Chapter 10: Separated

So, I opened my eyes expecting something horrible. That something horrible consisting of me being tied up, a blindfold over my eyes.

"Heh. Thought she could protect those twins? Pathetic"

Wait. Oh hell no! I wasn't… REALLY!?

"She can hear every word we say, yet can't do a thing about it"

"MASTER!"

"Shut up, blondy!"

They seriously didn't recreate the dream I had. Please tell me they didn't…

"Rin? Len?"

"Yami-sama!"

Yup, they did.

I started to squirm, kicking my legs. Currently I was hanging by the rope that tied my hands together. My legs were free. I was blindfolded, but not gagged. The air smelled like coagulated blood.

Time to stick to the script again.

"WHERE AM I!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THEM!?"

"Think we should unblind her now?"

"Yeah, why not?"

Footsteps walked closer and I kicked out, only for the person to hold my legs.

"Uh-uh, bad girl"

Someone took the blindfold off and I was blinded by the disgusting sight.

The entire room was caked in clotted blood that seemed to have been there for a while. In one corner were a pile of rotting bodies, the clothes indicated that they were once the other Vocaloids. Rin and Len were huddled together. Scientists were circled around them.

Screw sticking to the script! This is just torture!

"LET THEM GO!"

"Oh? And why would we do that?" The man who seemed to be the leader taunted, letting my legs go and picking up a knife.

"You had the dream didn't you? About how you downloaded the Vocaloids? How Len fell head over heels for you? How you murdered us all in your front yard?" His voice got harsher with every question. Using the knife, he cut into the skin of my cheek and made a line all the way down to my chin.

"What is he talking about!?" Len was freaking out by this point but I couldn't answer him.

"Oh, you didn't tell them? That's cruel" He stated.

"What you're doing is cruel!" I snapped. He glared then slapped me before making a huge gash on the side of my stomach.

"OW!"

"You had a nightmare as well didn't you? In your dream, after you found out their secret? Then at that exact same time in reality, you had a nightmare exactly like this? THIS IS REALITY!" He drove the knife into my shoulder, causing me to scream and cry.

"WHY ARE YOU HURTING HER?" Len's voice rang out. Rin was sobbing so hard, words couldn't form.

"Simple. She downloaded you. Speaking of which…" He snapped his fingers and the scientists started to converge on them.

"NO! RIN! LEN!"

"Time for you to WAKE UP!" He raised his knife but didn't get the chance to strike.

"STOP!"

Everyone froze. In the doorway of the room was a girl about our age. She has long pink hair tied up in a ponytail with fringy bangs, similarly pink eyes and pale skin. Right now, she was wearing a lab coat just like everyone else and brown boots. [1]

"What are you doing here Sakura?" The man with the knife hissed and she glared right back. Rivalry, maybe?

"Master has sent me to tell you that your orders have been cancelled"

"No way!"

Tears ran down my cheeks, all of me shaking from fear.

"Yes, they are to be placed in cells and the execution will be moved to three days from now"

"Is there a reason for this?" He asked.

I let out a wail.

"SHUT UP!" He yelled, punching me in the gut. I let out a strangled cry and stayed quiet, trying to catch my breath.

"He wants to make the execution more torturous and whatever he has planned will take three days from now to be prepared so for now you need to leave them to me" She said adding "Let the girl go and leave"

The man grumbled before doing a hand signal and cutting the ropes holding me. Him and the rest of the scientists left. As soon as they were gone, Rin and Len ran over to me and hugged me tightly.

We sobbed and cried.

"Separate" the woman said, walking towards us.

Knowing better than to defy, we split apart.

"Stand"

And we did.

"Now" she grabbed handcuffs from her pocket and cuffed each of us. A man came in and looked at her.

"My orders, ma'am?"

"Take the twins to their assigned cell. I'll take the girl to her's"

"We're being separated?" Rin asked, finally managing to form words.

"Yes"

"NO WAY!" Rin ran towards me, only for the man to grab her by the neck and force her back.

"Ow! You're hurting me!"

"Let her go!" I cried, trying to get to them. The man grabbed both Rin and Len and dragged them away, both of them struggling and yelling for me.

"No! Stop! Please!" I panicked, being dragged away by 'Sakura'.

Eventually I just let her drag me away.

She threw me into a prison cell and locked the door.

"I'm sorry" she said once, it sounded like she was on the verge of tears.

Then she walked away.

[1] – I'm just guessing on the eye and skin colour because that wasn't added in the description VocaloidWriter gave me. NOTE: Sakura is a good guy, just not right now.

Me: I listened to 'Feathers from Across the Seasons' by Rin and Len while writing this and cried so, so much. T_T Yeah… This story will have a happy end don't worry! Just right now it'll be sad. See you next time.
