When I woke up, she was gone. Not that I could blame her for leaving me as if I were a one-night stand. I had just kind of broken up with her. And it's not as if I hadn't expected it either. Still, it sucked.

This whole situation sucked. A. Hiding. Breaking up with Aria.

I didn't want to, but I had to.

I hadn't even opened my eyes yet, too afraid to face the day knowing that things would be awkward and tense between Aria and I from now on.

It was like by choosing Caleb, I had lost a limb. Something I'd always taken for granted, that I thought would always just be there.

I groaned. I knew even as I had said the words we're over, that I was not making the right choice. But I couldn't break up with Caleb. Not now. We needed him now. He was our tech expert.

I know, it's not a great reason to break up with someone you love. It's not a reason to not break-up with someone that you love, even if you know now he's not the one for you. Because she is.

Ugh. I didn't think these kinds of things happened in real life. Leave the drama to things like the O.C. and One Tree Hill.

But this is real life. And real life sucks.

I don't know how long I was laying in bed with my eyes shut tight trying to make the day go away. When I finally got up, my clock read one nineteen in the afternoon. I threw on some sweats, as I wasn't planning on going out today. Today the world could suck my dick because I just lost one of my best friends and my girlfriend. Today, the only person who would see me would be the tub of Ben & Jerry's and possibly my mother.

Or so I thought.

Just after two, my doorbell rang.

I opened the door to see a boy I'd never seen before staring at me. He was kind of cute, still had a boyish charm, and he was probably around my age.

"Hi," the boy said.

"Hi…" I said cautiously.

"Is Aria here?"

"Ummm… who are you?" I asked.

"Oh, right, I'm Wesley," he said. He held out his hand. I didn't shake it.

He pulled back his hand awkwardly. "You're Hanna, right?" he said.

"Yeah…" I said.

"Okay, um, so is Aria here? Her dad said that she stayed here last night and I really need to talk to her." Wesley said.

"No, she left this morning," I said. "Why don't you just call her?"

This Wesley guy was kind of creeping me out. He didn't seem all stalkerish, but then, at this point, everybody was a suspect.

"I don't actually have her number," Wesley said.

He was ruining my sulking. And he was looking at me with such sad eyes.

"Ugh, fine, I'll call her and let her know you're looking for her."

"Thank you so much," Wesley said.

I dialed up Aria's number. I wasn't sure she'd even answer for me. After…everything. But it was ringing, so at least she hadn't shut her phone off.
