A new chapter already?! But are you guys really surprised? Haha. Let's get this party started!

"Ash calm down! Before you do something stupid!" Dawn yelled towards her partner.

Ash had came back to the room extremely angry and Dawn still didn't understand why. She could tell it was taking everything to keep him from attacking. Dawn knew that something horrible must have happened in order for Ash to act like this.

"Dawn! They arrested Gary! I'm positive it has to do with Pride's report! They know he's related to me!" Ash shouted his anger increasing.

Dawn bit her lip, this wasn't good at all. No wonder Ash was so mad. "Do you know what they plan to do with him?" Dawn questioned in a serious tone.

"They plan to publicly execute him...in one week." Ash muttered as he punched the wall of their room. "We can't just sit here and do nothing." Ash stated.

"Obviously." Dawn agreed. "There is no way we'd just let your brother get executed but we have to be smart about this."

Ash gritted his teeth, he knew Dawn was right. Drew was probably doing this as a ploy in order to lure him out. If he acted out of anger right now not only would Gary die, but his death would probably be in vain.

"Ash, please calm down...You know that I'm here to help you. I'll be right by your side to help you save your brother.." Dawn told Ash as she looked into his eyes happy that he was finally showing a bit of restraint.

Dawn couldn't help, but be surprised when Ash's head fell to her shoulders. She was going to speak, but she paused as she felt her shoulder get wet. Dawn looked up, holding back a few tears of her own. She hated seeing Ash like this. Why did The Empire have to be so cruel.

"It's all my fault...That Gary is going through so much...He hasn't done anything yet I keep getting him into trouble." Ash wept on his partners shoulders all of his anger turning to sadness. "I joined the revolutionary army without thinking twice...But now I really wish I had considered how it would effect Gary's life.." Ash continued as his partner held him.

~Flashback~

"Why do you sound like you don't care about this! Don't you want to get revenge for them killing dad!" Ash yelled quickly losing his temper

Gary suddenly got out of his seat and grabbed Ash's collier. "NO I don't and neither should you! We're both going to respect dad's final wishes by not doing anything against The Empire! I heard what you did today too, do you ever think?! You gave them more then enough reason to kill you! Your lucky to be alive right now." Gary yelled as he slammed Ash against the wall.

"Well he didn't want us to sit and do nothing! You might be able to live that way, but I can't. I WILL join the revolution and I Promise I will kill the Royal Family!

"Ash! Stop being a child! All you will be doing is getting yourself killed!" Gary argued.

"If I do then at least I won't die being a coward like you!" Ash countered

"I'm not being a coward Ash! When Dad went off he made us promise that we would never try and fight the Empire! He died for us and the least we could do is honor his last wish!" Gary stated with his eyes being covered by his light brown hair.

Ash was silent for a couple seconds before he removed Gary's hand from his collier.

~Flashback End~

"I called him a coward when I left, but in reality he has gone through so much more than me because of my actions. I..." Ash got caught up in his words as his thoughts flooded back. Sure he had apologized for saying such things, but an apology doesn't change the fact that they were said.

Ash's memory then went to when he and Dawn returned to Pallet.

~Flashback~

"Whats going on." Ash questioned a random civilian as he and Dawn got to the square.

"Just that untouchable stealing again..Shame he had to get caught." The man answered as he turned back to his shopping.

Ash squinted his eyes to try and see who the untouchable was only for his eyes to widen immediately which Dawn noticed.

"Ash? Whats wrong?" Dawn questioned.

"That's my brother." Ash said.

~Flashback End~

"Even though he has gone through so much.. He didn't even hold resentment towards me when we met back up...he laughed and brushed it off...What kind of brother am I to put him through so much...Just so I could get my revenge." Ash spoke. Dawn noticed that his tears had stopped, but he was now hugging her, squeezing her tightly. Dawn didn't mind though; She would be here for Ash.

"Ash.. Your brother loves you and he agrees with everything that you're doing for Kanto..You can't blame yourself for this.." Dawn spoke since Ash was no longer speaking. She felt the boy's hold on her get a little tighter.

Dawn took a deep breath before continuing her statement "I will say however that crying and blaming yourself isn't going to save Gary.. He is the one who should be crying Ash..Right now you should be helping me come up with a plan to help. Don't speak as if destiny has predetermined that he will die." Dawn finished with conviction knowing that now wasn't the time to have regrets about joining the revolution.

Dawn felt Ash's grip on her slacken as he stood straight up drying his tears. "Your right Dawn..We have to save Gary.." Ash stated the confidence back in his voice.

His partner smiled. "Right and best believe i'll be right by your side every step of the way." Dawn declared knowing she was willing to give up her life for Ash as she knew he would do the same for her.

"Thank you.." Ash said in a soft tone before his face turned serious. "Were is Kenny, I have to speak to him" Ash suddenly said as he bolted out of the room leaving Dawn alone.

