Lily was on the deck, thinking things over. Sensei had tried to have her spill the beans, but she was under too much pressure at the moment to do so, who was he to question her in such a state?

However, Sensei was trying his best, this new enemy had everyone in quite a wrap. Cole and Andrea wont stop hallucinating, even during sleep, and Lily could only imagine the same thing is going on with Zane.

Zane...

She recalled the general, Toxis's demands when she confronted her, the words clear to her as day:

"TELL ME! TELL ME, WHERE IS ZANE!"

Just thinking about her cross words made Lily flinch, she could still hear the sound of that she-snakes voice running through her head. Perhaps some of the venom afflicted her in some way after all. She didn't take it all too lightly, Lily was the master of ghosts and spirits, and hallucinatory magic did not work on her. Although, it did work on her sister, who is basically the ninja of, well, all ninja.

Lily sighed, not knowing how to put it together. Things were supposed to make sense, right now the puzzle pieces barely fit in one place! Her mind was as confused as she was! Right now, the only questions that rang in her mind were: Who were those snakes, why did they come and fight all of a sudden? What does the general want with Zane?

That last one left her stumped. What wouldn't they want with Zane? He's pretty strong for a ninja, and plus he's a ninja android, as Lily recalled it. A "Nindroid"Lily thought for a second, then again, why all of a sudden are they appearing now? With the general crazy-mad in search for the ninja of ice?

She looked around her, realization struck her. "Speaking of him, where is Zane?" she spoke.

Zane was trying his best to not make a single sound.

He had just spotted Lloyd heading towards the castle, in search for the mysterious glow he too saw from the top window. Zane knew what that was, it was that blasted prophecy! It was attracting too much attention, Zane had to burn it somehow. That's not your thing, Zane reminded his voice. The ice ninja rolled his eyes and moved his way up the fleet of stairs before him, Lloyd was pretty good a listener for a boy, and any sudden moves in the wrong way could-

The stair he was one, creaked.

Zane immediately plastered himself against the wall. Lloyd came out from one of the rooms to see. Once his vision spotted nothing, he went back in, only to move onto the next room. Zane huffed, how much longer could he keep this up?!

The ice ninja then settled to move forward, without anymore sudden moves.

As for Lloyd, he was searching room for room for the mysterious glow, although he couldn't help notice that Andrea's family palace had a few scorch marks, here and there. The thought of a fire starting here terrified him. How did the rest of the building stay intact?

By now, the boy had checked at least, fifteen rooms, and by now he had found nothing. Zane was hoping he would leave soon, thinking that it was nothing.

He hoped.

Lloyd suddenly turned to a sudden glow in one of the rooms, he jerked his head back, making Krip pop his head out of his hair. Lloyd made his way over to the room. Zane panicked and rushed forward, looking after him. Lloyd reached Lily's room, which was almost every shade of grey. The walls had some ghoul posters, and some books on the shelves and on the floor next to the grey-sheeted bed. "We have a fan of grey here," he told himself. Krip took one look at the poster and instantly retreated into his masters locks. Lloyd chuckled, "It's alright Krip, its just a poster..."

Zane eyed him from behind the bed, he was hoping Lloyd didn't see the glowing coming from behind the books.

Lloyd had saw the light coming from behind the books.

Zane cursed and proceeded to put Lloyd to sleep. But then he remembered what he had done a day earlier, he put down the book next to him.

Lloyd pushed away the books, making Zane's anxiety worse. He then laid his eyes on the glory brought out in front of him, the half of the prophecy which was responsible for Zane's torment. The ice ninja had to do something, he had to stop Lloyd from reading what was on that page!

He crept up to him from behind, and as he prepared to take a peek-

The alarm went off.

Krip turned around to see the intruder, he screeched, alerting Lloyd of the danger. The green ninja turned immediately and gaped at Zane. "Zane? What are you-"

Zane without thinking, snatched the paper.

"Hey! ZANE?!" Lloyd yelled as he pursued his crook.

As for the other ninja, they were preparing themselves for lift-off. Jay of course took the Ultra Dragon, and Kai and flew as himself. Lily came right after, looking back as her tiny little island had shrunken away. She looked forward, ready to take on what was ahead. If I'm lucky...it'd be those Toxibrai, oh do I have plans for them...

Lloyd jumped on Zane, taking hold of his ankle. Zane yelped and tried to shake him off, "L-Lloyd!"

"Give me that paper, mister!" Lloyd snapped.

