It was morning in the Dragon Tail Guild Hall, Stoick was drinking a nice mug of coffee, when Adelaide ran down the stairs from the second floor.

"Stoick, an S class quest is missing," she said.

Stoick then spat his coffee out. "What?!" he yelled.

"Wait, one of the jobs for the second floor is missing," said Spitelout.

"Who would hav' done such a thin'?" Gobber asked puzzled.

"Someone really brave or really stupid," said Agatha.

"I know," said Alvin's voice. Everyone looked up and saw Alvin was sitting at table on the second floor. "A little black cat flew up here and snatched the job right off the board."

"It was Toothless!" Adelaide gasped.

"That means Hiccup was involved in this as well," said Spitelout.

"Come ter think of it, Ruby hasn't shown up today either," said Gobber.

"Whoa, I don't know the guy had it in him," said Snotlout.

"Yeah, and why didn't he invite us?" Tuffnut asked annoyed.

"First they take on a demon, then they storm the Viking Council," said Ruffnut counting their exploits off her fingers. "And now they're taking on an S class quest. I'm starting to I think it's much more fun on Hiccup's team than Team Snotlout."

"Hey!" said Snotlout.

"Moving right along," said Fishlegs quickly. "It's unlike Hiccup to do something like this."

"Yeah, no kidding," said Alvin casually. "After all, it is a breach of the rules. Hey, Stoick, a stunt like that will get you kicked out of the Guild. Am I right?"

Stoick just sat there pondering.

Alvin shrugged. "Not like it matters," he said. "It's not like those three losers are going to make it back alive from an S class quest. At least we don't have to worry about Hiccup taking over this Guild."

Adelaide didn't agree with that statement. She stormed up the stairs and marched over to Alvin.

"Why didn't you stop them?!" she demanded, glaring at him.

"I never met the cat before today," said Alvin leaning back in his chair. "I wasn't even aware that we let animals into the Guild now. And I had no idea that he was Hiccup's pet. Never dreamed that Hiccup would break a rule like this."

"You did stir the fires if I remember," said Adelaide giving him a fearful glare.

Alvin looked amused. "You haven't given me that look in a while."

"What am I going to do with that boy?" said Stoick shaking his head. He then looked straight at Adelaide. "Which job was it?"

"For lifting the curse on Luna Island," said Adelaide still glaring at Alvin.

"What?!" Stoick gasped.

"Whoa, Hiccup's got more guts than I originally thought," said Snotlout sounding impressed.

"Now I really wish that we went with him," said Tuffnut.

Stoick ignored the comments and looked up at Alvin. "Alvin, go and fetch them at once," he ordered.

"I'm not your lapdog," said Alvin. "I've got better things to do than waste my time with weaklings. Besides, everyone in Dragon Tail is supposed to be able to take care of themselves. Right?"

"I don't care how you feel about Hiccup!" Stoick yelled. "The fact is you're the only one strong enough to bring them back by force."

"Save your breath, Master Stoick," said Ragnar getting out of his seat. "He wouldn't go after Hiccup, even if his life depended on it. I'll go after them."

Meanwhile, at the docks, Hiccup, Ruby and Toothless were looking for a boat to get to Luna Island.

"We need to find a boat that can take is to Luna Island and quickly," said Hiccup.

"Did you say Luna Island?" A voice asked. They turned and saw a boatman wearing a light green cape around his body. "Don't know why you'd want to go there? Even pirates are afraid to set foot on that island."

"Just our luck," said Ruby. "We get to the docks without getting caught by Dragon Tail Vikings, and we find out that no one wants to go to the island."

"It can't get any worse," said Hiccup.

Of course, the moment the words passed his lips he regret saying them.

"Oh, I think it can get worse," said a voice.

They turned and saw Ragnar standing behind them with his arms crossed.

"Ragnar!" Ruby gasped.

"What are you doing here?" Hiccup asked.

"Your father discovered the missing S class quest and send me to bring you back," said Ragnar walking down towards them. "I still don't believe that you, of all people, would do something so reckless."

"I just want to prove myself to my father," said Hiccup.

"Listen I'm just doing you a favour," said Ragnar. "If you come back now, you could avoid being kicked out of the Guild. Besides, you're just lucky that I'm not Astrid."

"I'm going to prove to my father, even if it's against the rules," said Hiccup setting his fist ablaze.

"If I have to fight you, Hiccup, I will," said Ragnar as his fist turned to ice.