~xxxxxxxxxxxxx~

It didn't take long for Ash to find Kenny and Barry's room considering all of the guard candidates housed pretty close together.

"Kenny!" Ash yelled as he opened their door startling both boys who were laying on their respective beds.

"What's up Satoshi?" Kenny questioned remembering to use Ash's fake name although he was a bit confused as to why he was so loud.

"I need you to do something for me!" Ash stated seriously hoping that Kenny would listen.

This got both Barry and Kenny's attention as they waited for Ash to explain.

"I need you to go back to base and tell Lance to come here." Ash said in a serious tone showing that he was not kidding.

Kenny's eyes widened as the statement came out of Ash's mouth. "Are you stupid? There is no way that Lance would come here that would be signing his death certificate." Kenny explained in a surprised tone.

"Well if he doesn't come that's fine, but I need you to deliver a message for me. Tell him I plan to break somebody out of prison soon and I plan to do it with or without his help. " Ash explained his voice showing he wasn't joking.

"Hold on now Satoshi!" Barry yelled. "Do you know how many guards are stationed around the prison? It's impossible to do that!" Barry exclaimed hoping that he could change Ash's mind.

Ash nodded. "I plan to help the revolutionary army and I would give my life for their cause, but my family is more important than anybody. I'd rather die trying than just sit by and watch my brother die." Ash stated in a firm tone.

"What are you talking about? Wait is that guy who was arrested earlier your brother?!" Barry questioned a bit surprised.

"Yes. Me and Dawn plan to save him. He is to be executed in seven days. Kenny I need you to tell Lance of my plans. It takes three days to get to base from here and 3 to get back hopefully with Lance and other people willing to help. " Ash began. "Please can you do this for me Kenny?"

Kenny gave a long sigh. Before looking directly into Ash's eyes. "it's not like I could say no to the chosen one.." He muttered as he stretched his muscles.

"What if people notice Kenny's missing? They will be sure to question me?" Barry questioned.

"Just say I went out...Besides after this I'm sure they will know our real identities anyways so it doesn't really matter" Kenny replied nonchalantly.

Ash gave a small smile happy that the two were willing to help him even though they didn't know him that well.

"Thanks..I really appreciate this." Ash muttered with a small smile.

"Don't thank us yet. We haven't done anything. Besides were helping you simply because if you die doing something stupid than we'll be forced to watch The Empire gain even more strength." Barry spoke as he stood up.

"This will be dangerous, so I'll ask one time before I leave. Are you sure you want to go through with this Ash?" Kenny questioned in a serious tone showing this was no joking matter what they were planning.

"Yes.." Ash replied without any hesitation.

"Then I'll see you in six days.." Kenny stated as he went to gather his materials for the trip.

~Jail room~

"Why are you here.." Gary muttered as he stared out of the bars of his cell his arms chained above his head. He had only been here for about 45 minutes before his visitor showed up.

The brown haired girl stared at the boy. He was skinny. Clearly he wasn't eating well. His body was beat up indicating the guards were extremely rough with him.

"Are you alright?" She finally questioned after taking in his appearance.

Gary grunted why was the princess acting like she cared after all she was part of the family that arrested him to begin with. "I'm chained up against the wall against my will without any explanation, how do you think I am." Gary replied his voice dripping with sarcasm.

May didn't bother feeling offended, she knew the boy had every reason to be angry. "I don't agree with why you're here." May stated slowly looking towards the ground. This caught Gary's attention.

"Why am I here?" Gary decided to question, he knew that his brother was involved somehow, but he didn't know all of the details.

May bit her lip in contemplation as she thought about what her words should be. "My brother is using you to force your brother to reveal himself." The girl finally admitted as she clenched her fist. She wanted no part of this now that she saw the boy. At first she thought she could simply ignore it, but this was horrible...Was her family really this evil.

"Why are you crying."

May's head snapped up as she looked at the cold glare Gary was giving her. "Your apart of the royal family correct, why are you shedding tears over me?" Gary asked again this time making his question more specific.

She hadn't even noticed she was crying. Her hands quickly went up to her face to dry her tears.

Gary quickly came to the conclusion that the prince had no idea that Ash was in Pallet since he was forced to resort to this to lead him out.

"If your worried about me don't be. My brother will save me." Gary stated as if it was written in stone. Having full faith that his brother wouldn't allow him to die.

May quickly grabbed the bars. "No! That's exactly what Drew wants! If your brother comes here he will die! There is no way he can beat Drew without years of training!" May yelled surprising Gary with her show of emotion.

"If your so worried about me, why didn't you stop your brother from arresting me in the first place?!" Gary yelled back losing his temper with the girl not caring about her status.

"If I could don't you think I would have!" May cried as she allowed her body to fall to the floor. Her heart couldn't take this. Why couldn't she have been born in a more peaceful time.

Gary stared at the girl. He would have never expected Hoenn's princess to act like this, but then again you didn't really hear much about her at all.

