I feel like I'm evil for this chapter woops.

Oh! And look at that, two chapters back-to-back! Isn't that exciting?

I have inspiration is all. I have finals soon, and the SAT, and the ACT...so take this as an overload before I die of stress for a couple weeks.

This is never going to have a regulated upload strategy. It's just spontaneity that gets these chapters finished, okay?

Enjoy my beautiful readers! vuv/

OH AND NOTE: I have a headcannon that Witch Princess is the only one out of the two (Witch Princess and Wizard) who can actually transport herself on a regular basis. But it takes a lot out of her, so she can't really go far distances and whatnot? Yeah, so that's how it works, for future reference.

Chapter 10

Ding Dong the Witch is Talking

Wizard's P.O.V.

Wizard hadn't had a visitor in days. It was nice to have time to himself again. It was mid-summer, and it was hot, and Wizard, always dressed in his dark-colored robes, could barely stand the heat of day without the cool whirr of his air conditioner. His only visitor that had come to his house in the past couple weeks was the lonely waitress Maya, consistent in her checking up on Chase. She'd managed a breakthrough, it seemed. Chase considered her a friend now instead on an annoyance, according to his crystal ball. She must've been convinced of her success, and basking in it, because her regular visits had since ceased.

But it wasn't the fact that Wizard hadn't had visitors in a while that spooked him today. It was the cloud of smoke that engulfed him, and the hands that grabbed onto his shoulders from behind. Of course, it was Witch Princess, he could tell by the feminine giggle behind him and the way her hands traveled down to his waist. Wizard spun around, addressing the gray-haired girl.

"I still...refuse to be your...rebound." Wizard stated plainly. Witch Princess rolled her eyes in response, and lengthened the distance between them.

"I'm not here for that, anyway." She stated, and turned to descend down that stairwell. Wizard walked towards the balcony that overlooked his living space. Witch Princess had her amber eyes glued to his crystal ball. "I want a reading." She declared. "A professional one, from you."

"You...know how to use the crystal ball...just as well as I do." Wizard stated, leaned over the wooden railing so Witch Princess could hear his quiet mumbling. "We...shared the same mentor…" Witch Princess refused to look up at the man, but Wizard could imagine her pouting expression. "You know...what you saw...was true."

Witch Princess suddenly vanished in a cloud, and reappeared once again next to Wizard. She pressed her finger into his chest, her eyes glinting. "If he's still so damn in love, why won't he face me?" She asked. "I haven't seen hide nor hair of him in months! The closest of him that I've seen?" She pointed towards the window. Wizard struggled to look outside, and spotted the bobbing brown head of Molly as she walked, presumably, towards the clinic from the church grounds. "That girl! And you know how she looks at me?" she turned away, allowing Wizard to stand straight again. She crossed her arms, glaring at the wall. "She looks at me like I'm a monster. Do you know what that does to me? S-so similar to him...looking at me like I'm the bad guy?" Witch Princess shook her head. "The crystal ball can't be right. If he loved me, his sister wouldn't look at me like that. If he loved me, he would still be with me, and not her."

Wizard was silent, daring not interrupt Witch Princess. "You...do still love him, then?"

"Yes."

Before Wizard could respond, a loud knock sounded at his door. Probably Maya, here for another reading he supposed. Witch Princess had turned to him, and was glaring daggers at him, urging him not to answer.

"Uhm...come in?" He called, just loud enough to be heard. Witch Princess puffed up her cheeks, and backed away from the balcony.

Wizard stared down from his perch at the rail, and was actually quite surprised when it wasn't Maya, but Molly that walked in.

"Wizard, I have-" Her eyes widened as she moved into the house, and her voice trailed off. She stood, her mouth gaping open as the door behind her. He watched her gaze travel over every bit of his home, taking in the subtle messiness on his desk, the books that cluttered the corners of his room. She paused her scan of the room when her eyes landed on his crystal ball, and he could have sworn he saw a smile crawl up her lips just slightly. She began to walk forward and observe closer, but Wizard leaned over his balcony, calling quietly to her.

