'm not even-''
This time, as a pay back, Happy cut Natsu off.
''You surely act like you are. ANYWAY I was tryin' to tell you somethin' v important about the love of your life, which she should have told you, too, but maybe you don't know each oda well nuff''
Hearing this Erza and Gray sat opposite Happy, with their phones ready in case there's some hot goss to spread.
''I'd much rather you put those away, thank you'' Happy motioned to the said phones with disgust. I guess it's time he thought. ''Y'all don't know, but L-Dog's dad is acutally-''
BOY TOY NAMED TROY USED TO LIVE IN DETROID
''Of course'' Happy sighed and picked up his phone ''Rodriguez speaking….uhm….okay yeah…..yeah I know where that is….sure thing….safe''
He chuckled to himself as his companions looked at him in anticipation.
''I know where Lucy is.''

"It was a long train journey on a casual Friday evening when we slowly, but surely, approached our destination. Current mood: Bad. Reason: We didn't EVEN stop by to get some McRonalds."
"Jesus Chriist, Erza, Chica, can you chill with that thing pls?'' Happy moaned at his companion.
But Erza didn't care. Erza Scarlet was a strong independent woman, determined to keep going despite being attacked by people who didn't understand; the haters. It was a special moment in her life. She wanted some kind of change, to try out something new, and this was a perfect opportunity. Being inspired by Lucy's written diaries, Erza thought that having a record of your daily activities and feelings might be interesting. That's when she came to the conclusion, two hours before, that every day is important because it only happens once. Inspirational.
Paying no further attention to Happy's rude comment, Erza continued to speak to her new Tascam DR-44WL Hand-held Recorder with WiFi and with no shame.
"Current mood: Taylor Swift when Kanye West interrupted her during the 2009 VMA's. You took my spotlight and now I have to start all over again."
She did it. She made a statement. Her strong words seemed to have deeply touched the hearts of the public, even making some individuals cry. Gray being one of them looked out the window to focus on mission's objective instead of his inner emotions. The dark-haired boy was still far from reaching his goal of buying the Ice Maker machine, and with each day it seemed like he was more fragile.

"I just want my earphones back" Gray murmured as he dragged his body along the pavement. It was the eleventh time Erza recorded the same statement again and after two hours of hearing her speak, Gray was disgusted and tired of his life.
"Hello. It's me. Today is a very unusual day and it all began with a chilly morning when I woke up at 6:26 instead of 6:30, which is when I always wake up. There are a number of factors which may have contributed to the instability of my sleeping pattern, one of which I belie-"
"OKAY WE'RE HERE!" Exclaimed Dragneel boy.
''Natsu Dragneel, a medium height male with pink hair, seems to be regaining his energy after being travel sick on the train'' Erza noted in her diary.
In front of them stood a sky-touching glass building that would make an impression on anyone. It looked exclusive, almost untouchable because of the strong frame and its simple name 'Dark Tower' which brought about negative connotation. It seemed so unreal yet it stood there before their amazed eyes.
"Y'all wait here. Brb"
Happy took out his Dior AL 13.6 silver and black sunglasses as he approached one of the security men standing by the entrance. He took out a card from his pocket and presented it to the male while exchanging a few short words with him. The security guard nodded and in just a few seconds the group was inside, this time admiring the mesmerising interiors of the building.
"We are currently on the thirteenth floor. Still no Lucy in sight and it looks like yet another long journey awaits us" Erza continued with her commentary.
"Ffs I told you to put that away. It'll be a real deal issue with the security if you don't." Happy warned Erza, implying that in such place her innocent actions will meet consequences. CCTV is everywhere these days, and she knew that was true.
"This won't stop me. It's not over yet." Erza murmured to her recording device as she reluctantly hid it behind her back.
"Hey... Guys, is that Lucy in there?" Natsu abruptly made his way towards a conference room which had its door slightly open. After taking another look at the blonde figure sitting by the table, he was sure it's her.
"Natsu wait!" Happy tried to stop his reckless friend. It was too early for them to be discovered.
"Lucy!" He threw the door open wasting no more time.
"Natsu?!" Lucy spun around surprised to hear Dragneel's voice.
Everyone was shocked at the sudden encounter. Lucy wasn't alone in the room; she was accompanied by a boy, not much older than them. His hair matched Happy's, but his face was wearing a smirk and the kind of expression that informed them about boy's superiority. Both Lucy and he were dressed very formally and on the table between them they had a stack of papers, documents and pens. All this put together made the atmosphere seem strange and very stiff.
"We have encountered a male. Nice." Erza murmured to her Dictaphone.
"You're really crossing the line today." Gray lost his temper and threw Erza's audio-diary on the ground.
"M-my Tascam DR-44WL Hand-held Recorder with Wi-Fi!" Tears filled girl's eyes as she watched Gray kick her precious device to the corner of the room. She knew she had to retreat this time. "I'll come back for you Tascam.."
"Well this sure is a commotion" Amused, the mysterious man said while he observed the group of friends.
The attention returned to him, and Happy was about to apologise for disrupting the two, but Natsu was ahead of him.
"Who's this guy?" the boy glared at the other guy who sat by Lucy's side.
"This is my fiancée" blushing, Lucy announced averting her gaze.
Seeing how the blonde girl was troubled, the guy smiled softly.
"Hello everyone, I am Jellal Fernandes. A pleasure to meet you all."

In a couple of chapters there'll be more NaLu romance, so tell me in reviews if there's anything in particular you'd like to read about, or some place they should go!