"Leave." Gary finally said bluntly causing May to look up at him with her eyes wide.

He knew that he had no right to command her to get out considering he was technically her prisoner, but he had a feeling she would respect his wishes.

May nodded understanding that the boy wanted to be alone and turned around to leave. She stopped before she reached the exit and spoke one last time.

"I wish I could help." She muttered.

There was a slight pause as she waited for the boy to respond...

"I wish you had the guts to." Gary replied his words striking May's heart.

May knew he was right. She could help, she just didn't have the will to do it..She opened the door and left the room without saying another word.

"Princess May." Ash spoke as she walked out of the jail room.

May's head snapped up as she quickly tried to hide the fact that she had been crying. "Oh Satoshi. I didn't call for you. Is there something I can help you with?" She questioned forcing a smile.

Ash was obviously surprised that she was leaving the room where Gary was being kept, but what surprised him more was that she was clearly crying.

"Is there something wrong May?" Ash questioned curious as to what had happened.

"I'm fine.." May lied. "But anyways why are you here?" May asked.

"Oh I was hoping I could see the prisoner.. " Ash replied hoping that she wouldn't question why.

May just nodded her head. It wasn't uncommon for guards to talk to the prisoners so she didn't think much of it. "Sure.." May replied as she walked by Ash her thoughts clearly elsewhere.

Ash didn't have time to dwell on it though as he opened the door and quickly closed it hoping that nobody else saw him enter.

"Gary!" Ash screamed as he ran towards his brother.

The prisoner's head snapped up as he gave his brother a smile. "Ash! I knew you'd come!" Gary stated in an excited tone. He came much faster then he had expected.

"Of course!"

"Listen Ash, they are using me to lure you here!" Gary explained as Ash sat down in front of the bars.

Ash of course already had a feeling that this was the reason, but how did Gary know.

"How did you know that?" Ash questioned.

"The princess told me..." Gary muttered unsure on how he was feeling about their encounter.

"May did...Did she say anything else?" Ash asked curious as to what made May come talk to Gary.

Gary looked at his brother. "Yeah..she talked about how much she wished she could help..." Ash's eyes widened.

"Did she sound like she would be willing to help?" Ash questioned seriously his hopes raising about the possibility that May could be turned.

Gary shook his head. "No, she seems conflicted, but I doubt she'll do anything to betray her family. It seems like she really cares though." He replied truthfully.

The chosen one simply nodded. "Yeah..May is different from the rest of the royal family. Probably the only one with a heart.." Ash replied

"You sound like you know her." Gary stated as he looked at his brother taking in his appearance. "Why are you dressed like a noble Ash?" Gary questioned as well.

"It's not important, for now I have to tell you I plan to break you out on the day of your execution." Ash stated ignoring Gary's questions.

"Why not just do it now?" Gary asked.

Ash chuckled at his brother's impatience, he seemed to be taking this situation a little to lightly. "There is no way I can make it out of here I don't know if you noticed, but the amount of guards around this place is pretty intimidating." Ash joked a little although he was very serious.

Outside there were at least forty guards around the area and ten on the roof, If Ash were to walk out with Gary right now he would die as soon as he walked in the open.

"We have to wait for some of my reinforcements to get here..." Ash said although he wasn't sure if anybody would actually come. If they didn't he would just have to handle the situation with Dawn.

Gary looked at his brother before chuckling. "Wow Ash you really have matured...Who would have thought this day would come when I have to wait to be saved by you." Gary spoke as he starting reminiscing.

~Flashback~

A five year old Ash sat on the ground crying.

"Stop crying kid! All I did was push your scrawny ass." A man spoke. The man was very large about 6'2 although he was pretty skinny.

"Give me back my money! Dad trusted me to go out to get some bread!" Ash cried as he stood up to confront the much larger man.

The man laughed as the weak boy delivered a few small punches to his leg. "Get off me kid." The man commanded as he kicked his foot forward, his hard boot hitting Ash in his mouth causing blood gush out.

Ash grabbed his mouth in pain as he felt the blood start to come out. The man wasn't going to let Ash dwell on it though. "Here kid I'm just going to go ahead and end your misery." The man stated in a dark tone.

The small child looked at the knife the man now held his fear growing. "Please..don't hurt me. You can keep the money." Ash begged as the man stooped to his level and put the knife on the boy's cheek.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't gut you right now." The man taunted. He had no intentions of letting the boy go, but watching your prey squirm was always enjoyable.

"Is this good enough!" A voice suddenly spoke as he delivered a powerful kick to the tall man's jaw.

"Let's go Ash! The voice shouted as he grabbed the boy's hand and ran away not looking to see how much damage the kick had done to the man.

The two boys ran for a good mile before stopping when they realized nobody was chasing.

"How was that? Did your big brother impress you?" Gary bragged as he pointed to his chest.

Ash couldn't help, but laugh at his brother's antics. "Psh, I would have gotten out of the situation myself if I was given more time." Ash pouted turning his face away from Gary's.

