Chapter 10
girls they wanna have fun
Oh girls just wanna have fun
As the bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, the students slowly trickled out of the classroom. Rito, as usual, stayed where he was, silent as a spectre while he gazed out the window.
This would have continued until all of his classmates left, had a certain pink-haired alien not came up to him.
"Rito, do you want to walk home together?"
The boy in question shook his head at his charge. "Not today, Lala. I have to go to my boxing workout."
"Oh, right." She smiled slightly. "I forgot about that. I'll see you later then?"
"Bye, Lala." He replied, returning his gaze to the window.
As Lala made her way to the front gate, she wiped sweat off her brow. Due to her short time on Earth, she was still unused to the hot summers of the planet.
Still, her mind was focused on her friend and guardian, Rito. It had been two week since that time at the arcade and they hadn't really talked much, though not from lack of trying on her part. It was just that Rito had a tendency to end conversations as quickly as possible. During school, Lala spent most of her free time with her new friends while Rito spent his alone, he even ate lunch alone. One thing that she had found strange was that he was always there whenever she needed help, like when she was struggling to read Japanese and he was the first to notice and help her without her needing to ask.
'I wonder why Rito keeps staring out the window. Or why he doesn't want me on the rooftop with him.' She sighed. 'He's always so mysterious. The only thing I know about him is that he likes cats and plants, and that he usually plays video games alone. I know he likes to be alone, but I don't want him to be lonely.'
When Lala entered the schoolyard, she immediately noticed a number of students doing various activities. When she had asked Rito about these groups, he had explained that they were clubs and suggested that she join one if she wished to make more friends. She hadn't given him a definitive answer, merely telling him she'd think about it.
As she finally reached the front gate, she met an unexpected resistance…
"Gotcha, Lala!" She started in surprise when a pair of lithe arms wrapped around her… and immediately grabbed her breasts. "Hmhm, they're as soft as ever."
Instead of shouting, Lala merely smiled as the girls hands squeezed causing her to squirm. "Stop that, Risa." She started giggling as she attempted to free herself from the brunettes grasp. "I –hehe– it tickles!"
"What are you doing, Lala-chi?" Risa's friend, Mio, asked from her side.
"I'm heading home," Lala cheerfully answered after Risa let her go.
"Home? Already? Uh-uh, you're not staying home on a day like this. You're coming with us and enjoying this beautiful afternoon!" Risa replied.
"Alright, why not."
The dirty (in more ways than one) blonde wasted no time in grabbing Lala's arm and pulling her with her, Mio close behind.
After a bit of talking, they decided on doing some shopping and then catching a movie at the theater.
"How about this one?" Mio asked, showing of the v-necked silk tank top and white skirt with a brief spin.
"It looks beautiful on you!" Risa stated with a smile, adjusting her choice of clothes under her forearm.
"It looks great!" Lala clapped her hands excitedly. "This one and the last one both look amazing on you."
"Then it's settled." Mio affirmed with a nod. "I'll buy these clothes too."
She gave one final look in the mirror before returning to the fitting room and changing back into her uniform.
As the girls payed for their clothes, Risa finally realized what was bothering her.
"Hey, Lala-chi. Why didn't you try on any clothes?" Risa questioned, abashed at not having noticed it beforehand.
"Oh, I don't want any clothes," she said, her happy demeanor unchanged. "Besides, I don't have any money."
Risa felt her lips twitch down slightly before offering, "If money's a problem, I can lend you some."
"Oh no." Lala shook her head at the misunderstanding. "I don't want any. Plus, if I ever want different clothing, I can always use Peke!" She said, gesturing towards the hairpin that was Peke's head. "She can turn into any clothing, so long as she can analyze it."
"She can turn into any cloth?" The two friends asked in unison, leaning in to get a closer look at the strange hairpin. "Please show us!"
"Okay~!" Lala answered joyfully. "Peke: Dress Mode, now!"
A bright light was briefly emitted from Lala's clothes, it quickly settles down to reveal the devilukian in a white dress.
Her friends stared at the alien with wide eyes full of surprise.
"Oh… my… God…" Risa muttered, captivated by the sight before her.
"That's incredible!" The duo shouted in unison.
"Really?" Lala smiled, flattered at the praise.
"You look like a character from an anime!" Mio declared, taking a moment to take a closer look at her costume.
"It looks amazing, but…" Risa smiled lecherously, "these looks even better!" She didn't hesitate to grope Lala's breasts.
"Hahahaha!" Lala giggled, squirming around as Risa adjusted herself to make it harder to dislodge her. "That tickles!" When she was finally released, Lala had a bright smile on her face, happy that her friends like her inventions and clothes.
They passed the next few minutes with idle conversation until they finally reached the movie theater, where they noticed the theater was showing some animated American movies.
"So, Lala-chi, which one do you want to see?" Mio asked while glancing at the various posters advertising different movies.
"Oh~, how about this one!" Lala pointed towards a poster showing various Earth animals with the large furry one wrapping its trunk around a human toddler. The words 'Ice Age' were carved out of ice.
"Alright, I'll get the tickets." Risa said, heading back to the counter to do so.
An hour and a half later, they were sitting at a table within a cafe, talking about the movie.
"What did you think of the movie, Lala?" Risa asked with a smile.
"It was really cute," Lala returned her smile, humming happily, "you really know how to make cute and funny movies. They're a lot better than the ones I'm used to."
Risa looked at her, confusion evident in her eyes, "What kind of movies do you watch in your country?"
"Well, most of the ones we have are based around war."
