And here we are the 9th chapter at last! (It turned out a little shorter than I thought it would) This chapter would have been posted on the first of the month, but it still needed work and I had to make some changes due to changes made in the final draft of chapter 8 so without further ado. I present for your considerations the Jericho **record scratch sound effect** oh wait wrong script! Anyway, here it is chapter 9 enjoy.

Chapter 9: An urgent message
~[Celestia: Near the field of virtue] ~
Thankfully, it turned out Vincent did correctly set the return coordinates on the D Hooper the two Angel Trainees made it safely back home. Unfortunately for them, they were soon spotted by the Celestial hosts on the portal. "Hey, you halt!" called a voice the twins froze as the patrol swiftly surrounded them believing the pair of misfit angels were passable demon invaders the group lowered their weapons once they saw who the "intruders" where "there is a curfew in effect for all trainees what are you doing here?" The (highest ranking celstrol host in the group asked) "nothing sir our groups training was over so we thought we'd watch the sunset" Vincent quickly said thinking fast "what's your names" "I'm Vincent and this is my sister Sakura sir" the older twin answered "As angel Trainees you should know better than being out so late head straight now if we catch you again I'll report you both to Archangel Trance" the guard said truing to leave yes sir the twins said bowing slightly before doing as they were told.
"Wow, that was close Vincent they could have seen the light from the portable if they were any closer" Sakura said to her older brother, I think they did, he remarked otherwise who did they spot right away like that."
The twins made it home without further incident, but did get a stern lecture from their mother about being home so late it had been a close call yet both knew it had been worth it.
~Netherworld: Overlords Castle~
Flonne stood near the gateway worrying about her friend had they made it safely back to Celestia? A playful poke in the back brought Flonne back to netherworld "ah, Etna!" Flonne yelped. "Hell for your thoughts." The grinning demon girl offed "Oh, I um..." the startled ex angel stammered this only made Etna's grin widen, she thought of teasing the ex angel be decided now wasn't the time. Becoming more serious. "Worrying about them?" She asked "yes, I hope Vinny and Sakura made it back safely" "if they managed to sneak out I'm sure they can sneak back in" Etna told the Blonde haired girl "so I wouldn't worry" the red haired demon advised "any way I'm going to soak in a nice hot bath and go to bed, night" Etna said with a wave "Goodnight Etna" Flonne called to the demon girls receding back
Returning to her own room Flonne she found a scroll sitting in the middle of her bed, she quickly unrolled it and read the short message.
Dear Flonne
Sorry for not letting you know sooner we got back safe Mom wasn't happy we were late getting home. We were ready for a bit of lecturing as usual, but instead we got an entire study-at-home combination source on duty and responsibility, geez