His brother couldn't stop the smile that appeared on his face as his eyes narrowed. "Oh really, because I could have sworn you looked like you were about to shit your pants back there." Gary teased laughing as he saw the blush appear on his kid brother's face. Ash feeling embarrassed about the teasing quickly decided to pay his brother back, and aimed a punch towards him

Gary quickly dodged Ash's attack as he began to run home. "Come on you'll have to do better then that!" Gary teased once more as he ran unable to contain his laughter.

Ash was fuming as he followed.

~Flashback End~

"Well it was obvious that I'd be the strongest out of us, so I foresaw a situation like this coming." Ash bragged in a joking tone causing his brother to laugh. It was really amazing how easygoing they were being considering the situation.

Ash's face suddenly got extremely serious. "I'm so sorry that I got you involved in all of this." Ash started only for Gary to interrupt him.

"Don't be Ash. Are you the one who came to our home and arrested me? If not then you are not the person responsible for this." Gary reasoned, of course he had already expected that Ash was blaming himself for this.

"But.."

"No, buts Ash. Just don't let me die. I will haunt your ass." Gary joked, even though he flinched a little at the pain in moving around to often with his arms chained above him.

Ash simply nodded..Dropping the topic. "Well Gary, I have to go..It'll be to suspicious if I'm in here for to long. Please be patient. I promise that i'll save you." He told his brother as he stood up and walked towards the door. "I love you Gary." Ash spoke as he left not waiting for Gary's reply.

"I love you too Ash.." Gary whispered even though he knew his brother could no longer hear him.

~Guard's Chambers~

"So you've been gone for a good minute..What all did you do?" Dawn questioned as her partner walked back in the room.

Ash gave her a confident smile as he went over everything he told Kenny and Barry. He also mentioned his short visit with Gary along with what his brother had told him about May.

Dawn took a few seconds to absorb all of the information. "Hey Ash.." Dawn suddenly said as a thought came to her mind.

"Yeah?"

"I don't think you should rely on Lance..." Dawn stated in a low tone..This was sounding very similar to when he had to make a decision to help Sinnoh. He acts in the best interest of his goals.

"Why not?" Ash questioned a bit confused, he had been pretty confident that Lance probably wouldn't want him to die.

"Just think about it, do you remember when I said that Lance made the choice to not help Sinnoh. He did that because if he had helped Kanto would have been weaker...This situation will end up doing doing that as well. If he helps us then people in the Revolutionary army will be killed thus weakening their force. I'm sure that Lance will weigh his options on if your cooperation is worth it." Dawn explained not sure if Ash would understand.

Ash absorbed everything that Dawn had just said for a few seconds before responding. "Your right.. I didn't think about that..." Ash muttered. Lance was completely unpredictable. Tt was impossible to know what he would do and Ash didn't want the fate of his brother to rest on the decision of one man.

"We're going to have to come up with a backup plan..." Dawn stated looking at her partner.

Pausing for a few seconds, Ash sighed. "I have one, although it's risky.." Ash muttered as he looked up at Dawn.

Dawn raised her eyebrow signaling for Ash to continue.

"I'll be forced to reveal my identity to May...If she helps, we can probably get out of this without fighting.. She clearly is conflicted from what my brother told me so it's possible, but if it doesn't work I don't know what the consequences might be.." Ash revealed his plan he really preferred option A.

Nodding her head, Dawn also agreed that option B was risky. "Well all we can do now is prepare and hope that Lance makes the right decision. After all your helping him, he should want to do the same if he is a man of honor." Dawn replied even though she wasn't even sure about Lance's character.

"All we can do now is wait..." Ash muttered as he laid on his bed weighing his options.

"Drew, please reconsider this!" May begged her brother as they walked through the hallways.

The green haired prince was getting very annoyed. His sister never used to be damn persistent. There were plenty of times where she didn't agree with his choices, but went along with them anyways.

"Why do you care about this so much?!" Drew finally asked tired of his sister's constant whining.

May surprised by her brother's sudden outburst had to take a second to compose herself. "I just don't want to see somebody who is completely innocent get killed! It's not right! If the chosen one shows up and you kill him what do you plan to do with his brother?" May questioned even though she already knew the answer.

"I'm going to kill him obviously. I don't want a single drop of that blood to be able to interfere with my plans." Drew stated bluntly as he turned and stared at his sister daring her to oppose him.

Of course May did no such thing as she looked at the ground. Drew scoffed before turning back around continuing his walk.

May felt so pathetic as she walked back to her room. Since when did her will become so weak...She was letting everybody in her family step on her. She was the princess yet she felt like she was a slave to her family's wishes. Why couldn't she stand up for herself. It wasn't like she was weak.

The prisoner's previous words suddenly entered her brain.

"I wish you had the guts to."

He had only spoken to her for a few minutes, and even he could tell that she lacked the guts to stick up for her beliefs.

