Squad 13 arrived on the grassy plane outside of the forest of death. Almost all of the squads had already arrived, and Anko was setting up the scrolls and making last minute preparations for the second part of the chunin exams. Squad 13 made their way through the cluster of ninja teams towards the front of the crowd. They didn't wanna be stuck at the back of the crowd, and Kai had said they were too fabulous to be stuck at the back. Corianna and Iridessa earned adorning looks for many of the male ninja and they passed through the crowd, and all three ninjas smiled with glee at their opponents. Even though it appeared they were generally happy to be there, the three ninjas were merely using this as a disguise. A couple days before the second part of the chunin exam, Kenji-Sensei had told his team some very strict and important advice: "Always act like your weak and oblivious, that way you won't be thought of as a target, or a strong opponent. And whatever you do, don't use anything to 'special' until the third and fourth parts of the chunin exam." Their sensei's words ringed in their heads repeatedly. The three ninjas turned their attention to Anko as she began her speech on the rules on regulations of the forest of death. Iridessa noticed her friend Corianna glancing to the side, and as Iridessa followed her line of sight she saw that Corianna was keeping tabs on a certain red-haired shinobi. Iridessa smiled to herself and turned her attention back to Anko.
Squad 13 along with the other ninjas were handed the required paper work and each team huddled in a circle trying to rapidly fill out the paper work. Squad 13 finished the paper work quickly, but remained huddled closely together in their circle. The three ninjas began to whisper to each other who they thought would be the greatest opponents and who would be easy to defeat. Suddenly Kai gasped and his eyes widened. Corianna and Iridessa quickly turned their heads in the direction Kai was gawking. "What is it?" Corianna whispered. All Corianna and Iridessa saw was Rock Lee's team walking past on their way to hand in their forms. Kai's expression softened and his eyes eyed up Lee. "Mmmmm…" Kai mumbled, "Check out the buns on that one." Corianna and Iridessa looked at each other in surprise and then the two of them burst out laughing. The other ninjas turned to them and gave them strange looks, but Corianna and Iridessa were almost collapsing laughing. Kai blushed and twiddled his fingers nervously. Eventually Iridessa and Corianna were able to catch their breath and both girls latched arms with Kai, and the three best friends waltzed over to the booth to hand in their forms.

After all the ninjas had handed in the forms, Anko proceeded to hand out the scrolls. The teams eagerly took the scrolls and proceeded into the forest of death. Squad 13 hung back from the crowd and once the gates were shut the three ninjas huddled into a circle. "So, what's the record time for beating this challenge?" Kai asked enthusiastically. "Ummm…I think Sensei said it was about 36 hours?" Iridessa replied wrinkling her forehead in thought. "Hahaha! We can beat that time easyyy." Corianna said with a smile on her face and a competitive passion in her eyes. The other two nodded and shared the same smile and simultaneously, the three Genin disappeared into the woods.
Kai was walking around the forest on the ground, accompanied by Iridessa and Corianna on either side of him. He made sure to keep a blank and clue less expression on his face, and he loosely gripped the heaven scroll that his team was assigned in his right hand. Even though Kai and his team looked venerable, he was smirking to himself inside. The two figures standing next to him weren't actually his team mates; they were clones that they had made from their elements. Iridessa and Corianna were secretly following in the treetops so they could attack a team when they fell for their seemingly exposed team mate. Now the only problem Kai was facing was actually finding a team that he could lure in. After about an hour of patiently wondering around the forest, Kai sensed another team hiding in the bushes close to him. He ignored his instincts and continued to obliviously walk toward the poorly hidden team. The team then lunged from the bushes and surrounded Kai and the two clones in a triangle formation. The leader of the team was a tall pale man; he was slim and had harsh hazel eyes and striking blonde hair. He wore an ill-fitting beige trench coat with black mesh shirt and black capris. Kai noted the iconic 'cloud' headband on his forehead. The cloud ninja's other two team mates were twins by the look of it, they were short, with matching brown shaggy hair and glasses. They both wore similar navy blue trousers and blazers. Kai looked innocently at the leader of the cloud ninjas.
"Um…is there something I can help you with..?" Kai asked making sure to clearly expose the heaven scroll. The leader of the cloud team glanced down and when he saw the heaven scroll a wicked grin passed over his face. "Hand over the scroll punk! And nobody gets hurt." The leader snarled at Kai. Kai looked at the leader, making sure to look as if he was about to burst into tears. The leader reached out eagerly to take away the scroll, but when his hands came close to the scroll, Kai's expression twisted into a menacing grin. The leader looked suprized but it was too late. Kai slipped the scroll into his back pocket and in the same moment grabbed the leader by the arm and pulled him towards him. Kai then kneed the leader in the stomach, making him bend over in pain. The other two cloud ninja's barely had time to analyze the situation before Corianna and Iridessa had jumped down, each girl behind one of the twins, and in one smooth motion slit their throats with a kunai. The two twins fell limp and collapsed on the muddy ground in a pool of blood. Kai then knelt down with a kunai pointed at the leader's throat, and in the most fearing voice he could manage, said "Hand over the Earth scroll." The leader glanced over at him and winced in pain. He obediently pulled out the Earth scroll and placed it in Kai's open hand. "Please…please don't kill me… I gave you what you wanted…" The cloud ninja begged. Kai looked at the helpless ninja below him, a thoughtful look on his face. "hmmmm….how about no?" Kai said smiling and he plunged the kunai into the cloud ninjas neck, and he watched as the life and blood slowly leave that poor ninjas body.
