Hey guys, I'm so very sorry that I didn't update :( I know, I said that I would update soon but then I got these really bad messages from some people... that made me miserable (I'm not a very confident person) so I stopped... I'm so sorry :( I saw that I was torturing one of you because of didn't update soon? I'M SO VERY SORRY! I hope you would accept this apology with a new chapter! Thank you for understanding guys 3 Love you all!
We fell on the soft mattress of our Ritz Carlton suit. Raleigh's arms were still wrapped around me and our lips were still glued together. Suddenly, Raleigh was over me. He broke the kiss that felt like eternity and just starred at me. Those big, turquoise eyes burned deep into me... again. Every time... every time... I grabbed the nearest pillow I could find and swatted him with it.
"Stop starring at me! Ugh, it's so annoying." I said to him with frustration.
"Why not?"
"It's annoying." I muttered.
He leaned in more so that the tip of our noses were touching. His eyes were still locked with mine. I felt the warmth rising in my cheeks. Come on, he always had to do this. "Stop it!" I whined.
He ignored me and just kept on starring at me.
"I'm going to close my eyes if you keep starring." I said to him.
He suddenly jabbed his finger into my side and I flinch and giggled, "What are you doing!" I said to him between giggles. He ignored me... again and started to jab his fingers on both sides of my waist. I screamed and started to giggled again. "Stop!" I yelled at him. Tears of laughter were prickling my eyes. I finally had the guts to slap him hard on his cheek. He flinched and I took the chance to flip him over the bed so that I was on top of him.
"Ha." I said to him with triumph.
Raleigh just chuckled, "You are pretty feisty."
I rolled my eyes, "Well, what else am I suppose to do if someone is jabbing me on the sides!" I yelled at him.
Raleigh smiled at me. Those white teeth of his were shinning so bright it nearly blinded me. He tried to break free but I immediately sat down on his lap and put my legs on both sides of his body... I was straddling him.
"Hmmm, this position of yours kind of reminded me on that day when you got drunk." Raleigh teased me, "Yup, you were definitely drunk that day." Raleigh sat up and kissed me. I broke the kiss and wrapped my arms around his neck. Embarrassment flooded my cheeks, "Couldn't help it. I know, I'm a big slut when I'm drunk but I'm only a slut when I'm drunk. Got it?" I said to him.
Raleigh leaned in for another kiss and our lips connected. I felt his lips turn into a smile and I heard him murmur, "Got it." Between tiny little kisses.
His arms and hands slowly ran down my blue dress. His arms rolled up and down my back which sent sparks of shivers up my spine. When he touches me, it felt like he was electrocuting me.
I ran my hands up and down his soft dirty blonde hair. Then dipped down for a deeper and softer kiss.
That's all we did that night.
We kissed.
We hugged.
We wrapped ourselves with a blanket, I was placed on top of Raleigh's bare chest. My body moved up and down by the rhythm of breathing. His heart beat, took me to sleep.
I woke up, Raleigh was still under me. I starred at his sleepy face. His hair was messy, his eyelashes were so long and his lips were a bit apart. God he looked so cute. I tried to get out of his grip when I decided enough starring and time to get going. His arms were firmly wrapped around my waist and it was hard for me to let free. I had to use all my body force to get out of his grip, I stumbled and fell hard on the ground. Stupid ass Raleigh.
I walked outside and turned on the television.
There was nothing good on T.V yet since it was only 6 o'clock in the morning, I switched the channel to watch the news.
A few minutes later, Raleigh came bursting out of the bedroom into the living room. All dressed up.
"Caroline, we need to go. I forgot that we had to see the jaegers today." Raleigh said.
"I thought it was a few days later..." I replied.
Raleigh shook his head and grabbed my arm, "Come on, get ready. We need to be there soon."
Okay. Fine.
We arrived the Shatterdome.
It was enormous. Mako was waiting outside for us. I got out of the helicopter and gasped. What a beautiful scene. I waved at Mako and she waved back. She held an umbrella for me to take and I did. Raleigh came behind me and suddenly wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me into a kiss. I gasped in horror and let go. I looked at him with a questioned face.
He only shrugged and said, "Why not?"
We walked into the big elevator and it sent us down, under ground. Mako and I started to talk about the different Jaegers that were stowed in the Shatterdome.
The big doors of the elevator opened and we walked inside. I glanced up at the beautiful Jaegers parked neatly. Mako led us to where Gipsy Danger 2.0 was. Raleigh suddenly stopped and looked at someone.
"Herc..." Raleigh said.
The man turned around and gave a warm and welcoming smile to him, "Raleigh, how are you?"
Raleigh nodded, "I'm good, I'm good. I never knew that you still will be here."
Herc shrugged, "I love Jaegers and I need to keep an eye if those Kaiju bastards are coming. People are still training and people are still fulfilling their dream of becoming a Jaeger pilot."
Raleigh nodded.
"So what brings you here to Hong Kong?" Herc asked.
