This was it. in only a few moments, the league would be starting its raid on the USJ and attempt to kill the world's number one hero.
But as the rest laid in wait, Izuku was still in his office. dressed in a full set of futuristic looking white armor he sat at his desk, intensely focused on a monitor.
Shigaraki had tasked him with taking out the USJ alarm systems, and although Izuku wasn't allowed to alter his plan, he had insisted on expanding the task to include telecommunications as well.
Naturally, this took more time and that frustrated Shigaraki. which in return frustrated Izuku.
"09:32, All might was scheduled to have arrived by now, what are you doing over there?'
"Hacking one of Japan's most intricate alarm systems, also said to be unhackable. Am I taking too long?"
"don't try getting smart with me now, you're nothing without…"
"Aaaaaaand… we're in. Whenever you're ready boss."
"Now!"
[Now?]
Just as He thought that, a dark purple portal opened behind him, he had no choice but to quickly put on his mask and step through.
Once on the other side, he was met with an even more pissed off Shigaraki. And it quickly became clear why, All Might wasn't there. It was just Eraser head, Thirteen and a class of their students.
Izuku looked over at the man, trying to figure out what was going through his head and what he might do next.
He didn't have to wait long to find out.
"If all might isn't here, then we'll just have to kill some of these kids until he shows up."
[Bad idea, the plan was to catch him alone. Get him to a secluded location, and then kill him. If we're going to wait until he shows up himself, there's no way he'll be alone.]
But of course, he wasn't allowed to say that. He'd been ordered to interfere only once things had started going south.
Not long after, Eraser head had already made his way down the stairs to confront the villains. He was fast, taking out their small fry was clearly a trivial task to him.
If it hadn't been for Noumu x-7 and kurogiri, Izuku would have been worried for Shigaraki's safety. But since he was clearly in good hands, Izuku decided that while they were there, he might as well get some of his own work in.
He had a few weapons that had yet to be combat tested, and who better to test it on than UA students? They had both talent as well as a powerful quirk, but not enough skill to form an actual threat.
Once kurogiri had separated the students and put 13 out of commission, he asked for him to create a portal to one of the student's locations.
It was a replica city, complete with windows and even interior. But he didn't have long to admire it. Because before him stood a short haired brunette, 'Ochaco Uraraka'
"who are you? What do you want from us?" she shouted
[Not an unreasonable thing to ask, but just little too loud. Good chance there are other students around here, and she's trying to warn them.]
"well, I'd love to chat, but unfortunately, that's not what I'm here for"
No matter how unskilled, he couldn't afford to be surrounded. He had to end this quickly and get out of there.
[ If I remember correctly, she has a quirk that requires direct contact. So, it's likely she'll prefer fighting close combat. Best to keep her at a distance.]
Uraraka
A villain, an actual villain stood before her. After less than a single week at U.A, she was already facing a villain.
Was this it, was this how it was all going to end? was she going to die here? She was absolutely terrified
She had no idea how she was supposed to even fight him, let alone what his quirk was. Luckily Tsuyu was nearby, if she could just keep him talking until she arrived, maybe they'd have a shot at taking him out.
However, it seemed he wasn't the talkative kind. After trying to initiate contact with him, he was quick to shut her down.
"…that's not what I'm here for"
Then what was he here for? She wasn't exactly eager to find out. So, as a last resort she decided to simply rush him. There were no objects nearby she could touch, it was all she could do.
Too bad for her though, it seemed he was prepared for exactly that. From the side of his arm he shot a gust of wind, violently slamming her into the wall.
It hurt, it hurt so bad. It was like every single nerve in her back was set on fire, and though she hadn't even tried yet, it was hard to imagine she could get up after that.
And as she laid there on the ground she could see him looking down on her.
"tssk"
was he disappointed with her? What kind of person was behind that mask? Who would be so cold, that they would go out of their way to hurt her like this? She had no idea people like that existed.
Though it would seem he had lost interest, when he saw she could no longer get up he had turned away from her.
This had been the moment Tsuyu had been waiting for, after she saw what he had done to Ochaco she had decided it would be best to wait until a window of opportunity presented itself, and this was it.
Without hesitation, Tsuyu used her mighty strong legs to leap straight at him with the intent of kicking him in the back and overpowering him.
That didn't go quite as planned.
Beep beep
For Izuku still carried his Sixth sense tech with him.
Before she even had the chance to reach him, he'd turned around and pointed another one of his machinations at her.
Bang
Sometimes even something as simple as a gun could do the job, only a fool would disregard part of his arsenal for its simplicity.
The bullet entered just between her ribs, and abruptly stopped her leap. She fell to the ground right between Uraraka and Izuku, bleeding out.
"you're brave, I'll give you that."
"here, use that on your friend. Make sure she doesn't die."
He threw her and utmost odd contraption, which he seemingly wanted her to attach to her dying friend.
"And why would I trust you?" she answered
"oh please, If I'd wanted to kill her I would have done it myself"
"Is it truly that inconceivable to you, that my motives are not purely evil?"
…
"well, that is disappointing. But you can take my word on this one, I don't kill without purpose."
(Into microphone)
"Kurogiri, get me out of here"
after testing out a few more of his weapons on other students, and purposefully avoiding a confrontation with bakugo, he eventually returned to Shigaraki's side.
And just as he'd predicted, he was fine. Still waiting for all might to show up.
[God, how irrational can a person be. Is he still waiting for all might to just 'show up'?]
