If you don't like my story, then take it up with your lawyer because I don't want to hear about it!
We finally made it back to the shelter, and I told the Houndour, which told me on the way that his name was Blaze, to stay outside. I kept thinking to myself about his strange color, but I didn't want to bring it up. I wanted Shadow to meet him, maybe they could become friends or something.
"Shadow are you here?" I called then heard a bit of shuffling before I saw him come out.
He immediately noticed that there was someone behind me. He almost pushed me out of the way to get between me and Blaze.
"Shadow, wait a minute. This is Blaze, I met him in town." I tried to calm him down a bit.
"Y-You are different colored like me." Blaze's eyes were wide.
Shadow's eyes widened a bit before he tilted his head. I don't think he has ever seen another pokemon that wasn't the color they were supposed to be before.
"Who are you and what do you want with Sol?" Shadow asked him when he finally snapped out of his astonishment.
"Well, Sol here helped me escape from the humans in the town. They were throwing rocks at me." Blaze lifted his paw to show some of the injuries that he had sustained.
I couldn't believe that I didn't notice before hand. They looked swollen slightly. I made my way over to him so I could get a better look. They didn't look too serious, but they still had to be sore to say the least.
"Shadow do you know if there is anything around that we can use to heal some of his injuries?" Shadow's eyes got a little wide.
I didn't understand why though. He almost looked reluctant to tell me.
"Yeah there should be some herbs over there. If you go collect them I will stay here with "Blaze"." Shadow seemed to say his name sarcastically.
What could have gotten into him? I just nodded to him, and slowly made my way into the forest.
~Shadow's point of view~
"Okay now, what exactly are you wanting to do with Sol?" I demanded.
I didn't want to admit it, but I was kind of jealous of the new pokemon that Sol brought here. I don't know why.
"Like I said she helped me escape. She is really nice. Why is your fur a different color? Are we the same?" Blaze seemed confused, but I couldn't blame him I was confused too.
"I don't know, but just don't get to close to Sol. If anything happens to her I will personally dispose of you." My threat came out menacing even to me.
"Look, I don't know what relations you have with her, but I don't plan on doing anything to her. Why would I hurt someone that just saved me from getting more injured than I already am?" He did have a point but I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't just going to sit back and watch him hurt her.
"Sol is a really nice pokemon, I wish they were all like her." I said to no one in particular.
"I can tell she is kind hearted. She didn't judge me because of my fur, and now I can see why. She is special and so are you. That's why you guys are traveling together. You got a good little girlfriend there." Blaze nudged me playfully.
My face flushed to an almost cherry color.
"We aren't dating, we have been in the same nest together for the longest time. Although I do like her, I don't think she likes me like that." I always seemed to tell myself the same thing every time that I wanted to ask her.
"I don't think she just sees you as a brother, I'm pretty sure that she cares about you more than that. She made sure that you were safe, the whole way here she would look over her shoulder to make sure no one was following us. I asked her why, and she said she didn't want to be followed to keep her companion safe." Blaze proceeded to tell me.
My eyes were a bit wide. Did she actually have feelings for me, would she be my mate when we evolve?
"You know… I am sorry for how I have been acting towards you. Maybe we could be friends as well. We will be the odd balls out of the pokemon world." I apologized to him, I could see that he was surprised at my sudden outburst.
~Sol's point of view~
I had just finished gathering the herbs and was making my way back when I heard Shadow apologizing to Blaze. I couldn't contain my happiness, and jumped out of the bushes startling them both. I tackled them both and rolled around. They were surprised, but they quickly joined in. That's when I remember that Blaze was hurt. I quickly got my composure back together and wrapped his paw and any other injured spots that I saw.
"There you will be as good as new in no time!" My smile was just as wide as ever.
"Thank you Sol." Blaze smiled at her.
"Hey Sol can I talk to you for a second?" Shadow wouldn't look at me in the eyes, which lead to me believe that I did something wrong.
"Sure?" I said and followed him over to a spot where it would just be me and him.
"Do you think that we should let Blaze travel with us? He is just like me." Shadow was looking at his feet.
"Shadow I don't mind if he travels with us, the only thing is that we don't know anything about him. Maybe we should see what his past is like before we let him travel with us. I get that it would be awesome to have someone like you travel with us, but I also did enjoy just me and you together." I blushed as I said the last part.
"You mean that you like just the two of us?" Shadows eyes were wide and his white face was flushed a bit with pink.
"Of course I love traveling with you." I said and quickly kissed his forehead again.
He was stunned to say the least. I giggled, same old Shadow, still blushes and stutters whenever I kiss him. I wish he would just realize how much I like him already!