Zane winced and tried to run, but whenever he tried, Lloyd would always make him trip. Zane rubbed his head, the paper still in his grasp. Not soon however, Lloyd snatched it the moment he turned his head. "LLOYD! COME BACK HERE!" Zane screamed.

Lloyd tried to take a peek while running, but Zane was right on his tail. Krip growled and lunged forward towards the enemy. Zane felt a a small nip on his nose, he looked down to see a small snake-like dragon sinking its teeth into his nose. Lloyd looked back, he quickened his pace, he yelled back, "KRIP SLOW HIM DOWN!"

Krip bit and bit, Zane. The ice ninja rolled his eyes and politely peeled off Krip from his nostrils. Krip hissed and bit onto his ear instead. Now that hurt. "OW! Ow, LLOYD GET YOUR DRAGON TO LET GO!" Zane shouted.

Lloyd didn't listen, he was running straight for one of the rooms, he locked the door behind him, Zane knocked. "LLOYD OPEN THE DOOR AND GIVE ME THAT, NOW!" he screamed.

Lloyd winced at his tone, he blocked the door with a chair, and a desk, that should be enough to keep him out. "LLOYD!" Zane screamed.

"What's so important about this paper anyway?!" Lloyd shouted back. Zane winced and banged on the door, "PLEASE!"

"NO!"

Zane slammed his head against the door, well there goes his secret.

Lloyd read on, the golden leaders making it hard to see, the first part was mighty confusing to him, but the second part...

His eyes widened.

Zane heard silence, he knocked, "L-Lloyd?"

Lloyd looked at the door and from the paper, he was confused, but at the same time horrified.

"L-LLOYD WHAT HAPPENED-"

Zane suddenly saw a vision, not alike the ones he had been seeing for weeks...

but much worse.

Lily was in chains, his friends in cages and his teacher with them. He looked at them in horror. They were nothing but...wistful spirits?!

"G-Guys?" he whimpered, at the sight of them.

"Zane...you were a fool, look what you've done to us..." Nya echoed.

Zane panted, he looked around him, everywhere he could see the remains of his friends, his only family. He panicked, another voice joined in-

"Look what you've done to us, bringer of pain!" shouted Andrea.

Zane covered his ears, wailing moans and screams filled the room, this was all too much for him to take.

Then all of a sudden, Lily appeared before him, she was one of them too. He held back his excitement, and looked on in mortified terror, "L-Lily?"

"Yes, Zane...you have caused what one would call "monstrous", we are all in pay for what you have done." she whispered.

"W-What?" Zane uttered, shocked.

His friends being tortured, skinned and burned were haunting his mind, he shook.

"You did this to us...and for that you must pay." Lily growled.

The spirits swarmed around him, Zane didn't know where to run, he was cornered, finished!

The spirits closed in on him, taking away his soul and humanity, Zane couldn't take it anymore!

"NOOOO!"

He woke up in reality, he was against the door, with Lloyd asking him a question. "Zane...what is the meaning of t-this?" he asked.

Zane didn't know.

All he knew...was that the others were in big trouble.

He rushed out, Lloyd opened the door to find him gone, he looked at Zane as he left the palace, scared. "Zane?" he pondered.

Meanwhile, the others had just arrived at the scene, more Toxibrai had come to fight, the ninja made no hesitation whatsoever to subdue them. Jay shot lightning, Kai shot fire while Lily sent terrors into their brains. Toxis scanned the battle area, she didn't see Zane, she growled, she took out her staff and began approaching her opponents, while growling back to Toxine, "Make sure none of them escape on your watch." The general made her way through the crowd, spotting Lily a few miles ahead. She grit her teeth, "This time I'll make sure you don't return to your petty boyfriend."

Zane rushed out the palace, sensing danger. He hopped on one of the ice dragons and flew, straight for Ninjago. Krip hung onto him, Zane was too determined to notice. Lloyd saw him leave, he almost panicked. "What is he doing? I thought he was hurt!"

Lloyd scanned the island for something else, he spotted another dragon, ready to fly. Without considering it, he hopped on, the dragon screeched and tried to buck him off. Lloyd held on, "Easy! EASY!"

The dragon shrieked and took off, despite the toddler clinging to his back as the ride grew bumpy.

As for the others, they were a bit outnumbered, but with a bit of Spinjitzu, an army of snakes is nothing. Dozens of Toxibrai were falling left and right. Kai noticed Lily being tempted to come into the woods, alone with her opponents, Toxis following her. Jay noticed, "Lily's gonna get herself in trouble!"

