A/N: Hey, to all of you out there, sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been pretty busy lately. Like last year, in these months I kinda focus more on my studies and thus lack on updating anything, completely, it especially reinforces that this year because I am currently in highschool and grades actually do count now, for colleges. So, if I take a while, bear with me, ok? And as you've probably already noticed, this isn't an actual chapter… but it does have significance since it will show a little of Alice's and Ikuto's past a bit, it's slightly different- the pasts, I mean- now then how I had it before I revised the story, as you all know. Anyway, I've kept you reading this long enough, however I am still not done so when you finish this omake please read the end note because I have some more things to say, and if you don't, well… let's face it, it'd probably do the same so I can forgive you for that. Onward.

Quote of thee day:

"I'm the only one who can help her because I have applesauce." – Aaron (Walking Dead)

"Y-You… killed my friend! …Why…why would you do that…? Do you hate me that much?!

'… I di-!

-Yes, you must seriously do. What did my mother expect from our encounter exactly? Yes… It's the same as the others. In the end, both end up hating one another. Hate, yes, hate… We hate each other- right! After all, why else would you kill my only friend? Yes, friend… friends. We'll never be that, why did I expect no less? I should've just left you alone as the others have done and did to me. Yes… alone… that's my destiny, why else would my friend be dead, Ikuto." – Younger, more vulnerable Alice to Ikuto, and newly-born, Yoru, after the death of her 'friend'.

Recommendation-

Listen to 'U dont know (feat. Wayne Coyne) by Alison Wonderland' when reading this chapter, you don't have to, but it's just a suggestion. Onward.

The Friend that was once Hers- Ikuto's and Alice's Omake 1 of 5:

PLACE: Tokyo, Japan

DATE: XXXX 19th, XXXX

TIME: 6:30 P.M

SETTING: Outskirts of town

'So… She did manage to defeat him after all, huh?' Ikuto stood on top of a nearby lamp post outside of the old dorm. He watched as all the 'Guardians' and Alice came out of the building. Following their every movement with his eyes, he confirmed that they were fine, or… at least as fine as they could be. Despite them being cheerful for their accomplishment of defeating Nikaidou, only one held a solemn expression, and that was obviously Alice. She was the one always never cheerful or happy in the end.

"She's… she's always frowning and sad-nya." Yoru spoke as he watched the younger children along with Ikuto. "Just like back then, but… she's lightened up since then, hasn't she?"

"Yeah," he replied, nodding, his eye's never leaving the solemn girl's figure as she began to disappear out of sight along with her 'friends'. "Of course she has, she's needed too. After all, her life's more fucked up now, from loneliness to abandonment and now being forced to pay away a debt that isn't even hers? Life isn't fair for us both."

'Despite us always being at odds, ever since we've met, the thing that she must hate me the most for is…'

"Let's go."

"Mm-nya."

As Yoru floated away to where ever their new destination was, Ikuto stayed behind for a moment. He looked back down at the path the other's had taken, and with a final back turn and glance, he jumped away.

'…Is the undeniable fact that we are the same. Right, "Stray Crow?"

'We are the same…'

That was the sentence that formed in his head the moment he had witnessed this girl's actions and sadness towards her lost friend. And… it was all because of him she was lonely once more.

That wasn't last time, either.

Ever since we were younger, the moment we met, she and he had an immediate dislike for each other. They bickered often when we were kids and those bickers even continued to this day. After all, she hated him for killing her friend, and he just simply also… hated her…

She saved him though, she saved the chi-man who killed her one, only friend. It's absurd.

'We are the same…'

Liar.

That was the sentence that formed in his head the moment he witnessed my actions and my sadness towards my lost friend. And… because of that, she was lonely once more. But, it made her stronger.

However, it wasn't the last time either he did that, there was more, and there was more to come.

Ever since they were young brats, the moment they had met, he and she immediately disliked each other. They fought often when they were kids, and they still continued to this day. After all, she hated him for killing her only friend, and he hated her for keeping that power from him.

End of story.

Yet, she still saved him. It's absurd… Because after that, he said those words to her.