"Magic?" The boatman observed. He then stood up and looked at the young Vikings. "Excuse me, but are you Vikings?" They all stared at him. "Have you come to lift the curse on Luna Island?"

"Yes," said Hiccup firmly.

"Maybe," said Ruby nervously.

"No!" said Ragnar firmly.

"In that case, get in," said the boatman.

"What?" said Ruby confused.

"Seriously," said Hiccup excitedly.

"No way," said Ragnar firmly.

Then, while Ragnar was distracted, Hiccup punched him in the chest, knocking him out cold. Hiccup then lifted Ragnar onto his shoulder.

"We're ready when you are, sir," said Hiccup.

"You sure we should be taking him?" Ruby asked worriedly.

"We can't let him go back and tell the Guild," said Hiccup. He then shuddered. "Because then they'll send Astrid after us."

"Good point," said Ruby.

Then the three of them and the unconscious Ragnar hopped onto the boat and the boatman began to set sail to Luna Island.

When Ragnar finally awoke and realised three things, first it was night, second his arms were tired and third he was sitting in a boat along with Hiccup, Ruby and Toothless.

"He's awake," said Toothless.

Ragnar looked around and realised they were in the middle of the ocean, he had a bad feeling he knew where they were going.

"Please tell me were not heading to Luna Island," said Ragnar.

"Unfortunately, yes," said Ruby.

Ragnar then looked at the boatman. "Why did you decide to let us on?" he asked.

"The name is Bobo," said the boatman. "And if you must know, I used to be a citizen of Luna Island." He then looked at them grimly. "But I had to leave; I just couldn't take it anymore." He then looked back at the open water. "I should warn you, tragedy falls on anyone who steps foot on the island," he continued. "There's no advoiding it. That is unless you're able to lift the curse."

He then lifted his cape to show them his left arm. They gasped, because instead of a human arm, he had a dark purple demon arm.

"This vile demon curse," he growled.

"What happened to your arm?" Ragnar asked.

"Is that the curse?" Ruby asked fearfully.

Bobo didn't answer and instead said, "We're almost there." Then they saw in the distance an island. "That's Luna Island."

The island didn't look scary; in fact it looked like a tropical island with a small mountain. However, Hiccup then noticed something glowing on the mountain top.

"Why is the mountain top glowing like that?" Hiccup asked.

However, when Hiccup turned around, he saw that Bobo had vanished without a trace.

"Where did he go?" Ruby asked.

"Did he fell out?" Ragnar asked.

"I didn't hear anyone fall into the water," said Hiccup.

"It's like he disappeared into thin air," said Toothless.

Suddenly they heard a strange noise behind them.

"What's that noise?" Ruby asked.

They turned around and gasped, heading straight towards them was a tidal wave. They all screamed as the tidal wave hit them.

"Hold on tight, everyone!" Hiccup yelled.

The boat capsized and they all fell into the water. Then everything went dark.

When Ruby opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was a sun casting its raise on her.

"Where am I?" Ruby asked rubbing her head.

She looked around and saw that she was on an island. She then noticed the others lying on the sand and saw the boat had been smashed into smithereens.

"You guys all right?" Ruby asked shaking Hiccup.

"I'm fine, but where are we?" He asked.

"I think well on Luna Island," said Ruby.

"We're lucky the wave washed us ashore," said Toothless.

"I won't call it lucky," said Ragnar, who was free from his bonds.

"I can't help but wonder what happened to the guy who brought us here," said Ruby thoughtfully. "Right after he told us about the curse, he vanished."

"Right now, we should try and find a village or something," said Hiccup.

Ruby then pulled out the request form. "Apparently there's only one village on the entire island," she said. "The village chief was the one who originally put in the request. So, I guess we need to try and find him."

"Not so fast," said Ragnar, who was leaning against a palm tree.

"Were not really gonna be doing this again," said Hiccup. "You can't take us back now that our boat is destroyed."

"You're right," said Ragnar. "That's why I'm coming with you." They all stared at him in disbelief. "If you can't beat them, join them. Your father will be upset, but if we pull this off, he won't a mad at us for long."

"Then I guess it is decided," said Hiccup smiling. "Let's go."

With that, the fall of them headed towards the village.

It wasn't until late at night that they were able to find the village.

"Well, we found the village," said Ragnar.

