TOKYO
Rika woke up slowly and held her head.
"Ouch, this headache is horrible. I must've had a bad dream." She said as she looked around and saw that she was in a lab.
"Wait, where am I? Renamon, where are you?" Rika asked in a panic, fennec fox ears and tail popping out when Renamon teleported in.
"Rika, calm down. We are safe here. Sora brought us here when you passed out." Renamon replied.
"Wait, who is Sora?" Rika asked, confused.
"I am," Sora said as she came in with Izzy. Rika recognized them and their Digimon, Biyomon and Tentomon.
"Sora Takenouchi? Izzy Izumi? You guys exist!" Rika said, shocked.
"You know our names? And we haven't introduced ourselves." Izzy said with a raised brow.
"Yeah, I thought you guys were only characters in the Digimon anime." Rika said, showing embarrassment.
"Us? Anime characters?" Sora asked, not knowing about the anime.
"Well, I can explain," Rika said, telling the two about her life, and how she was a Digimon Tamer, which was different from being a Digi-Destined.
"Now I see. There must be some scientific explanation for this, like maybe dimensions are merging or something," Izzy said while scratching his chin.
Suddenly, an alarm sounded as a scene showed a giant web on Tokyo Tower.
"I recognize that web anywhere. That's Dokugamon's work." Tentomon said.
"Rika, you are now a Mew Mew. And as of now, you and Sora should stop him," Izzy said, as he gave her a Power Pendant.
"What's this?" Rika asked.
"It's a Power Pendant. It will help you with your new powers," Izzy replied.
Soon, Rika was jumping on the rooftops with Sora, who exposed her Scarlet Tanager wings to fly unseen.
"So, how is it?" Sora asked.
"Wow, this is awesome. I always wondered what it was like to be Renamon," Rika said excitedly, her fox ears and tail popping out again.
Suddenly, the two reached Dokugamon as he was on a rooftop laying poisonous webbing that trapped humans into cocoons.
"Cocoons? Don't tell me Dokugamon has been holding hostages." Rika said with an irritated look on her face.
"I believe he may be using them for dinner, Rika. Let's transform." Sora replied.
As Rika used her pendant, her clothes melted away, and her hair band tore away, making her hair go down. As she span around, she felt cherry blossoms attaching to her body, forming into her Mew outfit, which was a yellow sleeveless shirt with her stomach exposed, a miniskirt, knee-high boots like Sailor Moon's, and gloves like Renamon's. There were purple frills and details on her outfit, and her neck was adorned with a yellow collar with purple frills which held her power pendant.
"How dare you make the human race your next dinner? For the future of Earth, we will be of service!" Sora and Rika said, doing their own poses.
"So, we meet again, Rika Nonaka. You seem different. And you, bird girl, I don't know you, but something inside my data tells me I should." Dokugamon said, remembering the time Renamon defeated him.
"This Digimon knows you?" Mew Sora said with a raised brow.
"Yeah, I remember now. It was because of her that Renamon digivolved into Kyuubimon for the first time," Rika said, remembering that event.
"So, you do remember. But I am restored thanks to the master, and I will have my revenge!" Dokugamon said as he prepared to attack.
"Okay, let's do this," Rika said, summoning a staff-like Sakuyamon's.
"Biyomon, let's do this," Mew Sora said, summoning her weapon as she used her Digivice to digivole Biyomon into Birdramon.
"Renamon, let's go," Rika said, as Renamon digivolved into Kyuubimon.
"Not this time! Poison Thread!" Dokugamon yelled as it fired a poison thread from its spinnerets.
"Not falling victim to that!" Rika said as she used her staff to launch a fox spirit out, which burned the web away.
"What power is this? A Tamer should not be fighting in place of her Digimon partner!" Dokugamon said in shock.
"Well, I'm more of a Tamer now. You shall call me Mew Tao, and I will fight with Kyuubimon to protect Earth!" Rika said as she used her staff to summon more fox spirits as Kyuubimon got besides her and readied her Fox Tail Inferno.
Mew Sora saw this and flew into the air alongside Birdramon, as she prepared her Meteor Wing.
"Fox Spirit Swarm," Mew Tao called out as she launched the fox spirits.
"Fox Tail Inferno," Kyuubimon cried, unleashing fireballs from her nine tails.
"Scarlet Flare," Mew Sora yelled as she whacked her fireball with her weapon.
"Meteor Wing," Birdramon yelled as she unleashed meteors from her wings.
The four attacks knocked Dokugamon back hard as his web was burned away, releasing the hostages who lay unconscious.
"You fools, look what you've done to my beautiful web. Now you will pay, Poison Cob…" Dokugamon said when a male voice called out.
"Chaos Spear," it yelled out as a yellow arrowhead-like bolt came and struck Dokugamon in the mouth, reducing him to a Digi Egg as it was warped back to the Digital World. A black-colored hedgehog jumped down. He had white fur on his chest, had red marks on his quills, and wore Hover Shoes.
"You are nothing but talk, spider. Not worthy of my attention." The hedgehog said bluntly.
"Whoa, who are you?" Mew Sora said, causing the hedgehog to look at her.
"I am of no concern to you, ma'am. I am doing this on Maria's behalf." The hedgehog replied.
"Wait, who is Maria?" Mew Tao asked.
"None of your business." The hedgehog said as it ran away.
In an underwater base, Dr. Eggman saw the fight from his screen.
"So, Shadow finally shows himself. I never liked how he became all hero all of a sudden. I will have to punish him for that." Dr. Eggman said, as he prepared a robot, its capsule containing the name "Metal Shadow."