'We are the same…

…I'm the liar, because I'm in denial. I would never admit it, despite him already knowing, but…

Right, Alice?'

I hate him the most for that. For… it's true. Ikuto and I, we are the same.

"It… was my one and only friend… Their name was Cypher. I've erased them from my memory temporarily, for now, but…" – Yotsuki Alice to…?

"Alice-chan," a young girl sitting on a nearby swing, turned at the sound of my mother's calm voice calling her name. Turning, the young girl saw her mother with two other people, instantly remembering who those people were. Her mother was with that man… and that boy they had invited over to the hotel earlier. She remembered them because the boy was weeping earlier.

'So…they are staying. I guess I have to greet them…' The girl was never one to enjoy meeting stranger's after all, but when it came to mother, she…

"Alice-chan, come here please." She called once more. The girl named Alice, went over and her mother pushed her forward a little towards the people to introduce herself.

She…

The moment Alice had glanced at the boy, she said this, "This boy looks like a cat… weird."

'…She was rude to them even more than usual, so they'd just leave her alone. She had always hated the people that mother introduced her too.'

"Alice!" Her mother scolded her angrily. The previous smile and calmness surrounding the beautiful woman was now gone as she began to scold her daughter right there in front of the man and the weird neko boy. As her mother did so, glancing out of the corner of her eye, Alice saw the neko boy attempting to hold back his snickers. Seeing that, she began to instantly glare at him, and he returned the favor.

"Alright, Ikuto-kun." The man spoke gently, cutting in between their childish, bitter glare war. As placed his hand on the now newly-named Ikuto, he directed his attention towards Alice, in which she suddenly became very shy. She wasn't used to being noticed or looked at very often, especially by a stranger who seemed different.

The man was about in his early years of adulthood, however unlike many of young men Alice has met, he seemed to have this wise and mysterious aura around him. The glint in his violet eyes were unreadable as he looked at her, apparently not minding being investigated by her now probing eyes. Noting that, she also noticed he was also very handsome looking as well, despite also retaining some strange feminine, beautiful features that could rival her mother's.

Not seemingly noticing anything else of this man- besides his ash blonde hair that was unusual for a Japanese man- Alice finally took a moment to blink, making the man see he could now introduce himself to the youngling in front of him.

"So," the man kneeled in front of Alice as he began to speak with her. His gaze was warm and his smile was gentle as he spoke to her. "Your name is Alice, nee?"

Shyly looking down since she wasn't used to actually introducing herself either, she slightly nodded and slowly spoke up. "Hai. My name is Yotsuki Alice, nice to meet you…" She bowed down respectively as her mother taught her to do ever since she could remember and slightly peeking up, she saw Tsukasa return the favor, smile never once faltering. His mysterious aura seemed to grow.

Seeing this, Alice concluded that this man, as their eyes met once more, this man… He was a strange person.

When both straightened up once more, the man then introduced himself to be Amakawa Tsukasa. Alice felt the name suited him since, after all, strange people happen to equally have strangely perfect names, too. After both had respectively come to know one another a little more, Tsukasa thus brought forward the neko boy to do the same and introduce himself.

Alice wasn't shy to him.

"I'm Yotsuki Alice, pleasure to meet you." She bitterly introduced to him with a slight frown which he returned. "So, what's your name, neko boy?"

His frown deepened as Alice began to do the same as she did to Tsukasa. Completely ignoring her mother's disapproving stare to do so as she clutched the small pouch in her hands, she investigated Ikuto.

Unlike Tsukasa, the boy wasn't very much of anything, however there were a few exceptions. His features were slightly sharp and cat-like as she established from her earlier noting. And much like the man with him, he too, held a mysterious atmosphere around him, but… As she stared into his piercing blue eyes, she had seen something in there that definitely had taken its toll on this older boy. Something life changing, to be exact. What it was, she wouldn't know until much later, but for now, she didn't care. After all, she had her own problems as well, what made his so much different?

Those thoughts would later be regretted.