It wasn't as if they could miss it. It wasn't merely a village at all, more like a fortress. There was a large wooden fence surrounding the village and the entrance look like a gate with a big "Keep Out" sign stamped over it.

"Ye think," said Hiccup and then turned towards the gate. "The question is, how do we get inside."

"Anyone home!" Ruby yelled. "We came here to help you!"

"Who goes there?" A voice asked.

They looked up and saw two guards at the top of the gate holding spears.

"Where Vikings from Dragon Tail!" Ruby yelled. "We are responding to your quest!"

"Why weren't we not notified when you accepted the job?" One of the guards asked.

"Probably just a mix-up with the paperwork," said Ragnar quickly.

"Then let me see your emblems! Right now!"

All four of them then showed them their Dragon Tail emblems. The guard nodded and the gate opened up.

When they entered inside they saw that all the villagers were covered up head to foot in capes. Then a short stout man holding a staff that was shaped like a crescent moon walked up to them.

"I am Gandalf, the village chief," he said. "And on behalf of everyone here I welcome you. Pleasantry aside, there's something you need to see." He then faced the rest of the villagers. "Now, my people!"

All the villagers removed their capes and the young Vikings gasped. Just like Bobo, they all had demon body parts, some with arms, some with legs and some even had horns sticking out of their heads.

"It's just what happened to the boatman," said Ragnar.

"What happened here?" Hiccup asked.

"We don't really know," said Gandalf sadly. "For some reason this curse has horrible disfigurement us not even the animals are spared."

"Not to sound rude, but what makes you think it's a curse?" Ragnar asked. "It could be some kind of infection from a disease."

"We've consulted with dozens of doctors, young man, but they all agree that no such disease exists," said Gandalf. "You see, our symptoms began around the same time the moon fell under an evil spell."

"What kind of spell?" Ruby asked curiously.

"Since ancient times, this island has absorbed the light of the moon. Causing it to glow almost as beautifully as the moon itself," Gandalf explained. "However, several years ago, the moon's colour began to change and an eerie purple glow was cast upon the island."

"The moon changed purple?" said Hiccup.

Suddenly, the clouds parted and reviled the moon and indeed the moon was purple.

"Oh, wow," said Ruby in amazement. "It really is purple."

"If that isn't creepy I don't know what is," said Ragnar.

"It's the curse," said Gandalf. "I would stand back, the changes about to happen."

Suddenly, all the villages screamed in pain and clutching their bodies. Hiccup wanted to rush over and help, but he had no idea what was going on. Then they began to change into demons.

"They're changing," said Ragnar.

"Why is this happening to them?" said Hiccup in horror.

Then, once the transformation was complete, the villagers looked at them in shame.

"I'm sorry, if our appearance frightens you," said Gandalf.

"It's okay," said Ragnar. "I think we're just completely confused."

"You poor people," said Ruby tearfully.

"Don't worry we'll free this curse of yours," said Hiccup. "I take it the moon has something to do with these transformations."

"Indeed," said Gandalf. "Whenever the purple moon shows its face in the sky, everyone in the village takes a horrific demon form. If this isn't a curse, and I don't know what is?" Hiccup looked on as the villagers cried and comforted one another. "We'll return to normal once the morning comes and the sun has risen. However, there are some poor souls who can no longer switch back to the human form, for they have lost their minds."

"How sad," said Ruby.

"The only fate for them, these unfortunate souls in the grip of madness… we have no choice, but to put them to death."

They all gasped.

"How can you be sure they won't change back?" Hiccup asked.

"If we wait, the monsters would surely kill us all," said Gandalf sadly. "We've tried capturing them, but they always broke free. It's no use, once it takes hold there is no way to save them." Gandalf then pulled out a photograph and tears rolled down off his face onto the picture. "I should know, I was forced to kill my very own son."

He showed them the photograph and they gasped, it was a picture of Bobo.

"That's the guy… from before," Ruby gasped. "But we just saw him yesterday, he was—"

"shhh," Ragnar whispered and faced Gandalf. "Now I understand why he disappeared on us like that… he's dead, but his soul can't rest in peace."

Ruby just stared at him, horrified.

"Please, lift this evil curse from our island," Gandalf begged. "If this goes on much longer, we all may fall victim to it. We'll die."

"We won't let that happen," said Hiccup reassured. "We'll fix this, I promise you."

"Do you have any ideas on how to reverse this?" Toothless asked.