"Please...close the door." The girl was knocked out of her trance at his voice, and angled her head to look up at Wizard. Her eyes widened more, and Wizard turned. Had she spotted Witch Princess? But when he looked behind him, the witch was gone. He caught a glimpse of a pointed shadow outside his window-her hat. She had gone.

"You have a telescope!" Wizard jerked, looking back down when his door was slammed shut. Molly came racing up the stairs, her brown eyes fixed on his telescope. With outstretched arms, she moved to touch it, but Wizard intersected her, frowning slightly.

"Please...don't touch it." He murmured. "It is...special…"

Molly retracted her hand, nodding blankly at him. "S-sorry." She apologized, avoiding his gaze. "I've just never saw one that big." She stated, looking around him. "You're an astronomist, too." She giggled. "What aren't you?"

"I just...like the stars." Wizard stated. "It's a hobby...not a...profession."

"It's still amazing. The stars are beautiful." She said. She shrugged nonchalantly. "Anyhow...I had a question." Molly said, clasping her hands together.

Wizard nodded. "Yes...let us...go downstairs." Wizard pushed past Molly, and walked slowly down his stairs. Suddenly, Wizard remembered something. "You...never came by...after the Ocarina Inn incident." He said.

"I've been busy." She said, hesitantly. It sounded as if she was holding something back.

To be honest with himself, Wizard had been looking forward to Molly coming to visit. Sure, they weren't exactly friends, and she was a bit more clumsy and mindless than most of the villagers he knew...but at least she had talked to him. At least she didn't ignore him. At least she treated him like a person.

Until...she disappeared for 2 weeks.

"I still have an offer for you...for your...assistance." Wizard said. Molly stayed quiet, and Wizard led them to the table he had his crystal ball sat on. "This crystal ball was handed down to me by my master… So...I'm glad you found it." He said, placing his hand on top of it. "So...I'd like to use the power of this crystal ball...for you." Molly leaned forward, her eyes glowing excitedly. "I can look into the hearts of people for you…" He finished. "That is...all I have to offer."

Molly clapped her hands together. "That's actually exactly what I'm here for!" She exclaimed happily.

"A...reading for Doctor Jin, I presume?" Wizard questioned.

He was rather surprised when Molly thrust her hands out, shaking them wildly. "No, no, no! I uhm…" She looked away. "W-well...are you able to...to look into the heart of somebody...for a friend?" She asked, refusing to meet the wizard's gaze.

Wizard frowned. Of course. "This...has something to do with...your brother."

"What! What makes you think that? Why would you think that?" Molly seemed to force a giggle.

"Who do you...want the reading on?" Wizard questioned.

"Oh, you know…" She looked around the room. "Just...ya know…" She looked down at her feet finally, mumbling her answer finally. "Witch Princess."

Wizard sighed. "It is not a good idea to get...wrapped up in this." He cautioned.

"Kasey's my brother." Molly said, putting her hands on her hips. "I've said it before, I'll say it again! I deserve to know!"

"I refuse…" Wizard murmured, still looking at Molly with careful eyes. This girl...she was reckless. If Witch Princess found out that Molly was trying to pry into her relationship with Kasey, there was no telling what she would do. He already knew the girl was getting the cold shoulder from her brother. "If you get involved...Witch Princess…" Wizard began to explain his thoughts, but couldn't even finish his sentence before Molly groaned.

"Fine, Wizard. Fine." His gold-and-green eyes widened at how icey her voice had become. "I don't need your help." She muttered, and turned away, walking with obviously forced calm towards the door. Wizard flinched as his door was slammed a second time that day.

Molly's P.O.V.

"Keep up, Julius!" Molly.

"Look at my boots!" Came a shrill cry. The cry of an upset fashion king. "Molly, darling! You said you would keep me clean!" Molly looked back to her friend, and watched as he stepped into another patch of mud. She had to keep herself from bursting out into laughter when another agonized yell sounded from the man. "Cruel treatment for the positively fabulous should be outlawed immediately!"