Again, no longer having anything to note about- except the other similarity of the man and the boy, both having strange hair colors for Japanese men, this time blue hair instead- Alice began to blink once again, letting the boy know her unusual probing was over, and that he could introduce himself now, too.

"I'm Tsukiyomi Ikuto," was the first thing he said to the younger girl, "also, you look like a crow," was the second thing.

Thus, began the 'Stray Crow and Cat's' rival hatred that would continue on til this day. Or…did it?

"Alice-chan," he heard the mother speak to her daughter. "You take care of Ikuto-kun now, nee? And make him feel welcome while showing him around the hotel as me and Mr. Amakawa fill out some paperwork. Can you do that for mother?"

Ikuto saw as the girl numbly nodded to her mother in reply, and that seemed enough to satisfy the woman. With a final wave to both of the children and a quick comment from Tsukasa to Ikuto, both of the adults had disappeared from their sight, leaving the two children alone next to the big tree where the swing Alice was previously on, at.

Sneaking a glance at Alice, Ikuto noticed she regained her previous spot on the swing and began to go back and forth on it. Normally, kids like his little sister, Utau, or his friend, Tadase, would be squealing with glee when on one of those, but this girl… she had no expression at all. She just… swung there, not doing anything, not showing any emotion, just… swinging. She was a marionette.

'Tsukasa just had to leave me with a weird one, didn't he?' Ikuto thought to himself as he continued to watch the girl in silence. As he continued to watch, however he began to felt pity for her. Her just swinging there made her look completely lonely and solemn. Like she had no one, and if she were to disappear, another happier child would simply take her place.

"I don't like this girl-nya," said a little voice right next to him. Ikuto turned and saw his cat-chara right next to him, floating. Ikuto blinked and took a couple of seconds to finally comprehend that Yoru had said something to him, since he was still getting used to having him there. After all, he was barely just born.

"She's giving me bad vibes-nya…" Yoru shivered to give emphasize on his statement.

Not really caring what Yoru felt or said about the girl, Ikuto just walked towards her to try and fulfil what the clairvoyant had favored him to do.

To befriend the girl was what Tsukasa favored, apparently she was someone who Ikuto needed to know judging by the stars, and despite the man not being the most responsible, he was to be trusted when it came to his predictions.

"So…" He slowly spoke to her, "your mom said to show me around, are you going to…?" As he said this, Ikuto wasn't sure if she heard him, or was just ignoring whatever he had said. When he was about to confront her about it though, Alice suddenly stood up and looked at him.

"Follow me, and I'll show around, weirdo neko boy." 'Really…?!'

"Fine, Crow." He bitterly replied.

'I wasn't one to get along with people, especially the boy's mother introduced me too, but…

"Give him back!"

"Not a chance, neko boy!"

Guests who were walking peacefully in the hallway were suddenly shocked as they began to quickly jump out of the way of two children running past them. One was a young, skinny girl, and the other a slightly bigger, skinny boy. Why they were running through the hallway's, screaming at one another, none of the adults would ever know, except for the children themselves.

maybe I should've tried to get along with him.'

"Save me, Ikuto-nya!" Yoru cried as he was being held captured by Alice. Ikuto knew not why the reason the smaller girl kidnapped his friend, but all he knew is that when he left them alone for a second in front of the grandfather clock Alice was tinkering with, the moment he came back, she was strangling him. When he attempted to save his friend, she just ran away and that is how their current game of cat and mouse (though is Alice's case, a crow) began.

As they continued to run, Ikuto soon began to feel exhausted, and as he watched Alice get a little farther ahead of him, he couldn't help but wonder how she was still going. When he was just about to stop in exhaustion however, he suddenly grew confused when Alice came running back towards him in panic.

'What the-HEY! STOP RIGHT THERE!" Hearing the boom of an older gentleman, Ikuto squinted and saw one of the security now running their way. Alarmed, all previous exhaustion completely went away as Ikuto began to run after Alice as she past him since not only did he want to get in trouble, but she still had Yoru in her grasps.

"L-Lost him… finally…!" Alice panted out as she and Ikuto breathed heavily, trying to regain their senses after practically running around the whole hotel, trying to lose the security guard chasing after them. In the end, they lost him at the reception office and when they finally stopped, they found themselves at the same place where they started.