"There's only one way, this wretched curse can be lifted," said Gandalf. He then looked up at the moon above. "The moon… the moon must be wiped from the sky!"

The four Viking just stared at the elder dumbfounded.

Later that night, the four of them were making themselves comfortable in a house the villagers gave them.

Toothless was looking up at the sky. "I never thought the moon could be so creepy," he said.

"Just close the window," said Ruby, who was in her pyjamas. "You heard what the chief said; we've got to stay out of the moon light. You might not care, but I don't want risk to turn into a freaky looking monster."

"I'm starting to think choosing this certain S class quest was a mistake," said Hiccup.

"Yeah, do these people really think we can destroy the moon?" Ragnar asked.

"Even if we could it'll only course more trouble," said Hiccup. "I mean the moon helps a lot of people out."

"Your right," Ruby agreed. "If we do some investigating we might be able to find a different way to lift the curse from the island."

"Well, we can't do anything tonight," said Ragnar as he rolled his sleeping bag open. "I suggest we get a good night sleep and then start investigating in the morning."

"Sounds like a plan," said Hiccup.

Early the next morning, they left the village. All of them were feeling very sleepy, they didn't usual wake up at this time.

"Open Gate of the Clock! Horologium!" Ruby yelled.

Then smoke appeared and when it vanished they saw that Ruby was inside Horologium. Rolling their eyes, Hiccup, Ragnar and Toothless began to march up the mountain with Ruby and Horologium following close behind.

"I hope we find another way to lift this curse," said Hiccup.

"Well, we don't have much of a choice," said Ragnar. "The village may think the moon is cursed, but everyone else likes it… and destroying it might really mess things up."

"Yeah, the tide would get all crazy and the sky would be pitch black," said Toothless.

"'Would you guys keep it down,'" said Horologium repeating Ruby word from word. "'We don't know what's lurking out here, so we shouldn't draw any attention,' the lady demands impatiently."

"You should walk on your own," Hiccup advised.

"He's right," Ragnar agreed. "You just summoned your spirits, because you're lazy."

"'Listen, this curse is freaking me out, we have no idea what were up against and I'm scared,' she says nervously," said Horologium.

Suddenly, they heard some kind of banging noise, like large footsteps.

"What's that?" Hiccup asked.

They turned around and gasped. Standing there was a huge rock golem.

"There's something you don't see every day," said Ragnar.

"'What are you guys waiting for? Beat it up you guys!' she yells frantically," said Horologium.

The golem raised its fist ready to slam it down on them.

"Ice Make: Shield!" said Ragnar.

An icy shield appeared and blocked the golem's attack. However, it did cause the ground to shake and Horologium vanished leaving Ruby unprotected.

"Somebody help me!" she yelled.

"I'm on it," said Ragnar. "Ice Make: Floor!"

Then the ground in front of him turned to ice and caused the golem to slip. Then Hiccup jumped in the air and charge straight at it.

"Fire Dragon's Blazing Claw!" he yelled and slammed a blazing fist on the golem's head, knocking it out cold.

"Great that's over," said Ruby's signing relief. Then she noticed a stone temple with a crescent moon symbol on it. "Let's see if we can't find any answers in their?"

They enter the temple and realised at once that it was quite large, several of the pillars were broken, but it looked like it was in good shape.

"This place is massive," said Ruby in wonder.

"Yeah, but it's falling apart," said Hiccup gesturing to the broken pillars.

"Wonder how old it is," said Ragnar.

Hiccup then noticed several symbols pasted on the wall and recognise them as moons. "I think this temple was built to worship the moon," he said.

"It makes sense," said Ragnar studying the symbols. "Lunar Island used to be called the island of the moon."

"A moon island, a moon curse and weird moon symbols," said Ruby. "You've got to wonder what all this means."

"Maybe there's something about this curse here," said Hiccup as he walked to another wall. "Just be careful, I have the feeling that this floor is unstable."

Next moment, after taking another step, the floor underneath Hiccup collapsed and he fell through a giant hole. Next second, the floor underneath the others collapsed as well and they followed Hiccup down the hole.

They soon landed, hard, at the bottom of the hole. He looked up and saw that the hole they fell through was about a hundred feet deep, lucky the ground was soft to break their fall.

"Is everyone all right?" Hiccup asked.

"I'd be better, if you took your own advice," said Ruby angrily.

"I couldn't agree with her more," Ragnar muttered.