"There aren't any movies that are meant to be humorous?"
"No, even when I was a little girl, the movies were all war related and there's very little, if any, attempts at humor in them." Lala declared as a depressed look crossed her face.
"Speaking of which," Mio glanced at the alien-in-disguise, "I don't think you've ever mentioned why you came here."
A conflicted look crossed Lala's face before she answered, ensuring not to mention her alien origins while at the same time not lying to her friends. "My father wanted me to do a lot of things that I did not want to do, so I ran away."
"You ran away?" A shocked look was plastered on Mio's face.
"Wow, you're so brave, Lala-chi!" Risa commented in awe. "I never would have had the courage do that… but, why do you stick with a guy like Yuuki Rito? I bet it'd be easy for you to find a guy that's much easier to get along with." Risa tilted her head slightly in confusion. "I mean, he may look cute, but he's kind of a weirdo and doesn't really seem like he'd be good at taking care of girls, you know?"
"That's not true!" Lala voiced her thoughts, hurt that her friends would talk about her protector like that. "He's the most dependable person there is. He gave me a home when I didn't have anywhere else to go, he listened to what I had to say, and believed me even though he didn't know me! I can't think of anyone nicer than Rito."
"Achoo!" Rito sneezed. "Ugh, I hate when people talk about me."
"Wow, I never would have thought he'd do all of that for someone." Risa felt kinda bad for talking bad about him like that now. "And where is your mighty protector, Lala-chi?"
"He should be training, I think. Although," the alien princess paused to think, "I imagine he's finished by now. Oh!" She perked up. "I can bring him here so you can talk to him."
With that said, Lala reached into her bag and pulled out a little robot with a magnet-shaped head. She placed it on the table where it stood up and pointed its head in a seemingly random direction.
At the time this was happening, Rito was leaving the gym when the feeling of an electrical current passing through him paralyzed his body. He stayed like this for a few seconds before his body turned and started moving on its own, it wasn't long before he was in a dead sprint to nowhere.
'What's going on?!' He screamed in his head, unable to understand what was happening. 'Why can't I control my body!'
His body continued it sprint for a short time until it finally started to slow down of its own accord. Rito took this reprieve to realize he was now at a cafe, one where he could see a certain pink-haired alien through the window.
Unfortunately for him, his body only stopped when it collided with the cafe's door, something that didn't go unnoticed by the trio of girls.
"That's amazing, Lala-chi!" Mio glanced between the little robot and the boy whose face was plastered against the glass door. "I have no idea how it works, but overseas technology must be very advanced."
'Why is it that, ever since Lala came to Earth, nothing in my life makes sense?' Rito thought to himself as he regained control over his body.
"Rito! I'm so glad you're here!" Lala smiled cheerfully as she picked up the small bot.
"It's not like I had a choice." He muttered, rubbing his hand over his face as he entered the cafe. "Why am I here?"
"It's because I used my little attractive robot." She answered as she put said robot away.
"That answers one question and only brings about more." The rust-haired teen mumbled.
"Yuuki-kun, you're here because we wanted to meet you." Risa stated seriously. "I know that boys your age like to take advantage of poor, innocent girls like Lala. I know that you're not an exception."
"What are you talking about?" Rito wondered, raising an eyebrow in his confusion.
Instead of answering verbally, Risa gripped the edges of her skirt and lifted.
"Gah!" Rito yelped, slapping his hands over his eyes as his face turned red.
There was a moment of silence that was broken by laughter. After a moment's indecision, he risked removing his hands to see the girl who just tried to flash him laughing at him.
"That was adorable! I didn't realize you were so innocent yourself." The dirty blonde finally calmed down, a grin still on her face. "Well, I guess first things first, I need to apologize."
"Yeah, same here." The girl in the glasses agreed.
"For what?" He still had no idea what was going on.
"I had created my own, bad image of you from what little I actually knew," Risa started, shamefaced. "I thought you were just a loser and a weirdo, but after what Lala said you did for her, I realize I just assumed what you were like without actually bothering to know the truth."
Rito was caught off guard by the apology and didn't know what to say, he glanced at a smiling Lala for an answer.
With her apology done, Risa grabbed her things and looked at Mio.
"Come on, Mio, let's give them some alone time." She stood up and made her way to the exit, waving to her friend. "Bye, Lala!"
"Wait for me! Goodbye, Lala-chi." Mio picked up her things and made a swift exit after Risa.
"Goodbye, girls. I'll see you tomorrow." The devilukian waved to her friends.
After they were gone, Lala turned to a surprised, and still somewhat confused, Rito.
"So… do you want to do something?"
The guardian shook his head. "Let's go home. It's getting late and Mikan might get worried if we don't return soon."
Lala glanced at her cellphone and her eyes widened when she realized it was already six o'clock.
'I guess time flies when you're having fun.'
As they made their way home, Rito stared at his companion out of the corner of his eye.
'I don't know what she said to those two, but they don't think badly of me anymore. Maybe she isn't so bad.'
"You know," Mio pondered out loud as her and Risa made their way to their homes, "Rito doesn't seem to be that bad of a guy; he's different from most boys."
"Yeah," Risa agreed, "I think those two would actually make a cute couple."
'I wonder…' A grin slowly split her face.
Hey Guys I hope you enjoyed the chapter I always felt that friendship with Lala, Risa and Mio is empty so I decided to make this chapter in the name of their friendship. I also maybe enter in a hiatus because I'm not having so much time to write the next chapters… Oh well I just promise that I will do my best to finish this history.
Until the next time…