May gave a sad sigh as she walked to her room. She needed to rest..It didn't take long for May to reach her room. She opened the door and laid down on her bed. She didn't even need to get comfortable as her body quickly fell asleep. Emotionally the girl was wreaked.

Haruka...

May's eyes snapped open. Where was she... It was dark. Extremely Dark.

Haruka...

May's eyes searched for the origin of the voice, but could find nobody. Suddenly the darkness started to change into a castle. May looked around and could see two people training alone in the Castle's garden it seemed like they were alone.

"Haruka, don't you think training together is a bit inappropriate." A man in a blue hat stated as he looked at a brown haired girl with uncertainty.

"Don't tell me your scared Sir Aaron?" The girl teased.

May's eyes widened as she saw the girl. It was her..Well at least it looked like her the man also looked pretty familiar...

"Haruka, please don't hate me for wiping the floor with you." The man joked as he got into battle position.

"Please Aaron, like I could ever hate you." Haruka stated in a sweet tone as the two began sparring.

May looked at the scene getting a feeling of nostalgia. Where had she seen this before...

"Haruka you flames still amaze me. Who would have thought that such a beautiful girl could have so much destructive power." May heard the man state as she returned her attention back to their sparing match. Having dodged her flamethrower and watched it burn a few plants.

"You know trying to be smooth with me won't help you." Haruka chuckled as she continued to attack the man even though he seemed to be having little difficulties blocking her attacks.

It didn't take long for Sir Aaron to disarm her. He gave her small laugh as he watched a frown appear on her face knowing she was about to pout.

"Why can't you just let me win." Haruka pouted just like Sir Aaron had predicted.

"Well you can't expect to get stronger, if I simply allow you to win." The man explained as he walked towards the girl.

Haruka however didn't stop pouting. "I've made you my private guard Aaron and all you do is bully me. I'm beginning to think I picked the wrong person." She teased although she was smiling to show she wasn't serious.

May's eyes widened..That's why the scene seemed so familiar. She had a similar one with Satoshi...Now that she paid attention to it the man Sir Aaron looked a lot like Satoshi minus the blonde hair.

Was this some type of dream...And if It was what did it signify? Her attention quickly turned back to the two people as she heard their voices.

"Stop Haruka..You know...I have Hikari.." Sir Aaron muttered.

May blushed as she now saw the position the two were now in. They were laying in the grass with Haruka on top of the man. Even more surprising than their sudden position was the name he had just said.

"Isn't that Satoshi's sisters name..." May muttered confused as to why both Hikari and Satoshi were involved in her dreams.

"Why just her Aaron...What does she have that I do not..." Haruka muttered her body stuck to the man as she gazed down at his eyes.

"It has nothing to do with you...It wouldn't be fair for me to betray Hikari's trust though." Sir Aaron tried to explain. He had already developed a strong bond with both Hikari and Haruka, even though he knew his feelings for both were extremely strong the fact still remained that Hikari was here first and he couldn't betray her.

"Just once..." Haruka muttered as she placed her lips on Sir Aaron's causing the man's eyes to widen.

The man quickly contradicted his previous thoughts as he leaned into the kiss. it quickly became more then a soft gentle peck to something much more passionate. It wasn't long before Sir Aaron had switched places with Haruka. She was now under him.

May's face was beat red. Why was she having a dirty dream! Was the only thought going through her head...

Her face got even redder as she saw Sir Aaron begin to undress the girl beneath him. May wanted to scream; She was worried about her family's cruelty and now she was sitting here dreaming about a man who looked remarkably similar to Satoshi and a girl who looked exactly like her about to make love.

May closed her eyes not wanting to watch the scene knowing that if the two could see her they wouldn't appreciate her staring.

Of course that didn't stop the sounds they were making from piercing her ears. Her face turned even redder if that was even possible as she heard Haruka moan Sir Aaron's name.

"Oh god I wish this dream would end".. May caught herself thinking.

May's eyes opened back up when she stopped hearing the moans and was surprised that it was darkness again.

Breathing a sign of relief that she didn't have to be in that awkward situation any longer. May looked around only for the world to begin to change again.

This time however the scene was not as peaceful. It was a battlefield...

"Aura sphere!" May heard as she turned her head seeing the same man she had previously seen with her lookalike.

May watched completely enthralled. The man was so graceful. He dodged every attack that came near him on the battlefield and it looked as if he wasn't even trying. May's eyes widened as a tall man approached Sir Aaron. This guy didn't look like a pushover.

"Aaron, it seems the rumors about you were true. To think you could take so many of my men out by yourself." The large man stated anger in his tone.

"I do not wish to fight. Please return to your home. You do not have to die here." Aaron replied his voice showing his determination.

May couldn't help, but blush..Somebody so strong yet he wanted peace...Just like her.

"You make it sound like you could kill me at any moment. You've grown cocky!" The man stated as he slammed his arm into the ground. "Earthquake!" The man shouted causing large pieces of the ground to come out of place.

