Akhil100 here! As usual, I bring to you a whole new chapter of Pokémon Blaze. After the first round, Aki and 31 other Trainers advance to the second round. But unfortunately, someone stands in Aki's way to win the Fighting tournament.

1. The second Fighting Tournament began.

2. Aki defeated Kiyo and advanced to the second round.

3. Chuck defeated Brawly and advanced to the second round.

4. Marshal and Bruno also advanced to the second round.

Chapter 10 – Gotta Beat That Lucario!

Arena 2

The arena was full like all other arenas. The huge screen showed a young boy and his Sawk on the right side and a roughneck with his Emboar on the left side. The two Trainers along with their Pokémon stood at each sides of the arena. The viewers in the gallery were waiting for the battle to start.

"Are both sides ready?" The commentator asked. The boy, Aki, nodded. The roughneck did the same, except that he had a smirk on his face. "Let the battle begin!" The referee said out loud.

"Sawk, use Low Sweep" Aki called out. Sawk charged at his opponent and slide on the floor to kick Emboar's legs.

"Emboar, jump up and crush him with Body Slam!" The roughneck commanded. Just before Sawk finished his move, Emboar jumped up. It then came down to crush its opponent under its body.

"Sawk, roll out of there!" Aki cried out. Just in a nick of time, Sawk rolled out of where Emboar landed. Sawk then got up and waited for his Trainer's orders. "That was close! I actually thought that Sawk would be crushed like grapes. That Sawk sure got some skills" The commentator said.

"Emboar, use Fire Punch!" The roughneck commanded. His Emboar ran at Sawk with its right fist covered in fire. "Low Kick" Aki countered.

Sawk ducked down and swung his leg, tripping Emboar who fell on the floor. "Now use Karate Chop!" Aki followed up with another command.

Emboar got up just to receive a karate chop on the left arm by Sawk. "EMBOOARR!" It cried in pain. "That's got to hurt. Is this the end for Emboar?" The commentator commented.

"Hell no! Emboar, use Hammer Arm." The roughneck commanded. He was getting worried about winning. The smirk he had on his face when the battle began had disappeared.

Although it was tired, Emboar once again ran towards Sawk with its right fist glowing. "Block it and then finish it Close Combat!" Aki gave his final command.

Sawk caught Emboar's arm and then delivered a rapid fury of punches. "Saaawk!" Sawk said as he finished off Emboar with a final uppercut. Emboar fell to the floor with its eyes swirly.

"Emboar is unable to battle, Sawk win! And the winner of the battle is Akhil from Unova!" The referee held the green flag at Aki's side. "Yes! We have a winner, folks. We'll see Akhil again in the third round. Everyone, take a short break before the next battle starts!" The commentator said.

Sawk bowed before his knocked out opponent and walked back towards Aki who ran towards him and gave him a warm hug. Flame jumped up and down in joy. The roughneck recalled his Pokémon and left the arena muttering.

Arena 3

The battle in arena no. 3 had already started. It was between Chuck, the Cianwood gym leader, and a black belt. Chuck's Poliwrath had managed to damage the opposing Toxicroak severely. Both Pokémon were breathing heavily.

"Let's finish this. Poliwrath, use Ice Punch!" Chuck commanded. "Toxicroak, use Poison Jab!" The black belt countered.

Both Pokémon charged at each other. But Toxicroak was fast enough to uppercut Poliwrath into the air with the red claw on its hand. It then jumped up to do another Poison Jab.

"Hydro Pump!" Chuck cried out loud. Whilst mid-air, Poliwrath let out a huge blast of water at Toxicroak who was closing on to it. The force of the water blasted Toxicroak on to the floor and knocked it out in the process.

"Toxicroak is unable to battle, Poliwrath wins. And the winner of the battle is Chuck from Johto!" The referee held the green flag towards Chuck and Poliwrath.

The gallery erupted into cheers. Chuck walked towards his Pokémon and congratulated it. He then waved at his fans in the gallery and slowly walked out of the arena.

Arena 1

"Use Aerial Ace/Mach Punch!" Two Trainers commanded at the same time. Their Pokémon, a Hawlucha and a Breloom, charged at each other to clash at the middle of the battlefield.

