CHAPTER 10

Erza sighed at leant back. "Wow. So you are from a far off land called Karakura where magic is very rare."

Ichigo nodded. "Yep."

"And you discovered you could use sword magic because a girl came in the window because she wanted to catch a butterfly that was important to her magic." Erza looked slightly sceptical, but she went with it. "And she decided to take you on as a disiple."

Ichigo nodded.

"But she was not doing it for good." Erza looked at Ichigo for confirmation, and he nodded yet again. "She really wanted to use you because she thought your body was perfect for the job. And the job was...um... letting an evil, powerful, nearly dead mage use your body to regain all his strength and take over the world with."

Ichigo nodded, and pretended to look worried.

"But you managed to find out, but she'd already sealed him inside you. And she tried to get him to take over your body to destroy the world, but you had a stronger will than she expected and you regained control over your body."

"Yup." Said Ichigo, still nodding.

"And you defeated her, and she disappeared, and you haven't seen her since." Erza said. "But he's still sealed inside your body, so sometimes he takes over your body. And because that he's in your body, he's altered your voice, and as you've discovered recently," Ichigo didn't say how recently, "your eye."

Ichigo nodded one final time. "And I decided to come to Magnolia, and join the famous Fairy Tail."

Erza nodded. "That makes sense. I guess the way you arrived makes more sense now too."

Ichigo shrugged. "Just something she taught me."

"Was that what you were telling Makarov?" Erza asked.

"Yeah, I guess." Actually, he'd told Makarov the truth, but not all of it. He only did it because he could feel the hidden power that Makarov had, and Ichigo did not want to be caught lying to him and have to fight him or what ever Makarov might decide to do. But he'd come up with the idea for this lie when talking with Makarov. He just didn't think it was necessary for anyone else who asked to know the truth behind Shiro.

"And, just to get this straight, the mage sealed inside you's name is Shiro and he's a blood thirsty maniac."

"Yep." Ichigo started to stand up from the bench. "I think that's all there is to it."

"Thanks for telling me." Erza bowed her head respectfully. "You didn't have to."

Ichigo shook his head. "Uhuh. I had to tell someone powerful, so I could rely on them to stop Shiro if I can't manage to regain control before something bad happens."

Erza turned her to hide to blush. "I'm not that powerful..." She turned back around and stuck a superhero pose. "Who am I kidding? I'm amazing!"

Ichigo gave a small smile. "Well, I'll be on my way then."

Erza nodded and waved while he walked off, not bothering to tell him that the guild was the other way. A few minutes after he had left her sight, he came back, running in the opposite direction, this time towards the guild.

Ichigo stared up at the guild. It really was impressive. He pushed open the front door, and spotted the chaos within. He sighed, and started to creep around the edge of the ruckus towards the job board. He should get out into the world, and find out as much as he can for personal experience. How else is he meant to find a way home?

A snicker brought him back to reality, or to be exact, the reality inside his head,

~Oi King, already looking for a way back? You sure are impatient. And that story you told. Me wanting to take over the world? I want to cause destruction, not rule the world. The only person I wanna rule is you, and it's becoming more and more of an achievable goal.~

Great, so Shiro was listening to that.

Ichigo stopped in front of the job board, and pretended to be deep in thought searching for the perfect job.

It is? You know what Shiro? We still need to have a little talk about what you did to me. I don't like the idea of having to merge or what ever it is that you supposedly did to me.

~All in good time King. All in good time.~

Ichigo groaned out loud. Stupid stubborn hollow living inside his head.

~I heard that.~

Ichigo resisted the urge to bang his head against the job board.

"Looking for a job?" Piped up a new voice next to him.

Ichigo turned, and looked, but there was no-one there. A little cough made him look down and the short bluenette giving him a friendly smile while taking a job off the board.

"This looks good." She murmured, giving it a quick once over. She looked back up at Ichigo. "I'm Levy McGarden. You're Ichigo, aren't you?"

Ichigo nodded.

"Nice to meet you." She turned to leave, but paused and turned her head back towards Ichigo for a second. "If you ever need any help with translating any written text or runes, I'll be glad to lend you a hand."

"Thanks," Ichigo dipped his head in acknowledgement. He watched her walk over a table and show the paper to two guys who looked like they idolized her.

~Reminds me of that short Soul Reaper that you always hang out with.~

Rukia?

~Whatever.~

Ichigo shrugged, and returned his attention to the board. He quickly grabbed a random one after a couple minutes of glaring at the board, and not being able to decide on anything. He took it over to the bar, where Mira was polishing glasses and Lucy and Natsu were having an argument. He sat down, and placed the paper in front of him.

Mira put down her glass and came over to him. "Having trouble working out where that is?" she asked sympathetically.

"Yeah."

She gave a understanding smile. "I remember my first mission too. I had no idea where to go, and one of the older members had to help me. Let's see what you picked from the board." She flicked the sheet around so she could read it, and gave a smile. "Nice choice. Easy job and a nice amount of money. Shouldn't be too hard. You should get someone to go with you if you want, it may make it easier."

Lucy leaned over, the argument with Natsu finished. "Natsu and me will go with you if you like."

"We will?" Natsu asked, and Lucy pulled his ear. "Owowow! Okay! We will!"

Ichigo shrugged. "You don't have to if you don't want to."

Lucy looked at him. "But I want to. Now let's see what we're going to have to do." She grabbed the sheet from where it lay, and read it. Her eyes widened. "Just catching two small gold robbers for that much money? Now I'm definitely coming. She stood up, and Natsu stood too. Ichigo, feeling this was something he should do, did it too. "Meet back here in twenty." And with that, Lucy and Natsu raced out the door for what ever reason.

Ichigo shrugged and sat back down to wait.

AN: Was there a lot of nodding in this chapter or was it just me?

This mini arc is gonna last two or three chapters, but after that, I was wondering, would you guys like me to do the Edolas arc but with Ichigo there too and maybe have him find a way to get home, or write up some random arc off the top of my head that ends in Ichigo going home? I kinda wanna do Edolas, but I thought I'd ask you guys first...

Read and Review! Thanks.
