chapter 9: Rival?
Seirin clan; 5.a.m Sunday morning
"UP, UP, UP!"
A gruff voice woke the sleeping Seirin all in one go except for the sleeping beauty who hit his 'alarm clock' and groaned,
" 5 more minutes, mom."
"OI! Newbie, you better wake the hell up! You think this is your palace?!"
" G... good morning M…master!"
Kotaro stuttered as he realized who he had just slapped in the face.
" Since it is such a beautiful Sunday morning," it was pouring outside, it was pitch black and it was 5 in the morning. Very beautiful.
" I decided to give a little present to our new recruits...
An agility test!"
Groans could be heard from all around the four walls.
Ignoring the grunts of his underlings
"It's 5 a.m..."
"Yes?! Any problem, Cupcake?!" He questioned the Blonde's complaint.
"N- no master!"
"...good. And the heavens have blessed us with this wonderful rain, that would be able to train you cupcakes even better!"
The mood of the new Seirin members darkened just when they were hinted that they are going to be tested outside and going to get drenched.
"Anyway, here's the test! The famous landmark of the world the Tokyo Tower it not only serves as a observation tower, but it controls the whole security of Tokyo. Get me the Blue chip located right at the heart of the tower. It's the only blue chip there it's easily spotted."
Master Val spoke matter-of-factly.
"By placing the blue chip in any hardrive, we can hack the entire security system of the Kanatawa District the richest district in Tokyo! And when you are there get the black chip too, this way we can get hold of the Tokyo Tower as and when we like and use it as a observation tower to our needs... well? get going! You have until sunrise!"
Quickly, the half-awake Newbies quickly put in their mission gear and ran out of the clan.
"... Taiga... Kuro... I have something for you to do..."
"Ngh!"
Kagami clutched his torso to stop the excruciating pain.
Kuroko and Kagami were getting instructions from the Master when suddenly he felt a sharp pain stretching from his lower back to the front of his belly .
He quickly excused himself to the bathroom and immediately took his shirt off only to be greeted by the horrific sight of blue protruding veins all around the suddenly fading tattoo of a light blue fox sitting on a waning crescent moon.
"The hell..."
"Kise! You bastard how could you just walk into a freaking obvious trap?!"
Kasamatsu fumed at Kise.
"I'm sorry, Senpai! I thought we could take them but... IDidntKnowTheyHadFlyingTaserGuns!"
"Damn it... why are we the ones tied up here when.. look at Akashi he took down 6 of them in just one minute! And Midorima shot down at least 3 more from THAT distance... oh don't get me started with Takao... it makes me feel... weak."
"Don't say that senpai..."
"Face it Kise. We need to train harder."
The chains around them suddenly became looser and they realised that all high levelled security guards were all down and it all happened in a split second, as if they just travelled in... time.
"How did you that Sei-Chan?" Reo awed.
"I...I'm not sure I just fought normally and... this happene-"
he felt a needle pierce through his skin all of a sudden,
"Sei-chan..." Mibuchi asked in concern.
but ignored it since he had something more important to attend to at the moment... to complete the mission before dawn.
"I'm okay. Let's go we have to complete this mission before dawn."
This process continued over and over again in the abundance of rooms in the Tower just to find that stupid chip...No offence.
Sometimes Kise gets his glory by defeating some of the Flying taser gun armed guards.
While, Akashi on the other hand looked invincible in the eyes of the others who obviously were too impressed to be impressed. But due to human errors, he did receive the most damage on his guards in contrary to the number of guards he fought with.
"We're never gonna did that room!"
Kotaro groaned as he opened the door of yet, another room.
There were chips laid all across the table.
"Hey, we found the room!" Kotaro was surprised at his luck.
Yellow.
Green.
Yellow.
Yellow.
Green...
B...!
...Brown.
"Where the hell is the Blue chip?! We have to leave this room quickly!"
Kasamatsu complained.
"Chill. It's not like we are going to fall into a death battle once we find it!"
Kotaro sneered.
"Looking for this?"
It was the Blue chip and it was in the hands of...
"KUROKO?!"
They all shouted in unison.
He was wearing a thin long-sleeved white blouse with long, black pants and a maroon tie hanging around his neck.
Alongside next to him was none other than the shadow's light, wearing a long, white pants and a short-sleeved maroon blouse.
"Actually your right Kotaro. We are having a death battle."
Kagami stated frankly.
"The universe just LOVES to prove me wrong doesn't it?"
"You just make it too easy!"
Mibuchi shouted from the back.
"Hey where did they- AH!"
Kuroko appeared from the back and ave Mibuchi a punch on his back.
"I won't hesitate."
He then lunged forward to strike again but this time he got blocked by Akashi.
"Neither will we! Akashi cab handle Kuroko! Get Kagami!"
Kasamatsu commanded.
"They really seem to underestimate me."
"Actually," Akashi corrected "it's more like they have a lot of faith in me. And I won't let them down!"
Akashi gave Kuroko a back hook which he effortlessly blocked.
He had a fast come back and gave two punches inclusive of a 360 roundhouse kick.
But Kuroko was agile he dodged everything and managed to give Akashi a blow towards his head.
Akashi still fought on, with every ninja move he had learnt. However, failing yet once again. He took a quick glance at the others who also looked like they have the same fate.
Kuroko and Kagami somehow managed to fight alongside each other and gave three strong fire-powered blows towards the new Seirin.
It went like, Kagami shoots fire while Kuroko ignites it to form an invincible shot.
"You got to do better than this Akashi-kun. You have to think of all the possibilities."
"I don't think we can make it in time... we are in an enclosed room on top of a famous trademark fighting the fire of the strongest ninja pair... and we don't even have the chip!"
Kise negatively stated.
The necklace on Akashi neck glowed for a brief second, (fortunately no one noticed) and shot a sharp electric shock up Akashi's spine into the back if his head.
'... wait a second, enclosed room... fire... famous trademark... since the Tokyo Tower indeed is a famous trademark there is no doubt that construction workers hadn't prepared for a fire... I got it.'
"Kise and the rest. I have a plan..."
The New Seirin team followed through Akashi's plan just as planned. Kasamatsu and Nebuya stood together waited for the next fire blow, Takao would give the signal Akashi would distract Kuroko and Kise, would distract Kagami. Midorima would reflect the fire towards the system and trigger of the sprinklers.
"Kagami-kun quick get me a plastic bag, the chip will break if it is wet!"
Kuroko the turned around to the New Seirin members.
"Well done, you passed the test. You thought out of the box and defeated us."
"Welcome to Seirin!"
Kagami grinned.
"Shi- !"
Akashi cursed in utter shock.
After returning to his new home, Seirin he was prepared to remove his clothing and shower but when he did, he saw that there was blue ink appearing from his body. And it stretched from his lower back to the front of his torso.
That made him think... when the sprinkler was on and it drenched Tetsuya's shirt...what was that blue thing on his skin?
"Kuroko Tetsuya please sit next to that boy in Orange hair."
Due to all the missions these days, the members of Seirin had skipped many days of school and it made the school call Master Val and threatened to give them extra lessons if they don't appear the next day. Not to mention it was only the third day of school for them.
It forced Val to abide and bring them to school and due to them oversleeping, by the time they reached Teiko, it was already Kuroko's fourth period... Chemistry.
"Hello! Ogiwara Shigehiro here! I'm the captain of Teiko's Kendo club and your lab partner!"
The orange haired boy enthusiastically stated. he had a peculiar smiling air around him and a grain of rice just below his mouth... no one would ever guess he was into Kendo, or even better the captain.
"... Kuroko Tetsuya, nice to meet you Ogiwara-kun."
