I decided I might as well get things moving a little bit if I wanted to finish this one day… So here's another chapter (I guess English lessons might as well be of some use…). I hope you'll like it.

Don't forget to review, so I can know what you thought of this.

First Name Basis (take one)

"Granger?"

"You know, we'll be working together all year – at least. You should try calling me Hermione. It's my name too, and it'll be easier on the both of us."

"Hermione… No, it sounds weird. I think I'll stick with Granger for now."

"As you wish," Hermione answers, and she almost feels… Not disappointed, because that can't be, but almost… Annoyed, yes, that has to be it, because there is no way she actually wants Malfoy to call her Hermione. It's all for convenience. Of course.

"So, what did you want?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I assume you didn't just call me from the other side of the room just to say my name. So, tell me Draco, what did you want?"

Something flashed in his eyes, but too quickly for her to see properly.

"Oh that… Well, I simply wanted to know if you'd join us for a couple of drinks tonight, to unwind from this stressful week. What do you say?"

She had to admit it sounded good, but still.

"I don't think I should accept. After all, the one asking me can't seem to be able to call me by my name… What does that say about him, I wonder?"

"And if he changed his mind?"

"Then I guess he'd just have to wait and see."