"For once, you say something right," Kai pointed, making his way through the snake-crowd. Jay could only narrow his eyes and follow.

Lily sparred with the Toxibrai, sending them onto the floor, weeping. She growled and turned to see two individual ones who had decided to join the fight. "Well well, pretty girl, your impressive for a lady!" Poisa teased. Lily ignited her palms with ghostly essence, Poisa and her partner Toxe acted scared. "Ooh, scary flame! Not the scary flame!" Toxe cackled. Lily grit her teeth and lunged for them, they were surprised to have them get struck. Their worst fears surged through their heads as quick as bonfire, they landed on their knees and wept.

Lily could only wish this would never end, sending fear through her enemies, it was just hard to resist the sorrowful looks on their faces. She could smirk. However her festive fear-giving could be put to an end soon, Toxis was right behind her, her dagger ready and poised.

Zane flew overhead, scanning the area for Lily, or any of his friends. He spotted her no sooner than five minutes. He gasped, Toxis was going to stab her from behind. He looked down, he would have to risk it. He pat the neck of his icy dragon friend and leaped off, into the woods.

Toxis cackled. She raised her dagger, Lily didn't even have time to turn around before-

Zane landed.

Toxis shrieked. Lily turned to see the ice ninja settled on top of the Toxibrai general. She was shocked, "Zane? How did you-"

"NGRGH!" he growled. He pushed Toxis forcefully into a tree. She hissed and stabbed him, Zane hissed and punched her. Lily was too much of confused to know what was going on. The general smiled and met the eyes of fury, "So you finally decide to show up, ice breaker?!"

"You were hurting my friends. I had to," Zane growled.

Toxis frowned, she whipped Zane backwards, the ice ninja hit the tree. Lily helped him up, and therefore the ice ninja lunged straight for Toxis and the two went rolling into the forest. Lily was going to go after them when she heard her brothers cry through the trees. She gasped and noticed her two victims gone. She ran off to aid Jay and Kai while Zane and Toxis were still in a tussle.

Toxis scratched him in the chest, Zane could only roar. Toxis was taken aback, "What your an animal now?"

Zane kicked her, not seeming to care if he let his anger get the best of him. He was willing to take her down, full-on. Toxis wiped the blood of her mouth, she smiled, "I like the sound of that."

For many minutes, the two were stuck fighting one another, Zane was mostly at an advantage while Toxis was trying her best to manipulate him. Zane smirked, his teeth sharp. Toxis stared.

Toxis tried something, she punched Zane in the gut, and as he dropped, stunned, she sent him flying backwards into a tree. Zane winced, kneeling over the bark, Toxis smiled, had she done it? Zane stared at her, his eyes now turned to slits, and his teeth fanged. Toxis stopped smiling.

"RARGHHH!"

Zane lunged at her, scratching her left eye with all his might and landing as many hits as he could. Toxis shrieked and fell back. The ice ninja clenched his fists, huffing, tired. He noticed her getting up, and readied himself. But at the sight of her once, left eye, his eyes widened. Toxis's eye was scratched out, left with bloody scars that were permanent. Her eye was clouded, now useless. Zane had half-blinded her.

Toxis spat at the soil, her teeth bared, "W-Why...y-you little-"

She stopped as she saw his fingers, she gasped. Zane looked down to see his fingers, he shook.

They were bloody claws.

Zane looked at his other hand and found the same result, he looked back at Toxis and twitched. The general eyed him, as if she was looking at a monster. As for the ice ninja, he looked fearfully at her and ran into the woods, as far as he could. Toxis laid there, trying to comprehend what she had just seen.

Lily had just returned with the others intact, those two snakes were a handful, along with these two. She hoped to find Zane in the spot he once was, but looked around only to find nothing. "Zane?" she asked.

"What?" Kai questioned.

"He was...right here, fighting against the general," Lily replied.

"But...isn't Zane back at the hideo-"

"I know what I saw!" Lily snapped. Kai shut up.

She looked around for him, only to find nothing.

"Zane? Zane!? ZANE!" she yelled.

She got no response. _

[aaand, there we go! Chapter 10 is up and boy its quite a long one! I hope you guys bear with me on this one, it was quite fun to make along with the fact Krip tried to bite Zane's nose, aw ^^ still, it was pretty cute. However, this chapter doesn't have comic relief alone, it also had suspense! As I had left off with yet, another cliff-hanger, so I hope you enjoyed this weeks chapter as much as I had enjoyed writing it. Again, bear with me, I typed this myself and it was hard!
