Chapter 10
The Empty Child
Ben, Rose and The Doctor are in the TARDIS and Rose said "What's the emergency?"
The Doctor replied "It's mauve." Rose, Ben and the Doctor rush around the console, as the TARDIS shudders and shakes.
Rose then asked "Mauve?"
The Doctor then said "The universally recognized color for danger."
Rose then said "What happened to red?"
Ben then said "I assume it's either just for us human or that in a billon zillion years we change to Mauve".
The Doctor then said "That's just humans. By everyone else's standards, red's camp. Oh, the misunderstandings. All those red alerts, all that dancing." He gestures to the object they are following through the Time Vortex on the monitor.
The Doctor then said "It's got a very basic flight computer - I've hacked in, slaved the TARDIS. Where it goes, we go."
Rose then asked "And how safe is it?"
Ben got a box and changed into pants that had pockets bigger on the inside and place a carboard box with holes on it in his pocket;

The TARDIS materializes behind some bleak looking houses in London. Rose exits, followed by the Doctor and then Ben.

The Doctor and Ben emerge into the corridor. they meet Rose and Jack coming the other way. Jack then said "Good evening. Hope I'm not interrupting - Jack Harkness." Then shuck the Doctor's hand and then Ben's "I've been hearing all about you on the way over.""
Rose said to Ben and mostly The Doctor "He knows. I had to tell him about us being Time Agents."
The Doctor and Ben nod.
Jack then said "And it's a real pleasure to meet you, Mr Spock."
He pats the Doctor heartily on the shoulder, and walks off, leaving the Doctor looking rather bemused. "and you too Mr. Star.
DWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDW
They're in the hospital with people with gasmasks melded to their face and scars coming towards them."
The Doctor then said "don't let them touch you."
Rose then said "What happens if they touch us?"
Ben said "we become them"
They still chant, 'mummy' as they back the four of them against a wall.
DWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWDWThe gas-mask people have surrounded the Doctor, Ben Rose and Jack, still calling for 'mummy'.
