A/N: I just wanted to thank everyone for reading this set of one shots last month. You all mean so much to me and I cannot express the joy I have at seeing how many people check out this pairing.

There were almost 4,000 hits on this story in October and I'm flabbergasted. That's incredible to me and it makes me perfectly content with the love this pairing is getting (as it should because Laurel and Oliver are awesome).

Highlander348 requested Laurel is the Black Canary and she and Oliver don't know each other's secret identities but find out in the end after a brief fight between them.

I'm going to tell you now, I'm not very good at writing fight scenes, but I will give it my best. Usual disclaimers in effect.

Enjoy!

Within the last two months, a new vigilante had appeared in the Glades. No one knew who she was, but her name was whispered with the same reverence that people showed Arrow, or what he was sometimes known otherwise as the Hood. The man who wore the hood did not know the identity of the new kid on the block and intended on finding out her name.

In all fairness, he should have known better. On the island, he'd been trained ferociously, but understood that hand to hand combat was a strong suit if he needed it. He purposely decided to let Felicity leak information to a person they knew was the eyes and ears for the Canary. He didn't want to take any chances that he wouldn't get his prize.

He'd been sitting in the exact spot for a half an hour, just patiently waiting in the shadows. He heard Diggle curse on their coms and stifled a laugh. Diggle was posing as the drug dealer tonight and wasn't too pleased with Oliver for the suggestion. The man muttered underneath his breath for a half an hour about how a man of his training didn't need to demean himself by acting as a half ass smart drug dealer.

Oliver watched the car drive into the parking lot and heard someone throw down a device. He heard Diggle cough and saw a streak of blonde hair run up to Diggle. Oliver stood and shot an arrow at the woman. Her head turned and she snapped back just in time from being snagged. Oliver cursed under his breath and jumped down. The woman started running away from him.

He shot another arrow and it grazed by her shoulder, ripping her uniform and making her bleed. She stopped abruptly and veered toward him. He drew another arrow and she caught it before it hit her. She discarded it and charged toward him. Oliver blocked her attacks and she blocked his.

In the background, Diggle was setting up their trap. Oliver kept the woman's attentions on him as he backed her into a corner. "You really think I'm going to let you get away?"

"You better," she stated viperously. He felt her punch him in the gut and grunted. She started kicking him in his gut and he forced himself to back up. Diggle rushed up behind them and Oliver ducked. He saw the spray fall onto the floor and heard the woman coughing.

Oliver caught her as she descended to become one with the floor. He gazed at Diggle and carried her to the car. Diggle opened his door and Oliver sat down with the woman in the backseat. Diggle got in the driver's seat and sped toward their secret offices.

Oliver carried her down into the club's back entrance and sat the woman on a table. Felicity got up from her computer and looked at Diggle's bloodied face. she grinned and almost laughed at his bemused expression. Oliver threw his hood back and gazed at the woman's face. Horror resigned on his face and he sat down on a chair in front of the table.

"How long before she wakes up?" he looked at Felicity. Felicity winced at his angry tone and Diggle looked at him puzzled.

"A couple of minutes, why?" Felicity wondered as Oliver took the different weapons from the woman's body. She glanced at Diggle. The man's face was set in stone and he let out an agitated breath.

Oliver sat with his elbows on his knees. Felicity backed up to her computer chair and Diggle kept standing. The woman gulped a breath in and Oliver was up on his feet. She moved her arms and tried to raise herself up off the table. Oliver pinned her down. Felicity saw the woman's body tense up and she and Oliver engaged in a stare battle for a long second. Felicity saw his gaze soften and then slammed her gaze on Diggle. He gave a long sigh.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Oliver's voice was barely above a whisper. The woman glared at him without blinking. Oliver brought his nose to hers and they didn't move. Felicity watched the woman relax and Oliver brought her up. His hand reached to her hair. He pulled off a well-placed wig. Felicity saw auburn hair tumble down and Oliver quietly pulled off the mask. A pissed off Laurel Lance stared back at him. Felicity gasped in surprise. Laurel glanced over at her and sent the other woman a sympathetic gaze.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Laurel shot back. Oliver sat there quietly and she gazed at him. "I had a guess after you were gone for a year and the Hood disappeared. It was a gigantic coincidence."

"Thus the legal mind soars to life," Oliver retorted. Laurel watched him realize when she'd taken on the role of Black Canary. "You found Sara. When…"

"Exactly. She offered me the chance to get all the work I couldn't get done outside of the law. I want to get change done, Ollie," she admitted quietly. Oliver took her gloved hand in his and brought it to his chest. She gazed at him for a long moment.

"Why can't you stay safe in the DA's office?" he questioned. She didn't answer him as he sighed once again. "I don't want to risk your life. I can't… afford to lose you."

"Well, you don't control me!" Laurel hit her hand against his chest. She got up off the table and walked around the hideout. She gazed at different pieces of equipment then at Diggle and Felicity. "You have your own team here… we could try something."

Felicity nodded ferociously. "Totally! We can team up. With the both of you, we double our outcome."

Diggle nodded in agreement. Oliver once again glared at Laurel. She stood with her arms crossed and an eyebrow raised. "You're not getting rid of me. Deal with it."

"Your girl and Roy'll work together." Oliver stood flush against her. Neither moved for five minutes. Laurel touched his hair and his face paint. "We really need to talk."

"We can always get some almond bread." Laurel's tentative smile was mirrored on Oliver's face. He put his forehead on hers and breathed a long sigh.

Neither of them saw Felicity clasp her hands and let out a hopeless romantic breath. She stared sappily at Diggle. Diggle rubbed his head and shrugged. He'd have to deal with two lovesick puppies and their number one rooter. It was going to be a long week.

A/N: In my heart of hearts, I want to say that Felicity is rooting for Oliver (how sick would it be if she had an affair with the Flash when he appears this season?!).

I hope you liked this one-shot! If you'd like, leave me a review and be rewarded an Internet cookie ^_^

Until Next Time,
