I AM SOOOO SORRRRRYYYYYYYYY! You guys definitely didn't deserve my super long hiatus break. I didn't even so much as warn you guys! *sighs* Oh well, there's no need to regret now. Reasons: 1) A serious case of Writer's Block. Y'all already had that right? 2) Don't call me crazy, but I rewrote my whole story...Okay, pretty crazy...but y'all should read that, so my efforts won't be wasted...Pretty please? No? Okay then. Anyway, thanks to Ninjago's new episodes for reminding me of this story! Thanks Ninjago!

I still miss the old Ninjago with the Golden Weapons and the high-tech was the flying Destiny's Bounty ship...and I still haven't forgiven them for making Nya have a crush on Cole (No offense NyaXCole shippers.) but other than that, thanks!

Also, I would like to credit these songs:

Haunted, Innocent, Eyes Open, and Safe and Sound (For Jay/Nya and Kai and Nya moments) by Taylor Swift

It's Time, Demons, Who We Are, and Nothing Left to Say by Imagine Dragons

I seriously recommend that you guys listen to these songs while reading my story. They were the ones that gave me inspiration. Feel free to suggest songs for me to listen to. :) The more inspiration songs I listen to, the faster I write stories.

Disclaimer: I do not own Ninjago nor its characters.

Jay's P.O.V.

When we finally found our Golden Weapons, we decided to split up and search for Nya. Cole ordered us, actually, but no one disagreed. Though I don't think they were as worried about Nya as I am. I'm not saying that they weren't worried for her, they were still worried, yeah...

...But setting their hearts on finding Nya was the only way to distract them from worrying about Kai.

I don't blame them. Kai was a trainwreck on our already broken day. Just when we thought things were bad enough—the Samurai stealing the spotlight yet again from us—Kai just comes in and gets himself in trouble. Well, if we were extra worried about Kai, I'd hate to think what Nya was going through. Just chilling on the Bounty until us ninja came without her brother. I felt guilty.

We were one heck of a great team, coming home without our favorite fire ninja.

My cellphone rang. I checked it and found out I got a text message. It was from Cole, saying that we should go meet back up in what Zane said to be Nya's dungeon. I raised an eyebrow.

Wow, you'd think you wouldn't get phone service underground.

After a while, I arrived in Nya's cell at the same time the others did. I immediately saw in their faces that they found nothing. I sighed.

"So, nothing right?" I asked. They nodded. I frowned.

"I hate to admit it, but we're wasting enough time already." Cole said. Zane nodded.

"Perhaps we should just—" Zane stopped mid-sentenced. He stiffened.

"What's wrong Zane?" Cole asked. Zane looked at us, a gleam in his eyes.

"I have just found Nya." He said, smiling. I widened my eyes.

"Nya?! Where?!" I exclaimed, looking around. Suddenly, a blur of red crashed into me. I yelped as I collapsed, the red figure on top of me.

"Right there." Zane pointed at the red and blue pile that is Nya and I, on the floor. Jay groaned. Nya widened her eyes.

"Jay?" She asked, disbelief was clear in her voice. I only gave a grunt in reply. Zane helped Nya up.

"Thanks." She muttered.

I groaned as I stood up and dusted myself off. Thanks for helping me up too, Zane. I sighed. I'll worry about that later. Right now, Nya was my first priority. She looked like she had gone through a lot. She looked like a wreck, but she was still as pretty as always...

Um, I mean...She looked worse than the last time we saw her. Her hair was very messy. Some strands were sticking out at very weird angles. Her clothing was torned and dirty. It was actually so dusty that some parts looked more gray than red. What was most striking was her eyes though.

They kept moving, looking from one place to another. They showed feelings of fear, anxiety and worry. They seemed slightly crazed. I was instantly reminded of the caged lion I once saw at the zoo. I didn't need to have Zane's senses to tell that she saw something absoutely terrifying.

"Are you alright?" I asked her. She subtly nodded her head.

"Yeah, I'm alright." She said. She had a vacant stare while she answered me. She was looking at nothing in particular, as if she just zoned out then and there. I instantly grew worried. She was kinda creeping me out.

"Nya?" I asked, anxious. She blinked back into reality.

"Yeah, Jay?"

"You're not okay." She sighed and slumped against the wall. She closed her eyes tight, like she was forcing herself not to cry. Zane put a hand on her shoulder. She opened her eyes in shock.

"May I ask what happened?" He said. Zane's expression was comforting, but stern. Nya sighed again.

"Yeah..." She explained how she encountered Kai in an underground stadium, looking even worse than when we last saw him. She explained that the Serpentine were planning something behind Pythor's back, and it looked as bad (if not worse) as releasing the Great Devourer itself. Sometime in the middle of her story-telling, she slid down the wall she was slumped at. We all sat near her.

All of us gasped in shock when Nya told us the story of the big cloud of destruction that appeared in the stadium. She said it was destroying everything it hit, living or not. Serpentine or not, I feel sorry for the annoying little guys.

"And Kai?" Cole asked. Nya shook her head sadly.

