Chapter 10- I've Never Been In Love

Another two days passes before Logan was able to go home. As him and Kendall emerged from behind the sliding doors the sun burned the teen's eyes. Though it was only two days, Logan felt like it had been ages since he saw anything other than the white walls of his hospital suite. The security guard assigned to Logan was trailing behind the two. He scanned the area with sharp eyes. Kendall only hoped that they could be rid of him soon enough. Logan hated the extra company. Kendall could tell from a simple glimpse over the young boy's frame. He had a put on his lips and a slouch as he walked. The slouch alone would let anyone that paid him enough attention to guess something was up.

"Car is this way." Kendall says placing an arm around Logan's shoulder.

"Adrian I'm sure you could take the day off." Logan says turning around. "I'm only going home"

"Will you be alone?" Logan was thinking up a lie, no one would be home until after seven, but he didn't want this stranger in his home.

"No," Kendall quickly cut in. "He's coming over to my apartment. I'll be there and my roommate James will be present too."

"I thought you were his father. That's what the police report said." Officer Tarry must have not ratted them out at all.

"Oh right I meant to say we're going over to my friend's apartment. His name is Carlos and James will still be present." The answer didn't sound too convincing. The security guard waved them on none the less. ""

"Go on ahead. You're numbers in my phone when you need me Logan." He began walking away to his black Mercedes.

"Way to go dad." He snickered once Adrian was out of hearing.

"Hey I would've thought officer Tarry would put something different in the report he was handed."

"How old did you say you were anyway? I mean we've got an age gap but it's certainly not huge enough to be my father. Even buff and ugly could tell that."

"Well he didn't seem to care. Otherwise he totally would've just called my bullshit a second ago." They had reached the car, and Kendall held open the door for his lover. Logan blushed at the gesture but settled into the seat nonetheless.

"Still, you must be an awful liar if you forgot you're own lie." Kendall chuckled as he buckled his seat belt.

"Well than for your sake, just be happy I'm a horrible liar." The roar of the engine came to life, and Logan sat back in the seat finally being able to relax. The hospital had been stressful. The loss of sleep was already beginning to take a toll on his brain. Kendall hummed along with the radio and held onto Logan's hand as he drove. It was all so soothing.

"Don't fall asleep yet. You'll be able to take a nap in a comfy bed in just a few moments." The sound of Kendall's voice has his eyes snapping back open. He looks through the window expecting to see his street up ahead but the area is unknown to him.

"Where are we?" Logan pipes. "This doesn't look like the way to my house."

"We're not going to your house. Like I told the guard, we're going to my place." Logan's eyes widened. He wasn't prepared for this. "You're gonna spend the night there." Now Logan's jaw was on the floor. Kendall had just hit him with a double whammy. Not only were they going to Kendall's place, but he was spending the night. What did people in their situation even do when staying the night with each other?

Stupid question because Logan knew damn well what people would do. He would be lying if he said his body wasn't excited to spend the night with Kendall. His emotions on the other hand were doing flips and tumbles. He couldn't pin what exactly he felt about spending the night with Kendall. He nodded in response not sure what else to say. He certainly couldn't go home. His mom was under the impression he wouldn't be home until Tuesday. Wait today was only Sunday.

"How long will I be staying with you?"

"Until Tuesday night. I'm glad you got out early don't get me wrong, but you told your mom you were spending the weekend with friends, and well I didn't have the money for a hotel so you get my couch." His couch, meaning they weren't going to sleep in the same bed. Logan didn't know whether he should feel relieved or depressed that Kendall didn't want to share his bed with him. After all he was his bo- well sort of boyfriend. Logan made a mental note that the no label thing was becoming increasingly annoying.

"What's wrong?" Kendall asks as he parks the car.

"I don't know." Logan answers honestly.

"So you're in a sad mood for no reason?"

"No one ever said I was sad." The teen laughed.

"Touché, but you're definitely not happy."

"I'm just undecided."

"About what?"

"Emotions." Kendall scrunched his eyebrows in confusion. The teen had never been so vague with him before and it was frustrating to say the least.

"About?" The teacher pressed.

"Spending the night with you." Kendall was a little taken back not expecting the answer he got.

"What do you mean?"

"The situation we're in, you think I'm attractive right?"

"Of course I do."

"Well I think you're attractive, most people who are attracted to each other the way we are, they don't just spend the night at each others house without an idea of, without wanting, they normally even hint at, they want to-"

"Are you saying you thought I was going to invite you to bed?" Kendall sounded amused, and Logan wanted to die on the spot.

"Well I did until you told me I was on the couch. I mean did you not want to share a bed with me?" Logan closed his eyes not sure he wanted to hear the answer. There's a minute of silence, and then a roaring laugh shakes the vehicle. His eyes snapped open and he turned to look at the teacher. How could he laugh at him like a time like this? "It's not funny," the teen whines.

"Oh shit Logan I'm sorry," the blonde says through a fit of laughter. "Just wow never thought you'd get so worked up over a bed. I just thought you'd be more comfortable sleeping away from me."

"So then you don't want to-"

"Oh no I want to believe me I do. It's just you're so young Logan. Our relationship doesn't even have a label yet. Why rush into sex?" Logan didn't hear the last part. He was still focusing on the words "you're so young".

"Well maybe you should date someone your own age then." The teen fumed.

"Logan that's not what I meant. I just meant that you have time to lose your purity. If it's with me fine, but wait until you love me first. Attraction comes at first sight. It hardly means anything."

"Love can come at first sight too."

"I don't believe in that crap. Love at first sight only exists in movies and fairy tales. It's not that easy to fall in love with someone because no one is perfect."

"I wouldn't know, I've never been in love."

"Neither have I." Kendall confesses quietly. Logan gasps because in truth he's shocked.

"I would've thought that maybe you and Ky-"

"Kyle was a pig. He only ever wanted to have sex, and when I kept saying no to sex, but okay to other things we'd always get into a major blow out. No pun intended, but that was lust not love."

"Wait are you saying… that you're a virgin."

"I've never slept with another guy before no."

"Girls?"

"Two when I was in high school, but other than that well, I've never gotten past third base." Logan was shocked completely shocked to say the least.

"So are you a top or a bottom?" Logan asks laughing. Might as well put him on the spot just like Kendall did in his bedroom a few days ago.

"Definite top. So if we ever get to that point your ass is mine Henderson." The two laughed before finally getting out of the car. Maybe sex wasn't anywhere in the near future but there was a fun night ahead of them.