Korrina, the Shalour city Gym Leader, was battling a veteran and his Breloom with her Hawlucha. The battle had just started. Like always, the gallery was full. Aki and Flame too were watching the battle. But they weren't familiar with the Pokémon used by Korrina.

"Breloom, use Drain Punch!" The veteran called out. Breloom charged at Hawlucha with a spinning energy covering its right fist.

Korrina spun around on her roller-skates and commanded, "Hawlucha, dodge it and then finish it off with Sky Drop!"

Hawlucha dodged Breloom's punch and then caught it by the hip. "Haaw…." Hawlucha said loudly as it took off in to the sky like a rocket with Breloom. The two Pokémon had disappeared from everyone's view.

"Luu…" A voice was heard followed by Hawlucha coming down at high speed towards the ground. "CHHAA!" Hawlucha crashed into the ground along with Breloom. A smokescreen filled the battlefield. When the smoke cleared, Breloom was clearly knocked out with Hawlucha hovering above the ground with a smirk on its face.

"Breloom is unable to battle, Hawlucha wins. The winner of the battle is Korrina from the Kalos region!" The referee declared.

Korrina delightfully spun around and then skated over to her Pokémon. She hugged it with joy and then waved at the gallery. She then returned Hawlucha to its Pokéball and then skated out of the arena.

Arena 4

"The battle between Uncle Psychic from Kanto and Alice Greenlands from Unova is about to begin!" The commentator announced.

"It's Mr. Psychic, you crazy little lad!" Mr. Psychic said angrily. Actually, he didn't like being called 'uncle'.

"Let the battle begin!" The referee said loudly.

"Gurdurr, I choose you!" Alice said throwing her Pokéball into the air. A gray colored Pokémon of about 4 feet height appeared from it. It was holding a red I-beam.

"Gallade, I need your assistance!" Mr. Psychic too called out his own Pokémon, the powerful Gallade.

"Gurdurr, use Drain Punch!" Alice commanded. Her Gurdurr charged at Gallade with its right fist covered in spinning energy.

"Block it and use Leaf Blade!" Mr. Psychic countered.

Gallade crossed his arms to block Gurdurr's punch. He then followed up with a close-range Leaf Blade.

"Use Strength!" Alice commanded. "Grab it and use Fire Punch!" Mr. Psychic once again countered.

Gurdurr jumped and tried to hit Gallade in the head with its steel beam. But Gallade caught it just in time and pulled it, followed up by a fiery punch in Gurdurr's face. Gurdurr slammed into the arena wall by the force. Gurdurr tried getting up. He succeeded, but he was heavily damaged.

"That would be enough Gallade. Come back" Mr. Psychic told him. Everyone in the arena, including Alice and Gurdurr, was surprised by it. Gurdurr hadn't fainted but still, Mr. Psychic is leaving. But Gallade wasn't surprised as if he had done this before.

Gallade bowed before his opponent and started to follow his Trainer who was leaving the battlefield. Gurdurr, who was astonished, fell to the ground right after Gallade turned back.

"Gurdurr is unable to battle, Gallade wins. And the winner of the battle is Mr. Psychic from Kanto!" The referee declared.

"Wow! What was that?" Aki, who was watching the battle from the gallery, asked Flame who was sitting beside him. Mr. Psychic slowly walked out of the arena, followed by his Gallade.

Arena 2

Aki's third round battle was about to begin in Arena No. 2. His opponent was a famous Gym Leader from Sinnoh. She seemed very energetic and tomboyish.

"The battle between Akhil from Unova and Maylene from Sinnoh is about to begin!" The commentator announced. "Are both Trainers ready?" The referee asked to confirm. Aki and Maylene both nodded. "Then let the battle begin!"

"Lucario, come on out!" Maylene called out her trusted partner. "Ri-Rio!" The blue Pokémon stood proudly in the battlefield, waiting for its opponent.

"Who's that Pokémon?" Aki asked himself. He took out his Pokedex and scanned it.

"Lucario, the Aura Pokémon, and the evolved form of Riolu. By sensing the aura of its opponents, Lucario can read their thoughts and movements" the Pokedex explained. Aki then turned it off and put the Pokedex back in his pocket.

"I have heard of you. But I thought you were a legendary Pokémon. Guess not" Aki said. Flame, who was on sitting on Aki's shoulder, agreed.

"Will you please send out your Pokémon?" The referee asked politely.