"Ikuto-nya!" Yoru cried out once more towards his friend.

"Yoru!" Ikuto launched at Alice as she dodged and was about to quickly run away again when Ikuto rounded back again and accidently grabbed the pouch around her neck instead of the hand that carried. She didn't notice.

"Shit!" He cursed. "I missed, wait…!"Gaining a bewildered look on his face, Ikuto looked down at the pouch in his hand, and stared at it. "This…" He paused.

'Why does this feel warm…?' He thought, now feeling the pouch with both hands and by doing so, he realized… there was an egg inside.

"Cypher…!" She screeched. Ikuto looked at her, completely bewildered by the sudden name she cried out. 'Who is C- Give it back!"

"…!" Ikuto felt himself being pushed back against the stairs railing by Alice tackling him. They both surely would've fell over if it weren't for his fast reflexes. Putting his arm up with the egg residing in that very hand, Ikuto attempted keep Alice back with his other arm.

"Ikuto-nya!" Yoru once more cried.

"Crow, stop it!" Ikuto screeched, trying to get Alice off him, but she wouldn't.

"Give my friend back!" She replied as she continued to fight to get her friend back.

"I will if you let Yoru go," he struggled, "now do what I say!"

She ignored him as she cried, "Give it, please!" Alice kept trying best to get her friend back and continued to try to crawl up the taller boy to get it from his grasp. She grabbed his neck with her hand and it supported Alice as she reached the other towards the egg in Ikuto's grasp.

"Stop it, Alice!" Ikuto screeched as he kept on also trying to get the girl's death grip off his neck as careful as he could be, so they both wouldn't fall backwards off the ledge. However, with the suddenly toll of the grandfather clock she had messed with earlier, the neko boy flinched in surprise at the consequently loud ring and accidently let the weight of the girl sway him backwards, making them fall back.

"Shit!" With a swift movement, both of his now free hands went to the railing and he quickly pushed them both forward. As they both tumbled to the ground, Ikuto suddenly through his panicked breathing, looked to his left hand.

'The egg…!'

"CYPHER!" He heard Alice cry and quickly turning around and standing, he wrapped his arms around her tiny waist and held her back from attempting to jump off the ledge to catch her friend. As she struggled and squirmed, Ikuto wondered when she would stop when a loud crack echoed around them from below, and his wonders were answered. The instant they heard the crack and as Yoru used this time to escape from her clutches, Alice's previously squirming stopped as she went limp.

Too limp.

Ikuto nervously tried to sneak a peek at the girl's face as he set her gently down. But, the moment her tiny feet completely touched the ground, she yanked herself away from his grasp and quickly ran down the stairs with him following closely behind.

When they both got to the bottom, Ikuto stopped while Alice ran and kneeled down at the spot where he egg fell.

"Y-You…" She gasped out, her voice slightly breaking as she looked down at the pieces in horrification. "…killed my friend!" His eyes widen at the accusation and she continued. "…Why…why would you do that…? Do you hate me that much?!"

"… I di-!" Ikuto cried out as he tried to defend himself, but she cut him off.

"-Yes, you must seriously do." She laughed out bitterly. "What did my mother expect from our encounter exactly? Yes… It's the same as the others."

'Others…?' He questioned, eyes widening.

"In the end, both end up hating one another, I and them. Hate, yes, hate…" she repeated. "We hate each other- right! After all, why else would you kill my only friend? Yes, friend… friends." She croaked out sadly, confusing him. "We'll never be that, why did I expect no less? I should've just left you alone as the others have done and did to me. Yes… alone… that's my destiny, why else would my friend be dead, Ikuto."

That was first time she used his name.

As she knelt there, not moving a single muscle, Ikuto began to feel 'not-deserved' guilt but most of all, he felt pity for her. Still feeling his burning gaze on her, Alice turned to see his face, making Ikuto immediately regretted his uncontrollably emotions of pity.

