POV-Anakin Skywalker
I shakily got to my feet as Asajj limped over to Obi wan. I rushed as quickly as I could manage over to Obi wans still body as I looked over my shoulder to see Ahsoka, Rex, Gregor and Korkie rapidly take off after the asssassin speeder that disappeared just out of sight as they took off-closing the gap. My attention was drawn back to Obi wan as I prayed to the Force for Ahsoka and the baby to stay safe.
"Come on, Kenobi wake up!" Asajj hissed furiously, shaking him. "Dont tell me you've finally been beat by a girl."
"Obi wan?" His body didnt move as I grabbed his wrist and took off his glove, checking for his pulse as I held my breath.
I breathed out a sigh of relied as I felt his pulse beat steadily, shoving his glove back onto his hand and slinging his arm over my shoulder.
"Grab his other arm, we have to catch up with that assassin and with any luck, we'll meet the others along the way." I stated as we both picked Obi wan up and rushed down to the docks.
Asaaj and I ran dock stairs and down a few alleyways before we could even see our speeder we had arrived in. I glanced at Obi wan momentarily, worried for any permanent damage that assassin has caused us. His head hung low and his chin touched his chest, his hair cascading over his face hopelessly. We dragged him into the speeder, laying him down on the back seat with his head elevated on my knee as Asajj jumped into the front and revived the engines before we launched from the dock and into th open air.
Asajj tilted us to head up and out of the underworld as there was no use in trying to get away in a speeder in the underworld, it would be suicide. She hovered the speeder below the mainintersection above the underworld, looking for any sign of Ahsoka or the assassin. I reached out into the Force, trying to locate Ahsoka's force signature.
'The Senate! Anakin!' I heard Erin's voice yell in my head.
I instantly turned my head in the direction of the senate where I spotted two speeder in the distance, one in front shooting and the other with three lightsabers ignited, deflecting blasts from the other speeder- both of which were heading towards the senate.
"They're heading towards the senate!" I yelled as the wind was going against us.
She nodded and projected the speeder forward, exceeding the safety speed. I glanced down at Obi wan and I felt him move his head from side to side.
"Obi wan?" I questioned, my voice left hanging in the air.
Suddenly his eyes flew open and stared right into mine, fear evident in his eyes as his body tensed.
"noooo!" he screamed before falling back into unconciousness.
I felt fear wash into me once Obi wan fell back into unconciousness, my thioughts instantly trained on Ahsoka.
"Ventress step on it! I sense that Ahsoka is in danger."
POV-Ahsoka Tano
I glanced at Anakin one last time as we ran to the speeder docks, my heart aching and longing just to hold Anakin for eternity, for his soul to be connected to mine and his heart to beat in sync with mine as he would do when he holds me.
I love him for his imperfection and we both complete each other, our flaws being corrected by the other with a single thought. Anakin Skywalker has done so much for me and if I wasnt chosen as his padawan I dont know if anything of this or what hes done for me ever would have happened. Saying, he amazing doesnt even cover half the words I can say, he is so loving and caring and does whatever it take to keep me happy. Not too long ago when we were first testing the waters with our new found love he tracked down my parents like he had done with his own before. Anakin had given the Jedi Codes and transmission numbers just so they could call me and so my mind would be put at rest for a while. I didnt know at the time but he later cleared that when he as how it was. He had said to my family previously to keep the conversation casual and they had done, even coming back with an old nickname. He had risked getting the biggest hiding from the council members if they had ever found out, all for me. He'd do anything; No Matter What, it took.
Anakin is the one in my life I draw my strenght from and it is my one fear that if I lost him I would be lost, lost forvever in the infinite of the force. So very lost and misguided. The very thought of Anakin, my sweet, sweet Anakin not being next to me and our unborn baby is unbearable to think about. The constant remind as our baby grew up and then trained as a Jedi, following in our footsteps would hurt but also something to be proud of.
After today he doesnt know it yet but I'm getting together with Padme to plan our wedding and so is Satine, we're also surprising Obi wan and everyone with a quick ceremony in the temple in the secret room, to finalise Obi wan and Satine's marriage even after they had already they've already had their small wedding of four on Mandalore in secret.
"Which way did that assassin go?! Rex!" I shouted as we came out of the underworld.
"That way!" Gregor yelled, pointing.
"Towards the Senate!" Rex added.
"thanks boys! " I replied, taking off towards the senate as the assassin weaved in and out of incoming speeders. "you better grab something I'm not going to let this assassin escape!"
I changed gears and went over the recommended speed, hoping that the council doesnt get too much of a hefty speeding fine. I pulled away from the rest of the traffic and swerved to the right just as several rounds of laser fire went over my head, instantly hearing the soothing hum of lightsabers at the ready.
"Where's it coming from?" I shouted, keeping the speeder steady as they deflected fire, Rex and Gregor by my sides and Korkie in front-almost blocking the entire viewport.
"Its coming fom the assassin!" Korkie grunted, "ah...She's shooting yet theres no one driving!"
