Harry Potter is not mine.

Serena could not sit still. No matter how much Cedric tried to calm her down or James glared at her, she couldn't help but bounce her knee or tap her fingers. It was always something. Serena couldn't help it because she was extremely nervous. James was seconds from casting a full body bind on her when finally his client arrived. They had arrived early to the Three Broomsticks early so that they wouldn't be caught by surprise but the three hadn't been expecting James's client to be late.

"Sorry about my tardiness Lady De Luca, Lord Diggory, James." The man tipped his hat at each person. It was clear that he had a glamor on but Serena chose not to mention it or anything. The only thing that mattered was he was there.

"It's okay sir." Serena stood up and shook his hand. "My cousin seems to have failed to mention your name. He's often forgetful like that, I apologize."

"Quite alright, the name's Elijah Thompson." Elijah sat down across from Serena and Cedric. "James told me that you'd like to know about a certain witch who has been spotted recently."

Serena held her hand up, looking around to see if anyone was paying attention she then cast her most powerful privacy spells. She wanted to make sure that no one would be able to hear what was being said.

"That's correct Mr. Thompson." Serena was in full business mode. James recognized this shift in the way she carried herself, the tone of her voice, and overall the way she acted with Elijah. Serena had learned this from a young age with her father being the Minister of Magic.

"What would you like to know?" Elijah asked. He knew instantly that this was a girl he didn't want to screw with.

"Everything that you know." Serena appeared more confident that she really felt. "Anything that you feel can help me track down that witch you mentioned."

"Alright, well she was spotted by my boys in Diagon Alley trying to get into Gringotts but since she's a wanted criminal she'd be arrested on the spot." Elijah started explaining. "Throughout the week since then she's been staying in a real shady place in Knockturn Alley."

"Okay, so how many people do you think she'll have with her?" Serena asked.

"What do you mean Rena?" Cedric asked, he knew Serena was determined to make sure Bellatrix was no longer a threat but no matter how hard he tried Serena wouldn't let her bond see what she planned.

"It doesn't matter Cedric, I'll talk to you about it later." She spoke under her breathe. Cedric sighed and nodded, reluctant to let it go.

"It completely depends. From my boys I've found out that she tends to stick to herself when staying around Knockturn Alley but any other time she has about four people that seem to act as her bodyguards." Elijah said as he shifted, he was intimidated by such important people if he was to be honest with himself. The sapphire blue eyes he looked into briefly scared him. They showed courage, determination, and something he couldn't quite place but he respected it.

"Okay." Serena said simply. She sat there for a couple of seconds without saying anything then pulled out a bag. Serena then pulled out a piece of paper. "I got this from Gringotts, it's basically the wizard's version of a check. Not many know about this because the purebloods think they're better than everyone. All you have to do is sign your name and I'll sign mine and then you'll be paid for the information you've provided."

Without another word Elijah signed the paper and Serena signed it as well. They shook hands and the man quickly took his exit. Serena stood, put her cloak on, and then waited for her bond and cousin. She made her way out of the Three Broomsticks waiting for the impending argument. James had been too quiet for her liking and she knew that he had an idea of what she planned to do. Serena felt a strong grip on her arm, twirling around she saw that it was James. His blue gray eyes looked like steel, normally she'd shrink away from him but Serena was too determined this time.

"What are you thinking?" James asked in a low voice.

"What, you don't already know?" Serena threw back at him. She looked over at Cedric and could tell that he was equally pissed off at her.

"Serena I know you want to get even but this isn't the way." James never yelled, his voice always got lower instead making him a heck of a lot more intimidating.

"I know it isn't alright!" Serena yelled. "You and I both know that I'm well aware that what I want to do is the last thing I should be doing! Yet I don't care! I want to do it! Carmen deserves it, your parents deserve it, and you sure as hell deserve it!"

Cedric was getting nervous, there seemed to be a crowd starting to draw around the two. Even with the privacy spells he had casted it was still obvious the two were arguing. It was all students at Hogwarts and Cedric could see on their faces the rumors that would be spread.

"Serena, James, enough." Cedric shouted. "James, you should be getting back to Rosie. Serena we need to talk. You two are drawing a crowd and I know that both of you don't want that so we should get going."

Without another word Serena stalked off, the two men right behind her. It was a silent journey back to Hogwarts, the atmosphere tense and Serena radiating anger. Cedric could sense something else though through their bond. Once back at Hogwarts Serena walked off without another word. The men sighed and bid each other farewell, James went off to speak with Minerva about his cousin and Cedric went to talk to Serena. The Hufflepuff Heir wasn't sure what had gotten into his bond lately which worried Cedric. Usually Serena kept their link open, happy to share her thoughts and feelings with him but the last two days leading up to meeting up with James and Elijah she was distant and quick to snapping at the others. Cedric found Serena in the FC's usual room, the castle had provided practice dummies that the Slytherin Heir was currently blowing to bits using a blasting hex.

"Rena we need to talk." Cedric said as he walked into the room. Serena sighed and turned to face him.

"I want to kill Bellatrix." Serena looked at Cedric, he could see underneath the tough exterior that she had grown into there was still the haunted girl he first met. "There I said it, are you happy now?"

Cedric sighed and walked over to Serena, wrapping his arms around her small frame. "Of course I'm not happy you fool."

Serena let out a small laugh. "I've just been so set on this since she killed James's parents that it's hard to think of doing anything else. Honestly Cedric, it doesn't feel right to think of another punishment that would be fitting for her. Does that make me a monster?"

"No, it makes you human. You should talk to someone about how you're feeling though, maybe your mom or dad. You also need to apologize to James." Cedric played with a stray hair of Serena's. Serena groaned into his chest. "I know love but you two are like siblings and I would hate to see that torn apart over something like this."

Serena looked up at Cedric, her eyes wide and bright. "You called me love."

"Really?" Cedric smirked. "Is that what I did?"

"Yes, now if I admit that you're right about James will you shut up and kiss me?" Serena laughed.

Cedric shook his head at his bond's silliness but leaned down anyways and captured her lips into a sweet kiss that quickly deepened into something deeper. Serena sighed into the kiss and wrapped her hands in Cedric's hair. She knew that soon she'd have to take care of Bellatrix but right now, Serena was going to enjoy being in the arms of her bond.