Flonne couldn't help but laugh "at least they got back safely and Master Trance didn't find out" Flonne thought to herself out loud
That night Flonne slept better than she had in days, which would turn out to be a good thing given what the new day would bring.
~Celestia: The Twins Mother's Lyberry~
With their mother attending to her duty's as an Angelic healer the twins were free to start what would become a long search of their mothers executive library. The pair had thought by lunch they would have found what they needed instead lunch had come and gone long before they found the knowledge they sought
"Here it is!" An excited Sakura shouted to her brother Vincent put down the volume he was searching to look at what his sister had found "hey your right" he said looking over the page
Angels who have be been judged by the Serifh and become fallen angels shall be stripped of their angelic powers in time they shall lose their angelic powers and become almost indistinguishable from true demons this transformation takes place in the three stages described below
Stage one
Within the first week after transformation the fallen angels, angelic energies will begin to destabilize this instability is the first sings of the lost of angelic magic Once began the progression of the in stably progress at a predictable rate the end result is a complete loss of all angelic powers first the higher level spells will be lost at the same time lower level spells become weaker at a similar rate.
Stage two
As the subject's angelic power continues to destabilize they begin to lose their angelic energies resulting a significant weakling of their remaining angelic powers within weeks of the beginnings of stage two the processes will begin to accelerate.
Stage three
The third and final stage begins as the subjects remaining magical energies stabilize it begins to transmute into mana energy, this energy well grow rapidly replacing all reaming energies once the process is completed the subject is now a fully fledged fallen angel.
"Oh wow this is really serious" Sakura said panicked "yeah, we have to let Flonne know about this." Vincent said, agreeing with his sister that things were far worse than they had imagined it of course made sense that after becoming a fallen angel Flonne would lose her angelic powers but this quickly? Nether twin or perhaps Flonne herself probably thought it would happen like this
"We have to let Flonne know right way" Sakura told her brother "right, maybe we can arrange to meet her and that demon girl Etna tonight" Vincent thought aloud "tonight?" Sakura asked "yeah we can use the hopper to sneak out tonight after mom goes to bed, we'll meet Flonne before dawn at the little hill we found her on" he explained to his younger sister "right" the - haired girl agreed.
With the plan agreed upon the twins quickly sent a message to Flonne asking her and Etna to meet them at the (training fields) before dawn.
~Netherworld: Overlords castle~
Flonne woke with a start, sitting bolt upright, in her bed, she found a small scroll sitting beside on the bed beside her she knew who it was from of course rubbing sleep from her eyes Flonne read the message now wide awake the ex angel saw the time displayed on the small clock sitting on the nightstand dressing as quickly as she could the blonde haired girl as fast and as quietly as she could, Made her way to Etna's room. She knew the demon girl would be mad about being woken up so early, but it was the only way to find out what her friends had discovered.
~Netherworld: Training Field~
"If they don't show up soon I'm really going to get mad" Etna grumbled as Flonne had predicted Etna hadn't taken kindly to being shocked awake at such an hour, "I'm sorry Etna" the former angel trainee apologized yet again "it's those two who better apologize" Etna retorted the demon girls next remark was cut off by the appearance of the swirling gate of a dimensional passageway.
"its about time" Etna snapped at the pair "my apologies Miss Etna there was no other way we're training late today and we can't risk the patrols catching us out after dark" "patrols?" Flonne asked "yes master Lamation in an effort to deescalate the peoples tensions has the celestial host patrolling key areas at the moment." this didn't surprise Etna at all"I swear a couple of demons show up and it gets all your feathers ruffled" the demon girl said, crossing her arms over her chest "So it has to be pretty important whatever you two found" Etna asked the pair "yes we found something in one of mothers texts. That would explain the misfire of Flonnes healing spell" Vincent informed the pair "And" Etna
Prompted the pair of trainees "Etna you shouldn't interrupt people while the're trying to explain something
" Flonne said scolding the red haired demon.
Continuing without further interruptions Vincent explained what the old book said about the stages of becoming a true fallen angel
"Huh, maybe the old legends are true, then" Etna said "old legends?" Vencent asked"Well, according to the legends in the history of the netherworld our healers are descended from fallen angels from Celestia" the red haired demon explained "it's said they were the first healers and that they brought the first healing and support magic to the netherworld".
"There are similar stories in the legends of Celestia" Sakura said "hey, that's right"Vencent confirmed "well then" Etna said, cutting the twins next words off. "Looks like you're in luck Flonne you should be able to use Netherworld support magic," she said, patting the ex angel on the shoulder "luckily for you Flonne we should find someone to teach you elemental magic too. Shouldn't be too hard since you Celestians have it too"
"So it should be possible then for Flonne to use demon magic" the older twin said "maybe" Etna remarked "there's only one way to find out we'll find Flonne a tutor to teach her and see what happens" "um Etna are you sure about this?" Flonne asked the demon girl "don't worry Flonne"e Etna said reassuringly "I mean what's the worst that could happen besides it's not working" the demon girl said.
Hey, hold on Vincent interrupted what's the problem Etna asked the teen aged angel trainees the text said once enough mana power has amassed a fallen angel could use demon magic the angelic boy pointed out right Etna agreed till than Flonne can practice the basics so it'll be easier once the time come the Demon girl continued the twins couldn't really argue the logic of Etna's idea.
With the morning's first light on the edge of the horizon the friends said goodbye Vincent opened the gateway home with one last wave goodbye the siblings made their way home
The twins made it home safely or so they thought "welcome back" said an all too familiar voice turning in horror they found their master waiting for them "master trance" Sakura said in panic the trainees first thought was to run, but that of course could never work how could a pair of angel trainees ever hope to escape from an archangel? "You are not in troupe" Trance said in a tone that told them if it was up to the high ranking angel, they would be in serious trouble "but you do have to come with me" Trance told the pair "where are we going master?" Vincent asked nervously "to the Seraphic Sanctuary the Seraph wishes to speak to the two of you at once."

This chapter turned out longer than I thought it was going to. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
So I was looking though my note and ideas for the Disgaea after the Darkness series and discovered something. My series no longer follows the office Disgaea timeline I started writing life as a fallen angel and working out ideas for the rest of the series before the release of Disgaea 3 when the time line looked like this:
La Pucelle Tactics-Disgaea HoD-Phantom Brave-Makai Kingdom-Disgaea 2 cursed memories
But now from my understanding it goes
LP-Disgaea HoD-Disgaea D2-Disgaea 2-Disgaea 3
With Makai and Phantom Brave sort of undefined somewhere around HoD-Disgaea D 2 timeline. So the later enters in the series are not gonna Jive with the official timeline when they get posted.
So that leaves with with three options.
A rewrite the series to match the official timeline (assuming it doesn't change again)
B Ignore the official timeline and just write the series as intended
C stick with the series as is and later write and post a corrected version of the series that fits with the official timeline
I'm thinking of going with C (I know, I know I've already got a lot on the plate why add more) but I'd like to "reboot" this series down the line and make a few more "adjustments" as well as posting the series as it was originally written before the massive rewrite that you are reading now. The reboot could also allow me to re add some of the stores that were going to be part of the series under the original writing but were removed in the rewrite revised series timeline.
You see, one of the things I wanted to do with this series was work in the changes to Flonnes skills and ability from her different appearances in the Disgaea series and the Phantom Brave,Makai Kingdom spin offs