"Can you fly us out of here, Toothless?" Ruby asked.

Toothless shook his head. "No, it's too narrow."

Hiccup then saw a tunnel in the distance. "Maybe that'll lead a way out of here," he said.

They nodded and walked down the tunnel. As they walked through the tunnel, Hiccup felt it getting colder as they walked deeper into the tunnel. Once he reached the exit of the tunnel, he gasped.

"Guys, you may want to see this," he said.

"Something wrong?" said Ragnar.

"I think, there's more to this curse then we first thought," said Hiccup staring at a huge block of ice in front of him.

Ragnar, Ruby and Toothless looked at the block of ice closely and saw, trapped inside it, was a massive demon that was as big as Lullaby. The moment Ragnar saw it, he froze in a combination of fear and confusion.

"That's impossible," said Ragnar. "It's Deliora!"

"So that's Deliora," said Hiccup.

"But how—how could this happen?" said Ragnar as he walked closer to it. "Why is it here? What in the name of Hel is it doing here?"

"You've seen this thing before," said Toothless curiously.

Ragnar just stared at it, as if he seen a ghost and was shaking quite badly.

"Ragnar, calm down," said Ruby calmly. It took a few seconds, but Ragnar finally took in a deep breath and managed to stop shaking. "Now, can you tell us about it?"

"It's Deliora, the Demon of Destruction," he snarled.

"So, that's Deliora," said Hiccup.

"Why is it here? It doesn't make any sense!" Ragnar yelled.

Then they heard footsteps in the distance.

They quickly hid and saw two men walking inside. One was short with brown spiky hair and had a calculated look on him, the other was tall with blond hair and looked just as smart as the twins backing Dragon Tail.

"The voices seemed to come from down here," said the short one as they came into view. "I hate waking up in the morning." He then looked at his colleague. "So Torn where you exposed to the Moon Drip, you seem to have gotten a lot uglier."

"Not a nice way to talk to your friend, Veger!" Torn yelled loudly.

"Calm down, I was only teasing," Veger chuckled.

"You don't have to be so mean about it," said Torn sulking.

"The Moon Drip? Could that be the name of the curse?" said Ruby.

Then they saw another figure emerging from the tunnel, this time a young woman. She was pretty with red hair and had a lovable look about her.

"Veger, Torn, something terrible has happened," she said walking up to the two men.

"What is it now, Ashelin?" Veger asked.

"It's Stonewall, he's been attacked," said Ashelin sadly.

From their hiding place, Ruby, Hiccup and Toothless study the three curiously.

"I wonder who these guys are?" said Ruby.

"Judging by their scent, I picked up on them, they're not from the island," said Hiccup.

"And they doesn't like they have the demon curse," Toothless added.

"Intruders you say," said Veger.

"And it's almost time to begin collecting moon light again," said Ashelin. "All of this makes me so sad, this news would displease the Cold Emperor. We should get rid of them, before he finds out. Yes, we must find them, before the moons first light."

"Agreed," said Veger and Torn nodded in agreement.

"Since they've seen Deliora, we can't allow them to live," said Ashelin. "We'll give them the gift of eternal rest."

Then they heard something from within the tunnel.

"What was that?" Ashelin asked.

"Over there," Veger said pointing down the tunnel.

The three of them ran down the tunnel and once they were sure they were gone, the Dragon Tail Vikings emerged from their hiding place.

"Nice job, Toothless," said Ruby.

Toothless had silently left them and dropped a stone in the tunnel so the three they saw would go and investigate.

"Don't mention it," said Toothless.

"This job is getting more and more complicated," said Hiccup.

"Right, like who is this Cold Emperor?" Toothless asked.

Ragnar wasn't really listening, he was still thinking about Deliora in the ice. "Deliora," he muttered. "I still don't understand what would anyone would want with it. And how in the name of Hel were they able to find it."

"Was it hidden somewhere?" Ruby asked.

"It was sealed away, inside a glacier in the northern continent," Ragnar explained. "Hiccup knows this, a decade ago, this immortal demon ravaged Isvan… countless people lost their lives. The woman that taught me how to use my magic… my master, Ur, sacrificed everything to seal it away." Then Ruby saw Ragnar was clutching his fists and cold air was coming from them. "I don't know if this has anything to do with the curse on this island, but I do know that it doesn't belong here. This Cold Emperor… we have to find out who it is. If they tarnish my master's legacy—there going to regret the day they were born!"