"He didn't do a thing to help them." She answered. I flinched. Kai couldn't be that cruel, could he? Nya looked up.

"...Then I got out of there and ran into you guys." She concluded, forcing a smile. It quickly died out the second she put it on. A disturbing moment of silence passed between us.

"So what are we supposed to do?" I asked, breaking the silence. No one, not even Zane—the guy who knew all the answers—spoke up. Cole looked like he was just about to say something when a boom of thunder was heard. I gasped. "What was that?" I asked, panic rising in my voice. Nya visibly stiffened.

"That was..." She was interrupted by a loud crash unto the cave wall behind us.

"We gotta check that out!" Cole exclaimed, leading the way, as usual. We all followed behind him. We reached an underground stadium—most likely the one Nya found earlier—to see it completely empty. There was no sign of life anywhere.

"B-but that's impossible!" Nya managed to exclaim. "Th-they were here a minute a-ago." I looked at her, concerned. She looked like she was about to explode.

"My senses tell me that they have all teleported somewhere in the surface." Zane said. I raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean, teleported?" I asked.

"It means that they all simultaneously disappeared." Zane said, copying my tone. I ground my teeth. All the worry and anxiety I had was uncharacteristically coming out.

"How is that even possible?!" I debated, my techno geek side surfacing. "No technology like that has even been invented yet! Don't tell me that the Serpentine suddenly developed the power to teleport!" Cole looked just about ready to slam his scythe on the ground.

"That's enough, Jay." Cole interrupted, clearly frustrated. "We'll worry about that weird teleporting thing later. Right now, our priority is finding out where in Ninjago are the Serpentine." I looked away, crossing my arms.

"Fine..." I muttered. Still, I glanced at the now empty stadium. How did the Serpentine teleport all at once? I hope it isn't something we should worry about in the future. It's bad enough already that the Serpentine are roaming about, causing mayhem in Ninjago. How much more damage can the Serpentine do with teleportation powers?

As soon as we got to the surface, we stopped in awe at the big mass of destruction in front of us. However Nya had described it, it was a billion times worse. The massive cloud of destruction stretched out toward Ninjago knows where. It dispensed lightning, rock, ice and fire at very random places, destroying anything it touches. I saw Cole flinched whenever that thing dispensed rock. I could relate to that.

Seeing lightning destroy even the smallest places made me guilty, even though I wasn't the actual cause. Then something clicked inside my head.

"Didn't the prophecy say that fire will destroy the whole surface of the world? Then why is our elements included in this whole fiasco?" I asked.

"Because your elements are like the opening in a big show!" We all turned around swiftly to see Sensei Wu. His unnaturally clean white clothes now looked naturally dirty. His long white beard was flying around, and he held unto his straw hat to avoid it from flying away.

"Sensei! What are you doing here?" Nya asked. I almost sighed in relief. At least Nya was talking properly again.

"I feared the worst will happen." He explained. "You ninja have gotten yourselves into an even bigger battle than you expected."

"Is it really that bad?" I asked. Sensei just looked at me sternly. I gulped the gathering saliva in my mouth. A really tough battle, huh? Awesome...

"I'm glad that you like my creation." A gruff, but familiar voice said. I tensed. Kai was here.

"You just love dramatic entrances, don't you?" I said sarcastically. Kai smirked at me. Those blood red eyes looked like he was looking into my soul—a common Serpentine thing.

"I take pride in them, thank you." He said. Nya gasped.

"What happened to your arm?" She asked. We all looked at Kai's arm. Horrible wounds—it looked like it was made by a whip—were there. Kai shrugged.

"A small price for discipline." He stated plainly. Nya flinched. Sensei Wu stepped forward.

"Kai, must you forget who you are?!" He screamed, making Kai look at him with a raised eyebrow.

"And you are...?" Sensei Wu furrowed his eyebrows.

"Did you really forget, young grasshopper?" He said. Kai widened his eyes.

"Oh, you're the Sensei!" Kai exclaimed, faking an innocent smile. "Nice to meet you, pops." I glanced at Sensei. He looked pretty angry About the whole Kai calling Sensei pops thing. A mental image of Kai getting his butt kicked again by Sensei Wu made me chuckle, despite the tension.

"Oh, you did not just do that!"

Sorry guys, have to stop it for now. Sorry if the story was too fast-paced. That's what happens when I force myself to write. :/ Don't worry, I'll make it extra longer next time. I've decided that since the story's about to end, (*tries not to cry*) I'll give each ninja one whole chapter where they can express all their thoughts, etc. in the P.O.V. That way, everybody's happy! Right? *cricket sounds* Yeah...

...Since I didn't warn you guys last time, I'll warn you now. This week's the Holy Week. It's a week where we contemplate and reflect on Jesus's sacrifice for us, (A Catholic's tradition, if you guys want.) and on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Black Saturday, my mom says that we're not supposed to do and watch anything that is not about God, (I don't know if other Catholics do this too) so that means no story-writing...(And no Ninjago watching either) So don't expect me to update this week. Anyway, author's note is long enough, so if I'm not just talking to myself, please review! :D