"We're almost there, Julius." Molly again.

"This is absolutely the worst!" Julius followed her words up with his own whining.

"Julius!"

"Horrible!"

"Look Julius we're here!"

"Terrible things!"

"Julius."

"This goddess awful mud!"

"Jul-!"

"Molly, why do you punish me- oh my!" Julius' whining ceased as he finally stepped across the wooden plank Molly was standing on, and focused his gaze up to the little building in front of them. The Witch Princess's hut.

Molly snorted as Julius turned to her with a brightened look. "Molly, dear, look at this adorable little house!" He cooed, and rushed forward, forgetting the mud that dirtied his boots. Molly prayed that he wouldn't remember it, either. She wasn't looking forward to his lecture about cleanliness, and then the exercise of actual cleaning that would more likely than not, follow. Still, for now, she didn't regret bringing her best friend. Julius was the only friend she could think of that was civil, but brave. Besides Wizard...but she didn't even know what friendship terms they stood on. He continually refused to help her with these problems, so obviously she wasn't going to ask again.

Molly strode up beside the flamboyant man, who was now standing, admiring the pastel colors. He mumbled something about the swamp and fungus around it being unhealthy, and then alternated that with quiet compliments to it's 'cute little shape'. While Julius was preoccupied, Molly took a deep breath and raised her hand to knock on the door to the witch's hut.

The door flung open and Molly, with an 'oof', was pushed away from the doorway. Witch Princess stuck her head out, smiling at Julius. "Hello there!" She purred in greeting to Julius. And it was obvious the greeting was to him only. "Your compliments to my home don't go unnoticed." She stepped back, waving the man in. Molly caught the girls eye, and she visually gritted her teeth, and nodded her head. Molly took it as a grudging invite in, and shuffled in behind Julius.

Julius continued his fawning, pointing at all of Witch Princess' extravagant decorations, the pink and purple themed room, her "cute little potions", and finally, the hat perched atop her head. Molly rolled her eyes. She didn't like that she had to sit through so many compliments towards this...woman, of all people. Maybe she should have brought Kathy...or even Luna, instead.

"Oh, why thank you!" Witch Princess giggled. She reached a hand out to Julius, snaking it around his back. "If you ever want to entertain the thought of living here…"

Julius scoffed, rolling his eyes. "I'm married, honey." He stated. Witch Princess pursed her lips, and let go of the man.

"Sorry, doll." Molly attempted to imitate her friend. It earned her a scowl from both the people in the room. Though Molly could tell only one of them was friendly.

"So tell me," Witch Princess finally vocally addressed Molly, her lips still pursed. "Why are you here?" She asked, crossing her arms.

Molly forced her brown eyes to meet Witch Princess' sharp amber ones. "I need to know…" She took a heavy breath. "What happened between you and Kasey?"

Witch Princess stared at Molly like she was stupid. "Has your brother really not told you?" She scoffed, looking like she didn't believe it.

The brunette shook her head, looking down. "Whenever I ask him, he clams up and refuses to talk to me…" She explained. "When I finally got him to talk, he ran away before I could ask more." She looked up again, meeting Witch Princess' eyes. She almost looked shocked. "He said you were best friends."

And the shocked expression was gone in an instant, replaced by a face twisted in a laugh. "Friends?" She gasped between breaths. "Best friends? He has the audacity to say that, after what he did? We were never friends, I'm sure! Not in his eyes!" She turned and walked towards her table, motioning for Molly to take a seat in the chair across from her.

Julius, however, beat her to it, and motioned for her to sit in his lap. Molly complied, and curled into Julius' arms, muttering something about him not being gentlemanlike. She wouldn't push away the comfort of her friend now, though. She didn't like the expressions Witch Princess had been pulling since they'd arrived.

"Now, about your brother…"