Aaron didn't falter however as he allowed himself to rise along with the ground. The earthquake almost seemed to be forming mountains. Plenty of the pokemon and humans around them were seen ducking for cover.

"Dragon pulse!" Sir Aaron shouted as a power beam shot out of his sword. He aimed it towards the mountain his opponent was standing on.

The man grunted as his foothold was destroyed. He landed hard on the ground, nonetheless on his feet though. His impact created a small crater. "Why are you here Aaron!" The man shouted his previous confidence starting to fade after watching the man easily avoid any injuries from his strongest attack.

His eyes widened as Sir Aaron was suddenly behind him. He couldn't track his movements at all. He could feel the blade pressed against his throat from behind.

"I'm here to stop this fight. Princess Haruka does not wish for it to continue." The man in the blue hat stated bluntly.

"Why do you care about what the princess wants?! You have betrayed our empire. Showing your allegiance to Princess Hikari of Sinnoh." The man yelled. He had been sent to attack a small village by the orders of Prince Shu, it was supposed to be an easy mission, but this was much more then he had bargained for.

May's eyes widened so Hikari was the princess of Sinnoh... This was all getting confusing.

"My loyalty lies in no country." Aaron replied as he slowly walked to look his opponent in the eyes. His own showing nothing, but compassion. "Now I will ask please leave. Unless you wish for more of your soldiers to get hurt."

The man bit his lip before whistling. "Retreat! We cannot win here!" He shouted towards all of his men. As much as he hated to admit it Sir Aaron was powerful even alone he could stop a small army.

Sir Aaron gave a small smile. "Worry not I did not kill anybody." He offered as he removed his sword away from the man.

The man said nothing as he began to retreat along with his comrades.

"Your welcome Haruka." Sir Aaron whispered as he looked towards the village knowing that Haruka had been watching from the safety of the houses. Luckily the battle hadn't effected the town.

The world once again started to shift now she was in a small hut in the middle of a forest.

"Please Sir Aaron you have to stop Shu. He plans to attack a small village just because he heard a rumor that an uprising was being planned." Haruka cried to her lover.

May watched the scene. She was smart enough to be able to tell that a decent amount of time had passed since the 'sparring session' as Haruka looked a little older.

"I know..Haruka.. I will stop them. You know you can count on me." Sir Aaron replied with a smile.

"Yes..I know your the only person in this world who I can rely on." Haruka stated as she leaned in a gave the man a quick kiss. "I must go however. Now that you've 'betrayed' us I cannot be seen with you.. I'm sorry.." Haruka explained as she pulled a hood over her head.

Sir Aaron nodded in understanding. "I will handle it. No need to worry I look forward to our next meeting Haruka." He stated softly causing her to smile as she quickly ran out of the house.

May sighed she was starting to believe that this wasn't a dream at all, it all seemed to real. It almost seemed like she was looking at memories..But whose?

Her eyes quickly snapped open.

May looked around at her surroundings clearly confused. She was back in her room..But all the things that she had seen were still vividly replaying in her mind.

"What was that..." May muttered as she stood up. She wasn't sure how much time had passed, but she had to get her mind off of everything. Sleeping was probably a bad idea because now she had even more to worry about.

First there was her family and their lack of compassion, second was who was this Sir Aaron guy and what connection did he have with Satoshi and why did Haruka remind her so much of herself. There was also the mystery of Hikari...

May sighed wasn't sleeping suppose to help ease stress..

Suddenly an idea struck in May's brain..Maybe there was some information about Sir Aaron in the royal library after all he seemed pretty strong there was no way they had no information on a guy like that.

At least with this she could keep her mind preoccupied from the thought that an innocent boy was going to be executed by her brother in one week.

3 Days later at the Revolutionary Base

"Kenny, I'm holding my anger in, but why are you here..Did you fail your mission?" Lance questioned holding back the urge to yell at the young boy.

"Uh no sir, but something has come up." Kenny muttered it was always a scary experience talking to Lance especially when he was mad.

Lance just looked at the boy. "And what could have come up to make you abandon your mission?" He asked in a harsh tone causing Kenny to flinch.

"Well the chosen one.." Kenny started only to stop as Lance slammed his hand on his desk breaking it.

"What do you know about the chosen one!?" Lance yelled completely losing his cool. This was what he was afraid of. Ash's identity was to important for everybody to know.

Kenny took a deep breath in order to conjure up the confidence to keep talking. "Ash asked me to ask for your help, his brother has been captured by the Prince and he has every intention of saving him. With or without you." Kenny stated trying to be quick before Lance could interrupt him again.

Lance gritted his teeth, this was bad. Ash was pretty much requesting for him to attack The Empire. That was out of the question there was absolutely no chance for victory.

"Let's go Kenny. We are heading back to Pallet." Lance stated as he stood up from his broken desk.