Raleigh shrugged, "Visiting the city. Vacation. Meeting Gipsy Danger 2.0..."
Herc smiled, "She's a beauty you'll love her."
Raleigh nodded again and looked back at me, "This is Caroline Oakley. Caroline this is Herc Hansen."
Herc extended his arm, "Pleasure to meet you. I'm guessing your Raleigh girlfriend."
I coughed and shook his hand, "Nice to meet you too, erm... we're just travelling together..." I said uncertainly.
Herc nodded, "I see." He looked back at Raleigh, "Well, we better keep in touch. You better be coming to the welcome back party tonight Raleigh. I'll be there."
Raleigh nodded and watched Herc walk away.
We met up with Mako again and Raleigh suddenly asked, "Why is he here. Exactly."
"He took Stacker's place. Now he's in charge of everything." Mako simply said.
I tend to keep out of these awkward situation so I coughed and asked about the party.
Mako then started to chat about how the dinner is planned out, which DJ, which band... everything. It all seemed too fancy for me... thanks and no thanks Robert.
Mako suddenly stopped and pointed at a certain Jaeger, "Raleigh. There she is."
I looked at Raleigh. He glanced at me then looked up, his eyes softened immediately. He slowly walked towards the Jaeger. I followed him. Workers were still fixing the new Jaeger. All of them were scattered around the big Jaeger, all of them concentrating on perfecting the Jaeger.
"Wow..." Raleigh breathed in, "Gipsy Danger 2.0..."
Mako followed him, "She's exactly the same from the outside, but better in the inside."
"She's beautiful..." Raleigh whispered.
She was beautiful. That big heart of hers always reminded me of the sun. Her heart, was the most significant piece of her. I always loved how she would shine when she still fought Kaijus, how she was sent under the ocean and how she was crashing down from the sky. She was definitely beautiful.
Soon enough, Raleigh and Mako were in the Jaeger's head. Starting a test run. I was sent to the control room where I would have a good view of Mako and Raleigh and of course Gipsy Danger 2.0. Herc then appeared and started to something in the microphone.
"Testing will beginning in 3, 2, 1." Herc announced.
Raleigh and Mako were then controlling the Jaeger swiftly. A man called Newt walked in and watched too. He introduced himself and he started to talk about Kaijus. It seemed to me that he was obsessed with them.
"Your boyfriend is a perfect pilot." Newt suddenly commented.
I blushed and looked down at the floor, "He's not my boyfriend..." I muttered.
Newt seemed to have misheard me because he didn't answer back.
An hour had passed and Raleigh and Mako still haven't gotten out of the Jaeger. I sat bored out of mind. Herc stayed silent while he watched any chances of Raleigh and Mako getting injured.
A few minutes later, Herc nodded his head and looked at me, "Alright, I think they're getting the hang of the new Jaeger. I'll just te-"
A big and alarming beep came from one of the computers. Herc ran over it and gasped, "Damn it." He looked around the room.
"What's going on?" I said while I stood up.
"Raleigh..." Herc only said.
My eyes widened, "What? What Raleigh?"
Herc ignored me and stared at the computer. The beeping wouldn't stop. "SOME ONE GET RALEIGH AND MAKO OUT OF THERE!" He shouted out loud.
"Gipsy Danger 2.0 firing up." The computer said.
I grabbed Herc, "What the hell is going on?!"
Herc shrugged me off and looked down at the workers.
"We can't sir. They're already... he's already..." The worker said.
Tears of panic and horror were stingy my eyes, "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!" I shouted at him.
Herc starred at me for a few seconds then looked around. "Newt! Turn of the main power line. NOW!" He shouted.
"83% powered up..." The computer said.
Newt ran over and tried to pull out the big plug. "Caroline. Help." Herc ordered me. I hurried over to Newt and helped him. The only few words I heard coming out of Herc's voice were, "Please, Raleigh..." Then his voice disappeared in the darkness when the Jaeger's heart started to light up.
"95% powered up..." The computer said.
"We don't have time! Hurry!" Newt said. Newt and I restlessly tried to pull out the big plu-
Then everything went dark.
I looked around in the darkness. No one. I ran out of the control room. No one in the hallways. I ran near the Jaeger. I spotted no one. No one at all. Why did everyone disappear? What happened?
"RALEIGH!" I screamed in the dark.
Nothing. Nothing at all.
Hey guys :) How was it? I'm sorry, it's pretty short but I wanted you guys to read some stuff. I left you with a cliff hanger.. sorry :P Don't worry, I'll update in a week. Already starting the next chapter ^^ Please, if you don't like it you shouldn't bother reading this work. I already had a few bad comments and messages from some people. I deleted them so you guys won't see them, but I remember them. I stopped because of that, I'm sorry for all of those who were waiting for this chapter :'( I just felt so miserable. Please accept this as an apology or a good read. I would love some feedback, I won't get too emotional if the feedback will be bad or good. I just want to improve my writing.