"Don't look at me with those eyes." The girl icily demanded, her expression completely matched the look he gave people when after his father left and his mother went to the hospital from the stress of it all. "I despise the look of pity, I'm not pitiful… Since I don't sympathize you for your downfalls, you shouldn't sympathize mine, after all, we're supposed to be hateful enemies now."

As she scooped up the remains of her friend, Ikuto just stared at her.

'You were always holding onto your pain and tears all alone. It's alright now… It's okay for someone to sympathize with you…'

Tsukasa's words echoed through his mind as he continued to stare at the girl. It was then that Ikuto noticed… In the corner of her eyes, it you squinted enough, you could see…

She was holding back tears.

"W-We are…" Ikuto stuttered out, barely above that of a whisper in realization. He got it now… now why Tsukasa wanted them to meet. They were…

'Holding onto your pain and tears alone. It's okay for someone to sympathize with you…' It now clicked, made full sense.

"We are the same…" He said, no longer stuttering. He got it now. He understood. Ikuto carefully watched Alice now, waiting to see her reaction to his statement. And he did witness it.

Alice stopped picking up the broken egg piece's for a moment, and slowly turned to look back at him with the coldest glare she's given him since meeting her; and knowing she was about to retort with a comment that would try to deem him wrong, he repeated the word's once more.

"We are the same," he stated more boldly, their eyes burning into each other's. "We held back our pain and tears alone, but I know now it is okay for someone to sympathize with myself. You don't however, so I'll say it now… It's okay to cry," he noticed her eyes widen a bit at this statement, and at this point, Ikuto knew he shouldn't stop now.

"We've both been through a lot," he sighed knowingly, "so now y- I hate you." Ikuto stopped speaking as he froze in shock, that wasn't the reaction he was expecting from her.

"I hate you." She repeated, "I hate people like you." She stood up, no longer facing him but instead leaving Ikuto to stare at her back, still in shock. "Sympathizing, it's the same as pity. It was a word invented for that specific double-meaning, how stupid. No one needs to sympathize with me, and I don't need to do so for myself either. You and I aren't the same, enough said."

Dropping the broken piece's she had previously tried to collect in vain, Alice stepped purposefully on them to emphasize her words and as she walked away, Ikuto managed to snap out of it, and attempted to prove her wrong one last time by saying, "We are! But you don't want to admit it, do you?"

She felt his eye's literally burn holes into her retreating figure and as she attempted to continue ignoring him, she couldn't help but still listen to his words.

"We are the same…" He spoke now gently, much like Tsukasa's tone from earlier. "Right, Alice?"

Continuing to walk away from him, she clenched her fists in hatred because she knew… he was somewhat right.

She would never admit that though.

1 of the Crow and Cat's Omake: The Friend that was once Hers, out of 5- Completed.

A/N: Hello again, so… Alice had a chara before Mato, Rin, and Aya, right? Man I got lazy in the middle. Heh, looking back on this chapter, I think of two things. One, I probably put it in too early, but… I needed something to upload, right?! I mean, it's been pretty long since I've updated, so earlier past chapter or not, I got something up, I deserve a medal for that. And two, how did I come up with Ikuto having to suddenly kill Cypher/Alice's only friend? Originally I had Alice accidently break it like Nikaidou did with his own egg, but when I decided to revise the story, I suppose at the time I thought well, maybe this could emphasize stuff a little more, how? I don't know, but its 'canon' (at least in mine and your guy's eyes) now, so… yeah. Ok, now for the topic I wanted to write about at hand, I'm not going to lie I saw this happening, I've noticed my story is heading in a AlicexIkuto direction, I didn't intend for this to happen. This story was originally supposed to be KukaixAlice, surprisingly by this point. Aside of that fact however, I've been wondering, should I let you all decide? It'd be fair in my mind to be honest, but I'm not yet sure. If you all think so, then I guess you should either PM me or comment or something, this has actually been in my mind a lot, lately. I doubt you will, but it was worth a shot asking, nee? Anyway, thank you for reading and being patient with me. I don't know when I'll update again, but hopefully it will be soon. Thank you again for your time and for reading, until next time.