Kenny blinked a few times was Lance actually about to help that was easy. "Shouldn't we get a few more people I mean this isn't going to be an easy fight."

"We're not fighting. I'm going to stop Ash. If he attacks The Empire then he will die and everything will seem as hopeless as it did before. We can't allow him to do it." Lance stated as he motioned for Kenny to follow him. They had to make quick time.

Kenny sighed. "Now what are you going to do chosen one.." He muttered as he followed his leader.

May was certain of it now. She had barely communicated with anyone in the last three days focusing all of her time on doing research on Sir Aaron.

He was the chosen one.

She was sure of it. No matter what she came across it always seemed to match the legend. One thing wasn't sticking with her though. If Sir Aaron was the chosen one why was she seeing his memories. She was fairly certain that her dream a few nights ago were the memories of Aaron. Was it some type of sign?

May had all, but forgotten the fact that in all three scenes Haruka was present as well. Not making the connection May sighed maybe she was experiencing this because the chosen one was coming here was the best explanation she could think of.

During the entire process of doing research her mind was kept completely off of the impending date of the prisoner's execution. It wasn't that she stopped caring it was just that she felt like solving the mystery of her dreams would help her. She couldn't explain the feeling, but it was there.

"By now Kenny should have told Lance what you plan to do..Do you think he will make a move?" Dawn questioned her teammate during the last three days they had done simple guard stuff to keep up appearances, but had done a lot of training which wasn't against the rules at night in order to prepare.

Dawn was surprised during her and Ash's sparring matches that he had increased the amount of times he could move at the speed of light to ten. He told her that May had given him some tips on how to increase it and it worked. The more training he did the more he could probably increase it.

"I don't know, but I haven't heard from May in a few days, so I think we have to pray that Lance comes through." Ash spoke as he continued doing aura push ups in the middle of their room using one finger to hold himself up. It was a lot easier to do this this way then the way Steven had showed them back in the forest considering he didn't have to worry about falling on the sharp tree trunk.

"If he doesn't have you thought about how you'll approach May for help?" Dawn inquired curious on how Ash would be able to pull it off if it came down to that.

Ash calmed his aura and caught himself from falling as he stood up. "Well...I don't know I just figured I'd wing it..The worse thing that could happen is she say no and report me to her brother and then he kills me doesn't sound much different from the first choice if Lance doesn't help" Ash laughed although he felt a bit nervous at the possibility of having to reveal himself to May.

Dawn just nodded. She knew Ash had a certain charm about him so she felt a little optimistic about May joining them although she also couldn't stop herself from thinking if they are forced to recruit May that means that Lance decided he wouldn't help. If Lance decides this and they actually manage to rescue Gary would Ash still want to work with the revolutionary army?

It was a question that she didn't want to know the answer to for now. Ash had enough to deal with as it was.

Entrance of Pallet

"Kenny I want you to go get Ash and Dawn and tell them to meet me here." Lance stated as he pointed to a small shed right outside of the town.

Kenny nodded and quickly ran to the castle.

~xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx~

"Hey Satoshi.." Kenny greeted as he made it to the castle it was pure luck that he and Dawn happened to be outside.

Ash glanced up and grinned Kenny had returned in six days just like he had hoped.

"I wouldn't grin if I was you.. Lance came, but he has no intention of helping you.." Kenny blurted out causing both Ash's and Dawn's heart to stop. This is what they were scared might happen.

"Why did he come then?" Ash questioned seriously the smile no longer on his face.

"I'm pretty sure he plans to stop you...He'll probably talk to you at first, but I wouldn't be surprised if he resorts to violence to keep you from doing anything..."Kenny stated, but he was just stating his hypothesis he really didn't know what Lance planned to do.

"Obviously we're not going to meet him then." Dawn said bluntly. "If there is even the slightest possibility that Lance plans to fight us in order for us not to rescue Gary then we can't risk it. There is no way we can beat Lance." Dawn stated looking at Ash.

Ash gave a short nod. "I agree with you Dawn, but I still want to talk to him." Ash stated as he stood up motioning for Kenny to lead him to Lance.

Dawn sighed and also began to follow a bit nervous to how this encounter was going to end.

The walk towards the entrance of the town seemed to fly by for Ash. He wasn't nervous. He was angry. Once again Lance had betrayed his expectations of him. He was sure that this meeting was going to stir up some tempers. He had to make sure he was ready if it got to dangerous to grab Dawn and flee back to the castle.

"Ash." The voice caused Ash to snap out of his thoughts as he glared at the red haired man.

"Lance. Let me say before you even start that I will save my brother regardless of what you say right now." Ash stated bluntly making sure the general knew his stance on the matter.

"Ash..I am your commanding officer as a member of the revolutionary army I order you to let it be!" Lance replied his eyes showing no signs of fear as he looked at the boy.

"So I'm supposed to let my brother die?" Ash questioned clenching his teeth only calming himself as he felt Dawn place a hand on his shoulder.