"What?! That's impossible!" I cried in disbelief, until an awful feeling flooded my gut. "unless...no it cant be"
"It cant be what?" Gregor asked.
"Erin?" I gasped, asking no one inparticular.
"Ahsoka we must focus, Anakin would never forgive me if we crashed."
"Right!" I claimed, my heart in my hand as I increased our speed, closing the gap between us and...Erin.
POV-Erin Skywalker
Everything was going to plan, Anakin now had the strength he needs to stay on the right path of fulfilling the prophecy of 'Balance' one of the chosen. Obi wan has seen what he needs to through a forced bond I forged with him whilst he was unconcious, he needs to embrace his attachments instead of pushing them out, even though he has made his commitments. The way it was done was cruel but it was needed if we are to suceed in bringing down what I have forseen now that I am free of the Sith Lords control. Ahsoka's lesson is still in motion as I lead them towards the Senate, MD controlling the main navigation with the help of the auto-nav.
Korkie was standing on the speeder showing no fear as I nearly melted but stuck to the task at hand, bonding the three boys together as they lack trust in each other and the order-especially Gregor, soon they will realise how they need each other in order to fight another day. Ventress was still yet to come.
POV-Ahsoka Tano
I pushed the thrusters to the limit as I flew int the laser fire from leading speeder. Korkie began to tire but showed no signs of giving up as they deflected the shots as Rex and Gregor let their guard down between each block. I needed to make a decision and fast, we were not going to last long like this.
'Where are you Anakin?!' I called over our bond.
"We see you heading towards the Senate, we've just come out of the underworld are are closing as we speak." Anakins voice came over my comm.
'Hurry' I yelled in my head, keeping my hands on the wheel, 'I dont think these three can last much longer.'
"On our way, Anakin out."
I sighed as I continued to fly ahead, my heart pounidng and the adrenaline pumping rapidly in my veins, my reflexes as sharp as ever and my worry and love for Anakin lingering in my mind, heart and creeping on my face.
'Ahsoka, please focus on the task at hand, we'll never get anywhere with you worry about me. Duty must come first, we are Jedi, we are to save as many lives as we can. I promise I'll come back to you safe and sound'
I was taken aback as those words of wisdom echoed in my head.
'Are you okay, Anakin?'
'What did I just say?' he said as I switched back to my commander mode. 'Lets just say that our Jedi High Council Leader has influenced me.'
'See your tail soon, Skyguy.'
'You know it, Snips'
I mentally put my shieds up and kept the bond open as I switched to commander mode, surveying my surroundings. I looked out the viewport where Korkie was stuggling and Rex and Gregor glanced at each other as they shut their lightsabers off, nodding before jumping up using the Force to propel themselves to the assassins' speeder, all without my go ahead. I watched them glide up high to gain the high ground before igniting their sabers mid-air. The laser fire, no longer flying over my head as Korkie sheathed his weapon and jumped back and into the speeder, briefly touching my shoudler as he climbed back in. I looked straight forward where the assassin ignited the azure blades and brought them above her head to block Rex and Gregor as they brought their blades down ontop, using it as leverage to push off of the assassin lightsabers to flip behind the assassin. I sensed Rex, mentally connect to the force to tell gregor he was going to strike high as Gregor went the strike low before a blinding stark light eminated from the speeder, blocking me from seeing what had happened next. Once the light had faded, nothing except for Gregor and Rex were left on the speeder, my anxiety rising by the minute.
"Ahsoka, do you have a visual!" Rex screamed over the comm, waking me from my day dream.
"How about right here!" A sinister voice stated fom ebhind as I heard the sound of a lightsaber ignite.
I switched the speeder to auto-pilot with the navigation system set for the senate building as I ignited my lightsabers and engage the assassin along with Korkie.
POV-Anakin Skywalker
Obi wan laid unconcious on the back seat as I had taken over flying from Ventress as I dove the speeder in and out of oncoming traffic. Lights all around the city had begun to turn on automatically as the city darkened under the setting sun making it harder to navigate.
I could still feel my bond with Ahsoka still open and I could sense her emotions loud and clear as if they were my own. She was in her commander mode as I couldnt feel anything from her meaning she has her mind guarded. I was glad that she had listene to me and had taken my words to heart. I swerved the speeder and headed on a straight towards the senate, seeing one blue and one green lightsaber attached to the silhouette of two different people coming down on two blue ones. My eyes immediately flared with hatred as my mind comprehended who the person was with the blue sabers. The assassin who has taken my sister or my sister herself. I shook off the feeling as I focused on fying the speeder, glimpsing a white light comign off of the assassins' speeder. All of a sudden my heart fell into my stomach as Ahsoka's anxiety and fear washed into me like the wind in my face as I forced the engines to their limits, jerking the controls forward as far as they would go.
I pulled away from the main flow of traffic and move in closer down closer to ground level where I spotted a blur of emerald lightsabers clashing against blue to my left and in front of me were two shocked and puzzled faces which i recognised as Gregor and Rex when they look at me. I continued to fly the speeder keeping the same speed as the other. Dread dawned on me when I realised that two of the emerald blades belonged to Ahsoka and the third one to Korkie.