"Oh, yeah! Go, Sawk!" Aki called out his Sawk into the battle. "Let's start. Sawk, use Brick Break!" Aki commanded his first move.

Sawk jumped up and came down to strike Lucario from above. But Lucario simply moved to the side without being given any commands by his Trainer and dodged the attack.

"Lucario, use Bone Rush!" Maylene commanded. "Dodge it!" Aki too gave off his command.

Lucario formed a light green bone of energy and charged at Sawk with it. Maylene was imitating Lucario's actions. Lucario began to hit Sawk with the bone. Sawk tried his best to dodge the first few hits, but was caught off guard and hit rapidly by the following hits. "SAWK!" Sawk cried in pain.

"Oh no, Sawk!" Aki cried out. "Don't give up. Sawk, use Bulk Up!"

Sawk got up and became surrounded in crimson aura. He then flexed his mucles, increasing his strength.

"Lucario, show them you Aura Sphere!" Maylene commanded.

"Lu… Ca-Rio!" Lucario said as he formed a blue sphere of aura between his palms and shot it at Sawk. "Dodge it!" Sawk quickly moved to the side and dodge the attack. But the sphere made a u-turn and hit Sawk from behind.

"Oh crap, I forgot that Aura Sphere never misses" Aki said to himself.

"Lucario, use Force Plam!" Maylene commanded.

Her Lucario ran at Sawk and then suddenly stopped in front of him. Lucario placed his right hand on Sawk chest and smirked at him. Sawk was a bit surprised by it, so was Aki. Suddenly, a huge blast of energy was shot from Lucario's palm, blast Sawk across the battlefield.

"Sawk is unable to-" The referee began to declare the winner but he was suddenly cut off by Aki. "He can still battle. I know he can!" Aki said out loud. It surprised everyone in the arena. Like Aki said, Sawk slowly got up and glared at his opponent.

"That's one determined Sawk and Trainer!" The commentator said.

"Well, this reminds me of someone" Maylene said to herself.

"I've gotta find his weakspot" Aki whispered to himself. "Charmy…" Flame called Aki as if he found out something. "Char… Charima-Mandi-Chari" Flame said pointing at Lucario's feet. Although he didn't realize it at first, Aki suddenly noticed it. "Exactly! Thanks Flame!"

"Alright. Sawk, use Brick Break!" Aki told his Sawk. He winked at Sawk, signalling a strategy. Sawk nodded and ran at Lucario with his right fist glowing.

"What an arrogant move. Use Force Palm!" Maylene said and ordered her Lucario to repeat their last attack.

Just as Sawk got closer, Lucario stopped him and placed a hand on his chest like before. Lucario read Sawk's mind for a second and suddenly got shocked. He knew what Sawk was upto but couldn't do anything to block it.

"Now!" Aki commanded. Sawk ducked and swept its leg at Lucario's feet and made him fall on to his knees. "Now use Brick Break!" Aki followed up with another command.

Sawk stood up and landed a powerful karate-chop on Lucario's shoulder. "RIO!" Lucario cried out loud in pain.

"That was super-effective! A well-planned strategy for sure!" The commentator said.

"Finish it off with Close Combat!" Aki commanded. Maylene got a bit worried. Her Lucario was weak to fight back. She knew that this was the end.

Sawk delivered a rapid fury of punches to Lucario. He then finished it off with an uppercut which made Lucario fell on his back. Lucario, unable to get up, laid on the battlefield.

"Lucario is unable to battle, Sawk wins! The winner of the battle is Akhil from Unova!" The referee declared.

"Wow! That was a turn of events! I never expected a Lucario to be defeated. I actually thought they were legendaries" The commentator joked. "Anyways, we have a winner. Akhil Palissery!"

Aki was full of joy. He ran to the battlefield and gave Sawk a tight hug. They had just defeated a mighty Pokémon whom he thought to be a legendary. Maylene, on the other side, consoled her Pokémon and returned him to his Pokéball. She then gave Aki a shake hand before leaving the arena silently. Aki waved at the gallery to have erupted into cheers. He then realized that he just got himself some fans. This surely had made his day.

Did you know that Victreebel and Feraligatr lack letters in their names due to the 10 letter name rule that existed till Gen V. Even though the rule was extended to 12 letters in Gen VI, their names wasn't changed.