"Yes. If that is how it's suppose to be." Lance replied his tone still unwavering.

Ash didn't get a chance to reply before Dawn spoke up for him.

"You're as heartless as The Empire..." Dawn stated bluntly her anger rising as well.

Lance starred at the girl. "I don't mean to come off that way. I'm just thinking about.." Lance started only to get cut off by Ash.

"Only thinking about Kanto, right I heard you the first time when you used that excuse for not helping Dawn's family as well!" Ash shouted surprising Lance as he didn't think the boy would compare it to that situation.

"Sacrifices must be made." Lance replied not allowing himself to be stunned for very long.

"How many sacrifices have to be made?! How about you focus on preventing sacrifices instead of just accepting that they have to happen!" Ash screamed his temper flaring. He wouldn't be surprised if someone from the castle could sense his aura.

"Ash, I see there is no reasoning with you. I'll be forced to have to take you back to Hq until you calm down." Lance stated getting into a battle position surprising Ash, Kenny, and Dawn.

Ash thinking quickly grabbed Dawn and disappeared. He had all the answers he needed the revolutionaries didn't care about him. He only had himself and Dawn. They would have to save Gary alone.

"Quick thinking Ash.." Dawn muttered they were pretty closed to the castle in one jump. They knew that Lance wouldn't follow into town considering he was the most wanted man in Kanto since everybody knew he was the leader of the revolutionaries.

"Yeah...I was prepared just in case.." Ash muttered as he and Dawn began to walk back to the castle.

"So what will we do..? Clearly Lance isn't going to help us." Dawn wondered out loud.

Ash hesitated for a few seconds before making his decision. "I'm going to talk to princess May tonight." Ash stated which Dawn could only nod to. It was their only choice.

A Hours Later In The Royal Garden.

May sat down waiting. It was a bit strange for a guard to ask to meet up with her in the middle of the night. Normally she would have declined the request instantly, but of course she couldn't help, but agree since it had been Satoshi.

Her thoughts still lingered on all the new information she had learned, but for now she would have to push them to the back of her head. She smiled as she saw the blonde haired boy approach her.

"Now what is this all about?" May questioned as she sat on a stone bench.

~xxxxxxxx~

~Ash's POV~

My palms were sweaty as I watched May sit on the bench. I don't think I've ever been more nervous in my life.

May must have noticed all of my fidgeting as she motioned for me to sit down next to her.

"Don't tell me Satoshi..I know what this is about." May muttered softly as I sat down next to her. My eyes widened did she already know? My heart was pounding.

"Although if you were planning on confessing I would assume you'd bring your princess flowers." May stated. I felt my face heat up. Of course she wouldn't already.

"No, No, No. May it's nothing like that." I motioned unable to hide the blush on my face.

"Well what is it?" May questioned I could tell she was becoming a bit impatient.

This was the moment of truth.. I had thought about this a few times on how I would reveal myself to her, but now that the moment was here. I was starting to lose confidence.

"Do you remember back when we traveled to Lavender Town?" I questioned which she nodded yes to.

"You recall how you said you hated fighting?" I questioned once again which she nodded once more.

"Where are you going with this Satoshi?" May asked me I could tell she was extremely curious now.

"What if I told you I wanted to stop the fighting to..." I finally stated. This wasn't even the biggest risk, but it was a start.

May paused for a few seconds. I could tell she was unsure of how to respond.

"Before you continue Satoshi I want to ask you something." She suddenly said.

"Sure.."

"Have you ever heard of a man named Sir Aaron?" Her question made me fall out of my seat. Out of all the possibilities that had ran through my head of what she might ask this was not one of them.

May looked at me strangely for a few seconds and then spoke once more. "From your reaction I can tell you have... Well I had a dream about him a few days ago.."

Once again I was left shocked..Even Dawn never mentioned anything about having dreams about the previous chosen one.

"In my dream I saw a man with power...He was powerful I could tell even though he didn't fight much. What struck me the most however was the fact that despite his power he wanted peace.." May explained her eyes shinning as she looked up towards the stars.

"May..." I muttered.

"Within the past few months I've found my self thinking I wish the chosen one would show up..I always ignored these thoughts thinking of them as treason, but they always returned.." May continued to explained her eyes never leaving the sky. "After my dream I did some research and discovered that Sir Aaron was the previous chosen one."

"Do you know why I'm telling you this Satoshi?" May suddenly asked me as she directed her attention towards me.

"No." I replied, this conversation had gone from me talking to her.

"You remind me a lot of the Sir Aaron in my dreams Satoshi." May stated as she smiled towards me. It made my heart pound.. "I know this is random and you probably think it means nothing, but" May started, but I had to cut her off.

"May.." I said in a soft tone as I grabbed her cheek. "Please don't hate me for what I'm about to say."

May only nodded clearly confused.

"My real name is Ash Ketchum...And I'm the next Chosen One after Sir Aaron."

CLIFFHANGER!
