Chapter 10
Amanda and Rogue sat down at the nearest table at the food court at the mall. For Rogue it wasn't as akward as she thought it would be being that she's a mutant and Amanda is human. But the fact that she was carrying her niece or nephew made it a just a tad akward. Though really she just wanted to get to know the person the only human that's accepted her brother
"I know this is strange but then again there had been many strange things happening around in this day and age. So this should, be no different".said Amanda starting off the conversation.
"Yeah ah guess it would be. Honestly never thought this would happen." replied Rogue
"Me neither, well maybe not this soon."
"What do you mean ?" asked Rogue
"Well I hope to get married and have kids someday but after I have a career." explained Amanda
"Well you still could, do all those things it'll take a little longer then." said Rogue.
"Yeah, listen Rogue let's put our cards out on the table, you don't like me very much do you?" asked Amanda only for the mutant girl to shake her head no.
"It's not that Amanda, it's more me than you. Hasn't that brother of mine told you my powers.?" asked Rogue
"He has, you have the ability to touch people and absorb their energy temporarily." answered Amanda
"Right, and because of that ah don't like to get to close to people so Ah guess you can think of me as like a hedgehog."
"The only the hedgehog I know is the one that's blue, spins around really fast and collects gold rings. He's my other favorite blue guy." chuckled Amanda
"Kurt said you did love the color blue everything so ah guess ah shouldn't be surprised. But let's not get off topic here. Ah wanted to know what's your feelings on this? Are you really ready to have a baby."
Amanda's face turned serious she said this a thousand times to Kurt now she was going to say it to his adopted sister. She inched her seat closer to the table.
"I told this to your brother, now I'm gonna tell it to you. I am not giving up on us him, me. I love him no matter what. I remember I when I saw his true self that day. And at the sadie hawkins dance when I saw Kurt's true self up close I saw past his demon appearance. I would think that would be his disguise and underneath it he's human. Because demons are said to be evil but he isn't evil. Remember the phrase looks can be deciving you some of you may look evil but, you're aren't just misunderstood. And want to be left alone" stated Amanda letting out a breath after saying all of that.
While Rogue just sat there completely speechless, could this have been what Professor X has been saying all these years? That humanity can accept mutant kind? Amanda surely would be the first in the minority. Getting up to leave since she would need to get home before dinner
"Ah gotta say this; you have guts Amanda. Have you dropped by the insitute?" asked Rogue only for the human girl to shake her head no.
"You, should your baby daddy or ah should say future husband has just buried himself in daddy books. It's funny really Ah hate to see him when it comes crunch time."
"I'll come by the insitute later in few day for my check up. My dad's suppose to be coming back tonight." said Amanda also getting up.
"Ah alright ah try too keep Jean and Ororo from turning you into teenage single mother. Because that's what they've been trying to do almost every chance they got."
Amanda merely smiled and took her leave little did they know their conversation was heard by a certain digusie Hot Topic clerk
' I think it's high time I meet this girl personally and find out why my son is smitten with her ' thought Mystique

(Back at the Xavier insitute)
Kurt was currently in the danger room training with Cyclops. They've been at it for nearly three hours with Kurt relying on his acrobatics to dodge sharp objects while Cyclops was working on target practice with his optic blasts .
"Getting tired yet Kurt?" asked Cyclops as he blasted blade discs. All around.
"No just trying to stay alive iz all my friend." replied Kurt while he kept leaping about.
"Right, don't want to make Amanda into unwed single teenage mother right?"
"Not funny Scott, I Vouldn't be saying the same thing about you and Jean vould I."
"I know buddy but with the things we do there's almost no guarantee of survival. " said Scott blasting more discs
"Vou're right Amanda nearly worried herself sick during the Apocalypse saga." said Kurt evading laser fire.
The two kept training for a good two minutes until the room shut down. Professor X wheeled to the viewing platform to face the two X men.
"Good show of teamwork you too. Kurt could you meet me in my study there are somethings I'd like to discuss with you." said Professor X wheeling away
"On my way." said Kurt before teleporting out of the room.

(Xavier's study)
Kurt ported himself in front the fireplace though it wasn't on. He knew this conversation was coming sooner or later. There was no avoiding it Xavier was one of the most powerful mutants on earth he would know sooner or later. Sure enough the Prof wheeled into the room with a passive expression on his face. Taking a seat across from him Charles got to it.
"Alright, I'm sure you know why I ask you here?" asked Charles getting a nod from the blue elf.
"I figured you Vanted to talk to me sooner or later about me going into Fatherhood at my age. And this is one of the rare cases of mutant/human pregnancies in history." stated Kurt
"Yes, it's something that even I didn't forsee. Truly an unexpected event but about Amanda how is she feeling?"
"She's nervous and scared the same as me actually,the good thing is she wants to keep the baby. More importantly it iz a clear sign that you maybe right. About humanity excepting us." said Kurt causing Charles to smile a bit
"Has she informed her parents?" asked Charles only for Kurt to shake his head no.
"No she hasn't, in fact Ve've been seeing each other in secret for a few years. I don't vant to imagine Vhat will happen if they found out she's pregnant and I'm the father. That's why I was hoping to get your help Professor."
"Kurt you know you can always come to me for help that's why my school exists. And though it was not I was I expecting but I know your relationship with Amanda is the first step to human and mutant kind coexisting." Charles said in an assured tone of voice relaxing Kurt.
"Professor if Vorse comes to Vorse can Amanda stay here? I think'll it maybe safer for her during her during the later stages of her pregnancy." said Kurt getting a nod from him.
"Of course just let me know when you to speak to her on the matter. It would be good for her to have the extra help."
Kurt nodded at that knowing that Kitty and other girls would be willing to lend a hand when the time came.

(Amanda's house )
Amanda was found lying on her bed reading an ET weekly magazine. Her mother was out right now to pick up her father from the airport and wouldn't be back for a little while so she completely alone. Though she hoped that her blue elf might come and sweep her away. Giggling she thought to call him hoping Kurt wasn't doing a misson she was about to pick up the phone but suprisigly her doorbell rang.
'Who could that be?' thought Amanda getting up to answer the door.
She went downstairs and opened it and to her surprise it was Laura Goodwin the clerk at the hot topic store.
"Oh hi you're that girl that works at hot topic right?"
"Yes, could I come in there is something I was hoping to discuss with you." said Laura getting a confused look from Amanda but let her inside.
"About what?" she asked closing the door.
"About your mutant boyfriend." she said simply getting a surprised look from Amanda
"What? I don't have a -" Amanda
"Don't play games with me, girl I know all about you." replied Laura
"So what if I do? Are you gonna label me a mutie lover all over bayview?" asked Amanda folding her arms only for the girl to shake her head no.
"No, far from it I want to know your relationship with him."
"Well I don't think it's any of your business!" said Amanda getting angry.
"I want to make my business cause that mutant is my son!" Laura exclaimed getting a shocked look from the human girl.
Before Amanda could asked anything Laura changed right in front her into the blue mutant shapeshifter Mystique clad in her black top and black short skirt.
"My name is Raven Darkholm my alias is Mystique mother of Kurt Wagner." stated Mystique