"Rex, Gregor, whats going on?" I said over my comm as I refocussed on flying, glancing between the two speeder on auto-pilot and the senate.
"Anakin, Ahsoka and Korkie have engage the assassin. I mean we tried to engage the assassin on its speeder but somehow it teleported. We tried to override the speeder controls to gain access to fly it back around and help but something has hard-wire it straght for the senate roof. "
"Alright I'll swing around and cut you off at the senate but get ready to jump off."
"Copy that, Anakin."
I cut the link as I saw Ahsoka and Korkie furiously parry and attack in a heated battle with the assassin and the senate was less than one klick away and closing, fast.
"Ahsoka, please respond" I called into my commlink as she continued to duel against the Assasssin.
I got no response as I saw her swipe her blade at the assassin's feet but to no avail it did not stop the attacks as Korkie struck from behind.
"Please come home safe." I mumbled to myself as the thoughts of Ahsoka nd our baby plagued my mind, however I tore my mind away from that and focused on getting to the senate to stop Rex and Gregor.
POV-Third Person.
Ahsoka struck blow for blow and parried and blocked as she fought with Korkie against this mystery assassin who is unbeknownst to them as Erin. After breaking free of the Sith Lords mind control Erin has gained the imformation needed to make sure that the seven chosen prevail against the empire and stop the reign of terror from the sith. The future of the Jedi depends on what happens in the cruicial moments before Order 66 commences in 44 days. With the newly found information and with the training of the Jedi, Grand High Jedi Master Erin Skywalker has lead the other six and the very powerful Rex on a mission, in order to train and teach them but ultimately guide them to make the prophecy come true as it was fortold mileniums ago. Through the ways of the force our assassin aka Erin has tested three of our heroes so far and has four yet to come. Her betrayal has yet to surface as she fights against and Ahsoka.
Korkie locked lightsabers with the assassin as he pushed down on her and Ahsoka on the other.
'Trust in the Force' A voice rang in his head
He took no notice of it as he focused on the combat at hand, using his memories of himself and Erin to fuel his strength.
'You must trust me and them in order to succeed. use the force korkie!' the voice rang again as he recognised it as Erin's.
He glanced at Ahsoka and he jerked his head as a signal to move as he sent a powerful force push at the assassin, pushing her off the edge of the speeder as Ahsoka dove out of the way. Ahsok scrambled to look over the edge and to her surprise she did not see a body descending to the ground. what she saw was nothing but the city below.
"Korkie...?" She said in disbelief, "Where did she go?!" Her question went unanswered, her voice trailing off and into the wind.
Anakin sped past the senate and turned the speeder around left one hundred and eighty degrees, swinging back around to stop the assassins speeder from crashing into the senate. He headed for the roof of the senate shutting his speeder down and leaving a now concious Obi wan and Ventress to their own thoughts as he jumped out and ran to the egde of the roof, as close as her could without sliding down, reaching into the force to repel the incoming speeder. With less than 100 metres left to go until it crash into the senate Anakin thrusted his arms out and focused his energy, sending a powerful force pushed out, repeling the speeder as Rex and Gregor flung themselves from it, landing nto far behind Anakin as he came out of his stance.
"Are you guys alright?" He asked walking up to them both.
"never better." Gregor said.
"sorry about leaving Ahsoka like that, Anakin" Rex apologized.
"I'm just glad korkie was there." Anakin replied as he saw Ahsoka and Korkie deactivating their lightsabers on the speeder heading straight for them all.
POV-Anakin Skywalker
"AHSOKA, LOOK OUT!" I screamed as the assassin climbed up and over the side of the speeder.
Ahsoka powered down the speeder, just short of hitting the senate as the assassin, Force jumped off and began to flee via the rooftops. My instincts were telling me to go after the assassin but for some reason the force wanted me to stay as did the others, waves of confusion rolling off of them as my eyes glued onto Ahsoka's body as Korkie picked her up and force jumped over to us. I fell to my knees as he placed her body on the rooftoop, the adrenaline thick ithin my veins as I checked for her vital signs.
'I'm fine Anakin, just exhausted and overwhelmed.' Her sweet voice said in my mind as relief washed over me.
"Ventress take her back to the temple and get her checked over. The rest of us will continue here." I commanded.
Ventress nodded, picking her up via her arm and slinging her arm around her shoulder, dragging her into the speeder. Night had fallen over the city but visibility was still good due to the many lights, making our job still do-able regardless.
"Obi wan, Rex, Gregor, Korkie, we're bringing that assassin, tonight. regardless of what happens she will be in our custody by morning." They all nodded as my words still rang fresh in the air.
"Well, boys you heard Anakin. We have work to do" Obi wan said as he appointed them all different directions to go in, leaving me to my thoughts.
"Erin or whoever you may be, you have a lot of explaining to do cause I dont think there is such thing as custody for a Grand High Jedi" I mumbled to myself as I took to the rooftops in search of the assassin in the final chase.