If things went on like this, they might have to set up camp. That's why he'd purposefully let Iida escape. It won't take him long to reach a police station, and as soon as the cops show up, he'll have no choice but to blow this off.
But when reinforcements finally did arrive, it was quite a surprise.
[All might?!]
[did Iida go to U.A? or did all might rush here after receiving a police call?]
[both seem unlikely, shigaraki was pretty clear with his plan. And Iida doesn't seem like the kind of guy to leave out something like that.]
[So, did all might rush here knowing we have a way to kill him? Why?]
[Just to save a few high schoolers?]
Soon, all might and x-7 were facing off against each other, they seemed equally matched for most of the fight, with x-7 having a slight advantage in endurance. But in the end, all might ended up winning by pulling one of his classic ass pulls, going beyond 100%? Well, then you were never at 100% to begin with, now were you?
Either way, x-7 ended up being put out of commission. In the end, it doesn't really matter how.
With x-7 gone, Izuku finally had enough reason to use his veto power and call off the operation.
Shigaraki had refused and thrown a childish tantrum, so he and Kurogiri had to forcefully take him with them.
Later that evening at the league
"Kurogiri, I wish to meet with Sensei."
"And why is that?"
"I want him to give me a quirk"
"Hmmm"
"I see, well then. Bring him over"
[He finally gave in. Originally, he'd been adamant in refusing to accept a quirk, trying to make a statement about quirkless people or something. Guess a taste of combat helped him out of that dream.]
[It's for the better, he's proven himself a far superior successor. I'll make sure to give him the best I have]
a dark purple gate opened, and Izuku stepped into the room.
"ah, Izuku my boy. I see you've finally come to your senses."
"…I just… need more power"
"And more power you shall have. did you have anything specific in mind?"
"not yet, I just need… something"
[As I thought, he's upset over something that happened at the USJ. He's never without a plan.]
"then I might have just the thing, 'dark fog'. It's a powerful strength enhancing quirk that goes accompanied by a dark purple fog."
Izuku nodded.
Sensei signaled for him to take a seat opposite of him, which he did. Quirk transfer was said to be painful, so it was probably there for a reason.
He then raised his hand and placed it on Izuku's head, but before he could do anything. Izuku did the same, standing up and placing his hand to Sensei's face.
He seemed surprised. But before he got the chance to do anything…
'Thanatos Union(7)-01' [Active]
Izuku's hand slowly lit up, similar to a certain hot headed boy he used to know.
Even a fool could figure out what came next, it was a build up to a blast and within less than a second it was followed by one.
'the Thanatos union', a union of 7 quirks that would activate simultaneously, named after the god of death. For when put together, they were practically irresistible, and would bring death to any who stood in its way.
All for one never even stood a chance, his entire face/brain was burned right up. Though oddly enough, he could have sworn he saw him smiling right before he died. But his view was probably distorted by the flames.
A shame, all the quirks that he would take with him to his grave, but there's no point crying over spilled milk. There was work to do.
"Kurogiri, yes it's Izuku. All for one is dead."
"I was the one that killed him"
"From now on, I'll be calling the shots around here."
"First, I want you to get rid of Tomura"
"Next, please bring in Toga, Dabi, and twice"
"Oh, and don't try contacting the Nomu. I've already taken care of those, they should be grind meat by now."
Taking over an organization like the league was no easy task, the boss had been hard to take down, and he had several henchmen that would be hard to get on his side. Not referring to the vanguard squad.
But once you conquer the upper echelon, the rest would easily fall into place.
Kurogiri had been a particularly easy case, but that was because of conditions. Once he'd established his dominance, he wouldn't' have any trouble with the man.
Figures like 'the doctor' would be more trouble. But in the end, they were just people, if they refused or showed signs of betraying him he could just kill them.
For now, he had to ensure loyalty of the main bunch, he could deal with the rest later.
The Omnitrix was one of the most powerful weapons ever conceived. And he had copies.
By arming them with weapons like that, the league would become a force to be reckoned with. And since he was the only one that could supply them with 'Fuel', also completely dependent on him.
Once they'd gotten used to their new-found powers, they wouldn't dream of turning on the one that gave it to them.
All for one had the nomu, but they were dumb and incapable of following advanced commands. Izuku had something far superior.
His followers would have human level intellect, a much larger quirk capacity, a less noticeable figure and best of all, he could give out one quirk to multiple people.
The Unstable nature of the bio-samples had ended up working in his favor, guaranteeing they would have to come back to him every few weeks.
In truth, it was possible to make permanent ones, but there was a price. The they required other bodily parts which made the living on of the original impossible. In addition, there was only enough for one. So, if he wanted one for himself, he would never be able to give it out to anyone else ever again.
He'd only done this with one quirk. 'Perpetuity'
It was a quirk that allowed the user peak performance at all times. So, the most energetic he'd ever been he was now forever. and he no longer had to sleep at all. He could run a marathon on his top sprinting speed and just keep going.
It was a great help in keeping him focused and productive, but best of all. It also applied to quirks.
Well, if I've even been unsure about a chapter, it's this one. I'm just awful at writing action scenes (apparently), but hey, that's the only way to get better. and I suffered quite some writer's block. So, I ended up writing this in several sittings. Also, I ended up leaving out quite a few scenes, you can just assume those went like cannon. I just didn't feel like rewriting them. btw, do you guys feel like I'm going too fast, I have a few scenes already planned that I am kind of exited for, I just hope I'm not rushing through the other stuff to get there sooner.
hope you liked it though.
